Reviews of Divino Enoteca Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar
T. M.
Cosy spot that I’m shocked I haven’t found earlier since living here so long. We did a few tasting flights & the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable (even after pouring like 20 glasses of different wine!!). Will go back for some full size glasses & food!
T. E.
Excellent food - very flavoursome. Very comprehensive wine list, which the sommelier talked us through, gleefully.
E. J.
Very pleasant meal with my partner on our last night in Edinburgh. Fantastic selection of wines. We skipped main courses and simply opted for the cheese salato, the meat salato, bread basket, olives and shared a cocktail and affogato for dessert.
The service was fantastic - the cheeseboard and meatboard were explained to us, and the order of tasting recommended. We happily obliged and thoroughly enjoyed the homemade bread, balsamic vinegar & oil.
Our dessert was our favourite - the espresso martini was the best espresso martini we've ever tasted, and we don't say that lightly!! The affogato was also to die for - gelato rolled in meringue pieces, doused in fine coffee. Yum. Would definitely return.

The space and the atmosphere were quite nice and the food was good although quite expensive for what it was. The reason for the 3 stars is that they put a recommended tip in the bill of 10 pounds which mentioned that it was completely optional and when they came for us to pay, they had already included the suggested tip without asking us first, which was rude. Also, we asked for two glasses of wine and they opted to bring us the larger size without asking us what size we would like in order to charge us more. Both these incidents affected negatively our experience.

They live up to their name. The cocktails, the food, the wine, the atmosphere… divine. Thanks to Fred, Pedro and the gang for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Stop reading this and make a reservation immediately. You should go. We will be back!!!
N. O.
All I can say is “wow.” The food was perfectly prepared and the service was stellar. The hazelnut cake borders on orgasmic…. At least that is what my girlfriend said. A very nice place for a romantic dinner in old town.
E. R. D.
Awesome food and ambience. 👌👌 Best Italian food in town
j. h.
A wonderful and beautiful discovery. Enthusiastic and friendly staff. Fabulous food. All served with a crazy Italian vibe that added to the wondrous enjoyment. A must!
F. 1.
Disappointing meal at what was one of our favourite restaurant. Three tiny strips of squid in a mountain of pasta. No garnish or any vegetables or sauce so a very dull meal. The octopus starter had far more fish than the main. Expensive for what I had.
S. C. G.
One of the best wine and dine experience's available in Edinburgh, with a superb staff with excellent knowledge of wine. Be it on a date or just exploring the culture of wine, it's always an amazing visit
T. M.
Excellent wine bar in Edinburgh. With such a large selection of wines I would recommend one of their flights to try before settling on just one. Still can't decide? Just ask any of the knowledgeable staff to find the best wine for you.

Great restaurant and food. Service (by Agnes) was prompt, friendly but professional. Will come every time I visit Edinburgh now :)
R. H.
Such a beautiful and cozy place!! Perfect choice for a romantic/anniversary dinners😍 the staff are so nice and helpful as well. We had a great experience.
The food is delicious, it comes in really big portions, worth every penny!
F. M.
Great wine bar, excellent service, wide range of wines, from all around the world.
Excellent food, though limited options. If interested more in food, you could still go to the restaurant upstairs. Sometimes with live music. Surely no disappointment!
C. H.
Was on holiday with 3 others. Had a wonderful experience, staff was friendly, food was excellent and the ambiance was perfect!! The perfect, dark, candle lit experience with a live string band. It was absolutely amazing!!
Only suggestion would be to add Italian sun dried tomatoes to their ingredient list :)
S. A.
It’s my second time here and simply adore the atmosphere here. Amazing selection of wine and the food are very artesanal and tasty! People very friendly and with excellent customer service!!!
L. D.
Nice restaurant and good food, we ordered prawns as a starter and pasta, and everything was great. We went with a kid and a baby, they prepared a table for us, however I had appreciated some help with the stroller in the stairs
C. H.
Great Italian restaurant with perfect steaks. Cheaper (sister) restaurant is on upper levels, but we enjoyed the intimacy and careful service of the more upmarket Divino in, what felt like, a little secluded corner of Italy. Great wine list many of which could be ordered by the glass. Definitely recommended for a cosy dinner for two.
