My Wife and I visited Cardiff yesterday 2/4/2022 for a very relaxed weekend due to both working in the NHS. We decided on eating with Frankie and Bennys. Upon arrival we were greeted and told there would be a 20 min wait which was fine. After 15 minutes we were seated and then greeted by a very well presented and lovely young man called Connor who took our orders. The food was fantastic as always and we weren't disappointed. This is a place we would return to and also let friends and family no.

Our server was excellent and she made us feel really comfortable. It was a bit of a wait for food but for it being half term I can completely understand that it was busy. The rest of my party enjoyed their food, however some of the items could be improved upon. The brisket burger is no different than a regular beef burger from burger king, and the onion rings were completely raw and had no colour to them. Despite this, I still enjoyed my time here and would think about coming back.

Thanks so much for a lovely meal, we visited today for my partners birthday, we was served by Emily. She was very pleasant & always on hand when we needed to order something else. The food was amazing! And the atmosphere was great. There are a great team of staff who seem very happy to work there as they were all very bubbly and friendly even though the restaurant was very busy. They didn’t seem to be under any pressure. There was also another member of staff who was making a fuss of young children which I thought was very nice to see. Overall very nice F&B. Defo one of my favourite locations around, service was very quick. Thank you F&B.

Visited on 6th April while browsing the mall. Haven't had F&Bs for a long time and was a first for my partner. Food was very good and good quantity & value for money, staff friendly and attentive, good atmosphere and seating arrangements. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended the BBQ chicken wings 👌🏼starters

The food was lovely and our server was very friendly and generally a nice guy. One big problem I had was communication, we weren't made aware of the over 50 minute wait on food. Now the wait would of been okay had we had our starters but after asking if our food was coming out we were told that there had been a mix up in the kitchen and all our food was due to come out together. Our starters were cold and that was the biggest disappointment, our mains were warm, tasty and good value for money. We were given a discount because of the wait from our server, would probably visit again hoping that communication was a one time thing.

We have just called in to have a meal before the cinema, we were not disappointed. Food was lovely and as for our waiter Connor he was amazing and made our day. Very helpful and a pleasure to meet him. A great asset to you.

Everything was fine. Meals great. Service ok. Only criticism I have is that with five of us eating. They kept forgetting to bring what we ordered for our youngest son. We had to ask for his side dish and again his desert to be bought to us as everyone else's arrived complete and after waiting 5 or so minutes we had to ask for his outstanding items.

We had a life saving breakfast in here on Monday morning. I managed the Normal, kids had a Stacker each and the husband munched his way through the Big One (only left the black pudding so deserved a prize - see photos). All cooked beautifully, lovely friendly waitress, can't fault it.

A friend and I visited here on New Year’s Eve for some lunch as we both always have and still do love this restaurant. Both of our food was very pleasant, my pizza was a bit paler than I’d like unfortunately which wasn’t great however I have had great ones in the past and as you can see, the pizza in the background looks much better so perhaps I just got a little unlucky. Unfortunately however, the service just wasn’t great and has really put both of us off going back to this particular store in the future. All of the staff were great however there were two members of staff who were just so rude when serving both a male and female and made you feel a bit like an alien or just very self conscious of yourself as if you were being judged and just made the atmosphere dull despite being extremely polite and friendly to them.

Oh my god I can only recommend checking out the children's menu even if you are an adult it has a very satisfying combination of a main aside and a little something else and it is cheap and shockingly enough even for me who is 6-ft and definitely loves to eat it was a perfectly sized portion the children menu is absolutely accident I recommend taking children and adults who don't mind laughing and smiling a bit at themselves here the quality of the food was also really high and if you do go with a children's menu choice the pizzas are absolutely exquisite

Friends and I came in for a meal after a visit to the cinema. We had a friendly welcoming server drinks and food were delivered to.us quickly I had the double bacon cheese burger it was stunning one of the best burgers I've eaten in a long time plus good value for.money definitely be returning soon.

Overall a great experience, we were sat near the door, a little draft coming at us, we asked to be moved and they did it straight away and on a half term week when it was was packed. My only complaint was that I was told something came on my meal and it didn't, although there was a partial piece on my plate, which confused me. Soon rectified but I didn't realise I would be charged for it. Great atmosphere, nice food just that little hiccup.

I ordered the vegan pasta bake. Was expecting it to be spicy as the description stated chillies and 'pepperoni'. It was hotter than any curry I'd ever tasted. Only managed a few mouthfuls totally inedible. I'd imagine a mistake had occurred somewhere along the line and it wasn't meant to be like that. Please bring back the vegan pasta in a creamy sauce that you used to offer. The service however, was great the staff were really helpful and accommodating.

