Went to Nonna's with family group for a meal. There were 7 of us so we just scraped under the 10% surcharge for parties over 8. Lots of choice on the menu plus good service. Found the steak I ordered to be quite tough going as not cooked very well. Others enjoyed their meals with only 1 other saying theirs -pasta dish- wasn't very tasty. Too pricey for drinks and meals for my liking. Having said that you get what you pay for. It is a nice relaxed place and spending a couple of hours there won't break the bank. The outside seating is a pleasant area to sit and have some drinks. On paying the bill I was over charged by £50 😳 It was a mistake as the girl put in the wrong digit but if I hadn't checked the till receipt it could have been a costly mistake...for me.£££🥵

We were booked in for 12 on a sunday which was between breakfast and lunch so it did feel a long wait for the food, finished my drink before the mains came out. Presentation - see pics, lovely. Never seen a bowl like the one the POLLO SCOZZESE came in. Quality - 4/5 - it was Good. Quantity - 3/5 - Average, didnt feel like too much or too little. Value for money - Good compaired to similar places. Although the service was meh for a pretty much empty restaraunt.

Lovely outside seating area along the canal side, although small, quite appealing. Food isn't cheap but certainly worth it. My husband who is quite a plain eater said he would have paid £100 for the Mac & Cheese it was so good. Service was fast and with a smile.

We sat outside in the terrace which overlooks the canal which was nice. We ordered half pizza, half pasta Jimmy style and we couldn't finish it! Good portion sizes and really tasty pasta. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

I visited Nonna's Kitchen in Kirkintilloch for the first time on Saturday, the third of October. I was with my girlfriend and a couple of her friends. The service was excellent, the menu had plenty of choice and the food was lovely. The toilets were very nice and clean. I'd recommend Nonna's Kitchen and I'm looking forward to going back.

First time I have been here.6 of us sat outside in a booth. Staff very friendly and laughed a lot which was cheery.Food was delicious.I had a salad with avocado and prawns on skewers.Friends mostly had various pastas and goats cheese pizza.We had rosemary foccaccia on the side which we all enjoyed.A glass of wine was £6.95 so maybe better value to buy a bottle.We had taken a birthday cake in and staff brought it out with the candles lit.Its quire an extensive expensive menu however we all enjoyed everything and thought it was a great restaurant.

Very welcoming friendly staff sat us a our table took our order with excellent advice on menu. Mussels were outstanding plenty of them too in a delicious tomato chilli sugo. Washed down with an ice cold morreti on draught. We were offered a move of table by our server due to family with young kids sat next to us which we took. We then had our main courses which were superb again washed down with an ice cold moretti. Highly recommend a visit to nonna’s for authentic italian cooking.

Not been for a while, but always loved their fresh food and service. Just launched new menu this week and the food is delicious, lovely place, relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating, warm welcome and the staff are so helpful. Managed to pick up a takeaway for my teenage son, which staff organised to be ready for us leaving. My son said his takeaway was really good. I will be back soon.

Had a lovely meal with family and friends last night. Not busy as it was a Monday. Food from specials menu great value at £12.95 for two courses. Drinks quite pricey, my granddaughter had fruit shoots at £2.00 each which I thought very expensive. Food was amazing and would certainly be back. Staff lovely and very attentive. Although it was 2 days before Xmas there seemed to be more staff than was necessary. Took half hour for food but the stars reflect the food as the table next to us was for staff breaks which was loud and conversation content wasn't what I wanted to hear with my 12 year old grandson. If I'm back in Kirkintilloch then I'll go again but wouldn't actually go out my way to dine there.

Really friendly staff, one of the guys over heard me saying to another cyclist that I was by deaths door with hunger, and still had to get back to Glasgow. He let me know that although was a long wait, if I just needed something small like some garlic bread they could sort me. Absolute out lifesaver! So glad I stopped for a chat at that bench outside, the garlic bread was top notch too 😉

Really good value and lovely food. One of the best restaurant chains. Good atmosphere and good cleanliness. Mussels lovely. Pasta cooked to perfection and always really tasty. I can still taste the chocolate brownie and ice cream. Despite big portions I could have eaten the pud twice over.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is built to a high standard. Went in for lunch and it was ticking over nicely. There is a relaxed family friendly vibe in the place and some good views over the nearby Forth and Clyde canal. The lunch menu is good value for money with huge portions of well cooked and presented Italian food that has a rustic and wholesome feel to it. The creamed pea soup of the day was perfect antidote to the wintery weather outside and the leek and pancetta risotto was creamy and flavoursome. Ordered some bread and olives too- these were good quality and the portion size was huge. Too full for dessert but he cappuccino came with a chunky piece of home made tablet.

Service fast and friendly and the food is too notch Italian and with the outside sitting area has a holiday feel in warm weather, and the dessert 🍰 menu is brilliant I had a salmon wrapped in ham with broccoli and potatoes there was a half cooked tomato on top with cheese it was scrumpy. The sticky toffee pudding and my mum had the tiramissu was beautifull and the presentation on the meals were nice also sat on the main street it's easy to get to as the bus stop is next to it and if driving there is a car park across the road from it Sits in a perfect setting with the garden looking on to the canal 😀

We enjoyed our visit to Nonna's Kitchen, had 2 courses each from the à la carte menu in a nice booth with pleasant surroundings. The food was freshly cooked, decent portions and tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient. One criticism, I've tasted better Montepulciano. Parking in Kirkintilloch is at a premium but Nonna's benefits from being adjacent to Barleybank car park (G66 1JB for your sat navs) which makes life a little easier. Recommended.

Visited nonnas kitchen for 1st time on Thursday with work collegues. I had garlic bread which they forgot to add garlic too as it was just burnt toast. We also sent our main courses back four of us asked for steak well done. it arrived to us with blood dripping on plate. Sent it back and it was lovely second time round. However i would not rush back in a hurry.