P. S.
Big shout for the manager ( James if i remember correctly). Professional and friendly took in our merry bunch and magically made a table for us in place packed up to rafters.
For a first time in the UK we got served vodka that was actually cold ( we drank shots) and we enjoyed it Russian way.Wine and food followe.
Well done guys.
S. T.
Sublime experience for our anniversary. Exceptional bespoke service throughout we were welcomed and offered a drink at the bar before being sat in the restaurant. We felt like we were on a 1:1 dining experience with the Cuban waiter who knew the menu like the back of his hand. Cocktails were exceptional, the house special ravioli was to die for and the pasta main dishes really hit the spot. Our favourite Italian of all time and we eat in nice restaurants a lot! Bellisimmo!
z. h.
The most exquisite food & wine, very attentive friendly staff who’s knowledge of the food and wine that they serve is phenomenal. The intimate setting creates a relaxing, romantic atmosphere. Would certainly return, particularly for the Ragu & Panna Cotta.
B. D.
The food was ok but not very good. Out of 3 bottles of wine we drank, all 3 were not very good. The tiramisu was bad.
The staff was very friendly.
j. r.
What can we say , the welcome here was warm and friendly, the ambiance is romantic and very Italian with old wine bottles and bare brickwork everywhere.
We were given olives to enjoy at our table which had a candle and had water to drink freely. We weren't rushed at all. We were given the wine we ordered and our starters which were frighteningly good, ravioli and mixed breads with oil and balsamic.
Mains of beef cheek and another of carbonara both perfect in every aspect.
Dessert was amazing of course hazelnut torte and another of tiramisu with coffee. The whole meal left us satisfied but not feeling over bloated, and we have booked again for tomorrow it's that good.
G.
Came here for drinks - if we wanted food we would have needed to book. Had a wine and bubble flight - tasty and well priced. Toilets are a mile away from the bar area! Conservatory bit where we were was night and light but the restaurant was a bit dark.
S.
Lovely wine flight and cheese tasting experience. The customer service is very attentive, and the table snacks/olives gratis really make the experience. It is appropriately priced given the high end nature, you get what you pay for. Though the music can be slightly varied and overbearing, the food and wines were top class.
L. D.
We choose this restaurant as our wedding venue. By far the best service and tasteful food in the whole country(we are talking about entire UK) . Please do visit and leave enough tip as all the people in here are more then worth it. We've been to Michelin star restaurants and we haven't had as good of a service as we found here, so trust us it is definitely worth it. All our love goes towards people who make this happen, Laura & Esa

We had a large family party there on Saturday. Dinner in the private dining area.
Food was great. Service was great. Could not be faulted. Would recommend .
Brilliant.
M.
Went here with a group of colleagues (some had been 3 times in a week!) and was surprised just how good the food, ambience and service was. Highly recommend to anyone in the area! If you like to share I’d recommend the antipasto for 2 or 3 people
R. P.
Lovely food, large selection of wine, and brilliant service from the staff. Would recommend trying.
M. F.
Best aubergine parmigiana ever!
It's a bit on the pricey end but worth every penny.
a. w.
Excellent food and service by knowledgeable staff would recommend unreservedly.
B. O. S.
Perfect food, perfect wine. Definely the restaurant with the most romantic atmosphere!
t. b.
Flight of wine was good price and well explained! Nice overall atmosphere and glad we visited
t. i.
Staff are so lovely , wine is amazing can't rate this place more ! 5 stars
A. H.
One word - staff. They are so welcoming and friendly. Wednesdays are our favourite evening as they have a fabulous jazz band. Unfortunately the cichetti menu is no longer available.