Got an email through from this place for national burger day, which contained an offer for a free burger meal when you buy a large drink or budweieser. Obviously this was going to be a busy day for them but me and my misses were in town anyway and figured we would both use the voucher. We showed up and asked about it and they said there would be a half hour wait, which was to be expected as it was right around lunchtime. They gave us a buzzer and said we could go anywhere in Saint David's center and it would buzz us when they were ready which was excellent as we probably would have browsed the center until they were available anyway. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Chloe who dealt with us the most keeping a constant eye on us to make sure everything was okay and offering us drinks even though the place was very busy. Not including the additional drinks we ended up buying we would have spent under £10 for 2 burgers with fries and 2 pints of coke which is excellent value for money and of very good quality. I come here fairly often and try different things in the huge menu so rarely go for the burgers, but they did not disappoint. I never expect to spend more than £15 per person and always leave incredibly full and very pleased with the service.

We went to Frankie and Bennys for my daughter's 6th birthday last night and we had a lovely time. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by a polite young lady who was very enthusiastic towards my daughter as she was wearing a birthday badge. The service was very quick and the food was delicious. When it came to the birthday cake the waiters and waitresses all sang and clapped which ended the evening perfectly. Thank you 😊

Food was okay, waited 45-50 minutes after ordering to be told the starter had gone to the wrong table (??). Staff apologised to be fair to them. Place tidy, staff helpful. Not sure its a place to go if you plan to be in a bit of a hurry. Need to leave a fair amount of time if you've booked elsewhere afterwards.

They were very busy, we only chose to go there as there was a 1h15m wait at a competitors restaurant. The welcome host was very pleasant and smiley. They were quick to take our order. They didn't take it correctly I asked for extra fries but didn't get them, thankfully I wasn't charged either, the waiter who served our dinner asked if we wanted any sauces, where I asked for mayonnaise. It never arrived. When I tried to gain anyone's attention to ask for some, they avoided eye contact or were too busy. It wasn't the worst dining experience, but the food was tasteless and it was underwhelmingly average and mediocre. We visited on Weds 28th October at around 13:00.

Went out for a Saturday night with a bunch of work colleagues and decided to go Frankie and Benny's to forego a 30 minute wait elsewhere, we ordered a few too many pitchers and Pizzas, had a great waitress who was humourous as well as professional even if she didn't want my referral AMEX card no matter how many positive light angles I portrayed. All in all, enjoyed the pizza, enjoyed the drinks and enjoyed the interactions with the waitress. Recommend Frankie and Benny's for a fast service and nice and easy choices. :)

A lovely lady by the name of Lisa served us this evening. We always struggle when we’re out due to one of our children suffering with a severe nut allergy, which for some reason most restaurants seem to inadequately train their staff in the severity of getting this wrong. Lisa was amazing, we went through the children’s menu, selected the food and were reassured throughout its preparation and when delivered to the table it was brought separately. If you, your friends, or family, suffer with allergies then please rest assured this particular Frankie & Benny’s will do their very best to cater for you and keep you or your loved one safe. Went here today as a party of 6. We went for mains only. One of the party has a nut allergy and the allergen advice was great, they use an app to show what can be eaten and not which was really easy to use and helpful for a nervous eater. Spaghetti bolognese was good as was the pomodoro and carbonara. The chicken and prawn Alfredo was OK. The prawns were undercooked for a hot dish and the dish needed more cream. The New York BBQ chicken main was dry and we had to add lots of extra BBQ sauce and the slaw lacked flavour. Had a couple of garlic bread sides, they were OK, very crispy and it was a bit too crispy in the centre and too moist at the crust. Service was great, the team member that served us was lovely and did a good job for us.

Myself and two friends attended the diner the day after Boxing Day. It was still super busy. But we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff and the food was great! We downloaded the F&B app and got a 33% discount off the bill which was great, especially as we’d all been shopping and spending all day. I can’t fault the service. It was GREAT.

We visited on a Saturday evening so all restaurants were busy. We were given a device that beeps to let you know a table is available. The man who served us was still smiling and helpful despite the place being busy. The restaurant seemed to have better control over the customers compared to other places, the staff kept their cool. We were sat on a small table at the front, outside of the restaurant, quite close to other people eating so we felt quite exposed. It would've been nice to have been inside. Their upstairs was completely empty so I didn't understand why people weren't seated there. The food arrived very quickly and we still had good service. The food was very nice. My cocktail was pretty sour but it was still nice.

Ordered an uber eats from frankie and bennys, Saint David in town, the food ended up not arriving so I decided to ring the store. I Spoke to a great gentleman that said to call back in 10 if it still didn't arrive (didn't catch his name unfortunately). When the store was called back there was a lovely woman called Megan, she was such a great help! She helped sort the uber eats, allowed me to order a small fries and included my missing meal with the fries. Megan was also nice enough to add in 2 brownies for free! The staff, and customer service are amazing and went above and beyond to help me with a problem rooting from uber eats. Thank you for my order and for all the help along the way!

