S. K.Lovely, authentic Italian restaurant near the Jewellery Quarter. I had a very tasty vegetarian pizza with a side dish of green salad. Nice outer facade with a traditional interior and lovely colourful murals. There is a secure NCP car park on Newhall Street about a minute's walk around the corner. Parking opposite the restaurant entrance is for permit holders only. First time visiting and we paid £10.35 on foot for a 2-3 hour stay! It is a little cheaper to pay via the ParkPass app! I would definitely visit again. I'm slow at eating so next time I'll take my time ordering as don't like being rushed.
B. “. M.It was my first experience of Italian cuisine. Ambiance was great. Service and hospitality I would give them 5. They had staff that actually spoke Italian which was superb.
The dishes I had was devine. Fine selection of wines and spirits. Genuine Italian food. Spirits such as Amaro Montenegro liqueur which is a product of Italy was available.
Visiting here was like visiting the country. I enjoyed the experience. Well done guys.

Ive eaten at lots of authentic Italian restaurants in different countries so in comparison this wasnt great. Also the waiters were not very attentive, walked away in the middle of us giving our order, forgetting to give us more cutlery and even serving wine in a dirty glass (gross).

T. C.I ordered the Bass on the specials board and the Neal came with two generously sized and nicely seasoned pieces. The desserts we ordered was the Tiramisu and Panna cotta. The Tiramisu was so creamy and deliciously smooth. Really well balanced and was one of the nicest I've had in a very long time. The Panna Cotta was also very pleasant but simply not my normal go to as a dessert

M. O.Great Italian food. The portions are quite big so make sure you visit when you are hungry. We didn't have a starter but had dessert and garlic bread to share with our main meal. The staff were attentive and friendly and also friendly. If you are unsure about your meal, please ask the serving staff. They were very happy to help with any questions you may have about the meals

Located near Saint's Paul's Square, with tall windows close to the pavement and boxes of tomatoes and annual flowers on the window sill, this restaurant is literally 5 minutes walk from Snow Hill train station.
The inside is very attractive with exposed bricks and vibrant nice atmosphere. We normally go there for lunch as in the evening it can get ridiculously busy.
The food I'd say it's consistently good but not exceptional.
Service is very pleasant and attentive, overall worth a visit.

The food was absolutely amazing and was top-rated on the "Father-In-Law would eat here again" meter, which is a massive feat in itself. He did not stop talking about the monk fish linguine the entire weekend.
I was too busy inhaling my food to take many photos, but the desserts were delicious - especially the crepes with maple syrup and banana.
If there was a downside, there are no many desserts to cater for the dairy intolerant. Lemon sorbet seems to be a standard offering and can get very stale after a few trips. Having said that - the lemon sorbet was amazing :D
Def worth a visit over places such as Ask or Frankie and Benny's. Why settle for imitations?
j. w.I went to a wedding reception as a guest in the upstairs part of the restaurant which had been hired out for the occasion. I had never been to this restaurant before but was pleasantly surprised with the lay out it was very clean and a warm welcoming feeling
It was well organised and the staff were really good and provided a great service and very focused. There were 80 of us and they did really well and no body was left waiting long between courses so we were impressed.
I don't know what the prices of their menu but since the wedding i have spoke to a few people now and they tell me they go there quite often and I defernatly will be going back there 😊👍

Met with friends at the Shakespeare pub, which is short walk from the restaurant. We were politely welcomed and shown to our table, the serving staff were attentive, they had soon taken our order from a varied menu and returned with our drinks.
The food followed quickly and our needs were met on every front. No doubt we will soon return for another get together.

A. M.Food came really quickly, piping hot (albeit I live around the corner), and as tasty as ever. Mostly limited to pasta / risotto on the menu right now because it travels well, I guess, but given the circumstances I think they're doing a great job. I highly recommended this place.
R. S.Food was great just enough on the portions the garlic bread is enough for a family of four and the waitress advised us so we didn't buy two. My daughter dropped her fork they replaced it in seconds very efficient staff ,not cheap but great quality and service.
T. A.Starter was so-so, but enjoyed the main pasta course. Haven't been for years, maybe a decade or more as we found that the food had deteriorated to boil in the bag quality and the service was oddly surly. I mean, this is a nice restaurant and always has been in terms of decor- a lovely old Birmingham factory building. The food was much improved on this visit, but the service was a mix of pleasant and helpfulness from the waitress (we had three bottles if Rioja, the second being 'corked'. The waitress changed this without the slightest issue). The waiters on the other hand still followed this perfunctory 'you ought to be pleased I'm serving you' sort of aura. I just find it odd, but have experienced this at many Italian restaurants throughout the world. This didn't do anything to detract from our enjoyment and is just an observation. Overall though, decent enough and the bill for 5 of us, including around £90 in wine was just over £200. That is very, very reasonable and a fair reflection of the quality/ value for money.

N. U. (.My favourite Italian in Brum, been here more than 20 times. The main and dessert course were exceptional, however the starter which was meant to be mushrooms breaded with garlic had no garlic whatsoever, and the accompanying mayo style sauce had no garlic in it either, . I raised it with the waiter he said their should be but I heard nothing more about it. Shame I consistently have this as a starter their and its usually fantastic, as too was historically the service from the waiter if any issues in the past were raised, not this time.

