Reviews of Civerinos
M. R.
5 of us went for lunch and had the best time. We ordered a Vegan pizza (artichoke and beats) vegan mac and cheese, and non veggie members had squid ink spaghetti and spaghetti meatballs. The food was hot and very tasty. Pudding was fried donuts in cinnamon and a pot of nutella in the side....we will definitely be back. Service was excellent, staff really friendly. Decor is 50's diner fused with Italian. A great place to come for lunch.

This is amazing pizza!! Edinburgh has a great selection of pizza restaurants but this place has to be up there with the best!
Various selection of pizza pies and some with a little variations of the usual classics. All the pizzas we ordered were throughly enjoyed.
Try and save some room for the donuts at the end - delicious and a good portion to share between 3 or 4 people.
Nicely decorated inside with seating outdoors and in cool basement area. They have their own beer brewed by Brewgooder which was tasty mans a selection of soft drinks and cocktails.
Service was excellent on a busy Friday evening. Great location just of the Royal Mile. Make sure to try this place!

We've been to the other Civerinos where we've had their amazing slices but this was the first time at this branch where they serve full individual pizzas. Quite a different menu from the other ones but I quite liked that. We ordered two pizzas and also the kids had meatballs. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and it was even dog friendly which is a massive bonus. Will certainly be back.

Great! Lovely little pizzeria, suggested to be the best in town, a literal stones throw from the Royal Mile. Funky interior but also outdoor seating which I took as it was a lovely evening. Rustic and friendly service. Great choice of pizzas, be warned pizza for 1 is huge, but they box up for you to take home. Incredibly fresh, vibrant and tasty ingredients. Simple wine list. Excellent value for portion size. I will definitely return.

Holy mother of PASTA. The rave reviews on this page are not lying; The food here is delicious. I had the carbonara and it was probably the nicest one I've ever had. I loved getting to mix the egg yolk in to create the sauce and it was so filling I left loads of it behind! When I visit Edinburgh again I will definitely be coming back.
T. B.
One of the best pizza restaurants I have ever been to. Decor is not for me but my god the food is so good. The fries are just amazing. The arancini ball are even better. I will be back!
A. A.
I had an average experience here. Although service and staff were great, I didn’t have the best dining experience. I had a hair in my seafood pasta so I no longer had an appetite to eat the food. Otherwise it was great!

Absolutely must-try place if you’re ever in Edinburgh. The pizzas are incredibly delicious, simple but still varied - they also offer vegetarian & vegan options so it’s a good option if you’re with friends with varied preferences. The carbonara was cooked to perfection and creamy. The zeppole donuts with dipping sauce - mmm mmm mmm! I highly recommend. Also many bars nearby to stop by at after a food coma.
J. W.
I’d seen this place on Instagram and the food did not disappoint! It was too much for me but I ended up bringing a doggy bag of leftovers all the way back to Glasgow.
I had the buratta bomb and the margarita pizza. It was like a NY style. The base was saucy with plenty of gooey cheese and the crust was ideal for dipping into the sauce that came with the buratta.
L. O.
Went here for dinner on a Monday night with my partner and had the most delicious meal here! Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, great be service and fantastic food! Thank you to Will be back here again on our next trip to Edinburgh!
A. H.
Great Italian style restaurant with many options for all tastes! Had The Civeronos and Margherita pizza with my wife and enjoyed them both very much! Would recommend anyone looking for a great reasonably priced pizza to check out Civerinos!
R.
Must try restaurant in Edinburgh and the hype is definitely real. We tried the pizza with figs, prosciutto and honey as well as the salami pizza. The crust was perfect - crunchy on the bottom with soft crusts and freshly made. Washed down with nice cold beer.
Shout out to the servers - Irina was awesome. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
We were lucky enough to walk-in early in the evening. However, try to book in advance as it got busy very quickly.
M. H.
Brilliant atmosphere, excellent attentive staff and fantastic pizza. The food is excellent value
N. E.
A lot of people will tell you that this is a must-visit restaurant if you're touring Edinburgh, and the hype is real. I got the pizza with figs, prosciutto and honey and it was easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was perfectly crunchy on the bottom with soft crusts and it tastes fresh. The servers are also incredibly friendly and helpful. Although definitely book in advance as its very popular.
E. S.
First class no hawaian pizza but plenty other choices nice atmosphere pleasant staff 👍
A. P.
Really good pizza - also try the arancini! The decor is a little weird, but don’t let that turn you away! Would definitely recommend for pizza!
L. F.
Drop dead gorgeous, love love loved it. And for being slap bang in the middle of the fringe fest, service was quick and really friendly
M. J.
A cute place to grab a quick dinner. Really good location just off the royal mile, and fast service! Slightly expensive and quite a small, tight venue but overall, I'd definitely recommend!
E. B.
I shared a Civerinos pizza and a Pesto pizza here and both were high quality and delicious. While not the best pizza ever, it certainly exceeds any chain restaurant pizza. At 4:30 there was already a long wait for interior dining but they had outdoor seating which worked out. I would eat here again.
C. A.
The food was fantastic, the pizza out of this world ,
Walked in , looked very busy but we was taken downstairs to a cute little room , soon filled up with more customers.
Service was great quick and attentive
Will certainly go again and would definitely recommend
T. G.
Fantastic pizza (civerino’s signature) in a nice setting, very quickly served! Thanks
R. W.
The starters were a bit underwhelming, calamari overcooked and far too much parmesan over everything, which over powered the dishes. The pizzas were delicious though, and it was good value for money. The upstairs dining area is a bit cramped and the music was louder than I personally like in a restaurant. The margarita cocktail was...different, but not the best, it's a shame blue curaçao has such a weird after taste because the colour was amazing.
I'd come back for pizza, but skip the starters.
H. B.
We were in town on a cruise and stopped here for lunch. The pizza was amazing. I got too much but since you can't take it on the ship i"forced" myself to finish the whole pie. Not all heroes wear capes. Ha. Cool little joint and the staff was rad. I loved the pizza and the rest of the family said they really enjoyed it too.
M. W.
A bit disappointed with the food, it was ok, but we would not return. The service was excellent; otherwise, it would be a bad experience.
L. C.
Had a great experience! Adam got us a table even when it was very busy by moving tables around and we could not be more grateful. Great pizza and antipasti and I wish we could be back soon but the commute from Glasgow is a little far.
K. R.
Great pizza and great atmosphere. The staff were friendly. The pizza was made quickly and was delicious, would recommend. Probably have to book at busier times but we managed to get a table as a walk in.
J. K. K.
Great pizza. We ordered 3 different pizza and one pasta. Also ordered 2 side dishes. Every food was great and service was ok. Hopefully try another menu later.
