On 8th January 2022, my wife and I visited this restaurant for our lunch. We visited this OMNI site at first. This restaurant’s staff were very kind. There is a lots of kind meals n the menu. We selected one starter and one main dish. Taste was very good. Looking forward to having other meals soon. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal here today. The pasta dishes that came to the table were very tasty. The cocktails tasted really nice too. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented. One small niggle was the gents, it was a bit smelly, not nice in a restaurant and the cubicle door sticks.

We went for the lunchtime specials- food was quick, tasty and hot, not to mention a lot more that we expected for under £7! The garlic chips were delicious if let down a little by the quality of the chip. The cocktails are an absolute showstopper. Competitively priced at ~£7 but certainly ticked all the boxes for quality of premium ingredients and presentation. Great for a boozy lunch.

My partner and I were extremely happy with our food and the service we received. We went for a pre-theatre meal and were certainly not let down. We were sat parallel with the servery counter and we both were in awe of the manager and the waiter delivering the meals. Absolutely Love Toni Macaroni!!! Nice and quiet early afternoon, but soon got busier. Delicious food and excellent service. Slightly disappointed by the differences in dessert, 3 cheesecakes ordered, one had Ice cream and berries, one had ice cream and cream, the last one had solely a slice of cheesecake. Definitely arrive early if you have a show at the playhouse.

Booked a table on New Year's Eve for midday. Food was superb and ultra fresh. Absouletly loved the Meatball starter. Great choice of food and beverages. Service was excellent and the team fully observed the updated Covid restrictions. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

Nice place but was busy when we went for lunch. Because of that, it was rather noisy. Service was fast and prompt, but not very friendly which was a little disappointing. Staff were obviously a little rushed as it being a Saturday lunchtime. Would go again though as food was delicious.

Restaurant was packed when we arrived . Staff was taking only bookings as being short of staff . Waitress at the door explained she could give us a table however there was a bit of waiting time for food . This was very nice of her . We actually waited for no longer than 20 minutes for our mains which I think its more than normal for the amount of people there . I saw one of the manager helping kitchen preparing food , however floor staff was very attentive to make sure everyone was aware of waiting time . I felt very sorry when I saw manager dealing with such an aggressive-mannered customer which made me feel very bad for him . People like that should not be allowed to enter any restaurant !!!! Thank you guys for your hard work !!! My husband confirmed he had the best linguine gambaroni in his life !!! Sticky toffee Sunday was a pearl !!!

Love Tony Macs, its one of my favourite pizza places. The lunchtime menu ( week days ) is such a bargain and has plenty to offer.The service is always really fast which is great if you are short on time and the staff are always lovely. Have been many times and am never disappointed. Another visit today and we loved it. The staff were so friendly a very big thank you to Bruno who really made it above and beyond. As always the food was great, really fresh.and flavourful.

Lovely food, lovely service. We went for lunch time, so it was moderately busy. Fast service with a smile and reasonable prices. If I had to criticize anything, I would say that the salad was small compared to the pasta dishes. It was delicious, but another handful of greens and sliced qpple would have gone a long way.

Very pleased with the place. Didn't taste everything but everything we tasted was marvelous (leak your fingers). This is the best restaurant we visited so far in UK. Strongly recommend. Update: visited this place recently after 3 years from the initial review and was totally disappointed with the quality of their food. 2 from 4 dishes we ordered were had uncooked meat, which shouldn't have been by recipe. Despite the staff was nice and helpful now this is no longer a 5 star place to visit. Maybe good for a coffee and a pizza, but I wouldn't risk to order any meat in there. Downgrading the rating to 3 star as now they are just an ordinary place that you would visit and have a 50/50 chance of eating good or be disgusted by the food you'll get. Very sorry to see they dropped the bar so low for their food standards.

