I visited Ziryab Buffet Last weekend. First impressions was very good warm welcoming atmosphere. They take Cash & Card payment both. I am giving them 4 Star just because of their hospitality, Good Variety of Dishes, Good Starters & main Courses. Most of people’s like their food because it too mild. If you spicy then do tell the chef to put some green chillies for You. Overall Good Food, Family Environment & welcoming staff.

I came here for breakfast and loved the experience. It's worth the price of £10 with a good variety of South Asian and British breakfast dishes. The hosts/welcoming staff were so sweet and went out of their way to make us feel welcome in the space. The desi food was authentic and the chai was the cherry on top. Family friendly, and if you like South Asian food, come this way!

They have recently started breakfast buffet on the weekends for £10 per adult, which I found to be fairly reasonable. There is not a lot of variety like their dinner but everything is well made and the spice is perfect where it’s flavorful and not too hot. The halwa poori and the nihari was my favorite. I also tried lassi saag which I throughly enjoyed. I would recommend them to include kulchas with the nihari. The people were very friendly on my visit and we liked the ambiance since the hall was not fully packed. Will definitely visit again.

Visited this buffet in Birmingham tonight with my family. First impression very nice. They only take cash payment, so make sure you bring your cash with you, if not... don't worry, they have a free withdrawal cash machine on site. Just don't forget your card. Prices are £18 for adults and £12 for kids aged 4 to 12. Place was not very busy, which is great as less noise, you can enjoy your food. I have to say, food was fabulous. I have eaten from here before, but wasn't so great back then, but allot has changed since then. Hygiene is 4☆, as you can see from pictures very well maintained and clean. Unfortunately it closes at 11pm, because they were not so busy, they started closing at 10.30 which was not good as we had recently just started our main course. All in all, fantastic night out, family enjoyed there time which is more then you can ask for. Will definitely recommend to everyone who haven't been yet.

Good selection of food and most were kept warm. Some food areas were messy and I felt the flow of people wasn't managed well despite social distancing rules. Price is fair but tables were quite closely packed together and there were several young children left wild to run all around the place, which is probably more of a reflection of the parents. However, if you're looking for a relaxed dining experience, you won't find it here.

Typical Pakistani buffet with lots of starters and main dishes(mainly Indian and Pakistani cuisines ). The varieties were huge. The price of 20£ seems ok for the 150 varieties of dishes and unlimited soft drinks It was more like marriage feast rather than a hotel in the way things are arranged. Although it tasted good I had reduce a star for the below reasons 1. Too much oil in all dishes 2. The dessert like gulab jamun n kajur alwa were extreme sweet and ice creams has too much colours in it 3. Vegetarian options were very less And finally 4. The refilling were not quick enough and even if they refilled it was only for non-veg varieties

This is the second time I have been here. The food is amazing - so much variety and so much taste. Mouth-wateringly good, I would definitely recommend and visit again. Took my partner, Graham, as it was his birthday. Wasn’t sure how he’d feel about it. Suffice to say, he loved it and ate till he could eat no more. The mannerism, food and atmosphere is always at a high standard. You can't go wrong. The starter to dessert - everything was so delicious. Was recommended to go there by my Father in law who is a big foodie. At first was a bit hesitant travelling from Bradford to there. I have to say it was worth it all the way the selection of food is amazing. The quality of food was out of this world. The customer service level for a buffet was unbelievable never felt pressured into hurrying up. The price was excellent which included drinks that was a shock. I have to say Ziryab is a Executive Buffet. I will be returning in Sha Allah with the rest of the family very soon!!!!!

The Best buffet I have ever been to in UK. The best chops and live Chinese is the best part... 1000 times better than Royal nawab. Visited Ziryab with family from Southampton just to enjoy the perfect variety of food in very reasonable price. Definitely worth trying it. 100% recommended..

Yesterday, my family and I (around 40 people in total) arranged a surprise birthday party for my wife. I had booked a table online a month earlier and were happy that the table had indeed been booked and prepared in advance which is great to see. My Mum, sisters and friend arrived earlier to set up the table with balloons and decorations. However, when they got to Ziryab's - they were told than they would not be allowed in until at least 30 out of the 40 people had turned up. This, of course, was not helpful at all and very unrealistic. Because of this, my friend complained (rather vigorously) to the staff and in the end, they were allowed in - thank God - but Ziryab should not have this rule about waiting for most of the party to attend as it can ruin the element of surprise in some cases. Once the initial drama was dealt with, the table was indeed set up with balloons and decorations. They were also kind enough to hide my wife's fabulous birthday cake too - which my nieces had made. The service after this early incident was good. Once my wife arrived, she got the shock of her life seeing her whole family there - and the Ziryab staff did help to create this surprise by NOT mentioning the other guests when my wife, sons and I actually arrived. From this point, the food was good especially the chicken drumsticks, keema, noodles, salads and much more. The desserts were plentiful too with my favourites being: Chocolate Barfi, Patheesa, Rasmalai, Gulaab Jaamun with Ice Cream and the elegant fluffy mousses. Towards the end of the evening, the massive cake was brought out and my wife had her second surprise of the evening - it was a great evening, maasha Allah. I would ask Ziryab to reconsider one or two of their entrance and seating policies. I also think that the car park is unbelievably small considering the size of the restaurant. Apart from that issue at the beginning, we thank Ziryab for a great night and great food as we created some great memories x

