Absolutely fantastic food. Lovely restaurant, great service. Tables were spaced quite close together is the only slight negative. Will definitely return as the pizza was outstanding.

We had a lovely meal here, although service was a little bit slow at times. The atmosphere made up for this however. I would say the food was not quite as special as prices would make you expect, although it was still very good. We ordered pizza and pasta dishes that were freshly made. Desserts were also homemade, unfortunately presentation seemed to take precedence over how flavours came together. I am mainly referring to the popcorn ice cream where it looked pretty but the popcorn was dry and not enjoyable to eat.

We booked for a table of 8. The staff at Prego all evening were so friendly and lovely, they really made the evening special. I cannot praise the food or staff enough! Being vegan I was so happy to see a few lovely dishes on the menu but they were kind enough to make me a vegan pizza which was delicious! Thank you Prego. I wish I could eat here every week!

Really delicious fresh food that was of a really high quality and standard. The pasta was amazing and the gelatto was to die for, especially the peanut, chocolate and salted caramel. All the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Tasty food, we ordered a pizza and a pork ragu pasta with some desserts. The chocolate tart was a bit too intense as the cream was also quite thick, this dessert needs some work to breakdown the similar textures. The rhubarb pavlova on the other hand was superb. The service was good too. Will definitely be booking again.

Second time here. First was excellent, posted 5 star. Again last night food was great. Team very friendly. Service was a little hit and miss. Took ages to get the bill and pay. Prego is always 100% reliable for quality and delicious food. Been a favourite for years now. Quality ingredients full of flavour - superbly brought together by the chefs. The service is excellent too with very friendly and polite staff that exude warmth and energy making the whole dining experienced relaxed and everything you could want. Love it!

This was not only one of the best meals we've had recently, but one of the best meals we've had EVER! We had appetisers, 3 starters, 2 mains and 2 deserts (yes we are massive fatties), and it was all beautiful. We couldn't fault a thing. This was my wife & my first night out since Bristol was in tier 3. Food & service were excellent, we both had delicious pasta. Most impressive; the atmosphere... they have distanced the tables really well and the staff & owners couldn’t have been more attentive & focused. I'm sad to post a bit of a negative review because I've had a lovely time at this restaurant in the past, but unfortunately the service yesterday was not very pleasant. We were admittedly 10 minutes late for our reservation, which had a 1.5hr time limit on. However, this must surely happen all the time in a restaurant and we were made to feel uncomfortable and rushed from the moment we ordered drinks. First the waitress was making sarcastic comments, then accused us of being half an hour late which was just not true. Then the manager came out to 'apologise' for rushing us, whilst giving many underhanded comments about how it was really our fault for being 10 minutes late. I understand their frustration as they need to make enough money to justify opening, and they were concerned about their next booking, but I believe that when you have a table who are spending £100+ then you should at least be polite when explaining why things might need to be a little bit quicker. It was more about the staff's attitude than the situation. We were essentially thrown out when there were 3 empty tables! I'd gotten there as soon as I could, still in my walking clothes as I'd unfortunately had to stay 40 minutes late at the hospital where I work. So to have a really stressful afternoon turn into a stressful evening was just not what I was expecting at prego. I'm giving them 3*s because I've had a nice time there before, one of the waitresses was lovely and because I cant fault the food. The pizzas were delicious! I'm hoping the bad attitudes were purely down to the stress of keeping a small business afloat at this uncertain time. For Prego, I think you should add a note to the booking process that encourages people to arrive earlier than the specified time, and also consider coming up with a contingency plan for parties who are late, as I suspect that this will continue to be a problem for you and rushing your customers in a rude manner probably isn't the best way to go.

Good quality for 3 out of 4 meals. The pizza regrettably was doughy. Nice, clean restaurant with friendly staff. A little pricy for mains and also a rather limited menu, but that may be a sign of the times.

Best Italian in Bristol! Had dinner last night, there was not anything on the menu that I wouldn't eat and what I did order was amazing, I recommend the Burrata!! and the Spinach Ravioli, my friend had the lamb ragu which was also wonderful. Staff were really friendly, menu is fairly priced, althought alcoholic drinks are a little on the expensive side but to be honest thats to be expected. Unfortunately no pictures of food because I was too busy eating it.

An excellent Italian restaurant. From our welcome on arrival to the point we left the service was attentive, friendly and professional. The food was well presented and full of flavour. Prego have done an outstanding job adapting to outdoor hospitality. They have heaters on all tables, an amazing looking and very functional canopy and great decor including seasonal plants and lighting. This is dining outside but with excellent attention to detail. The food was seasonal, locally sourced and excellent quality. The house red at £19 a bottle is also excellent, as is the montepulciano at £26.

The seafood pasta was delicious! I tried some of my boyfriends pasta too and that was amazing. The starters we had were super tasty too. My only quelm is there's no booze in the tiramisu which in my opinion throws of the balance of all the other flavours. The chocolate torte tasted a bit more like a brownie also.

The Good I Didn't book but they found a table for us. Staff were attentive without being annoying. The Not so Good I order Sea Bass with mushroom ragu The Ragu was way too salty There was 2 pieces of fish measuring approximately 4cm by 4cm. Way Too pricey for what I received. I Left the Restaurant feeling hungry And to top it all They tried to charge me almost £21 extra for some wine we didn't have. To be even handed they did remove it from the bill without question. Would I go back not so sure.

Really good food. It was busy for a lunchtime sitting so as a party of 8 I am very glad that we booked. Service was just on the right side of the line in terms of speed, but only just. Excellent service despite being totally packed, coats taken and hung to dry on arrival as the weather was bad and great food, including a good variety of specials, with courteous staff. Not cheap but well worth it and they even (without request, and despite me saying it was necessary) reduced the bill as I had pointed out a tiny error in their menu. Highly recommended... I suggest you book or you may not get a seat!

Local to area and have been 4/5 times and booked again this evening. Looking the number up I saw the bad reviews which I find staggering. They couldn't be more wrong, it's an absolute gem. Fantastic menu , excellent food, lovely inside , very reasonable and friendly service. For those bemoaning the loss of Bon Viveur and latterly Le Muset it is the perfect substitute.
