We wanted a nice takeaway place while having a night drive round the city. While looking unassuming from the outside, this turned out to be one of the best takeaway pizzas we've had. If you don't want the fancy artisan style pizzas that are all over the city, this is a great stop. Grab a portion of chili sauce, garlic mayo mix them up and have as a dipping sauce. Absolutely magic. Definitely a hidden gem in the city

I have tasted many many kebabs over the years in many places/countries, and palmyra pizza does the best kebabs I have ever tasted. Ever. The staff are always very polite and cheery and deliveries always arrive on time and hot!! 😁

It had been a fine evening of confabulating over caviar canapés and a few glasses of father's 1996 Dome Perignon Rose Gold Methuselah, but the whistling draught coming from the red curtains behind my chaise lounge whipped me into rapid spontaneity. I felt the most encouraging urge to abandon these daily comforts and dabble in some light basse couture. Never had I tasted the famous kebab that plebians so often worship on plights of foolish debauchérie. So entered I did, into the tungsten overladen, plastic chaired, pizza-scented kebab centre. The drunk plebians were not as frightful as one had anticipated. The gentleman providing the service was an authentic serviceman, Stern but patient, experienced and hardworking. I chose a donner kebab for my first kebab experience and was astonished at the speed at which it arrived - approximately 3 seconds later - just enough time to notice the poster of Damascus on the right. The kebab was fine, a solid 8/10, the spice level was unexpected but i enjoyed the challenge - imagining myself as a refined Hancock. I did find myself struggling to blend in, perhaps the monocle should have stayed in my pocket. De toute façon, it was a splendid adventure, perhaps the best one of November so far.

Best kebab ever! I'm a fan of spices but not heat, I absolutely hate any food that burns the mouth off you. In loads of places these days, even the garlic sauce is hot! The donner here was amazing! Full of flavour, wrapped in gorgeous bread and toasted. Not the mass produced pitta that falls apart as you try to eat it. Plenty of donner meat with garlic sauce finished off our night out brilliantly! Plus some beautiful baklava to take away and have later with a coffee. Wonderful wee place ❤️ would absolutely recommend 👌

Just going to get straight to it, to be honest, the wraps from here are out of this world! I recommend the chicken shawarma wrap! Absolutely delicious! I’ve had shawarma from other places but this is by far the best I’ve have! They’re also open until 2am so if you’re coming home from a night out or if you’ve been studying late in the library and not had supper, I definitely recommend here! They also have pizzas as well! And everything is a really decent price too! It’s not overpriced at all and it’s all really tasty! What more could you ask for?

Late night food for every taste. In my opinion, this place serves an Amazing pizza! Like really amazing!! I would recommend everyone to try the Palmyra pizza. Totally worth it. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Everything is amazing everytime I visit! Brilliant! Keep up the good work!! One thing is that it would be great to be able to enjoy the food with a pint, but there is no alcohol served it this place. Still, one of my first choices after a night out in old town.

Out on the town? Hungry? This is the place to go. They've got a wide range of your standard chippy-style foods to some really interesting Eastern dishes. You're more than guaranteed to bump into some very interesting characters - or catch up on plenty quality banter with the locals and staff. Plenty places to sit and they have sports on when they're happening, which can make for a great break in the evening. Chicken Shawarma is highly recommended.

I popped in for a 'Humus Falafel Wrap' to go at lunch. It was served with salad and yogurt. The wrap was created in front of me and quickly cooked. It was well made and survived the trip back to the office. The yogurt was a nice touch in place of the usual sauce options. Chickpea falafel was nicely seasoned and had been cooked correctly.