A. M.
Lovely ambience and service, second visit, sorry to say but food was not on the same level as last time, it was okay! Not enough sauce in mussels, and pasta was average, could be amazing
C. B.
Gorgeous selection of mostly Italian wines, small but great quality for international wines and any have there own authentic taste. There are members of the staff been well trained for the wine requirements. Prices are correctly selected and not too expensive, as well for the tasty food, perfectly prepared. There are two menus options a la carte and regional menu. The atmosphere of the place make you feel in the past.
I recommend this particular place to anyone who loves to discover wine and great taste of Italy.
c. h.
Great staff, great wine, good food
T. S.
We had high expectations of the food at Divino after reading the menu and the reviews online, however, we were disappointed by our food experience overall. The flavours of starters and mains were not deep and layered enough and the textures weren't really right. The best part of our meal was the profiteroles as those were delicious. The atmosphere was nice and the wine very good but our waitress made a couple of mistakes with order and bill and was reluctant to take responsibility before finally rectifying things. We were also given the two small end slices of a shop-bought gluten-free loaf as paying gluten-free side bread. Overall a slightly disappointing experience.
S. M.
Found this place through google, looked nice and was far better than I was expecting. Classy restaurant and top notch food. I had two specials, both were amazing. Great wine selection and helpful staff. Was visiting from out of town and staff offered some suggestions on things to see. Great night. Best food we had in Edinburgh.
S. B.
While looking at the menu online we thought we’d have more options, but noticed half of them weren’t available (most likely available for lunch, but not dinner).
Unfortunately we thought from the reviews that there would be a kids menu as well, but there wasn’t. Luckily our server was very accommodating and recommended pasta for our 10 year old. She loved her meal, but it was just a little too large for her to finish. She did have dessert (surprise!) and loved the profiteroles.
My vegetarian meal was good, but not great, as nuts overpowered the spaghetti Nero, but the prawns and peppers or chilis in it were excellent. My husband loved his meal. The wine we ordered was superb as well.
I should mention we were given water to start and our servers made sure that our glasses never became empty, which was very much appreciated.
Overall, we were happy with everything, it’s just a bit overpriced, and it would have been helpful to have a children’s menu.
R. B.
Food delicious staff friendly.
The only gripe I would have is when at a wedding reception I had the beef it was really tasty but too much of the same thing it would be better with half the beef a small portion of mash and a veg.but still a 5 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and would still recommend a visit 👍
c.
Very nice place, good food (small portions)
S. P.
Authentic italian wine restaurant, with medium-high quality food and nice staff. You can charge your wine card and "play" with dispensers for an interactive wine tasting - Covid restriction don't permit this at the moment- and chill out with live Jazz concert every Week! Ask for the private room to have a different experience, surrounded by bottles of great wine and treated as a VIP!
L. M.
They did offer vegan starter and main course for me. Lots of high quality food and drink. Not a cheap night out but the diners are paying for the high end market
R. P.
Absolutely fabulous place the staff from the moment we arrived to leaving could not do enough the food wine and atmosphere amazing. THIS RESTAURANT IS A DEFINITE PLACE TO VISIT WHILST IN EDINBURGH once again big thank you to staff and chefs. It was my partners birthday the day before and we could not of wished for a better place to celebrate it. AWESOME VENUE x
J. B.
Had the most amazing meal in this restaurant. Celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Would highly recommend but book in advance to avoid disappointment.
K. M.
Seriously exceeded expectations. The venue itself was cozy and interesting, the service was exceptional without being over the top (was even asked if I needed a taxi at the end of the meal), and the pasta was very fresh and skillfully done. I had a cuttlefish and cod black ink ravioli with just the right amount of garlic and chili, it was glorious. Would definitely go back for special occasions; during my booking I noted my wife's birthday and they responded by giving us the best table in the restaurant with some really nice complimentary desserts at the end. Quality really shows at this place.
T. W.
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner for two at this wonderful restaurant. All the staff are welcoming and passionate about their work. In particular, our waiter Miguel was happy to discuss the dishes with us and provided effortless friendly and professional service, and the sommelier gave honest and friendly advice - not intimidating at all for two people new to wine appreciation! Although the restaurant is formal in appearance, the atmosphere is relaxed and is really part of a conversation between staff and customers about the enjoyment of great food and wine.