P. C.
Civerinos never disappoints, no matter how many times we visit. Staff is friendly and quick which is good, because they don't keep you waiting. From the quirky decor to the top ingredients, this is possibly one of the best pizzerias in Edinburgh. Some of my favourites are their parmigiana pizza, as well as the Civerinos and the Pepperoni. And if you fancy some sweet pizza for dessert, go for the orange with chocolate one. It is delicious. If you're not a big eater be aware that their portions are quite big, so good to share.
M. C.
Lovely service and a perfect pizza. Couldn't fault it!
M. M.
This Italian street food has a short menu of pizzas, pastas and light bites. Perfect venue to watch free fringe on the square. Extremely speedy service and lovely staff.
Would have been nice to eat on proper plates rather than paper ones outside but overall a lovely experience
E. L.
Quick lunch spot just off of High Street in Edinburgh. It’s down a street with Starbucks at the corner.
Came here on a weekday at 2pm and the server told us we had to sit in the middle communal bench as the corner tables were for more than 2 people, when there was only a few people in the restaurant. During our whole lunch, nobody came to sit at those spots.
The pepperoni pizza was great and huge. It came fairly quickly. 2 of us couldn’t finish the pizza. The pizza was £12, so it’s reasonable for the large size. I wish they had more salads though. They had free breadsticks in cans on each table.
Other than the rude server, I’d recommend coming here.
G. G.
Civerino’s appears in multiple critics reviews as one of the top 10 pizza spots in the UK. Now, it was thoroughly enjoyable experience however I wouldn’t travel for it further than inside Scotland. It is a cut above the generic takeaway pizzas, but isn’t on the same pay grade as pizza from the US. Not an overly big fan of Buffalo Mozzarella, this was a big part of the pizza as you can see from the photos.
The pizza doesn’t come cut, which is certainly a downgrade as it involves juggling a hot pizza pan with a pizza cutter. The do-it your way style isn’t up my alley and considering they have slice places, it’s quite counter productive. The cooking on the pizza was decent and crisp base with a solid crust. The sauce on the pizza was a higher quality than most, with the tomato shining a little too much. Regular mozzarella was a good standard and the flop ratio was consistent throughout. The pizza out of 10 is 7.6 - I’d travel from around Scotland to eat, but not quite UK wide.
My eating partner had the wild boar carbonara - the boar was chewy, chunks of fat from the boar protruding from the meat. Sauce was an okay standard, very cheesy. Spaghetti was good, however dense and claggy. 7.2 out of 10 - not bad.
We had the seasoned fries and these had been absolutely fantastic, taking me back to a childhood of eating away with no concern. I thoroughly enjoyed them and personally on the fries scale easily a 9.2.
The experience and ambience was exceptional with the waiters catering well to our needs. It’s a small subtle restaurant with a somewhat hipster vibe. Based on Edinburgh and Scotland’s pizza scene, it has to be in the top 5 consideration.
G. N.
Superb Italian food - plenty of choice for vegetarians as well. The vegan pizza was good, while the arancini and eggplant ripieno were superb. The French fries with truffle oil and mozzarella were also excellent. Friendly and fast service.
R. C.
Cool decor and very tasty food with a better menu that most pizza joints. Great to be at a locally owned business in the centre of Edinburgh
J. A. S.
The pizza was more like a cheese soup than a pizza.
C. O.
Genuinely couldn't fault this place. Pizzas were amazing, service was great, sides portions were huge,l and brilliant cocktails - would highly recommend the strawberry gin one. Will definitely be back!
G. W.
Superb place. Squeezed us in without a booking over lunch on Easter Sunday. Staff were lovely and the food superb. We have the rigatoni (spicy!) Plain spaghetti (really sensible plain options for kids), margarita pizza (cheesy) and the veggie pasta. All great. Very pleased with the bill too. The garlic fried bread ball thingys were excellent side order.
T. M.
The pizzas were good , I had the GoaT and the wife had the Parm Springs Hottie but the rating was downgraded because we were put downstairs to the small area next to the private room which was cold , had absolutely no atmosphere unlike the main room upstairs and as we were the only ones there for a half hour felt like we had been forgotten about by the busy staff. As i had booked the table almost 2 weeks before it did feel like a let down to be in a cellar like room with no other customers.
E. H. C. N.
A decent, regular pizza and pasta place with great service. Especially loved the King prawn pasta which was really refreshing and citrusy. Pizza was good too.
H. L. G.
Yes! Another win in Scotland. Beautiful lil spot with killer service, our waitress was adorable (from Pennsylvania) so super chatty & fun like us! (American) great food & drink! The pizza was spot on! Go here while in Edinburgh!
E. K.
Civerinos Edinburgh is fantastic! Plenty of food.. very generous portions. Atmosphere here is wonderful. Staff are so friendly, decor is cozy & unique. Restaurant very clean. Eat Here!! 😋🏴 …
J. O.
Seating was an issue, seems to be too many covers in a small space which doesn't make it as much as a relaxed atmosphere as you'd hope. However, food quality was great, drinks were lovely and staff were friendly, the burrata small plate is a must!!
M. S.
Rustic place with authentic Italian food. Had delicious Carbonara with egg yolk, and some seafood spaghetti - both tasted very good. Service was was prompt and pleasant, too.
N. T.
Great place with a friendly atmosphere and really nice staff who gave some great recommendations. The pizza was very good, especially the sauce and base. They also had a variety of toppings to choose from and plenty of other options if pizza doesn't take your fancy.
P. W.
Pretty good pizza. Phili cheese steak pizza really spicy, some of the staff too :) Kinda industrial atmosphere, rather noisy envoirement. Overall 4/5 would recommend!
A.
Massive pizzas, I recommend sharing! But overall really good pizzas, perhaps a little pricey at £12.
Personally I prefer slice or high dive, however civerinos is still pretty good with its selection of pizzas. They offer vegan options too!
Lovely staff, although they almost forgot to give me my change, but very prompt service.
V. C.
Delicious food and friendly staff, you can eat outside and inside and they have a toilet
L. G. L.
The pizza was absolutely the best I've ever had, I got a pepperoni pizza, and it was just astoundlingly good. We went here at about 20:30 local time, and while it was very busy outside, and seemed that way inside as well, there was actually more than enough space inside the building. The restaurant had a nice style to it, the roman bust wearing headphones and the lighting in particular really added a hint of V A P O R W A V E, something I've never seen in real life. The service was superb, it was almost as if they had our pizza's ready before we ordered them, as they were ready in about five minutes. Aside from the usual drinks we also ordered a 750ml bottle of water, but they forgot to refrigirate it beforehand, so we had to wait a while, but really it was only a minor disturbance.
The food was not very expensive, £45,- for 2 pizzas, a 330ml bottle of coke, 330ml wine and a 750ml bottle of sparkling water.
tl;dr amazing pizza, not too expensive, and good service.
P.S, I've you read this whole thing, give my review a like, it would be much appreciated.
