The lime and berries juice is very nice they serve it as small shot at the beginning. We ordered risotto and meatballs pasta. Really their food is so good. The place is beautiful sunny and has a good view in the center of the city. The staff were nice. I’d love to visit again.

We had a lovely dinner at this location during our trip to Glasgow. Place is absolutely stunning. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was exceptional! Lovely selection of Italian goodness. Dishes had so much flavour and it is a lot of value for money.

Very friendly service! Thanks to all the staff who worked on 5 June. My friend and I ordered two starters, one sider and two mains. It was £23.70 per person. We were very satisfied with our meal. My favourite was Mushrooms Al Forno! I've never had such delicious mushrooms ...... highly recommended GARLIC & CHEESE CHIPS also very delicious Pasta section: KING PRAWN & CRAYFISH FRILLY TAGLIATELLth the taste was very salty ...... and the crayfish inside tasted fishy. Not recommended BEEF BRISKET PAPPARDELLE: also quite salty

Wide selection of food from pizza to pasta, as you'd expect. Food was presented well and very tasty. I would have liked if the pizza was a little bigger. Service was good and prompt. I don't like having to do it myself on the phone though, that's just personal preference but I feel it took away from the occasion and atmosphere.

Good experience with ASK Italian. We both got pizza as a main and had shared a bruschetta to start with. All very satisfactory and as expected. I.e. no greater experience, but a nice meal. The staff was also very friendly and helpful when the online ordering didn't work for us. Note though that a lot of the pizzas gad chicken as the main meat ingredient, which is not that common on Italian pizzas, but perhaps this is a Scottish preference. Would recommend as a decent meal.

This restaurant is near the bus station so is really handy. Wasn't too busy when we arrived so had a choice of seat. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Staff very attentive and food piping hot. Would definitely go back

First impressions walking in were Whal! It is stunning. ..but sadly it lacked staff, no heating, limited choice of drinks and poor alternatives in food. Nice touch is lemonade shot when taken to table But another strange thing, they ask you if you have any food allergies before you are even at your table, then they have forgotten by the time they come back to you However food was nice and did like the location as across from Royal Concert Hall but that would probably be the only reason to return. Which is a shame as it could make a fortune

Very nice meal shared with freinds. Good staff. Wouldn't recommend the calamari. It was tough as boots and batter was not great. No seasoning and only a slither of lemon which was not enough to taste. Everything else was nice.

Popped in Sunday about 4:30pm. Wasn't busy and we were seated rapido. One of the party has dietary requirements nd we were told the manager would need to take the order when we were ready. We got the big dietary book so we could check what we were ordering was ok. No probs so far. We ordered drinks, starters and mains. We weren't in a rush and noone was starving, but 40 min later we still hadn't had our drinks. Even the kids started to joke about it. We got 2 of our starters served and asked again about the drinks. The drinks had been sat on the bar waiting for ages. We had finished the starters by the time the other 2 starters turned up. Main courses were served up pretty quick, ordered another round of drinks when being served the mains which arrived after we had finished eating. Place was getting busy by the time we were leaving. Staff were nice enough and the food was really good. Just let down by the timing of being served.

The Glasgow branch of Ask. Visited her as Glasgow, almost inpexplicably, doesn’t have a Pizza Express. Not been to an Ask for a few years so the menu hs been through a few changes. Still, overall this was a good experience - we were seated quickly and the waiter brought drinks. You can then order food/pay bill etc either with the water or via the app. Always a great blend. Like good neighbours. Starter was sizzling mushrooms on a skillet hotter than the sun. Yum, but ow… :p The main, obviously, was the Calzone. This looked like a big cornish pasty but, unlike a cornish pasty, was actually really nice to eat. Full of flavour and with plenty of meat. Overall, I’d come here again for certain. The beer was Peroni by the way, big Peronis for the people.

