Amazing! That's all there is to say. This is a high class restaurant - reflected in price and quality. They didn't have explicit vegan options, but I called ahead and the chefs were kind enough to put together some creative courses, all of which were delicious. The staff were very friendly, and accomodating to everyone. The food was traditional Italian with a fancy modern twist. Really great place to go for a date or to take your parents.

One of the best (if not THE BEST) food experience in Bristol! Every single part of the restaurant is 5/5 and can't even think what could be done better! High class service with super friendly stuff which can explain any position in the menu. The portions are perfect so you can always try all sections from the menu. I will be definitely coming back here!

Our meal was outstanding. The menu changes very frequently as far as I can see, the date is on the menu. When we were almost finished the main course the server gave us delicious bread to lap up the last of the sauce. The staff were very enthusiastic and attentive. Chef altered the menu to suit my sister who has a gluten intolerance. My only disappointment was the glass that my espresso martini was served in wasn't a cocktail glass. Thank you Pasta Loco staff.

This restaurant came highly recommended by friends. It is so popular that booking a table is usually weeks/months in advance. On this basis we booked the lunchtime slot. We weren’t disappointed. The staff are courteous and quick in providing drinks and food or any minor requests we had during our meal. I ordered the Spaghetti salsiccia carbonara with pork belly, mushrooms & pancetta wrapped egg and due to my dislike of soft eggs requested this to be removed. To my surprise I was provided with an additional piece of pork belly, which was a lovely touch. Now to book the evening meal.

It is a small, cosy restaurant with a heated outside area so is usually booked well in advance - though they advertise lastinite vacancies on their socials. If you have the chance..go. I had very high expectations for this restaurant due to all the praises from my colleagues. In the end, I was not disappointed and there were nothing that I could complaint. The food was excellent. We went there during the lunch, and the options were limited. But that is a good thing if the quality of food is so high. Also, it is very good value for money. We visited on Saturday 6th of March for lunch. Food was amazing, the service was very good, but I personally like when the staff is engaging a bit more with the customers, than they were with us, but I know other people may find it annoying, so it maybe hard for the staff to hit the sweet spot to please everyone. The portions are decent, we went for primi and secondi as well as two arancini for a starter, more out of curiosity than hunger - a starter and one of the two courses would be enough. The food was delicious, and beautifully presented. Didn't take any pictures, cause it was so mouthwatering we wanted to start earting immediately. Beautiful food, nice stuff, the space is a bit tight, but that's fine. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Food (AMAZING, i can't stop thinking about the Arancini, or the Pici, or the Panna Cotta...) Staff (FANTASTIC, very welcoming, friendly, helpful) Decor (GORGEOUS, rustic and simple) and experience (WENT HOME FULL AND HAPPY, what more could you need?!) were all faultless. Our only issue was right at the end when i had a slight allergic reaction (which we had forgotten to disclose so entirely our fault) but staff were not only caring but actually kind enough to follow up on with us the next morning. Of all the times I've had this happen in a restaurant, this is the one and only time that someone has followed up, which has cemented them as another Bristol institution worth every bit of the hype, and then some. Advice to anyone dining here; Don't eat for 24 hours beforehand so you can order ALL THE THINGS!

I was here last night for my birthday and it was amazing! I've lived in Bristol for 3 years and it is by far the best meal I've had, 10 times over! Staff are immensely helpful and friendly, know everything about the menu and take time to come over and explain/answer any questions you have about their food. Its not a huge place which is nice as it feels lovely and intimate, I would get a booking in asap due to their limited amount of tables. Really clean, exquisite presentation and overall 10 out of 10!

It’s simple food made excellent. There’s nothing fancy when you see the menu but they’re just cooked very well. Linguine and spaghetti were excellent, the sauce was on point and the pork is just extraordinary.

Toilets are very strange, require you to lean over the toilet bowl and wash your hands in the top of the cistern. This did dampen the fine dining experience which otherwise would have been very pleasant.

Great flavours and amazing plates of food. Don't expect to eat a normal plate of pasta each dish is a perfectly composed meal which marries pasta and a main. I'm Italian and don't consider the plates traditional but they are still very very good!

Really top service but slightly too salty food. Staff were super sharp on offering a simple child friendly dish to our 10 year old at the very start so he was looked after while we chose our meals. This is actually really important for parents and takes the pressure off trying to explain that the kidos needs to eat asap as they take 10 hours to finish!! The starters were tasty and interesting, however (mains) my gnocchi was super salty and the fishy dishy pasta slight undercooked. But we'll definitely return for the many more offerings and super friendly and efficient service. Loved it!

We visited Pasta Loco for my birthday meal yesterday after seeing some amazing reviews and hearing great things. I don't usually like to leave negative reviews and The starters and one of the mains were absolutely delicious. One of the mains - The tortellini was sadly quite tasteless and bland. Which was strange as the other main was soo good! After the mains we mentioned we'd want dessert, but the waitress basically just left us and forgot about us. The waiting staff, despite it was quiet and towards the end of the night were just chatting amongst themselves- we kinda felt forgotten about. Which was sad when you're paying such premium prices, you expect a premium service. I do believe that the restaurant let themselves down last night, which was a shame on my birthday!