S. M.
Yup pizza was lovely , I got it well done because the ones I saw around weren't crispy enough for me. We got chips, a pasta plate and calamari . All were delicious .
The canned beer Birra Moretti is the good stuff !! And the Aperol slushy of the day was delicious !
Atmosphere and music were awesome ! Decor was on point !
ł. c.
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to in my life. The food was astonishing and so was the service and the overall atmosphere of the place. Absolutely top notch. 5 stars well deserved.
G.
Great staff, amazing food and they gave us all free desert and a free shot of amaretto each. Can't complain. Edinburgh is beautiful
F. C.
The vegan Pizzas and Mac and cheese vegan option were so tasty. The service was also great!
D. V.
I was off that day and found this place walking around the city in Hunters Square. I ordered a Civerino's pizza with fresh burrata cheese on top and some pepperoni, Italian sausage, sugo base and rosemary. I also had an affogato coffee with amaretto and vanilla Ice-cream as desert, and I can only say that I enjoyed it like a child! The creamy Italian coffee was so good and authentic 👌
D. B.
Lovely service and absolutely delicious food! Really enjoyed our visit, my pizza was delicious the cheese and sauce was insane, loved it
S. H.
This is our new favourite dining spot. Came across it whilst walking back to our hotel from breakfast and it was the best find my partner and I could have made. We have already made plans to travel back just to come here again. The staff were wonderful and kind, and the food was just the best. My partner and I can’t stop going on about the garlic dough balls. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
E. M.
Our favourite place in the world for pizza. Always fresh ingredients used, so tasty. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.
F. R.
This is the best Pizza Restaurant I whole Edinburgh -I loved the vibe, the food tastes amazing and the staff really goes above and beyond for you :) 10/10 would recommend going here🥳 …
L. B.
One of the best pizza places in Edinburgh. Big 14" pies with a mix of toppings cooked in what I believe is a woodfire oven. Really great setting for casual dining and super helpful service.
B. L.
Great food and service provided in such a cool place! We absolutely loved it!
L. W.
Cute little place! Really excellent meatballs, probably the best I've ever had. Great pastas and the pizza looked delicious. The servers were exceptionally friendly and efficient. Awesome and affordable casual Italian in Old Town!
S. J.
Amazing place for food, great staff too, been a few time and will keep going back 😊
H. W.
Amazing as always, best pizza in Edinburgh and brilliant service, staff always great.
C. A.
The food is really good, though I feel like the pizza is way too expensive. They've got a good space with nice lighting.
It can get quite busy at night.
C. H.
Extremely friendly staff! Amazing atmosphere with perfect Italian food :)
J. O.
How do they make a pizza with a base so nice and crisp?! The sauce is great, the size is great, the price is great! I went for the Quattro Formaggii and the cheese was so thick and gooy in the best way without being over powering. Check this place out if you want some of the best pizza in Edinburgh!
M. M.
Very nice pizza and the chips were nicely seasoned
B. S.
Pizza was amazing...and enormous! But keep some space for dessert because you're spoilt for choice there too. Great all round place, relaxed vibe.
D. D.
The atmosphere was cool and the food was great. Try the mango salad and garlic mushrooms with your pizza
S. R.
Not bad in a pinch, but really not great pizza. The crust was overcooked, and the flavor combinations were a little lacking.
B. M.
Perfectly pizza with a thin and crispy base and great crust. Had the Philly Cheese Steak pizza which I would very much recommend.
Make sure you get some parmesan and truffle fries for the table too!
L. A.
Delicious pizza for a great price! I’m a huge fan of pizza, and this one has become one of my favourites in Edinburgh so far.
I would appreciate more veggie options, but the ones they have are delicious and you can always ask them to remove some ingredients from the pizza you want, so not bad!
C. D.
Great pizza, the base was so crispy which I like. Staff were great as well, highly recommended!
A. R.
Great pizza and amazing fries with parmesan! Staff was very friendly!
A. D.
Good food but outside tables were small and wobbly. It took a bit of juggling not to spill my drink while cutting my pizza.
L. H.
Great venue, great service, good music and probably one of the best pizza I ever had: a beast of a place! Congratulations to all the team!
S. K.
Loved the environment and the menu. The service was quite fast although the overall prices were a bit high.
G. T.
Me and my partner went in this evening, we both had pasta dishes which were not great. The carbonara had no flavour except the meat which tasted of pure salt. BUT. The service was incredible. We were offered a pizza as replacement which we accepted and it was by far one of the best pizzas I've ever had, (and I love pizza). All in all. Really good time there and left very happy, and very full.
N. S.
Delicious pizza 🍕 quick service 👌🏻 good price …
K. T.
The best Pizza in Edinburgh. Friendly service and excellent location. The Pizza was just like in Rome. I recommend this place for every Pizza lovers, who are in the city.
Z. A. (. b.
Lovely pizza, nice outside seating, good service and friendly staff.
G. B.
I stopped here for lunch while on a study abroad trip in May the food was delicious and the staff was friendly (our server was even kind enough to reprimand a creepy drunk who was harassing my group)
S. P.
Quite possibly the best pizza you can get your hands on in town.
Special recommendations also to the mini fried dough balls and the deep-fried burrata. Mixing 🏴 and 🇮🇹 together in the most perfect way possible. …
H.
I had their signature pizza (civerinos pizza), which was quite te experience. If you want to try something new I'd recommend this place. Even if you arent as adventurous; their pesto pizza was delicious as well
D. W.
Pizza was tasty but the initial service was woeful as we were ignored by waitresses chatting to friends outside.
Also, £5 for a 330ml can of beer or cider is daylight robbery.
A.
I recommend that everyone should visit here, not just for the glorious and satisfying pizza's but for the decent service too.
Travelling and dining alone can make me anxious but I still do it anyways and the young woman who waited on me was very welcoming and kind which goes a long way. She is a credit to her team!
I. R.
Starters were really nice! Deep fried burrata and arancini were great! The pizzas were nice but not mind-blowing, then again two of the most interesting ones were not available, as were some of the mains. Service was very friendly but a bit slow, a few of our orders got missed off but I think that's because the place was really loud and it was very busy. World come back and try again.
K. H.
The best pizza joint in Edinburgh, no other pizza compares. I've ended up making this my go to pizza place. I love sitting out on a sunny day, watching the world go by and enjoy some genuine Italian goodness. Amazing pizzas, friendly staff and just overall a really chill place to sit in and eat good food.
C. R.
Excellent pizza. Friendly atmosphere. Big size pizza
c. P.
The best pizza I've had outside of Italy hands down. 100% recommend, the staff are brilliant and friendly too! Helped me and my friend get a table when we had not booked a table and it was a busy Friday night!. Go if you get the chance
t.
Good pizza, but sadly long delays in receiving our order. However, waitress was v professional and helpful in fixing the situation.