D. T.
Sat in the 'Enoteca' part of the restaurant which is dubbed as the less fancy more relaxed bit but in reality seemed the nicest bit. However you will need to take quite a walk up two flights of stairs (or lift) to the toilet. Decor and atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly and attentive. The main dishes we had were tasty. Olives were a bit disappointing though and the wine tasting flight felt overpriced for fairly average wine. The by-the-glass wine menu is however great so I'd recommend you have 2-3 small glasses of wine that you know you'll like, or at the waiter's recommendation.
J. B.
Not your traditional Italian restaurant, but that's okay. I had a tomato/cruton starter, some delicious lamb, followed by creme brulee (which was okay) and coffee. Great wine selection and wonderful and attentive service. I think I'd go again, but wasn't blown away by the experience. We were there as part of a large group ordering from a restricted menu in advance, so would definitely take this into account when reading this review.
T. F.
This Italian restaurant was excellent. It offered the finest Italian cuisine I had ever eaten in the UK, directly comparable with a good restaurant in Tuscany. The waiters are very friendly and suggested the appropriate wine for the cotoleta I had. The rooms are all underground, so there is no sunlight, but we did not miss it.
M. D.
Two words: wine machine. What a fantastic little invention. Top up your card at the bar and try a huge selection of world wines at your leisure. Maybe a bit gimmicky for some but SUCH FUN. Food wise, this place is amazing - I'm sorry to say but it's sister restaurant pales in comparison. I recommend the veal...
T. M.
Food was amazing, staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Wine selection was exceptional too.
We had a bit of a delay between arriving and having a drinks order taken, though after that the service was top notch. Portions could have been a bit bigger - the food was so good that I found myself disappointed when I'd finished and could've definitely managed a bit more.
P. N.
Excellent service, nice selection of wines complementing the meal. Had a nice, relaxing dinner and enjoyed the experience.
C. H.
Overall, Divino is a first rate wine bar. It's an absolute gem - the wine flights are fun to try and reasonably priced for the opportunity to try a range of wines. The bar area is very stylish and well laid out with the huge wine dispenser on display in the centre. The staff didn't explain the wines but luckily there was a cute little card that they sat on with all the information you needed to pretend to know what you were doing!
I don't think however that the food is quite up to the standard it should be. We did eat there about 4 months ago and were quite disappointed by the selection and quality. Last night I only had a couple of bar snacks and, while the food was nice it was missing that little bit to make it great, which really wouldn't be hard with a plate of bresaola and some mushroom pate!
Some high quality nibbling platters would be great to have with the wines with lovely Italian antipasto, olives, calamari, sardines perhaps... yum!
Don't get me wrong. I'll go back. I'll go back quite soon, but it will only be for lots of wine and a great night chatting in the bar.
D. O.
Fabulous restaurant, started with a wine tasting covering four Italian wines, very expertly done with great humour. Meal was first class, as we were a large group, this was several plates of meats and cheeses to start with, and then main course and desert.
Although not tried by our group, loved the concept of the wine by pre paid card, where wines of all vintages and qualities are served from small to large measures, price depending on size and quality of serving.
Will definetly return.
S. J.
Amazing service from the knowledgeable staff at Vivinos last night.
I was there with my family and from the outset we were made welcome and comfortable.
The wine selection is fantastic and the advice of your ideal wine is expertly guided by the experienced sommelier.
All of us enjoyed our meal and wouldn't hesitate to return, very soon I hope!
M. J.
Fancy location in a fancy cellar setup. Nice service and cosy for sure. However the meals were just not that amazing. An nduja and anchovy pasta that was utterly drowned by spice to the extent you could taste nothing else. And other pastas at the table were acceptable but just not worth the money being asked. They need to work on depth and breadth of flavour more and novelty pasta shape less.
C. D.
Lovely restaurant but I just wished the staff put their masks over their faces properly. Most of them had their masks under their noses the whole evening, rendering them completely pointless. The law is very CLEAR. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.
