Reviews of Piccolino Birmingham

A nice Italian tucked a little way away from the city centre for food. The tables were a little tight for 4.
Service was great, my glass was never empty, until the bottle was empty. 🥳
I had a lasagne with a side of veg, it was lovely.
However my friend had the spinach tortellini which she said wasn’t great, and the portion size was tiny.
I would maybe come back for a treat day, as price was bit on the expensive side and there are definitely some Italian chains that offer a great quality too.

With so many choices in this square. This restaurant was super. The staff where friendly and efficient. Again pet friendly for our guests. Italian food served in true Italian style, tasty fresh, with lots of wine to enjoy. The selection of breads and pasta cooked to perfection. Who can resist Calamari bruschetta and crabmeat. This a great place to dine.

Excellent customer service, they found us a table even though we hadn't booked. Friendly staff throughout, from the point of entering, to the bar staff whilst we waited for our table to be setup and the waitress serving us was great as well. Brilliant atmosphere and the food was tasty... we ended up having 3 courses as we enjoyed it so much. Would recommend and we will likely return in the future.

This is by far the best restaurant we have had the pleasure to visit in the last couple of years! From the moment you walk in you are treated to quality service and the food, wow, some of the best seafood we have ever eaten and we have eaten plenty, will definitely be returning!

Have visited on several occasions and enjoyed the food and atmosphere every time. The booking process on the app has never given me any problems. My go-to Italian restaurant for any event

This is a lovely establishment tucked away in the back streets of Brindley place in Birmingham. The ambience was warm and the lighting was kept dim, perhaps a little too low for my liking but can appreciate the atmosphere it brings.
The food the delicious, and the service was great however... the baby changing rooms left a lot to be desired. Our little one, 11months, needed a change and actually fell asleep whilst we were dining with friends. We have changed him whilst asleep in the last and it's not been a problem. However, on this occasion when I went to the baby changing room/disabled toilets, the room was very cold and the baby changing table wouldn't lower to completely flat. I was not comfortable changing a baby in a cold atmosphere, against a colder changing table which wasn't even level.
So whilst our dining experience was lovely, our evening was left a little disappointing in the facilities Piccolino offered for families with young children.
Would definitely come back but not with our little one unfortunately... at least not until the above have been addressed.

Lovely dinner, food was delicious, particularly the lasagna. Very nice atmosphere and a wide variety of meals to choose from. Service on the other hand was not great. On multiple occasions, I had to ask multiple times for items to be ordered, not ideal if you are in a rush!

A superb Italian restaurant with exceptional quality cooking.

Not dined at this place yet but I am looking forward to, got thirsty after a long ride and stopped by the Zen garden, run out of water and this place was happy to help out!. The ice was a good touch' grazie.

Service by waiters and speed of delivery of food was excellent. Food ok for price.
Typically I would pay the prices as displayed at Piccolino and expect amazing food, unfortunately didn't hit the mark. Food was good but for the price which probably is on par with 4* restaurant, I think it meets it just satisfactorily.
For a point of reference, I am a connoisseur of Tiramisu, and charging £7.5 a piece I was expecting something spectacular, instead it was just ok/good.
Main things that let the whole thing down is price, quality of food for assurance is good but not worth the money. And I live in central London, so take that for what it's worth.