We went to pasta loco recently after hearing such good reviews. It had such a warm atmosphere even on a Tuesday evening. The waitress was really helpful and helped us pick out a nice wine allowing us to taste a couple before selecting the one we wanted. The menu is quite small but you can have faith that everything is going to be really tasty. When the main came it wasn’t quite what I expected given the description as I wanted something either a bit more pasta but this was obviously just an error with my interpretation of the menu. I wasn’t going to say anything but my partner mentioned something to the waiter and he got something else. Can’t thank them enough for that!! I felt so bad but they were so kind and accommodating the replacement meal was delicious! Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone :)

Great fresh pasta with incredible flavour combinations. The restaurant itself is quite small (and seems to be understandably busy!) but this created a lovely atmosphere and buzz when we went on a Saturday evening. Probably the best pasta dish I've eaten in the UK, freshly made pasta each day with local seasonal ingredients that changes regularly. All pasta is made with semolina instead of egg to accommodate for as many dietary requirements as possible. 100% worth a visit. Book in advance.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant after reading all the amazing reviews and after struggling to book a table. Truth is that I was a bit underwhelmed. The menu was completely different to the online menu, which probably indicates that the chefs try to give you the freshest ingredients and keep the menu interesting, but what was on the menu on the day wasn't that exciting and I felt that I just had to pick a dish that I won't hate. In other words, I think they could do with some standard dishes to please the less sophisticated customers. Another thing that my partner didn't like was that his ravioli dish contained roughly 5 raviolis, which is a tiny amount. He also said that the taste of those raviolis weren't mind blowing, so it wasn't worth it even from a flavour point of view. We both liked our starters. Both my main course and the bread we ordered contained a bit too much olive oil. I was hoping for something special, like the black ink pasta with squid that Al Bacio serves, but that's not what I got. Maybe I booked them on a bad day or maybe I'm not the demographic for this restaurant. Great atmosphere and great staff.

After reading numerous great reviews of this place I had to try it myself. Had a table of 10 inc. a fussy 6 year old who they catered for with a simple pasta dish. It's small in size and the dishes aren't the largest either but nonetheless I left feeling full. Food itself was very nice although I don't think my pallette is sophisticated enough to appreciate the full range of flavours. Would recommend.

We came to Pasta Loco tonight for our first wedding anniversary. They kindly managed to squeeze us in. And all I can say is wow! The cocktails were strong, and the food was outstanding. Not only were the dishes excellent (incredible pasta, tender and caramelised pancetta), the bread was delicious (unlike most breads in the UK, it was not too sense and it actually tastes like bread), the dessert was excellent (chocolate delice and salted caramel, extremely good), and on top of all this the waiting staff was very pleasant, not fake one bit and just really friendly. The place itself is very small which explains why it's so hard to get a table there. The music was also very well in sync with the ambience. A truly great experience.

I went there for Valentine's day so can't and don't judge the seasonal menu. A general feeling is that the food tasted nicer than it looked. The menu costed £40 per person, 3 courses, 1 welcome drink and a cleanser (drink to reset the flavours in between courses). The starter with Oyster was OK, nothing exciting. The other starter we took was a beef carpaccio and it was a big let down as it was missing flavours and seasoning. The main courses where much better than the starters, we had lobster pasta and duck. Lobster pasta where OK, quantity was good. The duck was far too salty making the meal not so pleasant. Dessert was the highlight it was really good. I read the reviews and expected a lot given all the positivity online but was really disappointed. Drinks wise, we had a rose martini it was far too strong so after an attempt at making it sweeter, the waitress kindly asked if I wanted to swap it which I did and enjoyed far more my new cocktail with champagne. My partner had a sour sloe gin, was good at first but flavourq was not even therefore he couldn't finish the end which was too sour. Nibbles were good and finally the service was good when we arrived but it took 20 mins at the end to clear our plates whilst our neighbours who were there after us finished slightly before us. Lastly, we were not told at the time of the booking that it would be a menu special valentines day which would have been a good thing to notified as we would not have booked if we had known it was the case. If it's so highly rated, it must be good so we will come back. My advise is, if you go for special occasions, ask what's on the menu so you are no disappointed.

Having arranged a visit to Bristol a month or so in advance we tried to book this restaurant early, having no luck on line I rang them- they were in the middle of service and promised to call back the next day. They did, explaining that the evening we wanted they had an event a 8pm so if we could eat early they could accommodate us, So we arrived as they opened at 6pm, and were shown straight to our table and given what turned out to be a personalised menu- using the information that we had given when we booked, (ie we had travelled from London,) I had a Venetian salt cod croquette with Salsa Rossa - the flavouring was delicate which was a surprise. Mains my partner went for the linguine carbonara, pork belly and pancetta wrapped poached egg. This latter element was brilliant,as was the carbonara, unfortunately the pork belly with Parmesan on was a step too far for her. I went for the Fettucini in crab bisque, plaice,mussels, broccoli and pangrattarto which I found really good, if a little on the generous side! Something I do not usually have an issue with. Then we decided to finish this off, with a shared desert, burnt marshmallow with berry compote and clotted cream, oh boy this was good!!!!!! Service here is outstanding, attentive but not OTT, and they listen to comments. As we left we asked about getting a cab, but also that we fancied walking back to the hotel, without asking which one, they were able to suggest a route that was easy and suggested that this would be a good way to finish the evening. Right again The setting is what I think is known as modern industrial chick, it works

Still good but I feel it's slipping from it's previous excellence. On last visit the starters were good, the pork taco was excellent. My main wasn't bad but not up to their previous standards. The tomato sauce overpowered the seafood for me and the pasta was over cooked by anyone's standards.
