We ate dinner at Rustico during our weekend in Aberdeen and were super impressed by the quality of the food! Delicious starters and cooked-to-perfection mains with fresh ingredients. The staff was very welcoming and kind. The bonus is that the restaurant is dog friendly! 🐕 Will definitely come back to this hidden gem

Good classic Italian food, very popular in Aberdeen. Seafood dishes cooked very well. Service was quite slow, we were in quite a large group but perhaps the restaurant found that a little overwhelming to cope with. Overall happy with the meal.

Unpretentious & honest family run restaurant.. went for an impromptu Saturday lunch and after spending just over 30 quid between the two of us, we could barely move. Not a Michelin-star type of a restaurant, but I don't consider it a bad thing - they do their own thing and it seems to work well. Slight criticism, bruschetta was a bit bland, but considering it's January, and even in the height of summer you can't get decent ones in this part of the world - I still think the result was more than satisfactory. Not our first visit, and I'd hope to be returning for more

First time to Rustico, a well known Italian in Aberdeen City centre. It was a Saturday night and the place was rammed. Lots of good options on the menu. I had the vitello saltimbocca, it was very nice, but wouldn't have minded a bigger portion, more vegetables etc. Friends had linguine al pesto and linguine al porcini and gave it a thumbs up. Its quite pricey, but considerably better than the various chain Italian restaurants elsewhere.

The name of the restaurant really reflects what it’s inside, no fancy / trendy stuff. It is about tradition and real Mediterranean culture. The decor, furniture are “rustic style” as well A lot of personnel so the service is great, no waiting time, if you need anything, someone is still around and will be helpful Regarding the food, I ordered: Starter : prosciutto crudo and Main : Vitello saltimbocca and dessert : a delicious home made tiramisu All were tasty, well served and cooked (main) My colleagues really appreciated what they ordered as well.

Visited Rustico tonight and both had a lovely meal. We’ve eaten here before but first visit back since lockdown. We love the traditional decor and nook and cranny layout giving a cosy feel. Service was super fast and efficient. All staff were polite and helpful, they really couldn’t have done better. Each dish was nice, hot and well cooked. Can’t say any dish jumped as exciting but each was nice enough and good value. Menu offered a nice range for each course so sure there is something for everyone here.

Really lovely Italian place and we definitely recommend that you visit! The service was absolutely fantastic and the food was tasty. We recommend having the cheesy garlic bread and the profiteroles for dessert (don’t let the white chocolate put you off, it’s not too sweet and the balls are filled with a chocolate cream- so yum I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture !!).

I had dinner here tonight and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly when I went in and I like the decor and the lovely photos of Sicily on the walls. I ordered cozze as a starter and OMG was it awesome. A huge portion and full of great flavour. These mussels were fresh and well cooked. I followed it up with a Linguine Al pesto Siculo. Again a very abundant portion. The pasta was well cooked and the pesto was top notch. It’s a Sicilian pesto so not your usual basil pesto. This was genuinely a great meal. It did everything it needed to do. It filled me up, delighted me and satisfied my tastebuds. The service was also very good and very friendly. I genuinely felt like I was in Italy. I’d easily say, if you like Italian food and you are thinking of trying this place, then just do it, you won’t be disappointed.

So very pleased with this place!!! Both service and food were 5 star! The pizzas and the pasta meals were so extremely good and prepared deliciously! The wine and starters - delightful, the prices - very reasonable. The whole staff - so kind and welcoming, loved the personal attitude. The atmoshere was also nice and warm. We stayed in Aberdeen for the weekend and this restaurant was our choice for dinner both days.

Fantastic meal, we shared 2 the bread and olives between 3 of us as we knew the main portions were big. Chicken and chorizo risotto was amazing, a huge portion. The aubergine pesto pasta was superb, so tasty, and a lovely bottle of Sauvignon blanc to go with it. 😋

An amazing Italian restaurant in the city centre. The food was delicious and very generously portioned and the staff were friendly, helpful and wonderfully cheerful at all times. They are very child friendly and with children basically getting a half portion, half price selection from the usual adult menu. Looking forward to going back again.

