Francesco, the manager of the pizzeria, is a wonderful person. The staff is kind, smiling and very professional. Everything is clean. Here you can live a true Italian experience, feeling in Italy: wonderful food, excellent pizzas! Truly a point of reference for all Italians in Scotland and for those who want to savor and learn more about what “Italy” means. Even fried courgette flowers, burrata, buffalo mozzarella! I travel almost 100 km to go and eat pizza at PizzaPosto.

This is a gem 💎 in Edinburgh, Scotland. We ate here 3 times on our short stay. It is in my opinion the best food in all of UK 🇬🇧. The Aqua Panna bottled water is a major plus as well. The pizza is perfecto, the staff very kind and the atmosphere inviting and relaxing.

Can't be beaten for price and lovely pizza. Kids menu for £5 is superb value and the waiters are super friendly. Highly recommended! In fact you wonder why this place isn't fully booked, but most weekend lunchtimes, at least, you can walk in and find a table. Thank goodness this place survived lockdown!

The pizzas are amazing, we have been coming here for 3 years and we are never disappointed, it is definitely the best pizza in Edinburgh (and more!!). The staff and the owner are incredible. The atmosphere is really warm, the staff attentive and the owner always nearby to see if we enjoy it. A special thanks to the owner who took care of us (you really make our day). The mortadella pizza I got was amazing, the ingredients are fresh, the staff is very professional and the taste says a lot about their seriousness. I can only recommend you to go there.

I was recently on a solo trip to Edinburgh and went to Pizza Posto for dinner after someone recommended it to me. Now, I feel like I must recommend it to absolutely everyone!! The pizza was one of the best pizzas I have had in my life, with an exceptional pizza dough in a style that I haven't tried before. Every single member of the staff (the waiters, waitresses, managers and chefs) were extremely friendly and positive. It was obvious that it is important to them that you have a good experience and you can truly feel it when you walk in. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing prices. I love that anyone can go, families, couples, or evening dining alone didn't feel weird there. I can't wait to come back on my next trip to Edinburgh. Thank you Pizza Posto for a great experience that I'll remember as a great part of my trip.

Amazing pizza, unique flavours and bases as well as the classics. Would recommend the pistachio, completely different to any pizza I’ve had in the past, a great change. (See green base photo) Friend had the vegetarian pizza with artichokes, said was great too. Cool vibe, there’s a downstairs too so bigger than when you first look through window with pizzas being made in full view of bottom floor. Couldn’t recommend more as good value too.

Insanely good pizza. Without a doubt the best in the city! Been here a dozen times and the ingredients are always fresh, flavourful, and impeccably prepared. Though you may (and should) come for the pizza, you'll end up coming back because of how genuinly welcoming the staff are. You get the sense they really take pride in their craft, and are borderline obsessed with making sure you enjoy it too. They're not shy about getting you to try 'off the menu' dishes and unique new plates that the chef (or manager) just whips up! It's an awesome experience that is complimented by equally incredible food. Great spot!

Absolutely love this restaraunt, the food is always tasty and cooked to perfection! We went today after seeing some COVID-19 restrictions eased and were nothing short of impressed at the amount of work and effort that had gone into ensuring customer safety. There were 2m spaces between tables, arrows to show which direction to go in when walking in the restaraunt, hand sanitiser on every table and all cups and cutlery were disposable. The quality of the cutlery was fantastic - no expense has been spared to keep customers safe. Staff were friendly and helpful as always and all had appropriate PPE on. We had a great experience for our first meal post lockdown thanks to Pizza Posto!

The pizza is lovely. Decent prices for what you get. You might think get a dominos if you want a decent pizza for 6-9 quid? No, come here and get something much fresher and tastier! And no im not paid for this haha. I genuinely just really like the pizza. The staff are really nice too and the decor is good. Expect to wait 10 minutes for a pizza. Downsides: drinks are expensive (£2 for a can??). The pizza for takeaway comes in an awful cardboard box which won't keep it dry or warm.

Can’t recommend this adorable pizza restaurant more. It was originally recommended to me by the chefs who work in the Michelin starred restaurant ‘The Kitchin’, who go there on their days off. The pizzas are so tasty and totally Italian. Love the fact that they only serve pizza and everyone one of them on the menu is delicious. Combined with their great wines and amazing Aperol Spritz you can almost feel you are in Venice. Topped off by being great value can’t wait to go back.

Our take away pizza was really nice. Shame it wasn't cut because it made it impossible to eat it with any dignity. Same for the brudcetta, which was also cold in the middle by the time we walked back to the campus (3 minutes away). I'd happily sit-in here for the food, but I'll skip the take away.

