When you say that you’re eating some really amazing food in the middle of a Department Store doesn’t really do this place justice. The food is fantastic and the staff were really something, polite, extremely well presented and so helpful. Make sure you order various dishes to really enjoy and soak up the real experience , it’s not a 1 dish per person gig lol. If you’re in the Bullring or surrounding area you must visit at least once- you won’t regret it

On the top floor of Selfridge's with a view over the Bullring, but doesn't feel like you are eating in a department store. Extensive selection of small plates that are great to share. Allergens are not shown on the menu but waiting staff were knowledgeable about gluten free options.

Not eating a meal, enjoying a fantastic gastronomic experience. Menu is varied and well balanced. Food was excellent, quality, quantity and presentation. Staff are very professional, polite and efficient. Joanna our waiter explained the full process of ordering and how and when the food would be served etc. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

I visited here a few weeks ago with friends having initially not been impressed with the service and food at the other Fumo in Birmingham. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I attended. I was seated to my table without fuss whilst I waited for my friends to arrive and I was introduced to Petr as our waiter. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made several recommendations for us throughout that were all welcomed. When he finished his shift we were then looked after by his colleague (whose name I forgot to get) but he was just as helpful, professional and friendly. I was impressed with the customer service throughout and the food was 10/10 and I even complimented the manager on how impressed I was, given my previous bad experience at the other Fumo. As a result of the great food and good service, I decided to return today with my mother and I was not left disappointed. It was a welcomed surprise that Petr was our waiter again and he was assisted by Delva who was a young, very energetic, friendly, vibrant and extremely professional young lady - a true credit to the younger generation. She was so refreshing to be around and her calming and friendly nature even meant when little mistakes were made, beyond her control, we all laughed about it and moved on. Again, Petr assisted with our menu and drink choices and even when I doubted his suggestions, he went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. And we truly were. The food was amazing as before and service was 10/10 and this is now one of my favourite places to go out and eat. Definitely worth going for good service, great food and a buzzing atmosphere.

This is the better of the 2 Fumo's in Birmingham in my opinion. Due mainly to the light and feeling of more space. Expect brilliant service and great food. Francesca behind the bar was so friendly and went above and beyond in my request for 1 large ice cube in a rusty nail. We will definately return.

We popped into Fumo’s to have a drink. We sat at the bar. We didn’t book, but we arrived just after 12 and it was busy, so I would suggest booking a table. Husband had a bottle of peroni and I had a cocktail - ‘coco bongo’ Definitely recommend this drink - very strong and so tasty.

Frequent this place for lunch. Staff are warm and often recognise us. Nice atmosphere and everyone always seems to be having a good time. Consistent service and food. The spaghettini and lobster linguine are my favourites. The only time I had an issue with my food they took it away and took it from the bill without me asking. Replacement offered but I declined.

I was taken by my daughter to Fumo at Selfridges this evening & what an amazing experience. The food was fabulous and the customer service skills from our waiter Petr & waitress Delva was beyond fantastic, they both were amazing & welcoming. Petr recommendations on wines & food were key, he truly knows how to make customers feel welcome. Delva, very young & professional both assets to Fumo & will visit again & recommend to all family & friends 😀

Fumo Selfridges was amazing 👏 must admit after the treatment I received at the Fumo in Waterloo St last year I was not going to use this restaurant again but as my son wanted to go for his birthday was the reason why I went. The food was great but they could do with warming the plates as the food got cold quick and nothing came out piping hot. With that being said food was good and our host was great he said he was new bless him lovely young lad really made our evening feel great. 10/10 for me happy to go back

Holy maloney!! What a great place! After moving to Birmingham from London I have been so disappointed by the restaurant scene here. But this place is world class . I'm surprised the chefs havnt been given Michelin star! The ambience is luxurious and chic, and the waiters are so professional. They were constantly available and knew everything about the food on the menu. What a fantastic experience! AND THE FOOD. This is gastronomy. Unique presentations and served in good time one after the other. We ordered around 6 to 7 items between two of us and everything tasted amazing! It's been so long since I've felt this way. This made my day.

The best meal we have had in a very long time! Me and family visited Fumo in selfridges on Thursday afternoon and I have no words to describe the whole experience. Outstanding food, service, cleanness, management, atmosphere I couldn’t find a fault. I was looking for a nice restaurant to have food and relax as next week I’m Having surgery and I wanted to sit down somewhere where I was able to feel normal , lately we’ve been to a lot of different restaurants & the staff looks a little bit stress and not knowing how to follow procedures with covi19; the staff here were all very well trained, they all looked very professional & very clean. I never felt any stress from anyone they were all happy and relax while working. They all kept good distance from customers. Giovanni (manager) looked after us the entire meal; we were looking for seafood and fish and he recommended us the dishes. The food he recommended was spectacular! Presentation spot on! Very fresh! The restaurant was busy and Giovanni and his team kept our table always happy and topped up with drinks. Made our day we will never forget. They kept an outstanding levels of cleaning during the whole meal. Something I haven’t seen anywhere else they brought the card machine to our table with a disinfectant wipe (the lovely receptionist wiped the machine in front of us) Thank you Giovanni and your team! It’s hard enough to run a restaurant in normal times but running any business during these difficult times it’s even harder and you all doing amazing! We will definitely recommended to our friends and family! We can’t wait to visit again soon!

The service is excellent! The waiters are amazing and always available if you need something. The food is excellent, although to note portion sizes are small as its 'Italian tapas' not great for if your hungry but brilliant as a light bite between lunch and dinner. They do also have a vegan menu if you ask. The restaurant itself is also so beautiful with marble tables and great deco.

Italian tapas restaurant at the top of Selfridges overlooking the mall. Food is good but nothing out of the ordinary. Service was alright, slightly inattentive, I need to mention that it was on a Monday afternoon so the staff were probably worn out from the weekend. Prices are high but the atmoshere was lovely. Would I go back? Probably yes.

It's lovely, but it's more of a bar catered towards spirits and cocktails, not a very good selection of beer and ales. They did 2 different IPAs which were pretty nice as well as Budweiser and Peroni. Meh. We sat by the bar which was very crowded and squished, not because there were lots of people, but because they have squeezed so many chairs by the bar. Take away maybe 4 chairs and if would have been alot more spacious for everyone around the bar.

Fumo is a lovely contemporary restaurant and bar situated on the top floor of selfridges. The menu is Italian tapas style with small portions however based on two people I’d recommend ordering 4/5 dishes in total to fill you up. My favourite was the crab pasta and the aubergine lasagne. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the food comes out at different times so it ruins the idea of dining together as my food arrived way before my friends food came

A great setting at the top of Selfridges, overlooking the open architecture of the bullring. The food is the perfect size for sampling a number of dishes (think Italian tapas). On a vegetarian note, there are plenty of options - my personal favourite is the mushroom and truffle ravioli! Be sure to arrange a reservation as it is typically busy most days.