Not to say the food isnt great its just a tad over priced.... if you're looking to show a date a flashy and romantic evening it's a must-visit.
Theres a wide variety of choices for all diets. They will quickly and quietly accommodate to a vegan preference but the menu is not suited to a vegan lifestyle.
Happy to have visited but it's not for me.
I. E.Visited on a Saturday night 7.30pm Was pretty much a full house when we arrived.. luckily we had a booking. Shown to our table upstairs. Offered drinks a given menu's and left to peruse. Place was very noisy as it was full and there were a large party of revellers next to us which made it difficult to hear anyone on our table. Service was fine but noticable prolonged whilst they were busy and the waiting staff whilst not unpleasant weren't particularly friendly or attentive.. The food was another level of delicious.. and I whole heartedly recommend it. Our bill with two bottles of house wine (£18.00 per bottle) just averaged £39 per person. Overall a good experience would definitely return.

C. W.This place had always been busy when we were passing so we decided to try it out. All I can say is that the food was ok. The restaurant is quite lovely and the staff were brilliant but it's all about the food right?. Out of 4 of us only one person said their meal was good. We stuck to mains and desserts but still, out of 4 main courses only 1 was good. I'm not completely put off and would probably try it again if there weren't so much other choice in the local area.

The food arrived relatively quickly, however waitress seemed rude and annoyed at us - despite us not requesting any extras, or any additional requirements.
Food was sort of bland, not really worth it especially as it is quite pricey.

Food is excellent - there's a massive range of meat and veggie dishes to choose from, a great selection of drinks and some amazing sweets to finish off your meal. I highly recommend giving this place a go. Probably the most authentic Italian in Birmingham (well in my opinion). Staff are extremely friendly and professional and have great knowledge of the menu and ingredients.

This is over priced for the quantity. I left hungry! There is no denying that the quality of the food is good but the portions are miserly. Please look at my photo. I paid £12 for the fettuccine with crab. I did mention my dissatisfaction to the extremely pleasant waitress that the portion of my meal was on the VERY small size for the price. This obviously got back to the guy in charge as we got complimentary drinks (thank you very much) which went some way to rectifying the situation- an admission of sorts? I would encourage you to go to pasta di piazza as it does serve very good food...they just need to be a bit more generous with their portion sizes.....I'm still hungry though!!!!!

Got seated straight away & drinks order taken whilst we chose our meals. Both of us had 3 sublimbly delicious course & olives etc to share. Food was totally amazing. Service was spot on ( was served by a lovely italian waitress). Ambiance was lovely & it was spoltlessly clean. Couldn't fault ANYTHING about this restaurant at all. It was a 1st time visit for my friend but not for me. We will certainly return again & recommend to all.

A. F.What an Italian. All the serving staff were really really lovely, and helpful in all requests. I ordered a delightful shrimp and seafood pasta dish which was the bomb.
We had multiple bottles of wine until quite late, and I enjoyed how relaxed the serving staff were about that.
I would encourage people to come down and enjoy this delightful and fabulous Italian restaurant, which all its olive oil and carby delights. A pleasant mix of high ceilings and 80s style decor really provide an aesthetic dream for all inside this establishment.
Italian culture and Birmingham have always gone hand in hand, and this particular place is no exception. Come down and enjoy what it has to offer, you know you want to.
The house red is to die for, and the toilets are a dream. I was transported back to 1980s Sicily, and that's a place I want to be, believe me!

Very friendly welcome and quick to take order and serve food and drink. We had meatballs and lasagne - both were very tasty and decent sized portions. Bill was very reasonable given the quality of the food - 30 quid for the two of us including main courses and a bottle of Peroni and glass of house wine. Highly recommended

P. A.I have been to this delightful Italian restaurant in the very smart, very 'happening' part of Birmingham City Centre, St Paul's Square, several times and it never ceases to impress me! The whole place is so authentically Italian and such a pleasant way to spend the time eating delicious food. The building is old, with lovely window boxes outside and in the summer you really feel as if you could be in an Italian Piazza, especially with the lovely St Paul's church just a few meters away surrounded by the beautiful square with bars, clubs other restaurants and apartments. The food is always of a high standard and the service is first rate. Give it a go!.

S. I.All in all - slightly disappointing. Cool red brick building and the activity & noise level nicely mimicking an Italian restaurant. However the food lacked Italian finesse. Crespelle was good but chicken in Pollo a la crema was clearly overdone. What was even worse was that nobody asked me if I liked the food and the fact that I left half of the dish on the plate remained unnoticed. In all fairness, the place was very busy, but in an Italian restaurant I would have expected the kind of welcoming and friendly version of 'busy'. Reasonable pricing reflecting the quality.

M. M.I had arrived into Birmingham on the 25th Jan as I had an interview. My interview started at 1pm and it was 11:20am. I decided to try and find somewhere for lunch. After driving past Pasta Di Piazza whilst looking to park, I thought I would go back and take a closer look. The restaurant looked warm, welcoming and clean from the outside. On looking at the menu I found a variety of yummy dishes I would eat so I entered the restaurant. Unbeknown to me, the restaurant was still closed and wouldn't be open for lunch until 12pm. It must have been a mistake that the door was left open. We where greeted by a female waitress who looked very surprised to see us. She advised us that the restaurant wouldn't be open for a while, I proceeded to as her if she knew of anywhere close by that we would be able to grab something to eat? A gentleman then came from the back asking if we where ok. I explained that I was only in the city for an interview and was looking for somewhere close by to grab some lunch as I needed to be at the office by 1pm. He took no hesitation at all and grabbed a menu and sat us down in a beautiful window seat and took our drinks order. We where then served our bread, whilst we waited for our lunch. Our beautiful lunch was served just before 12pm, meaning I managed to enjoy lunch and get to my interview on time. Thank you so much for your kindness and opening up for us early. Your restaurant is beautiful, and your food was sensational. I got the job, so I hope to be able to come back and eat with you again.