M. W.
We had our Christmas lunch here and it was fabulous! They took great care of us and let us take over the bar during the cocktail class. We had some delicious food, some fabulous wine and a good time was had by all! We will be back again soon.
l. s.
Amazing food, lovely cocktails and wine, great service, not cheap but a real treat
J. P.
Such a fantastic dining experience! Our waiter Toby had a remarkable knowledge of Italian wines and guided us through a fabulous evening. We had 3 nights in Edinburgh and ate here twice. If you like Italian food and wine, look no further.
M. C.
A bit underwhelming, food was average but staff were lovely and attentive. Been to many Italian restaurants in my time and this was easily the poorest in terms of price to quality of food. The starter was bland and my wife's main course was tasteless. Bit of a shame as this restaurant was highly recommended but sadly didn't deliver.
K. C.
Not enough stars to write a review!!! Absolutely beautiful place, very, very knowledgeable staff and some of the best wines I've tried. Very highly recommended for a nice night out whether it's a girly catch up or family dinner! Definitely coming back!!!
P. B.
Divino Enoteca is a really good Italian restaurant for a fancier night out. It really hits the mark with its food, giving excellent portions of lovely Italian dishes. I always leave, feeling really satisfied and well looked after. The restaurant itself is very well laid out with space for larger groups as well as romantic tables for couples. Theres even a cosy conservatory room at the back which we have not used yet but looks great for groups. Often there is live music played in the restaurant which was incredible when we managed to time our visit right for that. One of my two favourite Italian restaurants in Edinburgh.
D. W.
Great place for a meal. Felt like you were having a meal in Italy. Cost was a bit on the high side but great food and service. You do need to book. If you miss your booking then they will charge you a missed booking fee.
B. D.
Amazing food, bad service.
We waited for 10 min at the table and no one came to clean it nor bring menus. After ordering, the starter arrived while we still didn’t get the wine. We had to ask for it again. Very not attentive service. That’s a shame given the quality of the food, the pasta were delicious.
N. M.
I love this restaurant. Great Italian food with a stunning wine list. Only 4* as it is a bit on the expensive side so not somewhere to come evry week but if you want a nice romantic dinner for two then this is a great choice.
R. F.
Everything was excellent the service was amazing, their cocktails were so good and the food was just perfect.
Definitely coming back
N. M.
My wife's favourite restaurant! Ask for Silvio's advice. Fab real real Italian food. This is a vinoteca. They have a superb wine tasting machine from which you can sample some of the very best of Italy. It's a bit expensive but worth every penny for a special night out. Enjoy.
H. W.
We liked everything. We even loved the cutlery. The ambience was, to my mind, suitable for any kind of group, no intrusive music or garish lighting. The staff were knowledgeable and accomplished. And on top of all of that, the food was glorious! Don't think I've ever written a review like this before. The negative reviews..... Well they must have been very unlucky.
A. S.
What a beautiful restaurant, one of my favourites in Edinburgh. Intimate and cosy with fantastic food and a great selection of wines. The service is attentive yet unobtrusive, and the vibe inside is elegant but not overstated.
J. W.
We dropped in for a drink on our way back to our hotel. The staff were really friendly, the cocktails were nice and strong. They even provided a bowl of chocolate raisins as a snack for the table. Next time we're in Edinburgh we'll book for dinner!
D. B.
Whenever we are in Edinburgh we eat at Divino (says it all!) at least once with family and friends. The food is superb, the menu varied, with wine by the bottle -- many very reasonably priced -- or by the glass from cruvenet-style taps for a minimum 10£ voucher that can buy multiple glasses. Service and ambiance are top notch but seemingly effortless. It's not unpretentious but still extremely friendly. There are several restaurants in the building so make sure your at the bottom-most at 5 Merchant St., though entry is convenient from the sister restaurant, Vittoria, on George IV Bridge. Reservations recommended.
