M.Lunch upstairs on the pier today, 2 courses starting with leek and potato soup with wedges of warm bread and butter followed by chunky beef and ale crusty pie in onions and gravy with mash, broccoli and Chardonnay carrots, Belinda had butternut squash and mushroom risotto, absolutely delicious, the food was pipping hot, excellent service made very welcome in a lovely setting and view from the pier, washed down with a cold lager shandy. We have had food on numerous occasions this year with just ourselves and the grandchildren and have always been delighted with the good and service. Definitely recommend this venue.

Some good screens to watch sport. Snooker, pool darts, and other games to hire. Good choice of lager and some beers. The pier outside is a great place when the weather is good enough.
R. C.The restaurant experience could be better in terms of comfortability of furniture it was not very comfortable to sit in the chairs especially if you are someone who is big. Regardless this is about the food, my order was a basic starter of 4piece share meal and it was accompanied by a beer, the beer was alright but would have been better if it was offered to be served in a glass as its a restaurant not a pub. Nonetheless once my food arrived I was somewhat happy with the appearance everything was freshly hot and tasty I really enjoyed the chicken balls, so if u ever get a chance just order those. The shrimp nuggets just broke instantly didn't even hold the fork test. But the chicken balls were the star of the set. Perfectly juicy chicken coated in light batter. The restaurant does offer other things such as pasta and seafood but next time I'll try the pasta and see I was not impressed with the burger it looks very bland accompanied by basic toppings but no sauces. Which was a minus for me the reason I gave the 3 stars is there is room for improvement. I will update the review when I try the other dishes and accompany it with pictures.

N. M. F.Arrived at 17:45 and was informed that food was served until 18:00 but their team was more than happy to seat me and my partner. We both had the trio of meats Sunday roast with a side of cauliflower cheese. Food arrived extremely fast. I have to say that this is the best Sunday roast I've had in Aberystwyth in year's the portion sizes were big and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend upstairs at the pier to anyone who wants a great meal and beautiful scenery and the service was on point .

J. W.Four of us had a fabulous lunch in this hidden away gem of a place. You'd never believe this was on the pier, from the outside. The service was excellent and we were helped with the wheelchair by a lovely gentleman. We had fish of the day, lamb shank, rump and ribeye steaks and all were fabulous. It's not cheap but well worth every penny. Oh, and the views are lovely.

R.Polite and cool staff, decent selection of drinks but more soft drinks for people who are allergic to sweeteners. I also find the need to be ID'd to enter is a bit of a letdown especially if you only want a nice pint of coke on the deck at 1pm in the afternoon. They will ID you regardless of what you plan to drink there.
Most places will start IDing after 9pm from what I've noticed or will ID only when attempting to buy alcohol. So 1 less star for me based on this mild inconvenience and illogical step in visiting the pier.
S. H.I am vegetarian and there was only one vegetarian option for the main which was a spicy roasted aubergine. I am not very good with spicy food so the lovely waiter went to talk to the chef who the chef made myself and my friend a very tasty mushroom pie. The waiter is always professional and attentive. It would be better if there were two vegetarian options for the main. The food was delicious. I highly recommend a visit.
a. c.12 of us visited on 12 February 2022 and had one of the best meals I’ve had in ages. Condensed Valentine’s menu was available although chef cooked another meal for a member of our party at her request. I had beetroot cheese and pear salad with caramelised orange peel which was gorgeous I also had Hake on red pepper and clam risotto which was amazing. One member of our party was vegan and she loved her celeriac meal. The meat eaters also enjoyed those steaks all cooked to their individual liking. Would highly recommend this restaurant for both food and excellent service ,

They have a crackin' £10 offer midday -5pm weekdays for a main course and a drink. I couldn't resist the scallop starter,though; perfectly seared scallops with parsnip puree,lardons and wild garlic. For my main I had a lightly sealed minute steak with chimichurri and proper chips with sea salt. It came with a pint of Coke zero,total cost £21. Excellent value. And with friendly service and probably the best seaviews in Aberystwyth, what's not to like?

With mash and veg, incredible food, definitely worth the money, service was perfect, the view is beautiful, We'll definitely be coming here again. Not much more I can say, apart... Try to get a window seat to get the views of the coastline. The menu was a pleasant choice to suit all tastes. The service staff were polite and friendly and suggested things to have. Overall a nice find to visit again
F. P. (.Nice setup, although difficult to find from the numerous entrances. Sadly they don't accept dogs, even to go onto the pier seating. Cold to sit and eat, but it was a windy October afternoon. Food was nice enough, but not exactly as described. Fish & chips provided via takeaway was reasonable, although the batter was a bit undercooked. Generally had a nice time.
M. J.We stopped in for lunch on a windswept Tuesday in September. Not knowing what to expect, and we were very pleasantly surprised.
Grilled Cod was perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce and Burger was enormous.
Thoroughly recommend if you want more tha a greasy spoon, plus a lovely view off the end of the pier.

C. J.We went to the restaurant during our family visit to Aberystwyth this week. The food was good but felt £19.50 for a steak was too expensive, especially as we had to pay £2.50 on top of that for a portion of chips. The pasta dish I had was nice but not worth the £18.00. Service was OK but not brilliant. For two adults and two children we paid £112.30 for our meal. We had starters and mains and bottle of wine. No dessert. Food was good but massively overpriced. Won't be returning due to the prices!

N. U.Popped in for drinks whilst in the arcade but ended up staying for food. All was freshly cooked and tasty, I can recommend the fajitas! My wife had the fish pie which she liked but wasn't told it had calamari, something she didn't like.

Food so much better than the usual end of the pier restaurant. Although fairly basic choices, we had the fish pie and it was amazing - more prawns and mussels etc than expected and at a fairly reasonable under a tenner price (cant remember exactly how much but posher places would have charged double). Fantastic views across the bay, starling murmeration and it even stopped raining! Not exactly cordon bleu but great food at reasonable prices, would definitely recommend. 😊😊😊

The "older" waiter hasn't been there and the staff are no where near as attentive. We waited 40 minutes for meals (only 2 other tables in) with no apology when chased. The food was ok at best. Sad as we've always loved eating here.

The bad: Food wasn't all that great. We were in a party of four, and the dishes seemed to be either over-salted (pork dish, chorizo/rosemary pizza, starting bread) or completely bland (veggie pizza).
The bread is perhaps an easy fix to make it less salty. The establishment might also consider investing some thought/experimentation in the pizza sauce, as this would make this aspect of the meal considerably better both in pepping up the veggie and having the ability to reduce the salt-content in the other.

Very warm welcome for a recent family birthday party. Good and very friendly service, especially for the several youngsters - 5 and under - in the party. Honest, tasty, value-for-money food, with something on the menu for everybody (Fish & Chips, burgers, vegetarian fajitas, fresh pizzas and more)...and of course great views over the Ceredigion Bay.
