Came here last minute as we were just passing through town. Very cozy and welcoming. They got us in no problem with out booking which was great. Starters were 4/5. Calamari was really good. Bruschetta was very tasty but bread quite thick and very hard on all edges. Didn't seem seem fresh. Mains 3/5. Carbonara was presented well but quite bland and simply tasted of cream. Bacon didnt have much taste either. Quite disappointing. Linguine scaglio was good but needed seasoning. I'm thinking these dishes just wernt tasted/seasoned before being sent out? Dessert 5/5. Tiramisu was absolutely amazing. Well done. Service was brilliant and very efficient. As so many positives about this place i have rated 4 star opposed to 3 as I think they have the potential to do better.

A little hidden gem with really great food, we had the salmon penne, the fried mushrooms and bruschetta. Everything including the service was really great. We mentioned to the waiter that we can only eat halal meat, which they didn’t have but he really helped and took time to talk us through the menu to find other options!

Cane to pinocchio restaurant for the first time with my family, the whole experience was lovely, our waiter was very friendly, and efficient. Food was amazing we had butterfly prawns, parma ham and melon, and bread selection. For starters. Then steak, carbonara and a linguine. Very tasty. Everyone throughly enjoyed their meals x definitely recommend, and can't wait for our next visit 😊

Amazing!!! I'm usually afraid of trying new things, but this restaurant is amazing. The food was delicious and the staff who works there are very kind and polite. They are always around if you need them. Pizza was perfect and my husband had chicken with vegetables and everything was fresh and tasty. If we go back in Bournemouth again, definitely this will be our lunch place. If i can give 10 stars i would!

We had the joy of dining at Pinocchios in Bournemouth following problems at our original restaurant, but what a good time we had. This family run Italian establishment welcomed us with open arms and friendly manner. We tried calamari rings for starters; they tasted lovely, both fresh and tender. For mains we ate spicy pepperoni pizza and seafood liguine; very nice. Finally for dessert we had profiteroles and amaretto cheesecake to nicely round of the meal. I would recommend 👌.

Went for a meal last night for my dad's birthday, the staff were superb and so attentitive, the atmosphere was amazing it was so busy for Wednesday evening and the food was stunning!! You could feel like you're sat in Italy inside it's so charming. The staff put a special birthday song on and everyone sang along it was great fun, highly recommend and we will definitely be going again!!😄

This place is special. After a punishing long walk through the town, in ad hoc fashion, looking for somewhere to eat that satisfied both my wife's and my criteria, we 'stumbled' on this little wonder. Firstly, the quality of the genuinely crafted Italian food served is above the Prezzo/ Zizzi average. The ambience has been set just right; the music is apt and unobtrusive. But , the coup de grace is the nature of the table service. A really lovely attentive guy comes along and is just perfect in his efforts in ensuring that your dining experience is spot on or you. Hey, don't take my word for it, go along and find out for yourself!

Lovely meal and atmosphere, would definitely visit again. Only reason we've not given 5 stars was because of the waiters, 1 was absolutely lovely (possibly an owner), helped explain what some of the items were on the menu, but the younger two, weren't sure what the items on the specials board were, and abit too keen to take our plates away when food was still on it (breadsticks and chips). But don't let this deter you as we would definitely go again and we would recommend!

What a pleasant surprise! We were looking to eat italian that night and we found this little gem close to our hotel. It was very busy when we arrived but they welcomed us and found us a table in seconds. We had mussels and seafood pasta and they were fresh and cooked to perfection. Many tempting deserts were available (tiramisu, amaretto cheesecake, profiteroles etc) but we didn't had any. The price was decent (basically you pay like 40% less then Cote Brasserie) for the quality, presentation and size of the dishes. We will definitely go back... at least just to try the desserts.

Finally had the chance to be at Pinocchio for the first time with friends! As we are italians, once we were in, we felt at home straight away. The atmosphere is tipically italian and cozy and is exactly like we would feel in Italy. We spent 3 hours chatting having italian wine and italian draft beer, plus a good selection of after dinner drink like amaro Averna, Grappa and Limoncello. The service was really attentive, and i would like to thanks Daniele from Sicily for the great service,kind and care. We had 3 pizzas, which they tasted nice, but pizzas are not definitely their best selection. As we Italians we have a different standard of how pizza should be made like. I think that if pizzas would be made properly, Pinocchio wouldn't have any competitors. I'd like to thanks the owner who seemed to be a really nice person, i give 5 stars because we had such a great time and we were able for 3 hours to be back home.

