The crust and the burn taste on the edges of the pizza is to die for. I wanted to change so I didn’t order a regular margarita and maybe that’s why I didn’t really loved the pizza. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t my taste, and needed a bit of salt.Their homemade lemonade is something to appreciate and adore. Will definitely come again to try more. The staff were so friendly too.

Franco Manca is a pretty stock-standard Italian eating experience. The pizzas are generously sized and cooked very hot and fresh. The tiramisu was positively drowned in quite bitter cocoa powder, but was otherwise quite pleasant. Cocktails didn't go easy on the booze and were out in a flash. Overall, this is a great cheap date night out and doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. I'm sure there's better Neapolitan pizza places in Brighton but you'll almost certainly get a table and it's very fairly priced.

Best sourdough Pizza 🍕 in Brighton🏆🏆🏆🏆!!!! You can go and taste VIP pizza if you want but this right here is the winner🥇!!! Very very fast service to get in and out and pizza looks good, Taste absolutely delicious and the flavour is divine. I know is a franchise but this one particularly is giving you a piece of Napoli !!!! Well done 👏👏👏 guys!!! Keep it up and all the best. Ps: The team is friendly even if is very busy with us they made us feel welcomed 🍕 We had number 7 and 8.

The pizza is full of flavour, thin delicious dough, and a nice crispy crust. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and you can smell all the fresh ingredients as soon as you walk in. However the garlic bread didn't meet my expectations at all and I wouldn't recommend it, it didn't have enough garlic to even qualify as garlic bread.

A friend recommended this place. We went for a quick lunch and was in a rush. We sat outside as it was a sunny day. The pizza was delicious. Very authentic. We had the spicy pepperoni pizza £ 9.80. I would definitely go back and the server knew we were in a rush and was attentive to our needs.

Pizzas were tasty and overall experience was pretty good. What lets the place down is the manager who seems to be flapping around the whole time doing not very much at all whilst his staff are continuously correcting his mistakes. On top of that, he charged the optional(!) tip of nearly £10 to my card without asking me. Will definitely not be going back.

Friendly staff, fresh pizza, however the toppings on the menu weren't as tasty as expected. Sadly they look better in the description than in reality. We only saw the specials board after we had received our orders, which was a shame as we would have preferred those. Wait staff should point those out before taking orders. Overall it was a nice atmosphere and service was swift so we've given them 3 stars.

I 100% prefer sourdough pizza over the typical base. The pizza itself was lovely and I throughly enjoyed it. I didn't come away feeling bloated/sick like I usually would. The service was also great. The only parts lacking was the glasses on the table were quite dirty so had to ask for new ones and the garlic bread was not great and tasted a bit bland.

The best pizza restaurant in Brighton. Really nice and friendly staff. The food is fantastic. Very authentic. The only disappointing thing I found was the portion sizes of some of the meals isn't really on par with the pricing. But apart from that it's a fantastic place. The location is great. Really close to the centre and easy to get to. Whenever I get pizza. It's always from here. Parking is not great but the centre of Brighton is bad for that anyway. If you go later in the evening the parking is ok.

The pizzas are really good and tasty. Pizza base is really thin what means that you can get all the pizza flavour in your mouth. The price is excellent and match with the quality so no problem related with that. Now with COVID-19 all staff is wearing a mask so you can feel safe in the restaurant.

Came here yesterday for lunch, a big seating area and was served quickly. Big menu with lots of options to choose from, nice specials board. Really tasty pizza, Aperol spritz a bit disappointing due to the small glass. Was told I couldn’t use my blue light discount, only available mon - wed.

We stumbled across Franco Manca on the way back to the train station after a day out in Brighton, the margarita pizza was absolutely delicious, the staff were lovely too, very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again on our next outing.

I had been planning on coming here for a while. Definitely worth a visit as the Pizzas were great. The greek based pizza with halloumi was particularly interesting and I would recommend the option number 7 with caramelised onions. They were quite busy with both in person customers and deliveries so sometimes the service wasn't as good as other places.

