Very nice, open plan premises. We particularly liked the unusual furnishings. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were friendly and helpful. An uncomplicated menu made ordering hassle free and our food was excellent.

Service was great and friendly and food was amazing. Will be back

We ate here before seeing The Pet Shop Boys 29 May. The food was absolutely fine, maybe a wee bit expensive for what it was, but the service was excellent, all the staff were cheerful and helpful, however a special mention to our waiter John, he was lovely, funny and although they were rushed off their feet, always prompt. Would definitely go again if at an event in the Hydro, SEC etc

Great spot ponta if moretti where best within a mile. Food smelt great. If they played the music for the event that was on would have been even better. Staff where very friendly
C.
Great place. Staff extremely polite and helpful especially the lady. Food was also really nice. Will be here again!

We had fish&chips and a soft drink on Saturday 5th March great customer service meal was served in good time seems like a great place for families well recommended.

Waited a while for our food, "some sort of mix up with receipts or something like that" I the kitchen (man next to us waited 30 minutes for chips). Don't know if heating was working but it was cold.

The food was good, and not too expensive. My only comment is that they are very fixed on what time you can buy meals and there are gaps where no menu is available which isn't great in an exhibition venue when you are trying to feed a show team who work long hours with busy periods where they can't get away.
E. G.
Fantastic venue, food was amazing and served in a timely manner

Visited whilst going to see prof Brian Cox at hydro. Had eaten here few years previous and enjoyed.checked on line menu before making a seating reservation as have a food intolerance.
On arrival menu was not same as that on line.
Waitress acknowledged this is a problem and did not know why it does not sync with that presented (so be aware of this)on line it did not suggest it was a sample menu either. waitress said it appears to have been the practice for some time quite bizarre,
This limited the choice which was minimal anyways.
I chose the burger which is something I would never usual chose had to return the Fry's which were luke warm on arrival, but remedied quickly.
Husband chose pizza only because of lack of choice, this order was presented wrong but quickly replaced by correct choice and complimentary drink given to him as an apology.
Overall staff were very friendly and attentive to us.not sure we would eat here again though due to not knowing menu before hand and limited choice.not the most reasonablist of prices especially when you don't get what you thought you were going to have! We were left a bit disappointed but made the most

This is an order food at the bar/waiter service open plan feature of the conference centre. The menu is basic and limited (pizza, pasta etc) at reasonable cost. It is not particularly comfortable/cozy and, being open to the main thoroughfare and having glass to 2 sides and an industrial ship building theme to reflect its heritage, it isn't particularly warm. However, it is very busy and popular with visitors, concert goers and conference delegates.

I went to the SEC for the girls day out event - the group of us came to clydebuilt for food and drinks after much shopping and taster gins! We were served by a lovely girl sam who was hilarious and gave good banter! She recommended what drinks we could have and gave good food recommendations too! (Mini mac and cheese with sweet potato fries, side salad and pakora) She made up cocktails out of little bottles which were delicious and looked great with fresh berries! She served us each time we went up to the bar and was fab.
We said our table number wrong so the food was brought somewhere else but she managed to fix it quickly when I asked her and was very attentive - she generally cared about us and wanted to make sure we were all good, which makes a change from other waitresses/bartenders! Anither girl with a blind bun was also lovely and helped sam with getting drinks.
There is a strange system with ques that take quite long but it is a busy place! The food is quite expensive but worth it, overall great day out and experience here with the girls! Will be back :)

Relaxed for casual dining pre concerts. Always very busy but food is reasonable and very good quality. Plenty of Scottish fayre on the menu. Staff helpful but no table service is available (at least not for walk-ins)
J. S.
Convienent to the concert venue for a pre drink because the choice is a bit better as well as the price.

The service was good. I had booked a table, sk was seated quickly even though there was a large queue.
The food was good, not spectacular. The prices were fine.
I would definitely recommend booking a table when eating here as it is always very busy.

Set inside the SEC building the Clydebuilt is a handy place to dine before attending a concert or event. It has a decent menu and selection of coffees, teas and drinks.
Prices are reasonable, if slightly more expensive. It works itself out if you consider the additional cost of parking in town to dine and then the transport out to the SEC.

The menu has a limited selection of food, and no salads. Mainly burgers and pizza, but the food is ok. There's queues to get a table and order. The service is rather basic, but the staff is not getting tipped as it is self-service. A bit pricey. An OK meal overall.