I loved every aspect. We were welcomed really nicely and it took no more than 5 minutes to be seated. There was a wide variety of food and trust me when I say this you will not leave with an empty stomach. The employees were very sweet and helped out with any questions. Lovely food, they take care of their customers, even customers with allergies, they know exactly what foods contain what allergens to make sure customers are safe. The customer service is amazing, and in particularly one lovely lady, ‘the floor manager’ who makes sure we’re comfortable and looked after, everytime we come. Favourite restaurant in Birmingham. This place is your average get to go grub, meeting friends or family typical curries and Indian/Pakistani food. They only provide paper glasses for refilling drinks. Hygiene standards need to be improved and more staff required at the serving stations as too much waiting around otherwise. Get there early to get a parking space and avoid the total chaos after 7pm especially if you have young kids I wouldn't recommend this please.

Lovely fresh food approx 150 items, all taste of indian, Pakistanis, Chinese, Italian dishes. Varieties of items from started to main course, salads bar b que, curry's and side dishes. Fill as many times from starter, drink, main course till the desserts. Staff is also very helpful. We went without booking but also got accommodated by helpful staff.

Went here for a works party. It was food heaven, the buffet was so clean considering the volume of customers going in & out, the food was topped up and any shortages were addressed so quickly by the management who were so considerate and really helpful with special requests for those who are wheel chair users, they made us feel so comfortable. All the dishes were piping hot and really delicious, desserts were also yummy & the staff were so hands on replacing the trays constantly. The restaurant is also really generous in space so it didn’t feel cramped whatsoever. Perfect for parties I’d go again for sure.

We travelled from Leicester last Friday to eat here and weren't disappointed. Favourite starters were the Chapli and Sheekh kebab. For the mains, I enjoyed the fish handi and pulao. Big selection of dal, tasty chops, nice fresh dips gorgeous cucumber raita. I haven't been to a buffet that do gol gappa before so that was great. Staff were very accommodating and down to earth, food was being replenished regularly. One of the senior managers, could have even been the owner bent down to pick up a chip from the floor, they care about their business. Love the coriander, lime and crispy onions in front of the nihari/haleem stand. Nice touch. As for those criticising the ambience, what can you expect from a buffet restaurant and its clientele... but its all part of the experience. We loved it and will be back. Thank you very much to the team at Ziryab, keep doing what you're doing and keep smiling, you are greatly appreciated. However... please note the gulab jamun are way too small, even though that too made me laugh.

The spices and flavors were extremely impressive there was plenty of choice for those of us that are vegetarian as well. First time visiting here, parking is available and there's a steward to help you out. You pay at the front and are seated. There are lots of different food options but I found the starters to be very salty. The mains were ok and the desserts were also ok. You get unlimited soft drinks included in the price. Me with few friends traveled long way to check this place/their food and we found very good starters, 🥗 salad, sauces, Pakistani/Indian food (curry)+ some Chinese and obviously 🍨dessert 🧁 and drinks. Heaven for meat lovers...so many food counters that you need whole day and stomach size of Mark Weins ;).. Most of the BBQ is prepared infront of you, as fresh as you can get. Variety of food is huge from BBQ (seekh kababs, ribs, tikka boti etc) to gravies to different kind of rice, roti (naan). Some respite for vegetarians as there are dishes for them but I saw few people going to far end of the food counter. Huge seating capacity with 2 big halls, We didn't have to wait very long for us to be seated ( 5 to 7 minutes). Once seated you can eat at your own pace. I personally like buffets as with young family you don't need to worry about what to order! Tables were cleared quickly of used cutlery. Toilets were clean but with huge seating capacity should have more toilets to accomadate busy times (specially at weekend). Parking space is huge as well plus there is an overflow car park which is at a walking distance. All in all a good buffet restaurant for south asian food with good service, great ambiance and brilliant food.

This is my absolute favourite buffet restaurant in the West Midlands, hands down would recommend it. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I go for I am always delighted with the quality! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite as are the waiters. Can’t wait to return!!