Stonking Pizzas for a chain outlet. Puts others (Pizza express, The Hut, Dominos) in the shade. It’s a smaller less variety menu done to a very high standard. Nicely maintained industrial metal and wood decor. Plenty of seating over two levels. Great for larger parties. The staff were lovely as we were clearly a bunch of drunks in need of sustenance between public houses. Toilets were clean and well kept. Accepts all forms of payment. Highly recommended.

Really good pizza. The dough is incredible, my only real flaw of this place is that the soft drinks menu is limited. The rest of the menu being small I completely understand and support the idea of, as it was evident that all ingredients are very selectively sourced, and the food was all made to a very high standard. I got the special which had a spiced butternut squash base with porcini mushrooms and chestnuts smothered in cheese, it was delicious. Highly recommend! Plus it's just £5 to feed a hungry child with juice, pizza and ice cream. Can't go wrong!

this is a cool looking place, but unfortunately we sat right in front of the open kitchen and twice I saw people in street clothes enter the kitchen, the chefs greet them and then continue to cook pizza, it bothered me a little, because in covid conditions I would like stricter hygiene practices

Delicious pizza served here; something everyone needs in life. The setting is lovely and the service was very good. I was surprised at how cheap everything came too as well, the pizza here is very reasonably priced, cooked is a tiled pizza oven for a perfect cook, and we even enjoyed a fine wine for an all around perfect meal. I also really enjoyed the chilli oil which really packs a punch, something lacking at many other places. If I had one criticism, it would be that our pizza came with chilli peppers despite being described as green peppers on the menu. No biggie, but green peppers would have made our dish extra delicious. Semantics!

Food is okay, but with the constant flow of online orders and delivery drivers to collect them I would not describe eating in as a relaxing experience. The hectic atmosphere seemed to be passed on to the staff who often went missing and made errors taking the orders.

A very busy pizzeria, for good reason. Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. The sour dough wood fired pizzas are the best, for under a tenner you cannot go wrong. Highly recommend, expect to wait for a table around 10-15 mins.

Delicious sourdough pizzas, own label drinks and an enthusiastic staff. Love it. Had a slight problem this visit as the starter hadn't arrived and was told it would arrive with the main course. The waitress recovered the situation very well though, so all good. As they say everyone makes mistakes, it's how you come back from them that defines service and they did that very well.

Quick service pretty good food catering for a range of diets (although I question why they bother offering gluten free pizza but then advising against it if you are coeliac - come on surely you can do better) Also really noisy acoustics where we were (next to kitchen and glasses being emptied from dish washer and why do you need to bash the expresso coffee holder against a metal sink - why not something say wooden?). Also (I know it is the law but..) the menus with calories on really stressed out a member of our party who has previously had an eating disorder - so please ask whether a non calorie version is wanted. Love Franca Manca! ❤️ Turned up to a busy restaurant without a booking, staff said no worries, we'll sort a table for you, and they did, empty unused table at the back, they brought it out, dusted it down and set it in no time! It was my sons birthday and this restaurant is his favorite pizza, having had his last birthday in lockdown he was delighted to know he could have his favourite pizza on his birthday. We ordered quite a few pizzas to take away and they were so helpful and friendly. They made him feel so special by writing happy birthday on his pizza box and we got his pizza on the house. They are so wonderful there and can't wait until we can eat there in the restaurant. Also the pizza is to die for a d always delicious, would highly recommend. They also kindly brought the pizzas out to the car for me as I had just sprained my ankle. Excellent customer service. Would give more stars if I could.

Amazing pizza! Such a crisp base and fantastic sauce, really proving that pizza doesn't need cheese to taste incredible. Friendly staff and extremely affordable prices - £5 for a massive vegan pizza is great value! Only issue is that you should make it clearer what is vegan/vegetarian on your menu just for ease of access. If I lived in Brighton I'd absolutely come again.