R. E.
Awesome! Fantastic pizza, staff were awesome. Placed was packed just after opening, get in early.
M. K.
Very nice staff and pizza was really good 😄👍🏻 …
P. D.
Brilliant food and fantastic pizza.
Had seen adverts for these pizzas on social media (all the way from Manchester) so had to pop in and try it.
So glad we did as it was fantastic food and great music to boot also!
S. Τ.
We tried the vegan Mac&cheese and 2 vegan Pizzas.
Everything was super 👍
Food and also service
T. C.
The pizza was average and the edge was uncooked, the deep fried buratta was nice. Really small selection of drinks and desserts. Overall, not an italian restaurant
C. B.
Unexpectedly, most of the pasta can be gluten free! Delicious gf carbonara and an exceptionally good glutenous pizza. We thought the cesar had too much dressing but that is a matter of opinion! And the strawberry lemonade slushie was divine. Always friendly.
J. S.
Solid/decent pizza but nothing to brag about. It'll do the job but if you're an American, you'll likely leave somewhat disappointed or whelmed at best
H. A.
Good prices, good taste as always. But waiting time is unreal, we waited for over an hour. That is pathetic.
M. C.
Pizzas were banging! Very reasonably priced as well considering the quality.
F. J.
We stopped by on our last day in Edinburgh and the pizzas were delicious. They remind me a bit of neopolitan pizzas and I highly recommend it.
J. M.
Great pizzas, not too pricy, relaxed atmosphere could use a few more beer options
L. J.
Such a lovely restaurant with fabulous Italian food.
C. M.
Food was not all that. As Italians it is not in the whole theme. No bread with saucy dishes no pepe and sale and oil and vinegar on the table. My pasta carbonara was not bad but so much bits of black pepper it was not very good. Im sorry. The stars are for interiour and the lovely girls who were serving.
C. C.
Nice food. Good for taking kids. Pizzas are big, one can easily feed 2 average hungry kids. Meats and cheeses platter was very generous, shared between 2 adults and we couldn't finish it. Roasted pepper and courgette salad was lovely as well. Nice and helpful staff.
D. M.
Great pizza, laid back atmosphere, good service
A. P.
Pizza is amazing, desert is even better! great place!
R. W.
Great for quick but delicious food! Lovely staff and great vibe.

I have been visiting Civerinos and its sister place Civerinos slice for a few years. Their pizza towers, exciting street food scenarios, and tasty shakes are the lead that I go back for. Both venues are laid back with friendly and easy-going staff who definitely love what they do, and that's what matters the most when you visit a restaurant, in my opinion. The food is exceptional the pizza creations are creative, large, and fun. Overall your visit will be an experience on its own.
The look and feel is just the perfect combination of a traditional NYC style pizza vendor mixed with the urban millennial edgy feels, topped with the warm touch of a local family business vibes. Both venues have outside seating which means you can enjoy your lush pizzas with some superb surroundings. The locations are perfectly situated in Edinburgh's medieval Old Town.
Civerninos is a must-visit when you are in Edinburgh, among the many iconic local institutions, Civerinos became one of my favourites. I would highly recommend it!
E. T.
Amazing fresh food, very friendly and helpful staff great atmosphere
E. C.
Lovely Pizza, me and my friend got two different kinds and we were thoroughly impressed. The Pizzas are big so don't worry about not getting a big feed. Waiter gave us a good recommendation on where to go for milkshakes after. Nice and Cool Atmosphere!
M. K.
Popped in here whilst wondering around the city centre. What an amazing pizza, super tasty, crust like you have never had before, we had the signature "Civerinos", with a side of the parmesan and truffle chips (wow, just wow btw). The venue is vibrant and lively and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We will be returning!
Š. Š.
Absolutely delightful! We had an amazing time, reasonably priced and food is just out of this world! Interesting combinations of ingredients. Can be a little packed if its full speciaaly if you order lot of food because all the pizzas are 14 inches 🔥🔥 Best pizza in Edinburgh! …
A. J.
A great place for pizza if you want a quick bite while you are downtown, I will highly recommend this place if you are traveling with a group and want to share multiple pizzas, as the sizes are substantial, and they have a wide range of toppings. My only suggestion that I could make is for them to make better initial cuts of the pizza before sending them out, as the size of the slices were uneven when they were delivered to the table.
B. G.
Cosy spot, and great pizza.
A. M.
Huge pizza! Can definitely be shared by two people. Very tasty though and the staff are extremely accommodating.
Nice place that I recommend for a quick bite and a seat in the sun. They used to have a side dish with tenderstem broccoli and I would kill to have it back on the menu
P. B.
Absolutely outstanding food and service even during the height of the Fringe Festival.
Super thin pizza, so light, they look huge but slide down so easily, so much flavour and not over filling.
Tasty fries with a fab addition of cheese and truffle sauce.
A handful of bottled beers available, would like to see a couple of draught options.
You won’t be disappointed!
M. O.
Amazing experience. The food was top top quality and the staff were excellent. The decor and the vibe is really cool and some excellent tunes playing to enhance the experience overall. 10/10 would definitely go again
b. k.
What a surprise. I am from Brooklyn New York. Grew up four blocks from the difara pizza. Had read about this place looked fun. Got a kind of illegal parking spot a and was in a hurry. Nice lively vibe in the restaurant but not too loud. Long shared table. We ordered the cheese steak Pizza. Told them we are in a hurry if possible. Are pizza came out literally in 4 minutes. The steak wasn't chopped up steak. It was slices of real meat. Came out very underdone we asked them to cook it a little more. A minute later we had an amazing dish. The steak was delicious. And that's super hot oven made a great crust. As a real new Yorker and pizza aficionado, having pizza in Edinburgh was a long shot but this was a very clear winner. Thank you for a great dinner. Our only dinner in town
p. m.
had such a lovely experience here, everything me and my pals ate was absolutely delicious and there is a great variety of vegan and vegetarian options too.. our server Isla was so lovely and catered to all our needs, would definitely come again totally worth it
R. L.
My wife and I went here for the first time after I had seen something on line about the 10 best pizza places in Scotland. The pizza was pretty good but we both found the whole thing a bit tasteless. Good size and good value though apart from the Morretti which was at £4.10 for a small can, way overpriced. I am not sure if the fact that the pizzas are not made in a wood fired oven made a difference. Service was very good.
E.
Love the pizzas! The sourdough bases are so crisp and toppings are simple and tasty.
It's no fuss dining with great service, expect paper plates and cracking music. If you don't fancy pizza then the sliced rib-eye is to die for, perhaps with a side of calamari.
We've been down a couple of times for the £10 deal on a Monday/Tuesday, a beer and pizza at this prices is hard to find, definitely worth checking out.
D.
