My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful experience here. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to families, couples, singles and groups as all of these were present as we ate. The food was fantastic, all our meals were excellent, great staff, attentive without being intrusive. When I'm next in Glasgow I will definitely visit eat here again.

No hesitation in giving this eatery 5☆. Visited May/22 for first time. Situated Kelvinbridge area on Great Western Rd, so West End but thankfully without the over inflated attitude of self-worth. This place is down to earth and all the better for it. The room is bright and fresh; even having 2 booths which could take 6 people each. There is a downstairs area which could cater to larger parties. And just for reference, the 'rest-room' was just as good. Clean and beautifully decorated. There were 3 young waiting staff looking after us and they were superb; smart, well presented and friendly. The food was quite simply fantastic. Portion sizes are amazing ( no skimping here) and cooked to perfection. It's not often I cannot find some negative, but not here. See for yourself. Go.

Ordered food from here and it was a mixed batch. The chips were probably the best I've ever had. For how cheap they are and their description as "skinny fries", I expected them to be those floppy mcdonalds style chips but they were unreal. Crispy, fluffy and seasoned well. The arrabiata was disappointing. The sauce seemed like just a basic tomato sauce with no heat or taste of pepper. It also was quite bland so it could probably be seasoned better. Totally edible but I wouldn't pay the £8.50 to get it delivered again. Great chips though.

First time visiting La Lanterna for lunch and it was absolutely amazing! Service was friendly and attentive, recommendations were spot on and very reassuring. Set menu options were incredible value for money and every dish was as tempting as the next. Everything was presented and cooked perfectly. I genuinely have no notes! Highly recommend the risotto, bruschetta, mussels in white wine sauce and the tiramisu.

We ordered 29 portions of pasta for 9.30pm last night the ordering process was an easy pleasant experience. The hot pasta was delivered at the exact agreed time the driver was helpful and very polite we couldnt fault the whole process start to finish. Gorgeous interior with friendly staff. The focaccia was terrific. The mains were a bit over-salted but were good anyway. The coke could be served chilled instead of over ice. The strawberry cheesecake was delicious :)

I visited this place for desserts to make the most of the eat out scheme .. and it did not disappoint us at all.. It has been the winner for best italian restaurant for years. Along with their food, there desserts are A1. We had delizia di Dolci, a platter that includes 4 mini desserts Crème brulee, caramel cheesecake, chocolate mousse and the famous tiramisu. And we had the Passione al Cioccolato New York style chocolate brownie with Marco`s own home made tiramisu Ice cream .... AMAZING 🤤🤤

We celebrated my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary in the private dining area. Food was fantastic and service was superb. The restaurant team ensured it was a night to remember. The staff were exceptionally pleasant, considering they are now closing at 6.00 p.m. this evening. But, they are still open for carry out food. Hopefully, we will be visiting them again soon. First time customer and my 5* are as follows: * it's covid-19 times and tables sharing the long bench seat were separated with drop down clear plastic blinds. I didn't feel closed in, I could see fellow diners and it did not spoil the atmosphere in any way. * attentive service from friendly staff but not in an interrupting way. * great selection of dishes on the menu, eventually chose Minestrone followed by risotto liguria. * The Liguria was described as being asparagus but it came with broccoli or maybe I was talking too much to notice if there was asparagus in there too, but it didn't matter as it tasted amazing. I am so glad I chose that dish! * toilets were clean and I got serenaded on my way in by the cheerful server running the basement room. He made me smile. Thank you La Lanterna, you have an excellent restaurant and a return visit is definitely on the cards.

We went to La Lanterna last night to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday. It was a late booking as our plans had changed over the course of the day. The restaurant is gorgeous, bright and classy. The food is fabulous - I highly recommend the linguine pescatora - delish! The one thing that is an absolute standout, however, is the staff. They are so attentive, polite and friendly, going above and beyond the customer expectation. Like I said, a late booking. When we asked for the bill, they brought out a candlelit cheesecake, beautifully presented and the staff sang happy birthday to our daughter. Such a nice touch. We'll definitely be going back. Thanks for a great customer experience.

used to be La Parmagiana a watering hole for the great and the good. Had a remarkable make over which makes the space almost unrecognisable. Very nice bright space with a rich patina of quality and this extends to the good and service. Was there for business lunch. Service was efficient, very friendly and when need be , unobtrusive. Food was fabulous. At business lunches food is often secondary but the food here drew admiring comments from a well travelled bunch. well worth a visit. As others have said not cheap but the quality supplied would cost you double in a city like London.

While the place takes you back to a romantic scenery in Italy the menu had a few drawbacks, specially on the Tuna carpaccio, that frankly is just smoked Tuna. Also I had a chance to try the prawns and had a great, reach sauce. For main course the crab ravioli were of great flavor and the kitchen divided the dishes for us ( we ordered one to share) and was a great quantity. we also liked the selections of wines, trully, authentic Italian. Great place with excellent weekday offers, don’t miss it .

We decided to try the new Italian on great western road , we had been to the mother ship la parmigiana quite a few times over the years . Whilst the food was tasty there was no evening ambience , we felt like we were In a busy cafe with kids running around . Not what we were expecting very bright and noisy and too near other diners . Maybe daytime lunch would have been better . But definitely not an evening feel.