I visited two locations, one in Covent Garden, one in Brighton. The latter is my new favourite : great service, really friendly staff, clean environment and authentic pizza, cheap and cheerful. I will be back July 2020: I said I would be back and I did: the Staff was just as friendly as the first visit and the food was as great as I remembered. Again my pizza was amazing, I have had extra toppings and again, organic lemonade, coffee and sparkling water x2 yet the bill come to less than 20£ ahead! Had really nice time here last Saturday. It was very busy but the service was quick and friendly. Ordered a vegan pizza and it was delicious. As I used to to work in hospitality myself I always pay attention how staff deals with pressure. There was this floor manager called Ivan? who made me smile. I'm not a pizza fan BUT Franco Manco is just different from other pizzas. It's simple. It's delicious. They use minimal good quality ingredients (the Italian way) and all of them compliment each other beautifully. The sourdough works so well against the toppings too! To top it off, it's very affordable. The staff were extremely friendly and fun too :) Highly recommended!

My go-to place for simplistic but tasty pizzas at an excellent price. I have been to many FMs in UK but this is my favourite one. No branded drinks in restaurant but all options are organic and/or homemade. Always great options on the specials menu too. Meal for two with a glass of wine and a side was around £13 each. Bargain!

When we were several decades younger and lived in Brixton we would often visit their first branch, a hole in the wall joint in the covered market off Electric Avenue, tucked in amongst the wig sellers, fabric stores and fishmongers. The food now is nearly as good as it was then, no mean feat for a much bigger operation, and the service is brusque but very friendly, sometimes charming, and the food served quickly. Doesn't take reservations, so great for spontaneous dining. The pizza is always excellent and kept to a simple range of tasty and authentic options. The wine is a little overpriced, but that is a small niggle for an otherwise terrific place.

Our waiter was very nice but not another person there, likely italian, that reacted unexpectedly. In summary I can recommend.

So in Brighton, my Pizza line up is VIP, then I'm split between Franca Manca and Fatto Mano. Things I like about Franca are the pizza options. I don't however like the sides. For one, if you are there, you are going to get a whole pizza to yourself. Why as a side would I load up on more carbs such as heaping portions of garlic bread, pizza bread or garlic bread with mozzarella. To be fair, there are sides of olives and a cheesy side, also 2 or 3 meet sides. Thing is you could serve other less cumbersome antipasto like calamari, baked garlic mushrooms, selection of cured meats and cheeses with crackers (not more bread)... Italian cuisine is so varied and very healthy. Anyway this is a small grip, but other than this you get quality pizza. Another minor gripe is the hosting area. When it's busy, sometimes you wait awkwardly long as people are coming out. There needs to be a more permanent host to get people seated or out of the way faster. Lovely place though and I often ignored these minor criticisms because after being seated, the service and experience is above average.

Let's be honest here, Brighton and Hove is at bursting point when it comes to Pizza and Italian restaurants, and the quality can range from very poor to absolutely superb! Franco Manca is definitely on the superb end. I wasn't really sure what to expect, I'd heard good things from friends so decided to give it a go. I wasn't sure if it was going to contend with my beloved VIP Pizza, but my gosh it does - but in a different way. We opted for the Burrata to start - It's essentially a mozzarella tied up at the top, and when you cut it, lots of gooey cheese oozes out. It is DIVINE! Franco Manca has a choice of only 6 or 7 pizzas, and a couple of daily specials. To me the limited choice says that the pizzas they do cook should be done very well, which they are! Scott had the Chorizo Pizza and I had the Meat special of the day (annoyingly I can't quite remember what was on it, mozzarella, buffallo and salami I think?) - we shared them between us, and hardly a word was spoken. The cheese! Oh the cheese! The tastiness of the meat toppings. The delightfully light base! The base is probably the best I have had in Brighton so far. It's so so light! You don't get that heavy post-pizza carb overload tiredness after eating. I had a drink of organic lemonade that came served in a lovely bottle. It was lovely and tart with a distinct ginger taste to it. Very refreshing on a hot summers day.