I've rated a few pizza places 5 stars. It's going to take me a while to go back and knock them all down to 4 stars as Civerinos has set a new standard. We had to wait about an hour for a table but this was no problem as there are lots of pubs around. The sourdough pizza was AMAZING and the staff where great.
M. M.
Highly recommended! Excellent value and varied choice of food on the menu! I had the meatballs which were superb! Nieces had delicious pizza and the risotto was outstanding! Great atmosphere and eclectic decor! Much better than pizza Express! Will definitely return! Plus the service was friendly, helpful and attentive!
G. B.
Great food, 'small plates' were amazing, breaded burrata was incredible!
More of a lunch place to me than an evening meal as seating is informal and a little cramped.
M. B.
Pizza was absolutely delicious; best I’ve had in the UK! Staff friendly and chill vibe. Will be back next time I’m in Edinburgh for sure.
J.
Really good pizza that came out very fast. Lovely service from all staff.
Nice wee vibe to the place
t.
Almost a fiver for a takeaway pizza 'getting piggy with it' but in context, compared to many fast food places around the place, the size and quality of this great pizza makes it worth it. Happened upon it by chance but glad I did. Trendy place I'd certainly return to for another slice and a beer.
S. T.
Good food, fast service, lovely staff
J.
Best meal I had in a while, I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Edinburgh.
For two people I would suggest three small plates (the burrata bomb is incredible) and a pizza.
J. K.
My original review was unjustly awful and not at all informative or constructive. Sorry about that. It's been edited.
Atmosphere at this restaurant appeals to a younger crowd; most seating is shoulder to shoulder at long picnic tables. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.
Pizza was honestly not the best I've had, but I've been spoiled by a variety of American pizza. Crust had a good crunch and chew, but the mozzarella and sauce could have handled a bit more seasoning.
P. M. S.
The staff have been especially welcoming and friendly on both visits. The pizza I've eaten is up there with the best in the city. The decor and atmosphere is really nice too, always good music playing but not too loud and the benches make it a little different.
A. N.
Fantastic pizza. Huge and tasty, freshly made and not the usual. Very friendly staff too. Definitely worth going again. (house wine could be improved, if I'm being honest...)
M. R.
It was fine. Got that thick mozzarella (frozen I think) that goes all dense when it cools, not the most fun, kinda pricey for what it is. I mean it's pizza yeah but I don't wanna pay a high price for some "authentic/italian/imported ingredients" etc when it's really just pizza hut but on a smaller scale. Good service and good tunes and stuff. I dunno. Maybe a mean opinion but come on.
L. T.
Best pizza in Edinburgh, hands down. Love this place, the pizzas are incredible and the frozen cocktails are delicious. Gets very busy, but host will take name and number so you can head for a drink elsewhere and you’ll get a call when there’s space. Great service, casual dining with shared benches, would recommend.
A. S.
We don't usually visit the same place twice in a row, but Civerinos offers tasty, freshly prepared food at competitive prices. Very friendly staff, good vegetarian options, what's not to like?
Y. F.
Very nice pizza place right in the center of Edinburgh's most beautiful Street .🍕🤗 …
D.
Top food and atmosphere. Pleasant and helpful staff.
Z. D. J.
Great food at a decent price. Be sure to save room for desert!
P. P.
Amazing food and overall dining experience. They were very busy when we visited but the service was quick and efficient
C. B.
One of the best pizzas around and that comes from someone that grew up in Italy! Very casual and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service and reasonable prices.
A. D.
Great service! This is a very cosy, low-key restaurant, not too fancy or intimidating. Some of the food is served on paper plates, but don’t let that throw you off! The food is delicious and inexpensive for how much they serve you. I have a dairy allergy and they were very accommodating, which is always appreciated.
C. B.
Great dough, well baked. Food in general was fantastic. Relaxed and funky - a mixture of NY cool and Naples authenticity. Highly recommended. Probably worth booking ahead if there are more than 6 of you.
A. D.
Genuinely lovely food and really friendly service.
J. P.
Best PIZZA I've had outside of Italy. A must visit if you're in Edinburgh.
L. A.
Fantastic pizza in huge portions, I've needed a take-home box every time! Buzzy atmosphere, you might have to wait a short while to get seated if you haven't booked, but it's totally worth it.
S. E.
Great food!! Had lots of variety to choose from. The waiters were quite friendly and considerate as there wereabout 20 of us. food came out at steady pace and were huge portions.
Has a good vibe. The music selection was fantastic and very current.
Also Located right in the heart of the city and quite easily accessible by a number of buses.
N. R.
Food is ok but not genuinely Italian. You pay a bit too much for what you get. We ordered some starters which were pretty quick to arrive. Unfortunately after that the staff completely forgot about us and we've waited about 1 hour to get our pizza!!
S. P.
Delicious pizza, served up perfectly for our party of 12 people.
C. L.
Been for the 1st time today with the family and any rating less than 5 stars doesn't know their pizza from a fence post. Atmosphere brilliant and very reasonably priced for the quality. Other pizza places that claim what these guys claim need to take notice!
J. D.
Brilliant pizza! Had the vegan one and the calabrone and they were amazing. Had the caprese salad on the side and words cannot describe how nice it was. Was served by Lewis and he was brilliant and gave a brilliant quality of service. Will definitely come back again!
L. H.
Pretty underwhelming, not worth the price. Much better pizza options across Edinburgh. Ordered the calzone and it felt like I was just eating bread the entire time, hardly any filling. Vegan pizza was dry and doesn't come with vegan cheese
C. K.
In my opinion one of the best pizza places in the city. I usually go there for my birthday because it's ace. There are gluten free options and vegan options YAY! Also the music kicks bum. Love IT.
G. B.
Great place for pasta and some original pizzas. Lovely heritage building given a modern twist. Speedy and friendly staff.
J. L.
We had 3 different Pizzas and each one was fabulous. All the ingredients they used were extremely fresh and clearly made to order. Lastly, the service was exceptional.
M. F.
I’ve ordered vegan pizza from Razzo’s, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Pizza Express - and I nearly gave up hope on vegan pizza in the UK because the cheese was ALWAYS disappointing. But this pizza cheese is seriously good. I’m so pleased with it and relieved to have found a GOOD vegan pizza in this town. They don’t use Violife thank god, their cheese comes from their supplier in a bag labeled vegan mozz. I got the polpette and can’t recommend it high enough for vegan pizza in Edinburgh.
T. D.
When here for an early dinner, absolutely incredible staff, wonderful truffle fries and even better pizzas. Recommend to anyone in the City!
f. o.
We sat outside, not much space but was a nice spot to people watch. Pizza was nice but as I had just came back from Italy I wasn't blown away. Good range on menu. Lovely staff.
m. s.
Great pizza, excellent service. When they made a mistake they immediately offered us a round of drinks. Great atmosphere, a little bit tight for space outside.
j. s.