Decent food, at a decent price, with quirky nostalgic photos from famous stars to old school boxers etc, my kids love the place as they always choose the make your own desert, which is on the kids menu. Only given it four starts as not sure if it's me but the portions seem to be getting smaller, eg: chips that came with the meals. But all in all a pleasant place with a good selection of food and the staff are very friendly too.

If you’re looking for fab food with great staff this is the place! My mum and I chanced it for a quick lunch and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. We were served by the lovely Lee Lee who made us feel incredibly welcome and the food was delicious. The rest of our day was sunnier because of him! Decent Italian/American food. Prices are a little high, but there are often deals on. Service can be a little bit and miss, but generally good. Kids menu is excellent and the kid's mocktails are a winner with my boys. Worth booking if you're going on a weekend, unless you're happy to wait. The use a pager system to call you when a table is ready.

Took my friend here for a meal and had the best experience. Our waiter Jedi was very accommodating and went the extra mile for us ensuring we had everything we needed. Also after offering us dessert which we decided not to have as the starters and Mac and Cheese and Mac no cheese were both so filling and lovely! But after mentioning it was her birthday the day before when we were due to pay the bill he surprised her with a Happy Birthday and some vegan ice cream which was again delicious! Would definitely recommend!

This is somewhere in between 3 and 4 stars. The local is very nice, the upstairs section is very good looking but was closed. The pizza I had was good, nothing brilliant. The cheesecake dessert was tasty but small. The service a little bit slow but no problems at all. Everyone makes mistakes and it's how you react to them that makes this a 5 star rating. After bringing out a wrong order within 2 minutes the correct order was in front of me. Many people would never give a 5 star rating for this but the food was great and the service was even better in my book. Our waiter Connor was brilliant.

We were in a rush so would have appreciated being told before sitting that there was a delay on food or someone at least checking in with us while we waited. No cutlery or napkins were provided until we asked. The steak was undercooked and the jacket potato was over down and had a really chalky texture. Didn't enjoy the meal, much prefer our local F&B's.

Absolutely fantastic service from Connor and Shan . As busy as they were they remained friendly and professional. Making everyone feel welcome. Instead of getting flustered under pressure they thrived on it . If I had this standard every time i ate out , I'd be a very happy lady . Also Connor offered a table with soft seats as he spotted I had a walking stick and disabilities. Head office should be very proud of the level of food and service this branch provides

I went around 4pm on Friday and the restaurant was still quite busy & full of families (likely due to school holidays). Anyone going to F&Bs knows it is a family restaurant and that unfortunately the staff have no control over how parents choose to allow their offspring to behave in public. It was rather loud, but the music was loud enough that it drowned out most of the noise of shrieking children. Naturally I haven't taken stars off for that because the business caters to families and I accepted that before I went to eat there. I ordered off the lunch menu and the server I had (Alex) was an absolute rockstar: she allowed me to order 2 appetisers and a main as my three courses so I could try their watermelon and feta salad (good, though they were very generous with the red onion!). All my food arrived at an ideal temperature and was tasty and satisfying. The portions were good value for money. The real star of the visit was my server, Alex. She juggled an incredibly busy section with grace and a friendly attitude. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she really made the meal special. Thank you!

Visited recently with my wife. Had purchased a Groupon voucher for £30 which included two courses with bottle of wine. Food was brilliant as was the service from Supervisor Lee Lee. We enjoyed this place a lot when we first started using it but it's taken a few favourites off the menu in the last 6 months(roughly), 1 of those is a bit of a deal breaker. Plus the last time we went in we were sat near the pass and I was unimpressed with how long food was sat there while staff were stood idle or other food was still being cooked, I saw a burger sat there for 15 mins while they cooked the rest of the order, then I saw it come back as the bun had turned into a crouton under the pass lights, thankfully they were better organised on our order or I probably would have refused it.

The service was good, but two of the party of 4 ordered steak cooked med, both came back well done, mine very well done so i complained (something i never do). It wasn't taken straight away the server checked with the manager if this was ok. When it was returned the other 3 people had finished eating, i had to mop the blood off my plate my chip were soaked and i had to use my napkin to get the seeping blood off my steak. All in all very disappointed. I will go back but would never order steak again (it was also chewy)

They also offer a variety of vegan sauses: vegan mayo, aioli, burger sause, barbecue sause, tomato sause and chilli sause which I loved. I had their 15" Verdure pizza and the Rigatoni Ragu. I feel the flavours were a bit bland and improvement is needed. I like a pizza with lots of vegetables and herbs like thyme & origano. The Ragu did not have a creamy taste like a bechamel. I'd come again to try the rest of the items. The desserts and burger look good to warrant a try.