Dined at Pinocchio's traditional Italian Restaurant with a dozen friends for a couple of friend's Birthday celebration. It was accommodating, with nice food and good service. Whilst I had a seafood pizza which was delicious, friends enjoyed a mix of main courses and apparently the lasagna is divine and plentiful. The Restaurant even presented the Birthday girls with a serving of Tiramasu with a candle to celebrate their Birthdays.

The staff really make you feel looked after, tonight was a busy night but we weren't in any way rushed or forgotten about. We were advised to book ahead of our arrival for Pinocchios and we are very glad we did. It was a Saturday night and booked our table for 7pm and there was a steady stream of people queuing to come in the whole time we were there! The food was lovely and filling, the staff were friendly and it was clear that it was a very popular place to eat. The decor is a bit dated but gives a sort of homely feel and ambiance. The only gripe we had was that the tiramisu was not as ‘fresh’ as we were led to believe and we told the waiter that it was not edible as it was. When the bill came we discovered that all our main courses were missed off the receipt (which we felt we had to point out) but when it was corrected, we were told that the tiramisu was deducted, which was a nice thing not to have to discuss. We would go back the next time we are in Bournemouth.

My partner and I came here for dinner on Friday night at the end of lockdown 2.0 and it was the best night we've had all year. We eat out a lot and are secretly very hard to please but we were wowed by the food, hospitality, atmosphere and kindness of the staff. The wine and food was absolutely delicious and at a great price point. The family-run restaurant made us feel at home, we didn't want to leave! Pinocchio's is one of those rare gems you can hope to stumble upon, its a rarity in the franchised world we live in to find an authentic Italian restaurant. But Pinocchio's aren't trying to be Italian, they just are. From the starter I already knew this dining experience was going to be something special, with the antipasto with the cured meat set out with accompanying pickles I had never thought to try but everything worked together in a flavourful explosion. The misses got the calamari which was crisp and fluffy. For my main course I went for prawn and chicken tagliatelle, which is my favourite of the pastas, this did not disappoint with the tender chicken and juicy prawns all accompaced in a creamy pesto sauce. Finally we shared a charemel and honeycomb cheesecake was the perfect end to a wonderful evening! Would recomend to anyone in the area

Apparently still family run, it has that lived-in rustic feel while maintained very well and clean and tidy. The ingredients are very fresh and the flavours are quite natural. Having been recommended a few years ago by our Hotel we have never missed going to Pinnochios when we are in the area, we went again this week and this restaurant never disappoints, proper Italian food , fantastic family run restaurant, the staff enjoy what they do and although we don’t get there that often, it is obvious when you do that all the customers are regulars, for a restaurant to be fully booked nearly every night tells you something, if you’re in Bournemouth give it a try but remember to book, you won’t be disappointed.

Our first time of eating in Bournemouth led us to this nice little restaurant. Everywhere else in town seemed packed but this place was cool and reasonably quiet, at first anyhow. Very enjoyable meal of volcano spicy pizza for myself and escalope milanese for wife. Washed down with reasonably priced house wine. The food was fine and tasted as if it was home made. However, they did make a fault in the lasagna as I can only have vegetarian food only. They didn't specify that there was beef in every lasagna and that was disappointing as I had to give it back. The food was nice so was the atmosphere but the menu should've been more clear on what is in the food. A recommendation is that they should add a key for kosher, halal, vegetarian and food containing nut, fish, egg and meat.

Yet another fine dinning Valentine's dinner at Pinocchio Bournemouth. To be honest it's my favourite place to eat. We travel from Fareham. That's a 80 mile return trip. But it's worth it. With friendly staff, fun and relaxed atmosphere with a great Italian menu. Makes it the perfect place to eat. I think you will find the prices good too.

One of the best restaurants in Bournemouth - Be sure to book a table as it can get busy! Don't worry about the quaint Pinocchio-theme, the menu has a lot of choice, the specials are always a strong pick, and the staff are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. I was in Poole to catch the ferry and went to Pinocchio to celebrate my birthday. The food and wine were excellent and the service even better. Our waitress Mariana was delightful. My partner decided she would test the chef's ability by ordering Scaloppine Milanese and that, and my Calves Liver, were cooked to perfection. She then decided that she would test him even further, by asking if she could have Zabaglione, which wasn't on the menu. He made it for her and she said it was even better than she could make herself, which is praise of the highest order. All in all a wonderful evening. My only complaint about Pinocchio is that it's 200 miles from where I live.