Lovely food and staff very customer orientated. Only criticism I sent my cocktail back as the glass had chips all the way round. They poured it from chipped glass into a new glass. When we worked in hospitality we had to throw it away and make fresh. They did check all glasses while we were there

I'm very surprised the reviews aren't stronger for this place, we only stumbled across it by chance but are very happy we did. Only good thing about staff , from the manager to the rest of the servers : you all work so hard trying always to put a smile on your face ! Please dont let complaints discouraging you coz your service was brilliant . Presto menu is shoking cheap for its value . Food was incredible tasty and portions were bigger than what you pay! Had a chat with the manager who showed and explained us Sunday menu also : looking forward to coming back again !

Really nice food and very friendly staff - so lovely to hear them speaking Italian, it felt like being abroad! - but disappointed when I checked my bill to see a 10% service charge had been added on. I think it's up to the customer to decide whether or not to reward service. I would have left a tip but this compulsory add-on left a bit of a nasty taste.

From the very start to finish we were received with a very warm welcome from out waiter Bruno. We didn't have a reservation but Bruno accomadated us promptly and we were shown our table. I was completely impressed by how busy the restaurant was and how the staff was working hard to make every single person happy . I have worked in hospitality and I can tell how hard it can be . Had a nice carbonara and my son confirmed he had the best pizza around city centre ! a big shout out to the manager who ( I dont know how )found the time to double check if everything was ok for everyone on our table ! as first time in tony Mac in Edinburgh it will not be for sure the last ! thank you guys for having made our evening so special !

I’ve always loved the food at Tony Macaroni’s and have been to this restaurant several times and every time has a good experience. I had a slight issue with one dish I ordered from them (I think someone accidentally added too much salt to my risotto - a simple mistake). So I called up the restaurant and explained the problem and they were SO apologetic and invited me to come in for a free replacement risotto the following day. They even offered to let me sit in and eat, and gave me a free drink with it. The managers, Nuncia and Andrea, really bent over backwards to make sure I had a better experience (which I absolutely did - their Risotto al Pollo is one of my favourite dishes!) In a world where it’s getting harder to find good customer service, these guys just go above and beyond - as they always do. Plus, it’s authentic Italian food, in a really nice environment (they have an open-faced kitchen, so you can practically see your food being cooked, which I always find mesmerising!!) I would 100% recommend Tony Macaroni’s at the Omni Centre to anyone, and I’ll certainly be going back!

Went for a meal after work after having it recommended but it did not live up to the billing. The table we had for 3 was very tight and seemed to have a constant procession of waiting staff charging past the table. Of the meals ordered we found the pizza was rather salty, the lasagna was too cheesy and the risotto was okay. The staff were very polite and service was efficient....one waiter entered into regular banter with my daughter which she enjoyed greatly.

The food was good but my issue is with the staff. They where literally running around the restaurant. I understand, maybe some people called in sick or whatever but the second we sat down we where asked about drinks, when we said we needed a few minutes the waiter ran off only to be replaced 30 seconds later by another waiter asking for our drink order. After repeating that we needed a minute he left.. .and the first waiter arrived back a whole 10 seconds later to ask us about drinks. We where sat right in the middle of the restaurant and so saw all of the waitiors literally running with food from one end to the other. We where just finishing up on our starters and the plates where whisked away basically as I was still taking my last bite. Again, I understand they where possibly feeling stressed or understaffed but it made myself and my table feel rushed and really quite uncomfortable. We left without desert to go find somewhere a little more chilled

Totally unexpected surprise, great food! I must say I was put off going here because of the tacky radio ads you used to here all the time, but I'm really glad I went. Firstly my partner asked for a mocktail (driving), it tasted better than most cocktails, very tasty with a lot of work on the details. The wait wasn't long as it wasn't busy. My carbonara was superb, perfect amount too. My partner got a seafood pasta dish and it tasted so fresh! Also, the best garlic bread I've ever had, like it was fried in butter or something. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I'm not sure if it was my low expectations that did it, but I really, really enjoyed the food. Every time I'm going to see a movie at the omni, I'm going to stop off here before hand.
