Me and my girlfriend visited for an early valentines meal and was pleasantly surprised with a versatile and super tasty tasting menu. Each dish stood out in its own way and held tonnes of flavour, whilst the presentation was also immaculate. Service was incredible and the staff were super friendly. We also were gifted with a complimentary desert and a couple of cordial bottles to take home. Would highly recommend if you have £200-£300 to spend. Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion!

It’s hard to find the right words to describe how fantastic Adams was. It must be one of the most elegant & stylish looking restaurants I’ve been to. The food is cooked to a very high standard. Every dish was unique & creative. Then the amazing staff really enhances an already fantastic experience. This is a destination restaurant and is a must visit for food lovers.

Some people like an afternoon at Old Trafford. Or perhaps Edgbaston for the same money. I suggest you immediately consider being drowned in flavour and innovation at Adam's.
I'm watching a particularly precise construction at the pass when a creamy pink sauce is poured before "service please" I'd called. I sat at the Chef's table last Friday and was the only vegetarian option of 8 for the tasting menu. It was sublime and I highly recommend the experience of both menus. Their venison, their skate and certainly their satisfaction makes me want to return. The details of the meal I had have been captured elsewhere as I took copious notes while being entertained. I recommend you do what you can and enjoy James Goodyear and his staff and his kitchen asap. Huge thank you to Kim, as well, who guided me enough to not make me feel as though I was ever at risk of being lost or forgotten.

First time visiting and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the tasting menu, the food was not the best in my opinion, a lot of the dishes were very salty and raw. I loved the dessert, overall will rate them a 6/10.

You definitely won’t leave Adam’s in Birmingham hungry.
The 7-course taster menu was £115 and the a la carte, 3 course menu was priced at £85. We chose the a la carte menu because I preferred the dessert options and, knowing that if we each chose something different we would get to taste 6 different dishes…
BUT we got a lot more than 6 dishes. Before we even got our starters we received 3 surprises from the kitchen and a substantial bread dish. The delicious sourdough bread came with an in-house butter and whipped pork fat. Both were gorgeous but I did tell my husband that I think the pork fat would have been more tasty if I ate it first and was then asked to guess what it was…I’m getting a little squeamish in my old age!
Prior to dessert we got a pre-dessert dish and after dessert we got a crunchy biscuit post-dessert dish filled with a beer cream and a present to take home.
The food was excellent. The ambience was top class. Personally, I prefer Adam’s ambience to that of Purnell’s, and marginally more than I did Carter’s.
However, I thought the staff could be more ethnically diverse, no black or brown folk, but if you looked around the clientele were diverse so they should perhaps reflect on that.
Although the al la carte menu was almost twice the price of Purnell’s I considered it to still be great value for money because of all the extras. They did push the alcohol a little harder as I think that’s where the profits lie but we don’t really drink and are just there for the food so…we just had sparkling water.
Overall, a great experience. They could get 2 Michelin stars in the future because the attention to detail is massive, loads of ingredients and loads of tiny detail to the food.
WHAT MY HUSBAND THOUGHT:
The decor was lovely and the staff attentive and polite. The waitress we were served by was from Slovakia and the waiter was Italian. We were offered alcohol numerous times and although non-drinkers could see the impressive wine list and flights to accompany the tasting menu.
I thought I might get full on the gifts from the kitchen before the starters arrived, including the bread, but that wasn’t the case even though the portions were a reasonable size.
In all, I’d recommend Adam’s for any type of special occasion or even a lazy business lunch.

Probably the best restaurant in Birmingham. We were amazed by the creativity and the combination of flavour that we have never experienced before. Great service and the time between each courses were very well controlled. We loved all the extra details. If you have £200 to spare, please pay them a visit, you will not regret.

As a first time trip to Birmingham on business, alone, I wanted to treat myself to a nice lunch.. so as it happens, by pure luck I get a table for one at the very best restaurant in Bristol by far and one of the finest in UK and in the world..
Very modest but yet modern and chic with the most amazing stuff and most amazing food !!!
This is definitely a restaurant that puts British modern cousine on the map... for those of you that think English food is oat porridge for healty breakfast or a full on hearty full English breakfast and fish and chips or pie and mash for lunch or dinner , well you should visit this place!
I had the taster menu and must say that it was hit after hit after hit...
The attention for details .. from back of house to front of house is amazing...
Truly a place to eat and enjoy and savour...
Keep up the good work and hope to see a second Michelin star soon...

It was a fantastic experience sitting at the Chef's table. All dishes served were excellent and flavourful and I'd recommend coming here for a treat. If you plan to also book the Chef's table, do so well in advance as reservations go quickly (the table seats 12 people in total).
I was on crutches when I attended, but they made it as easy as possible for me to get around, and were kind enough to give me a stool to rest my leg, without me even asking for it.
This was my first experience dining at a Chef's table and it was great to see the chefs and the kitchen at work. It's brilliant how they stayed calm and organised with all the orders coming through. It's clear the head chef, Kieron, has built a great team around him and it was interesting to observe the guidance he was giving his younger chefs throughout the evening.
To add to the experience of the Chef's table, each chef presented their dish as it was served. It was clear some of them would rather their food do the talking as they were a bit shy. But they shouldn't be, as its obvious from their dishes, they're talented chefs.
All the dishes were fantastic, and looked like pieces of art. They were all seasoned well and I truly couldn't find a fault with any of them.
We chose to go for the wine pairing with the meal and each wine was perfectly paired with the dishes.
While it's a pricey meal, the quality of the food and the service offered made it all worthwhile if you enjoy fine dining experiences. I'll look forward to attending again as I'm aware their menu is seasonal and I'm sure it will wow me next time I come here.

A first for us was sitting at the Chef's Table & what an experience too see all the team working together & yes there were some hiccups but great too see them recover. Food was excellent but first five courses came at a pace so had to a break to recover. Staff were excellent from start to finish & you felt safe at all times. All in all a great night.
