The food was good but not particularly special or notable.
A good meal, but not really something I would go back for.
G. M.Came here for an early dinner on a Thursday night. Very wide ranging, American diner style menu at roughly average city centre prices. I had the New York Deli burger and it was very good (if a tiny greasy). Just over £7 including chips (fries) is reasonable. Service was friendly and attentive. Would recommend
D.Had fish and chips here. Actually I like the taste of this dish. However, I think the salad was not a big portion for me so it was not enough for people who love to have some vegetables with a main course.
M. Y.Nice place and atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was not very good. I think its supposed to be a mix of american and italian but the italian food was terrible. The risotto was very strange and tasted milky. And i lived in italy for 6 months so I know what a proper risotto looks and tastes like. This risotto neither looked or tasted like a proper one. Also we didnt like the pizza very much. Milkshake and hot chocolate on the other hand were very good. Would recommend the drinks but not the food.
C. “. T.I’m quite a big fan of Frankie and Benny’s, the food is generally always consistent and really quite tasty! I can quite confidently say I’ve tried at least 1/3 of the menu and it’s all really delicious! So no matter what you choose, you will almost always get a really tasty meal! Through the week they usually have a promotion for two courses and I recommend that for a cheaper meal, as a single meal can cost the same as the price the meal deal itself!
This specific branch is really lovely and the staff are super friendly! I’ve never had a problem here with the food at all. Being on the Royal Mile, you should take into consideration that this particular establishment can get to be quite busy so please bear that in mind.

J. C.Fab breakfast menu and really friendly staff. The coffee was excellent, and you get free refills too! Only thing I would say is that it's a bit of a trek getting to the ladies' loos - and when I visited 1 of the 2 cubicles was out of order, which could prove uncomfortable at busy times...

L.The food was really good. We had a salad and a BBQ chicken pizza. All tasty and good portions. The service we got by the Italian waiter was not nearly as good though. He showed little interest. Did not ask about any allergies, say enjoy your meal or coming by if everything was alright. Something that should be a normal thing if you are receiving customers in a restaurant. He put the drinks and food down as in here 'shut up and eat' making us feel rushed but he was happy enough though to be kind and chatting to the Italian customers next to us. All in all not a very nice experience for us despite the food being good.

Just be generous enough to give them a little patience; they're not making you wait because they want to.
The food was amazing, very good price for the quality and I had my first proper good strong coffee in the five days I have been in Scotland.
Left happy and will definitely return!

C. M.Just finished my meal and witnessed a really obnoxious guy practically bully the friendly waiter. It was disgraceful. No one should be allowed to be like that; I would have showed him the door! I used to go to F&B a lot but after a few disappointing meals in different venues I stopped. The waiter was very polite and said nothing out of order. Been here twice this week and happy to say that food and service both good.

We were lead to a table immediately and served just as quick. When we finished our burgers though, we ordered desserts... It took ages to arrive, even though our server went past us dozens of times. It got to a point t were we thought of leaving. We didn't leave, we got a very nice sundae... eventually... It was about 14:00 and maybe that is busy hours but it still took way to long for ice cream.
That said, I'd still recommend going there. Cheap and tasty food!
J. S.Walked in, got a table straight away. Asked about gluten free and was given a dedicated menu. Great range of choices, took a bit longer but was kept informed by staff. Food was superb and generous portions. No room for dessert! Definitely would visit again.

Staff was nice and attentive except one instance of waiters talking loudly at the bar and being on their phones in front of customers.

He also appeared to think that 2 Middle aged women, 1 disabled, were attempting to evade bill. I'm sorry if he's had a previous negative experience. I would like to suggest that restaurants in this area offer more diverse choices. Not everyone wants a full breakfast . Would be good if they could give mix and match in smaller portions. Just a thought
n. c.Fantastic. Great staff. Nalho was friendly and polite. Not a single problem with the meal. My calzone was perfect. The burgers were cooked perfectly. Highly recommended from our family to yours. Very close to the castle on royal mile. Great atmosphere.

Food took a very long - 45min. So, don't come with hungry kids or if you are in a hurry.

The food was consistently good as F&B food usually is. The staff was nice and polite and the service was excellent. I would go there again on my next visit to this lovely, historic city.

R. D.went for breakfast with my daughter, who is 5. So anyone with a child knows it's a time thing with the. Nothing is fast enough. With a picture to colour brought by the waiter kept her occupied until our breakfast came. With was really fast. Pancakes where nice as my daughter wolfed them down and my full english breakfast was filling and delicious

S.May take quite long during busy hours to get your food but they always deliver to a high standard, I’m glad that they’re starting to reintroduce some of their previous menu items such as the “family feast”. It was quite disappointing when they revamped their menu but if you want some good grub then this is the place to go.

Friendly staff but did not seem clean at one of our visits. Small flies and garbage laying all over the floor near the bin. Staff standing near it chatting, only when the manager came and startet cleaning it up the staff started to tidy up the place as well.
Left a poor impression, and poor impressions sticks for a long time.