Good but… I’ve been to Pizza Posto last week. Everything perfect except for the guy at the entrance. He’s been very rude, talking out loud, using his phone all the time and with the mask under his nose. I went for the first time with a couple of friends to share a few pizzas. The waiters were very welcoming and helpful for any requests and service was quick. The location is rustic and cozy. When we got our pizzas, at first glance we were amazed by the enormous size and the delicious smell. I really appreciate the taste and high quality of ingredients! We felt that we were getting good value for money because the prices are affordable. I have been living in Edinburgh for almost 2 years and what I can say is that it's the best pizza I've had since I moved here!

We ordered garlic pizza bread to start, which was just right; not garlic butter like most places, but finely crushed real garlic. We followed up with ham and mushroom which came with a variety of types of mushroom, and with quite chunky but very soft San Marzano tomatoes. Beautiful! The atmosphere is cafe-like, and the staff are very laid back but friendly. We will be back!

A real Italian pizza! Definitely the best pizza I've ever had outside Italy. The location is really comfortable, and the staff helpful and nice. There is few choice of pizza, compared to Italy, nevertheless you can choose some great types of pizza. The bill is cheap, compared to other restaurants in the city, and absolutely appropriated. A very smart looking place with friendly staff. I love that it’s a simple menu with a modest price range. But most importantly, the pizzas themselves were superb. Great emphasis was placed on the organic base they make and we didn’t have to wait long before they came. But we were there at a quiet time. The food I would give 5 stars to, however, I felt the music made me feel like I was in Foot Locker and not a restaurant, so I dropped a star for that. A better choice of music would have suited me, but won’t put me off going there again.

Delicious pizza, fairly cheap and reasonably fast. Pizza Posto takes reservations but in general you would find a place even if you show up without booking. Staff is generally nice (I only met a guy who was quite rude) and helpful. Only negative: they accept only 4 payment (4cards or 3 cards and the rest in cash), which means for bigger group you will have to pay in cash.

Pizza done properly. Update for July 2021: We had takeout, because pandemic. Pizza Posto has some of the traits from Venezia's Pizzeria in Breaking Bad. Superb Pies, saving you cash by not SLICING THE PIZZA! Yes, savage as it might seem, their takeout pizza comes unsliced. Now, if you are taking this home, that might be ok. But, if you are say, going to the park to eat some of Edinburgh's finest Neopolitan pizza you end up savaging the pie into pieces to be able to eat it. Compounded that we also didn't get any napkins to clean up the mess you will ultimately look like in this unsliced world. Won't stop me returning though.

Prices are very reasonable, ranging from £4 to £8, and there is a lunch time offer for a smaller pizza, small salad and soft drink for £4.95 which is fantastic value. For those with bigger appetites, don't go for the lunch offer, just get a full pizza you will end up wanting more anyway.

A pleasant surprise in the overloaded pizza restaurant market of Edinburgh. Pizza Posto is located opposite to the Festival Theatre, on Nicolson Street, where a decade ago used to be the infamous Ti Amo restaurant. First things first, front of house (which ever waiter is free-ish) accommodated me in no time in one of its front tables, which was a bit drafty as single window panels have no sealant between them, but it wasn't a big deal. I ordered the pizza number 5 with spicy Italian salami, mozzarella, tomato base and olive oil plus mushrooms as an extra topping. The order took a bit long to arrive as the pizza chefs were dealing with a couple of over-populated tables. The service was efficient but a bit detached. The number 5 looks really good and healthy (AKA no dripping grease) and tasted like the genuine article as you can identify and degust the main flavours, from the properly made pizza dough, to the good quality mozzarella, aromatic tomato sauce and the tasty but not that fiery spicy salami. The added mushrooms came from an oil marinated mushrooms flask rather than their fresh counterpart, nevertheless it was a great flavour addition to the number 5. The quality/price ratio was really good as the number 5 was £ 8 + £ 1 for the extra topping, a price that cannot be beaten in the Edinburgh catering scene. I'll certainly go back to try some other flavour combinations. Recommended.

Excellent pizza - perfect base, my son's Margherita was exactly as it should be (although without its name) and I had a very unusual broccoli raab pizza that transported me straight down to Puglia. Very original. There were some very good and authentic looking puddings in the cold counter teasing me but unfortunately I'm on a diet. I envy the lucky people that will get to enjoy these! All in all, it came to about 20 squids for two pizzas, a pint and a coke - so I'd say good value for money. I highly recommend you give this place a go.

I usually enjoy eating here more. Pizza not as good as usual (mozzarella cheese a bit rubbery), but still enjoyable, so I'll let it pass. The real problem was the music: too loud, for a start; but mostly, way too cheesy! Non-Italian speakers would be unaware of what is blasted into their ears: I may be a prude, anyway I didn't enjoy the tune "ti piace il gelatino, poi la fragolina la devi dare a me" (roughly "do you like your ice cream, let me have your strawberry") while I was having lunch. Debatable tune, incongruous place and time. Please review your soundtracks!
