Reviews of Paesano Pizza West End
p. s.
One of the best Pizzas in town for a very good price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They always have a vegan special on the menu and the food is prepared very quickly. Interior is also nice as you can see how the pizzas are prepared. Definitely a great dinning experience!
i.
affordable and delicious pizza every time! ice cream is also very high quality and tastes fresh. the staff are always helpful and you get your food quickly. the quality of the toppings especially the ham is top notch
T. S.
Amazing pizza. I lived 12yrs in Italy and this is proper Italian pizza. Fast service, lively restaurants. Only downsides are ,sometimes, the deserts. Don't get the black forest one because it will ruin all the goodness from before. Stick to pizza and sides that are top quality.
T. G.
Really lovely staff despite hectic environment and delicious pizza, especially the crust. Be careful when ordering that your pizza has cheese on it— the aubergine one for example didn’t (but you can add it)— and don’t assume that all pizzas have cheese. A bit unusual but still delicious!

We visited on Saturday 2nd April 2022 for the first time and would certainly return again.
We did not have booking; it doesn't appear that the place takes bookings. Despite it opening midday (we arrived at 12:20), the place was quite full of people, so definitely worth to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
The staff were kind, polite and seemed to be happy working there. The place didn't seem understaffed which is a rarity. And the open plan seating didn't seem as intrusive as in other places although it was quite noisy. The toilets were clean and in order.
We had two different pizzas (numbers 4 (spicy) and 5) and drinks.
The taste was very good, but the cutlery (mainly knifes) could be sharper, we had to wrestle quite a bit.
Both cappuccino and beer were great and even the tap water tasted better than other places (or, indeed, at home).
Size of the pizza was too much for me, I wish there would have been a warning or sizing provided. I think a starter and pizza to share might be enough for me personally and cheaper as well. I couldn't finish my pizza.
I've seen a lot of people take the pizzas for takeaway during summer to share and am pretty sure I will be one of these people next summer.
I do have to note though that many people talk about how cheap the pizzas are and I am not quite in agreement. It's good quality food but I wouldn't say it is cheap. Our total including tip was around £28.

Best pizza in Glasgow! Very original. They serve only fresh food from fresh ingredients. Try the burrata with tomato, and you'll evident their freshness.
They have open kitchen you you can see how the bake their pizza. The price is affordable as well. Hands down!
M. R.
Best Pizza in whole UK! High quality ingrediens, small but fine menu and great athmosphere. Fiona was so nice and obliging!
Prices more than fair and the pizza is awesome.
C. A.
Really good pizzas with perfect crust and the tiramisu was excellent! Super quick service, and very friendly staff. My only negative is that service was so quick we felt a little rushed, but everything else was great.
V. S.
My go-to place for all pizza craving, undoubtedly the best pizza place in Glasgow. The staff are just as amazing 🥳
A. E.
I prefer this branch than the one in City centre. Authentic Italian pizza 🍕
M. P.
When you walk in, you immediately get the lively atmosphere and warm garlicky buttery smells. Service is friendly without being intrusive. The pizzas are excellent, with soft chewy crust right to the last bite and flavoursome toppings. Large and filling but none of that dial-out regret from delivered pizzas which promise so much in the photo but never taste so good half-way through.
F. S.
Superb food, best pizza i've had in a long time all in nice atmospheric settings, will definitely be back
M. L.
Excellent pizzas at good price. There is often a wait to get a table so be prepared. Wine was also good value.
L. M.
This is just as good as the one on Miller Street in Glasgow city centre. For those not in the know - this place does some of the best pizza in the city. Only difference, between this and Miller Street, is a grander building, it used to be old bank branch. So there is grand entrance, polished stone floors and stained glass skylights.
J. a.
The pizza is really great! But there aren’t many choices and the service is not great.
J. P.
Excellent pizza and wonderful service from a smiley, helpful waiter. Overall good value for money and I would come again. A busy atmosphere
N. s. M.
I love Paesano pizza but this time didn't like the staff behaviour...I can say they were quite rude to the customers...
S. “. z.
My friend wanted to beat me up for going to pizza hut. Brought me here instead and I never went back to pizza hut again. The pizzas here are amazing and not too pricey. That's why the place is always packed full of customers.
Highly recommended.
S. B.
Fantastic. Covid aware exceptional.Great pizzas , Italian open oven baked. Great prices. A far cry from your usual Pizza pickup! Don't walk past.....walk in. Staff so friendly. My first visit and will be my regular for pizza from now. Want a change from franchise recipes? Try the real deal. Wonderful xxx
D. H.
The pizzas are absolutely delicious and out of this world due to the great use of wood fire ovens. Service was great as well and the ambient environment suits well too. Definitely a big recommendation. 10/10 👍
k. d.
Keeping it simple..pizza that tastes great and served quick! Though please add some coke zero to your soft drinks menu! Great tasting and filling!
F. F.
Great authentic Italian pizza. No fuss but doesn’t need any as pizza is amazing.
4/5 * as I think when you add on ingredients is quite pricey. But otherwise we’d be back in a heartbeat
A. S.
Good price, fantastic pizzas and lovely service.
Be mindful if visiting at peak times as it can be extremely busy - may have to pop in, reserve a time and come back as they don't take advance bookings.
M. L.
Real Neapolitan pizza, the original peasant food, fabulously presented in a charming environment, what was a former banking hall. Beautiful place, authentic menu and specials, well priced, conveniently close to the subway.
R. K.
Best pizzas in the world! Visited Paesano in the Westend on many occasions. The pizza here is consistently amazing because all the ingredients they use comes from Italy And I'm not even a pizza lover yet I love a Paesano Pizza! Gr8 atmosphere, staff always attentive and polite. This is making me hungry!
S. R.
Usually this place is really busy with queues out the door but on Sunday it was much quieter. Pizzas were delicious and came relatively quickly. Great place.
D. w.
Got a walk in table for 5 today, really friendly staff and a great atmosphere, the server was quick to welcome us and take our drink's order, no pressure to take our food order. When the food arrived it was simply delicious and very fairly priced. Thanks to all. We will be back.
N. a. S. S.
Busy and bustling. But the waiting staff are excellent. The pizzas are fantastic with really tasty and authentic toppings and perfectly cooked bases.
L. C.
I am not a huge fan of pizza, but this one was amazing!!!
S. D.
Everything here seems good. Very lively spot The west end was the one we were in. No booking so arrive and take your chances. If you really cannot wait the 10-40 minutes you can get takeaway within 10 mins. Pizza is very good nice sourdough bases. Specials each day. And best of all amazing values with pizza averaging £7.
V. S.
Really good service, amazing pizzas! Very good for veggie options too. Had the delicious tiramisu cake for dessert as well.
S. K.
The menu is limited, but they make lovely fresh pizzas from wood fired pizza ovens. Service was quick, and friendly.
F.
Friendly staff, great pizzas. Very busy, even at 5.30 on a Saturday but seated after a short wait. Would return.
E. M.
A fantastic night out in a vibrant restaurant.
This restaurant fitted with an authentic italian oven , can deliver a great pizza and focaccia.
i was trully pleased when the staff allowed us to change a few ingredients and make the pizza how we like it.
For starters we had salads and the ingredients were very fresh.
Also we enjoyed our focaccia with their own Home Made spicy olive oil that took us back to our visits to Italy.
Very welcoming pizza place to share with friends and family!
J. T.
Cracking pizzas ( and I do like a good pizza ) fast efficient staff, a great busy atmosphere and did I mention the pizza ?
All Neopoloitan heritage ingredients and great value explains why this place was so busy on a dark, wet, windy, February Tuesday night. It even had a small queue !
2 pizzas, 2 drinks, and the tip £21.
I would gladly return and recommend without hesitation, so if you're in Glasgow and you like pizza - don't miss this place.
G. S. E. F.
Friendly, attentive, authentic. First timers checking Paesano out for my missus birthday. A nice Friday afternoon 2pm. Big spacious layout for the former bank. Staff were very attentive and friendly to us. One small "mistake" in our starter and the whole thing was remade from scratch and taken off the bill. Top level surprising customer service. They put the customers first.
Staff explain the menu to you and also the difference of the specials etc.
Thank you again for the raspberry cheesecake as birthday surprise for Shabeena! Lovely!
We'll be back!!
Ps. Portion size... Very good!!
K. K.
Best Naples style pizza in Glasgow. No queue when I was here, although I've heard there can be one. Definitely worth it. Great price per value.
A. T.
Excellent pizza, i would've loved if they did fries as side option or any other variety of sides. But fantastic atmosphere. No booking on the phone, or pizza collection. You would need to drop in.
F. M.
Can be very busy at times, but a great spot for pizza lovers! Fresh, quality and authentic ingredients at a reasonable price on a simple menu. The store does feel very cramped, almost squashed in to an extent, that and the busy tables with unnecessary items (a huge metal tin that takes up 1/5 of the table just to house your cutlery, napkins, and cutter) it just feels more of a get in get out, there is no relaxation to going out and enjoying their great food.