Came on 23rd December with party of 12 at 6.30pm and given seating within 5 minutes. Lots of variety of Pakistani traditional dishes, fresh Chinese station, and abundance of salads and dips. Been to Ziryab Buffer few times in the past and have been amazing, however went yesterday with a friend and the main course was hit and miss, chicken jalfrezi was under cooked and the rice was cold sadly 😥. The starters and dessert was ace! So next time I go I'll have more starter instead 🙂 For Birmingham this is good as it gets 👌 Is it worth £18..? Nah..! I don't care what people say but food in London is generally better . Don't know why, but it is.

After my eldest son and niece were born we had our big family meal at Tipu Sultan and this time for my second son Zavian Yusuf, my dad wanted to try Ziryab. We tried to boom beforehand as there was 11 of us but were told they don’t take bookings, only to arrive and request for a nice corner table but apparently it was reserved to which I questioned them as they said they don’t take reservations, the reason I’m giving them 4 stars. We started queuing for our food and there was quite a long queue which was expected as the restaurant was quite big and full. The buffet selection was vast - from the starters to the mains - indian , Chinese Italian and desserts were good too. The food itself was 8/10 for taste and quality for a buffet place but too much food to try in one day. The soft drinks were also part of the price which is better than other buffet places and at £15 per adult it wasn’t too bad, although I thought £8 for a 4 year old was a bit steep. At the end of the night, it was an enjoyable family outing and very stuffing too.

Booked it for my daughters first birthday, everything was top notch, only 1 disappointment was the way they have there grilled lamb chops hidden out of sight and when you do finally see them and ask the guy to give you some, he acts like he is giving a part of his own body away. I live 100s of miles from this place, but happily drove down many times pre-Covid. Absolutely the greatest buffet ever. Tons of dishes including things like burgers and beans, tons of desserts (the tiramisu is the best ever) and free unlimited drink refills. What more can I say? If I could give it 100 stars I would. Parking is limited but there is a manned free car park literally 1-minute walk away. Prices were £15 a head when we first went, but I think they were £17 last time - still worth it in my opinion. Oh, and there's also a cash machine inside. Friendly staff, great food, clean and a great ambience. Highly, highly recommended and a must-visit.

I went on weekend the most busiest time, we had to wait nearly half an hr to be seated; was the two of us. The variety of the food is huge, very asian Pakistani, from Haleem, halwa purri to bog standard curries. Also a condiment bar, and a salad bar with unlimited drinks. I have to say the food does taste authentic and with huge turnover it's always fresh. There were multiple chefs there attending to own stations. There were some noodle offerings and a place for children, including burgers, fries, and nuggets.Massive array of desserts, and very asian which was impressive; but also individual desserts, ice cream as well some other western looking things. The food was slightly saltier than I would have (supposedly I eat salty) and curries weren't too hot, quite tolerable. They had a large number of staff always making sure the venue was clean and tables being cleared, it was always clean. They had one guy with a head set constant communication with rest of the place, he seemed to he doing a very good job. The whole time I was there, (nearly 2hrs,) it didn't get any less busy. It was heaving and far from fine dining experience. I don't think it's a classy place to eat or the décor is anything attractive, if anything I found it rather strange. However, if you know what you came for, you won't be disappointed at all. The venue is HUGE. Who is this place for, food lovers, people who are high, huge group of people with multiple palettes. People who have no mobility issues, you need to be mobile or have someone get you food or you will struggle as the venue is huge. Anyone who was released from incarceration,or has been experiencing institutional food may enjoy this place. This is definitely a place for larger group of males to go, they'd really get their monies worth. Who ISN'T this for, couples looking for romantic time, light eaters, anorexics, the curry hater, racist, edl, Donald Trump. Maybe if you have young children or babies; be warned you're waiting for a while and not sure about table bookings in advance. Anyone who ate last few hrs, (you really need your appetite to make it through the night.) Anyone with food allergies should avoid like plague and anyone with crowd anxiety. You won't be able to discuss business here should you go with that intention. The experience was great, would I go again, probably not. It was overwhelming, can't help but over eat and then swear never to eat again!!! Something unsavoury about witnessing high levels of gluttony (including my self),but experiencing once was nice. I have recommended it to people who would really enjoy this place. I'd probably stick to the smaller established buffet eatery I normally attend to avoid the problems one can get with huge numbers and less overwhelming. Also make sure you eat with someone same pace as you, to avoid the situation do I wait or "each man for himself". If you choose to go, I would say bon appetite, you won't be disappointed if all you want is food. You'll go in starving but leave feeling like you'll never eat again! 😊

A very spacious restaurant/venue with plenty of seating. Workers were very attentive with clearing away dishes and were doing a fantastic job despite it being very busy. There are around 150 dishes consisting of traditional Pakistani food, English and Chinese. The starters were amazing and the food was generally really nice and of good standard. We paid £20 each on a weekend, this includes unlimited drinks. The drinks selection were decent too, with a nice range to choose from. The dessert selection was also relatively good and had a nice variety. There is a prayer room too, a car park on site and they also take card payments.

