Hats off to the workers here. We might of waited a while for food, however the staff constantly let us know about the wait and why we were waiting longer than usual. They're OK but by god they are the coldest toilets I've ever had to brace. I came back feeling like I'd been locked in a fridge. The food was really fresh. We had a wonderful experience. A slight issue with the menu description. In their Quattro Formaggi pizza, they've mentioned that's spicy by the use of the word Piccante however, it comes with a sweet chilly jam and it's very sweet. It tastes great but could be misleading.

Great service to be had here. Made very welcome and allowed plenty of time to choose from their menu. Great communication from all the staff. In a great location and perfect place to rest your weary feet and relax and enjoy their top class pizzas. High chairs available and good to have a kid's menu available.

Looking for a quality pizza experience ? look no further. Pizza express has the standard set of menu and this restaurant has defenitely kept up the standards. Pizza hut is right opposite and the location is quite central. Bus stops are easily accessible. We tried the Pollo ad astra pizza, a very tasty option. Pleasant surprise was the vanila cheese cake, a must try if you are a dessert lover. Ambience is nice too!

Me and my partner came here for food around tea time we were greeted by a guy who took us to our table where we were sat and had to wait around 10 mins before someone came to get our drinks order. Food was good. If a bit slow In the span of us entering to us leaving we had 5 wait staff and not one of them introduced themselves so we didn't know who our waiter was. Would possible come again.

C'è una cameriera Sarda fantastica :D We went for a couples late lunch and chose from the extensive vegan menu including pizza and a 'nourish' bowl topping it off with carrot cake and coffee. It was great! You cannot go wrong. Staff were wonderful in the North Bridge branch particularly a lovely Sardinian waitress who was attentive and cheerful.

I booked a table online for 9:30pm. I was greeted with "we are closed" in a short, sharp tone, by a clearly frustrated and flustered man. Not exactly what you want within the first 10 seconds of arriving. I explained I had a booking and was then seated. The food arrived quickly and tasted nice. I was waiting a while to see a server to ask for the bill. Besides one, they all seemed to be chatting at the back of the restaurant. It wasn't busy at this time, with only 4 tables left, so I would have expected more attentive waiters. Eventually I gave up and walked to the nearest server to ask for the bill. Admittedly whilst I was there I witnessed a customer being extremely aggressive towards one female staff member who handled it well. However, it doesn't excuse the not great service from the other staff members. Unfortunately, I doubt I will be coming back.

Nice atmosphere, perfect for lunch and early dinner. Staff can be a little haphazard but friendly and helpful. The Pizzas are are made at the back and you can see them being cooked if you like but I prefer to sit at the window and look outside onto the street. Last time I was in was with my brother and his two young daughters. The waitress was very friendly and patient with the kids. Their portions were just the right size and they were happy with the ice cream desert. The pizzas are really nice here as they are at every Pizza Express I have been to but this place has a slightly nicer vibe. Its sort of like a dinner / cafe style but bright and airy. Nice place to go with a partner for a quick bite of food. Sometimes there is a wait for a table but its never more than a few minutes so if you want to make reservations you can save a little time at the door.

Surprisingly I have never been into this branch of Pizza Express until recently. Had a really lovely experience, but that could have been the company. Nice to dip into on a friday night and have a slice of pizza, or two, (read seven). The waitress was very attentive and smiley and that has to be a good thing surely. Overall a really nice experience. Located nice and centrally, but don't expect easy parking.

Great pizza as usual bit a couple of disappointment. Asked for one of the new recipe pizzas and was told the didn't have it. Second choice was good. Halfway through spent 10 minutes trying to get noticed to order a second bottle of red wine and when the waiter arrived his face was a picture! I'm pretty sure 2 women have finished 2 bottles of wine in pizza express before! 😂

Great place to eat just off the Royal Mile. Super quick service despite being really busy, tables were kept clean and tidy after customers left, we were served reasonably quickly. Food was tasty, also pizza express have a regular round of special offers that make the price more attractive. All in all a great place for a meal with the family (kids were kept entertained with crayons and drawing activity sheets)

It's a chain but it's really not bad. There were gluten free options for my guest and my pizza was surprisingly good. Service was attentive without being annoying. They also accept tastecard which meant my meal was half price. Can't argue with that.

Oh my goodness, this was the best pizza we had ever had. We normally had been eating early, but the night we ate there was later. We lucked out and was able to get a small table for 2. The place was packed, and each time a table emptied, it was immediately filled again. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The waitress was not as friendly though I put this down to tge restau6being so busy. She was moving fast! It wasn't until later that we found out this is a chain restaurant. We don't normally go to chain restaurants bit if we ever cone across this one again we will definitely eat there.

This is a big and busy Pizza Express. It's on the bridge that connects Edinburgh's shopping heart to the historic and tourist core. Needless to say it then becomes a familiar and welcoming food stop for the city's thousands of visitors. Pizza Express are very good at getting that trade off of quality of food and speed right. This is a restaurant where you can pop in with a large family and not have a terrible wait. It does get very busy but given its size I think it is worth trying if there are lots of you and you've not booked. However, I'm not sure this is the best location to head to if there's just yourself eating and you're pushed for time. The risk of a large table placing an order ahead of you is great. My first hand experience of the staff has always been great. Friendly and helpful. But I've sat at the back and overheard staff row with each other, because of work load stress, and overheard staff worry they're not keeping up. I'm sure this happens at most busy restaurants but I've not encountered it very often and it really does mess with the visit. This is the only Pizza Express I've visited that has had to tell me that numerous items were off the menu. The dessert menu was practically empty once. It is much better than the Pizza Hut across the road.

A popular chain pizza restaurant with a recognisable menu. The restaurant on North bridge is clean, open plan with polite, friendly staff. It was very busy when we went for lunch, but it is August and festival time in Edinburgh. We were still seating within 3 minutes and served very promptly. Our waiter was attentive but didn't hover or make us feel rushed. The atmosphere is good and there are floor to ceiling windows that make for plenty of natural light. The food is a good standard and just what you would expect from pizza express, it came out promptly and was well cooked.

Visited this branch for the first time last month. This is a really pretty branch of PE with some nice booths and comfy seats as well as normal tables. It was a Friday evening and quite busy although the service was speedy. I don't know if it's because we had a voucher but the waiter was constantly trying to upsell us things we didn't want. Once for that is fine but constantly is just annoying! Toilets are at the back of the restaurant, down the stairs.

Standard Pizza Express fare, so you know what to expect. Good choice of pizza, pasta and salads, including their "light" menu options which are typically under 500 calories (e.g. thin pizza with hole in the middle filled with salad.) However, the service is incredibly slow, so if you have any later plans make sure you leave plenty time, and then some.