The pizza was great
And the service was good
M. C.
Nice place with a charming atmosphere. Friendly staff and interesting selection of food.
I had meatballs and porcini... excellent! Tasty and not heavy at all (it's not common in UK to find something like that without kilos of spices, onions and garlic).
Next time in Edinburgh stopping here will be a must.
M. O.
Went in on whim and was not disappointed. Great food, massive portions and great, friendly service despite it being rammed. Get the calamari and you’ll be as happy as I was!
W. C.
Seriously delicious food! Cutlery is placed on the table inside an old tomato tin - so the place has a really lovely rustic feel to it. The tables have benched to sit at - so you need to be able to get your leg over 😁 …
E. S.
Great pizza. The Civerino was fantastic and the rigatoni had a great flavor with some real chili spice. Good service and atmosphere. Just far enough off the Royal mile to not be a tourist trap.
A. F.
Best pizza in Edinburgh! A really great place to unwind and eat pizza. My only criticism is that people were eating their pizza pie with a knife and fork. Pizza is to be eaten with hands, just like they do in Naples!
R. M.
Pizzas were great. Fantastic to see the use of fresh ingredients. The staff were very informative and great help.(Lucy) and the team put up with 15 pre-orders, and everyone had what they ordered and everyone loved it..
Thanks
C. B.
Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the UK! Thin base, tasty ingredients and speedy service. Pretty reasonable price too. Slightly edges out Pizza Union LDN for me :)
J. F.
Great food and vibes!
V. B.
Was slightly annoyed as I was told I could not book tables smaller than 6 but upon arrival was told I could only sit outside. Absolutely fine as luckily it was a nice day but obviously just a bit annoying as I had previously tried to book. However, the pizzas were absolutely delicious and our servers were lovely. Would definitely reccomend to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
A. B.
The staff are helpful and friendly and the pizza is the best I've had in years. My daughter had the vegan pizza and gave it a big thumbs up. Well worth a visit
A. J.
In this world of chain restaurants it’s a breath of fresh air to find an Independant restaurant that serves simple but very tasty Italian food. It has an almost Cuban feel with simple but quality bench style seating & rustic decor. There is a good vegetarian choice with a good mix of ingredients. Brilliant overall & well worth seeking out for its individuality.
J. H.
Civerinos has caused me serious problems, every time I try to decide where to eat in Edinburgh it always rises to the top of the list and doesn't budge.
Massive, delicious pizzas, reasonable price for the sheer amount of pizza you get, and super friendly, but not overbearing, staff.
Drinks menu is another strong point, full range of San Pellegrino if you like your juice fancy, the barrel aged negronis are my tipple of choice and they're a smash. The massive ice cube you get delights me every time. Not tried the slushies, but hoping to soon, they look amazing.
Literally nothing negative to say. Even the bread sticks are great.
D.
such great food, vibes and service. really enjoyed the flavours and the portions (they’re pretty big) so order with caution. the seating area is so fun and i enjoyed the atmosphere very much.
A. M.
One of the best pizzas in Edinburgh (the competition is poor) although Paisano pizza Glasgow is better quality and nearly half the price. They will need to up their game if Paisano comes here. Good service but didn't really enjoy having several waiting staff standing right next to us.
J. E.
Always glad to get a seat and a pizza. Some of the best Italian pizza in the capital and really enjoyed the recent facelift.
A. O.
Good pizza and a good size. The staff are friendly and helpful. The seating is limited and the place can get pretty busy so be prepared to wait a bit.
T. P.
Food was mediocre, service was questionable based on how we were taken care of . Size of my husbands cocktail was visibly smaller than the person next to us
K. M.
Five star service! Amazing place and so welcoming too.
S. N.
Great location, great ambience with loud music and a bright setting. Indoor and outdoor seating. The food was very delicious. Great flavours and substantial portions. Recommend for lunch and an end of the day meal.
D. J.
Excellent experience would highly recommend manager Maggie nothing too much trouble so friendly and professional food scrumptious..try meatballs for starters wow ... looking forward to going back thu
S. A.
Staff were brilliant but food was average, was expecting something a bit better for the price. Tables were also very close together which felt a bit uncomfortable.
C. D.
Excellent pizza and at a reasonable price. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Plenty of veggie options. Rocket / butternut squash / leek / honey a particular favourite!
S. L.
These guys are awesome and make fantastic pizzas, what’s more they made my lockdown period bearable with their DIY pizza kit. If you own a pizza oven then this genius idea is the way to go, fantastic fresh dough and ingredients to your door at a very reasonable price. You rock Civerinos
G. O.
The best (and only) New York style pizza in Edinburgh! If you love pizza, if you're in Edinburgh you just have to come here.
D. B.
Pasta is really good and tasty but pizza was a huge dissapointment. It was way too greasy and oily, crust was overbaked and really hard to cut. Service was quite good and fast, place is clean and nicely decorated.
G. M.
Been here before, still great. Staff amazing.
S. w.
Best. Pizza. In. Edinburgh.
I've never had anything as crispy as the crust, as sweet yet savory as the sauce, all ingredients amazing and cooked to a science.
If you are anywhere near Civerinos, or Edinburgh, please go and have a slice.
T. D.
Wonderful service and were able to accommodate us even though we were an hour early. Food was amazing... Look to returning if we are in the area again... Please expand into London
J. J.
Beautiful pizza, hubby had traditional Quattro, I went for bianco with figs, both very tasty. Only fly in ointment was rose wine I had with my lunch - not only quality was mediocre, but was served in funny glass which had suspicious coffee? cola? dark marks around rim. Please, wash your glasses properly, rinse just isn't enough!!!
S. H.
We went here as a large group (12 of us) and the staff were amazing! We had a long table all to ourselves, our waiter gave us excellent advice on the menu and everything was super delicious! Highly recommended!!
L. G.
The pizza 🍕 is quite good but the place is SO small, actually too small! Reply: I can design you a better way to arrange table smarty pants! No problem at all!! …
M.
Amazing food and customer service
T. E.
Great food, great service and great music
E. J.
Great Pizza, relaxed Atmosphere, value for money.
The only down site for me was the paperplates which get used in the Restaurant. I can See the advantage of it but i was suprised that our food was then served on normal plates. Maybe the Paper plates can be changed to bamboo Single use plates
I. C.
Best pizza in Edinburgh. Actually, their pasta is really good too. Best Italian in Edinburgh. Casual, cosy atmosphere with friendly staff. On a warm day, try the alcoholic slushies.
C. K.
The food here was absolutely amazing and the service was brilliant. Definitely recommend others dine here!
T. W.
One of the better pizza's in Edinburgh. Excellent dough and balance of cheese and sauce! Plus just enough herbs and spices for flavour
r. s.