We had two nights in Glasgow before our tour was to begin. The first night we dropped in, it was very busy and we did not have a reservation. The hostess, Linzi, took pity on us and found us a small table. Our food was so delicious that we decided to return the next night (again, without a reservation). Linzi guided us to a really nice window table and again, the food was wonderful. Thank you Linzi, for your great hospitality. Ask Italian should be proud of you!

Came in for a late lunch, food was kinda below average, carbonara was slightly on the bland and dry side. My partner ordered a bolognese but it was also bland and tasteless. Well, we cant really complain for a £9.90 2 course meal. We also ordered a calamari which was nice though, lightly battered and done right.

First time here and it did not let me down. I thought it was going to be the typical branch restaurant with normal-towards-low quality of food but it was completely the opposite. Every single course that I had was amazing. The dough of my pizza was thin and crispy, perfect. Desserts... AMAZING! Leave some space to try them. Service was good as well. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have been here many times and we have never came away disappointed. The food is fabulous and the service is always very helpful and friendly. On our last visit, the young waiter that looked after us was exceptional. I wish I could remember his name as he deserves all the recognition he should rightly be getting. One of the best we have had in ANY restaurant. Absolutely first class We will returning here anytime we are in Glasgow and are in the mood for Italian food. Loved it.

Another high street chain Italian restaurant. We can't move for them these days. Pizza is a decent size, side salads are tiny. You know the deal with these places, reasonable quality, reasonable prices and agency staff taking your order. Not bad if you're just looking for a no nonsense bite to eat.

Nice place to rest your feet, relax and have food and drink. Good menu choice, but quite expensive for pizza, pasta and drinks. Around £13 for a pizza is way too much. Staff were really friendly. We paid £34 for 2 pizzas, a cola and a beer, which is way too much for lunch. Too many bars and restaurants are over pricing now.

The food was nice and prompt for a busy Saturday night. I don’t have issues with the staff however the use of the app did make us feel a bit neglected and as there was no option to send a message to the kitchen via the app it was a little difficult getting someone’s attention and hoping the message of ‘no chilli’ was passed on. Luckily it was. Hope in time to come there will be an option for waiting staff to take orders like before Covid. Also when getting desert the chocolate gnocchi is amazing and a must try!

Busy restaurant, in fact we couldn't get in on walk up first night we tried. Back another time, the high ceilings made it hard to stay warm when the door opened, and it opened often. Service was by a very pleasant waitress who was busy, perceptive and efficient. The food offering is extensive but we felt the quality didn't quite meet the expectations we had, which was a shame as wanted to really enjoy ourselves. The room was full with people of all age groups, many out for Christmas fare in their finery. 3 Stars seems harsh but we just didn't get that 4 star feeling, sorry to say.

Was in Glasgow with the lads, other pubs had let us down massively. Went into Ask Italian on the off chance of getting a table. The manager themselves made sure we got a spot for their beer garden. The restaurant singlehandedly saved our night! Fantastic service, lovely waitress served us and we made sure we tipped generously. The mojitos are absolutely unbelievable in this place. The Irish coffees as well. It's safe to say, we'll be back with bells on! This review is to say a massive thank you to this place for the all round fantastic experience.

We popped into Ask Italian for a light lunch. On arrival we were shown to a window seat which was great for people watching, supplied with menus and a short of very lemony delicious lemonade. The waitress came back a few moments later to take our order. As we wanted a light lunch we asked for one pizza but split between the two of us. After a short period our pizza was served already split and on two separate boards. We selected a mushroom pizza and it had a nice light base and had plenty of topping. It was an ideal amount for the two of us, tasted great and supplied very quickly. I would recommend Ask Italian.

Was only in for tea and coffee. Seems to be inadequate priority for customers wanting food. We had to wait to be seated with no luck. After 10 minutes we had to prompt the waitress for a seat/table. After being seated it took a further 15 minutes for order to be taken however we had to prompt again. Another lady whom was also sited outside shared same expierence. This was confirmed through conversing with her. I'm sure food is great but on this particular day both my guests and the other lady had a bad experience of service. On a plus the tea, coffee and cake we received was delicious.