Rústico ristorante have a very convenient lunch menu. We have been there both at lunch time and in the evening and the service is good. Pasta is good quality and cooked al dente. It has a moderate selection of desserts, that’s somewhere they could widen.

me and my husband were seeing a concert in Aberdeen on Tuesday. My husband researched where to eat and discovered Rustico at 62 Union Street. What a marvellous discovery, we had a wonderful, beautifully cooked meal there and we will certainly go and eat there again. The waiting staff are well trained and courteous. We didn't book on Tuesday, we will definitely book before our next meal to make sure we get a table.

Very fitting interior design which immediately makes you feel like in Italy. It reminded me a bit of Florence. The waiters are quite attentive even if sometimes maybe a bit too much. I do not think of it as a negative point at all though. The prices are really quite average and there is enough variety so that all fans of the Italian cuisine can find something for them. The juices are also good. The only reason that it does not get a five star is that while it tasted good it was not special either. Do not be fooled though the restaurant is definiately still good.

The food was great, service was good, prices slightly on the high side, but food availability was poor. Imagine going to a pub with no beer, this was similar in that we went for an Italian meal and there were no pizzas. The pizzaman was away on holiday his first in 3 years. Unlucky for us? Yes, but no garlic bread, the green cheese and broccoli soup was finished as was another main course!

My cousin and I both really enjoyed the Padellata Siciliana fish stew. It came with a side of vegetables. The portions are large and so tasty. My sister ordered the steak and It was so tender, she was able to cut It with a dinner knife. We highly recommend Rustico for an excellent meal.

Without doubt one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever visited and dined in. The staff were exceptional - friendly, attentive, welcoming, nothing was too much. The food... even better, wow! The special starter of Sicilian pork belly ribs served with mixed leaves salad was quite simply sensational. The pork just broke away from the fork and melted in my mouth. If you love authentic Italian food and you're in Aberdeen you must go here!

We were in Scotland for 13 days..and although it is not traditional Scottish cuisine it was absolutely delicious! We made a reservation for four a few hours beforehand and very grateful we did as it got very busy while we were there. The wait for the food was quite lengthy, but when the food arrived it was worth it! Favourites were the mussel pot and a caprese salad, my son really enjoyed the pizza 😁

The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was authentic and warm, and the staff were highly attentive and accommodating. Aberdeen is competitive and has good choices for Indian and Thai restaurants but in my experience has lacked strong contenders in Italian cuisine. Might be the local/regional influence and what people want, so this was not exactly what I wanted. Still good service and quite good food but is it Tuscan, Roman or ?

A lot of Italian restaurants have very similar menus. Rustico has several dishes I've never tried. I got the Linguine al Pesto Siculo which was really tasty, had plenty of the unique vegetable pesto and nice al dente pasta. Would definitely come back here.

Great as always. Easy to order on the website and simple to collect. Food is always fantastic, even as takeaway like it has been during the pandemic. Well what a busy little place this is! Friday night at 6.00pm. By 7.00pm it was heaving. the staff were all excellent and helpful, we were a table for 9, and we were all served expediently, 😉.. the food was of good quality, and plenty of it, given that spaghetti Ragu, is a house speciality, it was for me (big bloke) a bit small. Yet it was really good nice flavour and well presented and cooked, the restaurant was full, but there was more than enough staff, and smiling faces to make sure that you got the best service. there were other big groups in as well. sonwell.done and if visiting do go.. because its busy it can be a tad loud.. enjoy..

Rustico is one of the best Italian restaurants in Aberdeen and in my experience never disappoints. The older part downstairs is nice and the upstairs in the newer extension is probably better but the food is excellent and the wine good value. The staff are pretty much always helpful and the only challenge is getting a table if you dont book at the weekend

Visited for an annual winter meet up with friends..hadn't been for a while, so was eager to see if menu was as good as before. The restaurant was very busy, which was a good sign. The mainly italian menu was so much added too, as i could remember and we all had nothing but good words for the food on offer. The staff were very attentive, but not overbearing. A glass of limoncello was offered at end of meal, as a thank you for visiting. The restaurant is situated on a corner and has 3 levels, very quirky interior.. We all enjoyed our evening, and would visit again. One of the best in Aberdeen.

Located off the main drag of Union Street - what a find!! Arrived early - just after 6 - which turned out to be a boon! By the time I left about 7.20 they were nearly queuing to get in! Food was fantastic - Pollo Milanese & Tiramisu - perfection. As I'm here for the week I'll be back!! Not forgetting staff who are all working hard to please - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive - a pleasure to dine!