Delicious food! Went with a group of 7, got 2 pizzas, 3 meatballs and 2 fries. Was more than enough and so tasty! Right in city centre too. Highly recommend.
R. S.
An in your face restaurant with a great decor, atmosphere, food and selection of cocktails. Prices are well affordable as well, despite its central location.
C. M.
Great pizzas, had a whole one to myself but had to admit defeat before the final slice! There is also an option for a single slice, which looked huge. Busy, buzzy place, no booking - just have to turn up and squeeze in.
E. J.
Pizzas and atmosphere was excellent. Also the staff was very friendly and efficient, we highly recommend this place. Good place/price to have a dinner.
J. N.
Really tasty pizza and pasta! Not amazing wine but that was expected for the size/price! Very yummy food and really nice staff!
A. C. O.
The pizza was better than expected. The pasta was unseasoned and not hot for some reason. The service is quite nice and the waiters are quite friendly
B. L.
Great place. Pizza and chips does 2 people. Food all tasted really amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
C. B.
Stopped here for a bit of lunch, really clean, cool decor and the pizza is amazing, lovley thin base with a delicious snap. Really fresh ingredients too
S. B.
Great food! Great service! Absolutely cannot fault this place or any Civerinos venues. Always leave extremely satisfied and always excited to come back. 100% go there.
L. P.
Serving Italian street food, Civerinos is the perfect spot for some casual dining with friends. The tables are large and you pick a couple of small plates for everyone to tuck in and enjoy. Highlights are definitely the arancini or the meatballs. Then either get a large pizza, made of sharing, or a portion of pasta to yourself.
The pizzas are delicious, a favourable and crisp base with fresh, tasty toppings. You can also get selected ones for just a slice.
Given the location, prices are reasonable, especially for the size of pizza.
H. S. B.
Really loved the atmosphere and the pizza was great. Super friendly and attentive staff - I'd recommend the Arancini balls to start. Please open up in London!!
V. C.
Great pizza, good ambiance and very good service... we tried the Civerinos pizza and was really good, also tried the meatballs and they were fantastic... very good value and helpful staff.
s. d.
Popular place on hunters square, did not give 5 stars no fresh garlic or basil on my pizza. Decent quality and service .
L. T.
Probably the most decent pizza I've eaten out of Italy, with italian ingredients. The place is particularly recommended for young groups, with good music but not too loud.
R. H.
Great place, went above and beyond when our pizzas didn’t arrive at the same time for our mains and willingly took items off the bill for “the inconvenience”. Wonderful gesture to make and all done at the volition of the manager on duty
J. E.
My girlfriend and I love this place. There is so much personality to the food, staff, and main room. Perfect Italian pizza and some delicious sides/starters.
J. S.
Fantastic pizza, great service and good location. They are very happy for you to take any pizza you didn't eat away with you. In fact they encourage it!
S. A.
The best Italian Food in town!!!
Mushroom for starters it's one of the best dishes I'm telling you..!!! Meatballs were good as well just too much sauce!!!
S. C.
Shame that a place that is so concerned with appealing to the younger generation isn’t more environmentally conscious. Single use paper plates and serving drinks with straws in cans rather than just glasses are things easily improved on that are contributing so much waste to the environment. Food is great tho.
D. H.
Really good pizza with a Scottish twist. The "Civerino" pizza in particular was delicious. Arancini were good but rice was a bit soft. It's a small place with bench seating (not individual tables). Bathrooms are in the basement.
K. v. R.
The dishes served here are huge and often way too much for a single person, so you better prepare to share something. The prices are fair considering the size, but the taste is often nothing special
C. G.
Reasonable priced large pizzas. Perfect for sharing with friends. Everything tasted great, but I especially recommend the cheese steak pizza!
C.
Amazing pizza. Huge portions and they have take away boxes if you don't manage to eat it all
D. R.
Was actually surprised how good the pizza and sharing meats platter was. Would recommend to anyone passing by. Staff were great
C. M.
Loved it all, especially lovely staff.
C. E.
Thin and crispy yummy pizza! Very coszy and young atmosphere. We didn't expect to be this delicious, but worth to try it.
S. S.
One of the tastiest pizzas I ever had. Pasta was great too. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
G. W.
Very good.
The meatballs were great, the focaccia was perfect. The portions were on the big side of the right size.
D. S.
Great quality of food and drink
C. M.
Great service, super efficient, good atmosphere and most importantly...fantastic pizza!
G. C.
I have been here twice. The place is nice, I don't think they are real Italians, but the antipasti were really really good (especially the Calamari) and the pizza was tasty and pretty big too. Suggested
A. N.
Delicious pizza. Very good crust!
O. S.
Really tasty pizza and great milkshakes, pleasant service too. Social distancing perhaps isn't the best but with masks this isn't too much of an issue.
N. L.
4 cheese truffle shuffle pizza is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The pasta is awesome, too.
C. B.
Top pizza, now tried three of there locations and all spot on
J. W.
We visited in the evening as a group of 4. We had to wait around 30 minutes for a table. The pizza was really good, and the staff were attentive and friendly.
C. C.
One of the best pizzas we ever tasted. Real Italian. Huge portions. Excellent value and service.
w. b.
Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. I have visited Civerinos on both of my most recent visits to Edinburgh and neither time was I disappointed, the pizza was fantastic and well priced.
S. M.
Excellent excellent food and great staff!
D. M.
Good food, drink a bit expensive
A. N.
Very unexpected, being next to our hotel and great location in the middle of the city. I was expecting expensive measly portions, but was pleasantly surprised. Staff friendly and approachable, food hearty and reasonably priced. Glad we went in!
A. D.
Ordered a doughityourself for 4 and kept the kids entertained but defo prefer the slices served in Civerinos so looking forward to ordering for delivery on our next pizza night!
A. B.
Service, food and drinks that will leave you feeling satisfied. I can't say enough about how good this place was.
Note...Just remember to under order as the portions are..........Well Italian.
Y.
Incredible; the place looks unreal and the food and the staff made my night 🌙 abso belter of a place! A must if you're in Edinburgh! …
R. S.
Good pizza, friendly staff, good atmosphere and prices weren't ridiculous. Would definitely go back again
L. R.
High quality pizza and pasta. Good selection of Italian beer and wine. Good service and reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone.
R. M.
Excellent pizza, tasty sides and smaller plates too but if you like traditional sourdough pizza and youre in edinburgh this is a great place for a lunchtime bite... or evening meal... or afternoon snack.
T. M.
Acceptable food, but far away from what I consider a great Italian restaurant. Risotto was tasteless and Carbonara was lacking salt and pepper and was drowning in olive oil. It’s ok I guess.
J. P.
Stated in Edinburgh 3 days and ate here 3 times. The meat and cheese plate is the best, the pizza is incredible. Caprese salad is the best and even the burrata salad is great
N. K.
Delicious pizza! Very cute interiors but the patio would probably be great to sit at once the summer is here.