Very nice staff and great food. Prices are high but not too expensive. It's an atmospheric and bright room with a large window front. The pizza and sweet potato fries came 10 min after the order so we didn't have to wait for long.

They don't accept cash , gawd knows why , some old folk haven't got mobile phones and don't know what a QR code is, you need to start accepting cash again like you did before pre COVID ( that's the only reason l can think of that your not accepting cash.

Pretty good Italian food, but not particularly authentic or special. The interior feels a bit corporate. I had the baked rigatoni which was fine, but again nothing special. A solid place to eat that has something for everyone, but not worth going out of your way to seek out.

Came here for a friend's birthday in January 2018. The service staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was very good. I had a pizza, but others on the table had pasta, and it all looked very good. The quality of the food was about the same as at other restaurants, like zizzis or pizza express, but it was slightly more expensive. As students, this gets three stars, but could get more by being more cost efficient.

Ask Italian was reasonable enough, it was busy when we came in and they seemed short staffed, so service was slow. The menu had changed since I was last there as there are now less options of starters and they've introduced various bases for pizza including a 'prima' base, this is some baked and thinner and more costly, I found the classic base just fine. The pizza tastes good and my wife had a salmon salad which she enjoyed. Overall reasonably good food at reasonable price.

We got in around closing time and no one rushed us. The waitress was new to the country and the language so it was a little hard placing our order. My daughter is NOT allergic to shell food or nuts but she does have a sensitivity to them. Once they heard this she had a hard time ordering because they were afraid she would have a reaction to some cross contamination and would not bring her what she had ordered.

A particularly nice outlet of this franchise. Good for large seatings and parties in a central Glasgow location. Food was good quality and the staff were friendly attentive and efficient. There was a gluten free menu and the food was good. However the restaurant seemed to be understaffed..our waiter could hardly breathe with so much work on his hands (that he did well and efficiently) but we felt sorry for him as we ate, and that kind of made us uncomfortable. And the bartender's reply to being asked to make a cosmopolitan was "I don't drink" - we were just amused by it and disappointed that a common cocktail like the one we wanted was not available. And the mojito ordered had no alcohol in it though we were charged for it !

I've been to many amazing restaurants, but nothing has topped this one. Service was excellent, Staff were friendly, food was so amazing I cannot find words to describe it and the prices were excellent. The Pork Belly is to die for as is the Risottos and Pizzas (Yeah, I pinched a bit from my friends plates). Then there's the Tiramisu which just melts in your mouth. Shame about the experiences from the other two reviewers, because my experience was incredible.

Good service, decent food. For an italian place the glass of wine was quite large (smallest portion, 175ml). The bolognese pasta was OK. I was surprised they served pasta with no spoon (just the fork). Also, I prefer even drier wines than the merlot served, but I guess it was OK overall.

Oh Ask! It all started so well! Arrived early at a mostly empty restaurant for a pre theatre meal. Starters & mains arrived in timely manner & were thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant quickly filled up around us & we struggled to get waiter attention. My partner finally got someone's attention & ordered desert. After half an hours wait & no waiter checks we had to call a waiter to advise we'd need to cancel it & leave as we were now running late for our next stop. The response, oh sorry the kitchen lost your order. Can I get you a free drink? Erm, No, we've just told you that we're now late, what makes you think we've got time for a drink? Think the restaurant may be under staffed in busy periods, don't go in if you're on a schedule

First time I went it was amazing, great service, brilliant food. Second time I went it was absolutely terrible, service was appalling food took forever to arrive and in the wrong order. Was served by the same person both time. I'd put it down to them being busier the second time. It just made it much more disappointing as the first time was so good. As I can't give two and a half stars I've given 3.