J. T.
Was initially skeptical due to the close proximity of this restaurant to the tourist center, but that was quickly dispelled. The risotto with Pecorino Romano was one of the best I've tasted. Hats off to our server/sommelier, Silvio, who was exceedingly knowledgeable in wine and food and was helpful and gracious. Would certainly return next time in town.
G. C.
Absolutely amazing! I went there with no expectations but the place is well impressive. From hospitality to food quality everything is spot on. I would highly recommend this place.
S. S.
It was nice. Because we had rescheduled our time slot we sat in a tent which was leaking. A shame for such a place. Food was really nice, waiters helpful. After seeing the leak we went to sit inside. Much better and warm.
L. A.
We had such a lovely meal here. Such a nice place with friendly staff & a fab wine list. Thanks x
J. F.
Best food and wine I’ve had in a long long time. Great service and good atmosphere
H. C.
Excellent staff, food and wine. Lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to returning some day.
A. K.
The food was excellent but the charm, friendliness and efficiency of the staff raise the experience to a higher level. Will return many times.
K. F.
Absolutely excellent choice of menu and brilliant service. Quirky wine tasters too. Not cheap but not your run-of-the-mill Italian restaurant, so expect to pay for quality. Recommended.
G. S.
Absolutely unbelievable food! Service is really good and the atmosphere is nice but the food was genuinely up there with some of the best food I’ve ever had - fresh, tasty, perfect in every way!
P. P.
A very authentic Italian restaurant. All staff are Italian. Excellent wine list. Accommodated our group of 8 easily. Food was fabulous.
M. S.
We was here for a wedding reception only a few of us where there food was excellent and the staff are really friendly and polite Highley recommend this place
L. B.
Great food along with a friendly and accommodating staff. This restaurant makes you feel welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I'm looking forward to a return visit.
M. J.
Staff are friendly AND child friendly. The atmosphere and music is relaxing and happy. Food is delicious. Guaranteed to leave with a smile. Don't leave Edinburgh without enjoying a meal here.
L. G.
Had a delicious meal here. Seems like a great place to visit if you really, really like wine. I don't like wine though but the food was superb.
A. W.
Friendly staff, good food, fine prices. We liked it very much! (For non Italian pasta-lovers, it’s cooked like in Italy, a little al-dente)
D. M.
An excellent selection of wines and a pleasant menu, although a little expensive the food was very good and the restaurant quite ambient. They also offer different wine tastings session on select nights which are run by the sommelier, great value and very good fun.
L. H.
Excellent food in an amazing building. Hard to find but worth it when you get there. Check out the prices before you commit - but definitely worth it for a social occasion. Staff are very helpful with dietary restrictions.
E. A.
Great wine, great food. Excellent service. 4.5 pounds for water, and "todays special" was a pasta that was 25 f..ng pounds. My bad, should of fast.
L. C.
Delicious food, gorgeous and extensive wine list and some of the best waiting staff we've ever had. Highly recommended for an authentic Italian meal
G. D.
Great wines, not the cheapest, but great quality as is the food and not forgetting the wonderful staff.
A. A.
Great restaurant, very good food and selection of wines. Excellent service! I think booking is preferred, usually quite busy!
T. M.
This was my first time at this restaurant and it won’t be my last. The atmosphere, staff, wine and food were all amazing and nothing could be faulted.
l. p.
excellent food and lovely staff. good wine list
K. S.
If you like your Italian Italian then you have to go here for food at least once. I say at least once because it's not cheap, but oh my it is gooood. So good you will probably want to marry an italian so you eat like this every day. (Just me? Well this is awkward)
I was brought here by a sommelier friend, who calls this his favourite Edinburgh restaurant. Big talk but true talk, it's amazing. I'm not a big pasta fan but I do love Italian food, a contradiction I know but Italy has so much more to offer and Divino shows it at its best. Something for everyone and a special occasion place. You will want to lick your plate and don't get me started on the wines...