I. B.
Tasty pizza toppings on fantastic dough! The outdoor furniture is functional, but not inviting to a long italian dinner evening.
S. S.
Funky decor, nice food
J. S. M.
Draconian seating arrangements (was told I couldn't sit next to my 8 Year old daughter but across from her. We were the 4th and 5th customers in the restaurant. The waitresses to ask her supervisor... I said ridiculous and and sat next to my daughter because shes 8 and she asked.) The price of the slice was on point, but £2.50+ for a San Pellegrino and a coca-cola.... insane. I was confused... is this Italian via Naples or New York style pizzeria? Yes, I've eaten in both places and Naples hasn't he only real pizza in the world in my opinion. Suffice to say, it was the first and last time I'll eat here. Ciao. Arrivaderci. Ci Vediamo.
J. M.
Amazing! The Civeronos pizza was to die for as well as the meatball starter.
R. H.
Pizza here is so good, loved the atmosphere at the fringe and the aperol slushi was great! Reasonably priced too
S. E.
Great service and great food.
L. M.
Simple Italian menu with rustic vibes very hipster cool trendy restaurant with amazing food and great atmosphere! Must visit for great pizza and pasta in a casual setting.
A. F.
The best pizza... and delicious desserts! The staff is cool and fun, fast service, big portions- I recommend!
M. F.
Great food and really generous portions. Staff are really helpful and there's a great selection of food for all dietary requirements.
G. M.
Trendy pizzeria just off the royal mile with authentic piazzas, good service and friendly staff. Good place for a drink too.
J. B.
Delicious pizza and great service. The vibe here is amazing and wish we discovered it earlier than our last night in Edinburgh!
S. J.
Excellent food. Very nice staff. Thanks
M.
Best pizza place in Edinburgh hands down and no competition! Staff are great, food is great the only down side is you need to leave!
M. C.
Food was nice although I would have preferred a normal plate rather than a paper one which soaked through after putting all my sauces on. Overall a nice eatery.
D. N.
Yummmm best pizza in town ..
A.
Great quality pizza for super cheap, they sell it in slices (which are as big as pizza itself), friendly staff, good location. Fabulous.
S. D.
Good fun atmosphere, they need to get some wine glasses as it isn't the same drinking out of a tumbler
M. R.
Pizza is pretty good, probably as good as anywhere else but a little more expensive. They have an excellent marketing campaign but that's the only excellent aspect. The rest is good.
A. H.
One of the best well priced lunch or dinner options in Edinburgh. Their individual slices are amazing value and very tasty!
H. P.
First time we've been certainly won't be the last ,our server Maggie was lovely and helpful 😀 …
L. W.
Great Italian street food. Pizza are amazing. But unfortunately coeliac's can only gave gluten free pasta.
a. m.
Delicious with prompt service and quality Italian food
R. H.
Sat eating easily one of the best pizzas Ive ever had here. Great staff and incredible food
I. M. F.
The coolest place, loveliest staff, best pizza in Edinburgh. A winning experience that keeps us coming back!
R. S.
Looking for pizza? Go here. Food is awesome, but also, the people are really nice. Can be busy though, so you might need to wait.
L. S.
Best pizza! Order the one with the meatballs! It is amazing!
D. D.
Delicious pizza, great ingredients, nice atmosphere and wicked staff.
S. V.
Best pizza ever! Will definitely come back when I visit again. I NEED that crust recipe haha.
H. R.
Really delicious and generous pizzas. Try their slushy amaretto if available. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
B. C.
Good.
- 1 star because we've been told at the start of the meal that the eat out help out scheme was still on, to be told at the end of the meal it wasn't available
B. M.
Food, service, everything.... whats not to like!!! Was recommended by a waiter in another restaurant that was full.... and my god thanks for that!!! Wish i was in Edinburgh more often so I could eat here more often
C. E.
My husband and I went here and loved it. We got the olives and pizza and the dessert. The frozen rose was bomb too!!
C. R.
Fantastic place for pizza in Edinburgh! Great food and drink selection as well as friendly service and a fun atmosphere.
P. C.
Good food, amazing staff, just the music is not very calming.
R. S.
Great food……service was a bit slow
S. M.
Yes, can't comment on anything beyond the pepperoni pizza but it was very good.
Q. L.
The food is good value but pesto was very greasy. Pizza is definitely the way to go here
O. W.
Best pizza in Edinburgh! What more is there to say. Great selection of sides and pasta too
J.
Great service, location and fabulous pizza and beer.
D. M.
Excellent pizza, friendly staff. Kid friendly. Great option just off the royal mile
S. E.
We wandered off the Royal Mile looking for a better value outside the heavy tourist area. Civerino's exceeded our expectations with excellent pizza and pastas.
S. O.
Great pizza and pasta, including vegan. Good music and very buzzy. Shared tables
R. B.
Great pizza. We've eaten-in and done take-away and both were wonderful.
J. H.
Great pizzas and very attentive service, even in a busy period.
T. M. H.
This is the best pizza in Edinburgh. Often good for a late-ish night dinner and the service is great
B. S.
Food was great. Went for christmas night out and there was plenty of food, great options and staff were really helpful and friendly.
J. E.
Cracking pizza, but the rest of the menu is also surprisingly good. Friendly service. Highly recommended.
R. B.
Pizzas are large but light enough that they won't annihilate you for the rest of the day walking around the city.
M. C.
Excellent sourdough pizza, the portions are on the large side but a they are excellent quality.
A. K.
The pizza and Nutella calzone has from another planet! Really really tasty and totally recommended!
S. L.
Great venue, simple menu, quirky setting and staff and definitely one for the gram!
E. X.
Great food, dog friendly amazing stuff! Will come back 😌
L. H.
Really warm and friendly service, and fantastic food, especially the desserts!! Thank you for amending a dish to suit my pernickty tastes!
A. S.
Great service and wonderful food options
S. M.
Awesome pizza washed down with a nice cold beer. I had the civerinos pizza and it didn't disappoint.
I'll definitely be back.
D. D.
Food was really good, service was fantastic. They were very accommodating of a dairy allergy.
J. B.
Good pizza - thin tasty base, simple but effective toppings. Rather expensive but not for the location
D. R.
Excellent service as always! was to full for dessert but I'll be back soon to make up for it! Love this place!!!!
D. B.
Delicious pizza for a reasonable price! Just off the royal mile so the location is amazing.
A. R.
Damn good pizza's, unusual flavours and calm, relaxed waiting staff!
C. F.
Really cool place. Great pizza, great chips. We'll definately be back
J. W.
Good portion sizes for Pasta's and the Pizza. Quality food and good service.
A. M. A.
Amazing Pizza & Bruschetta!
K. D.
Great atmosphere, great pizza, very welcome after long day.
W. M.