Going to the Hydro for a concert and decided to come here for something to eat first. We had the Pepperoni Pizza and i have to say it was lovely. Nice place and reasonable prices, would certainly visit again.

Went to the food court at the back of the girls day out which is still this restaurant and the food was good but we got 2 drinks and 1 portion of chips & it was £19. It was only £3.50 for the chips we also got a pizza which was £12 tbh over priced &too expensive.

Situated within the SECC Glasgow the Clyde Built bar/cafe does very nice food, beverages & soft drinks for the price.
There's a decent theme to the decor (industrial) but I was surprised to see the ornamental vise on one of the tables was still fully functional & all ready to trap some curious kid's fingers!
The choice of draught beers is rather limited with only Lagers & ciders available (would it kill them to offer beers or Guinness) & I couldn't see an alcoholic drinks price list despite looking.
Then again, no-one's coming here for the drink.
So, overall it's nice with only a few minor reservations.

Reduced my previous rating from 4 to 3 star. Disappointed to find out now it is no longer table service.
Food was quite bland although Mac Cheese was on point.
Service was average at best. Cancelled upcoming reservations.
Really disappointed as this was my go to for concerts and I had recommended to many.
T. G.
Really nice restaurant, menu wasn't extensive but there was enough choice to satisfy most people looking for a bite to eat before a gig. Reasonably priced and the staff were lovely.
I. D.
Nice venue, light and airy. We didn't eat there but the draught Heineken was really good, ice-cold and perfect for a 30C day, albeit somewhat expensive at £5•20 a pint.
K. R.
Been going here for early morning coffee during our convention for the past 4 years. Staff are always really friendly and the coffee is great. Also great to sit at a table by the window and watch the world go by.
J. B.
Good food. Excellent friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Would give five stars but don't like having to order at the counter.
C. L.

H. C.
Nice food although the menu is different to the one advertised online, a bit draughty due to location, friendly and helpful staff.
S. M.
First time visiting, food was delicious portion to price is amazing, quality of the food was exceptional. I can see why it's always busy.
L. J.
Had a fab pizza and chips while at the hobby craft show we do thus twice a year and always enjoy our lunch here.
S. H.
Excellent service from all the staff limited Manu but then again it is designed for a quick bite before concerts the food was beautiful and well presented
F. R.
Good food but absolutely freezing had to eat with our coats on. Asked staff to turn air blowers off but said they couldn't.
M. S.

D. C.
Nice place Good food. Gets a bit busy closer to show time. But would happy come back
C. M.
I was wondering why my pizza was called the angry scotsman. Found out why when I ordered a whisky and was told the bar only stocks 1 whisky and it's dewars.
T. M.
Had a lovely meal here before going to see Billy Connelly. If you are going to a busy event then I do recommend that you come early and have a bite to eat here.

Expected to pay over the odds with it being the sec. Good was nice and staff friendly. 3 stars for the excessive wait between starter and main.

Great visit for Girlguiding Scotland Tartan Gig - good pizza, good experience - kids had a ball!
D. L.
Nice food but found the cost for some items very excessive (£3.95 for 120ml of ice cream) but it's the SEC and everything seems to be highly priced
C. W.
Great food and plenty of it
L.
Amazing pizza and environment
l. j.
Busy, pleasant staff, food okay, don't expect much change lol!
P. N.
Bar food and drinks at not so reasonable prices. It is what it is. An exhibition centre fast food outlet
P. P.
Great food, good service - and ideal for watching the world go by.
D. W.
Really tasty chili. Seems to lack some soul though and you need a bleeding torch to read table numbers
C. R.

(Translated) We entered here because there were few things around the area to eat. High prices for what it is. Still the attention was fast and good and especially the soup was very good.

Entramos aquí porqué había pocas cosas por la zona para comer. Precios elevados para lo que es. Aún así la atención fue rápida y buena y sobretodo la sopa estaba buenísima.

(Translated) We were there before the Shania Twain concert. Very uncomplicated process. You look for a free spot, someone queues at the bar and orders food and drink, shows the table number and within 10 minutes you have your food at the table, you take the drink with you. The prices are ok. Large serving of fish and chips 12 pounds, burger max. 13 pounds.
The service staff are on their toes with food and drinks, but not when it comes to cleaning. And broken things should be fixed.

Wir waren vorm Shania Twain Konzert dort. Sehr unkomplizierter Ablauf.