Coming to the food spread and quality, the menu was heavily build on Indo Pak traditional dishes (e.g. Chicken Tikka, saag Lamb,Kadaai dishes,some traditional veg starter's and main dishes for vegan also available).Few Chinese dishes are also available which was not up to the mark. I found the main dishes as repetative in taste and lacks authenticity.Most of the non veg dishes tastes very similar. Even the traditional Haleem with roti tasted bland!! In desert section ,there are quite a no of Indian Pakistani sweets available. I tried Rasmalai and Sahi Tukda and disappointing again..The Jalebi felt stale and prepared long back!! Luckily we had booked a table as there were literally over 50 people waiting before us as we arrived. The buffet is good, a very wide selection of dishes (all on point).. amazing food. What let's this place down is the lack of space! It's too congested and you cant hear your own conversations as you're next literally a foot away from the other table. Great variety of starters and mains- I tried most of the food and some was tasty and others okay and the Chinese selection was poor. I have to mention however, some of the staff were very unprofessional. A couple of the male waiters were very good as they took plates immediately and were working. A couple of the female waitresses were linking arms, giggling and hardly doing anything- infact one of the waitresses kept walking up and down and did not clear any customers plates the whole time we were at the restaurant. I feel that staff need to be more professional.

All I can say is I wish I had 2 stomachs. Firstly, the parking there is easy, even at peak times there's always space and a steward to help you. The service is excellent and organised. You can pay card or cash. £20 for adults. There's always someone around to ask for anything you need and the servers are always clearing plates, so your table is never messy. There's another server going around the buffet always checking that the chafing dishes are full. The buffet itself is very rich and fresh with lots of variety. Truthfully, the food is super tasty and has that umami flavour that it makes you want to eat more and more. The chefs are authentic home cooks and that's reflected in how good the food is. Curries, rice, and lamb chops all A grade. On the oriental station is an authentic Asian cook, with the best noodles. The desserts range from traditional to modern and the drinks are self serve with the most refreshing mango drink you'll ever try. I really love going here and always have an awesome time whenever I go. Recommend 100%.

First time we tried this place and I must say it did exceed our expectations. Spoke to the lass in reception whom I mentioned that it was our first time here she explained how the payment is done first and where to head. We was greeted by a lovely lass called Shorty, mentioned to her it’s our first time here and if someone would take us to our seats and how does the process work here. Even though it was very busy she took the time to show us around ie where the bathrooms, plates, food are etc. She made us feel very welcomed and that alone makes you want to come back to this place so thank you. The waiters/waitresses were all lovely as they did come up to check on you. The food selection was more then enough for us. Overall we were really happy with the service, the food and will definitely be coming back again :)

Good quality and freshly cooked food. Overall Ziryab is probably the best halal Asian buffet in Birmingham, not that it is particularly difficult to be so. I have been 5 times, the first 4 occasions I enjoyed a good quality meal up until the desserts. The 4th occasion was disappointing as I witnessed a slip in the standards of the food quality. But one mediocre experience out of 5 isn't enough to define the restaurant as bad. The selection of desserts leaves a lot to be desired. It's missing the large variety and diversity of a truly executive buffet. However I would recommend the bread pudding to anyone with a distinctly sweet tooth. Parking can be an issue although they do have on site parking and an overflow car park which is a 3 minute walk away. Customer service on site is always above satisfactory.

We have been there a few times before but this time the food was not very good, some items were undercooked, the place was dirty especially the washrooms and also just because it was the 2 days of eid they had put their prices up from £15 per head to £20, which was not right. Overall their service was rubbish, very disappointed. Today 27th March 2022 we came to Ziryab and their service and food was much better. I hope they will keep improving. Thank you

Best Pakistani & Indian food buffet one can ever get in whole of Europe!! <3 Massive spread of lamb and chicken food. My favorites were: namkeen gosht, nalli nihari, bhindi masala, dal tadka, gajar ka halwa and lahori halwa. Here you will also get Chinese, other Indian starters (golgappe etc) and western food. Make sure you make a round before you fill yourself.

Amazing buffet at £20 (the latest price- visited 26th june 2021). Numerous items with proper pakistani and indian taste. Food is not very spicy so even if you like european cuisine, it is a must try.