H. M.
Very classy (to the point of being a little intimidating at first) wine bar hidden away on a not-as-seedy-as-it-looks backstreet. They have an amazing selection of quality wines by the glass owing to a fancy vacuum system that preserves the wine as it unopened. This system also works on a credit scheme so you can go and help yourself over the evening (provided your giftcard has credit!). They also have a wine flight programme which is great fun - choose 25ml or 50ml tasters to explore the vast wine list. The staff are knowledgable and help to create the atmosphere to transport you to Italy. Added bonus of delicious complimentary aperitvo to accompany your wine. Bring me more olive sticks, stat!
R. D.
Great atmosphere and drinks! Great service too, we were really happy with the fact that they know what they are selling, specially the Spanish guy and one of the Italian bartenders.
C. A. N.
First visit, ambience fantastic, attentive staff, great fabulous food, congrats to staff ad chefs will definately be back. Thank you for a loving evening.
C. P.
It’s Friday night and your mind drifts onto holidays in Italy, with the sun beating down onto your back and plates of antipasti washed down with delicious wine. Ok, so we can’t do much about the sun part, but there is a little bit of Italy hiding in the Old Town; Divino Enoteca. Dark and atmospheric, this is the perfect venue to relax and recharge after a busy week.
If you are a fan of antipasti, Divino Entoeca has amongst the best and freshest Italian produce in Edinburgh. Their platters change regularly depending on the time of year and what the owners have imported, but they are always delicious.
Wine lovers rejoice – there are more than 80 wines available by the glass. State-of-the-art technology allows them to open a bottle of wine and seal it again so that it appears unopened. This gives you exclusive access to some very expensive wines, which when served by the glass, make them so much more affordable.
As well as antipasti, the kitchen produces a range of authentic, Italian pastas and meat dishes, which are equally as impressive as the rest of its produce. I won’t say anything more other than go and enjoy La Dolce Vita at Divino Enoteca soon.
W. G.
My friend and I Stumbled across this little gem on a weekend trip to Edinburgh. Although a busy Saturday night (9pm), we were greeted and welcomed (even with no booking) squeezed in. Food, service and ambience fabulous, we will absolutely be back
B. Z.
Food is absolutely exquisite well worth a visit. Money well spent in my opinion
B. C.
The food is authentic Italian and awesome.
B. Š.
The best Valentines Dinner. Very romantic place. Tasty food, brilliant wine selection and live music. Couldn't be better.
L. Y.
Absolutely stunning restaurant in The heart of Edinburgh. Being very familiar with Italian cuisine this was very nice. Is must go to place for brilliant food and service especially on a vallentines meal👍🏻
W. D.
Grate service. Lovely food and atmosphere. Dishes where amazing lots of flavor. Wine list is the biggest I have seen. Star are spot on
S. M.
A lovely restaurant with lovely staff, service and food. Only a stones throw from the over populated main drag.. Charming and very accommodating.
S. M.
A cosy cellar wine bar and restaurant tucked away into one of Edinburgh's old town vaults.
They have an extensive range of wines available by glass, along with a very friendly and helpful Maitre D which means you can try a wide variety of wines as well as more expensive wines without having to commit to a full bottle.
I have n't eaten here personally, but I believe they offer local, seasonal Italian food as well as private dining.
B. J.
Lovely upmarket Italian food and a fantastic selection of wines, available in taster measures so you can sample before committing to a more substantial amount.
K. B.
Fantastic array of wine. Wonderful atmosphere but haven’t eaten here for a while. Usually go for drinks
I. R.
It was incredibly beautiful. Exquisite food, great wine pairing and our waiter Andreo was so attentive.
M. L.
Great service and tasty food.

(Translated) Good Italian, a little expensive but the food was exquisite, waiters attention very good, fast service, everything very clean, if you are in the area it is advisable to go, if you go to the service on the ground floor you will discover another room below that I think they have it more focused on coffees, ice cream, etc ... and if you keep going down you reach the street under the bridge that crosses the street above, if we continue down the same stairs you will discover a fantastic link a restaurant specialized in wines, the place is beautiful, a very cozy patio, a very attractive meeting room and a spectacular lounge and of course the bar area and very original wine exhibition, the girl who attended us that Spanish was a wonder, nice, professional and super kind ... of 10