A story of a happy happy stomach:
I came across Paesano Pizza while strolling in Glasgow's West End on a Thursday morning.
Came in, sat at the bar, and was approached immediately with a smile.
The menu promises traditional, perfectly baked Italian pizza, sourcing only the best Italian ingredients and even having an Italian pizzaeoli in the kitchen.
To say Paesano delivers on that promise is an understatement. The pizza dough was perfect, crisp on the outside, puffy, soft, with that sweet tangy taste of sourdough on the inside. Beautiful Mozzarella, and enticing sauce.
The service was super quick and friendly even though the place was obviously packed and bustling. The open kitchen draws the eye. All the pizza preparation is made to order.
It's clear that Paesano's owners have real love for Italian pizza. Well done.
M. B.
Yup, noisy. Fantastic pizza though and the staff were welcoming and friendly and the general organisation really good. If you are audibly challenged probably best to avoid, not conducive to meaningful conversation, but lovely all the same, and nice to see Glasgow’s range of interesting eating places.
S. r.
Amazing place with amazing food and very friendly staff! I had the goat cheese pizza with aubergine, and it was delicious !!
N. R.
Lovely freshly cooked pizza! Very prompt service, very enjoyable
J.
Proper Italian pizza approved by an Italian friend! The bread was nicely baked and they put plenty of ingredients on it. I loved the Italian cooked ham! My friend ordered spicy pepperoni and it was also great. One pizza was quite a big portion for girls so do consider sharing.
E. G.
We enjoyed with family our pizzas..
Fabulous staff.. the manager was really committed with all the customers. The Pizza was delicious and all toppings fresh and tasty.. definitely the best pizza place in town
A. M.
The place is always busy, but you can tell why. The food is amazing, pizza's are so authentic and taste just like they should. Staff are always soo lovely.
I will definitely be back many times.
S. R.
Friendly waiters, fast service, good prices and fresh pizza. Recommended!
N. M.
Best Pizza place in Glasgow, food was delicious & service has been top from all staff. Special thank you to Kyle (hope I've spelled that correctly) in a pandemic me and the wife was surprised to see two free deserts at our table as a way of saying congratulations on your wedding. I've always said the Scots are more generous than the British 😆 definitely will be back for more free deserts lol
A. W.
First time visitor. Really impressed. Lovely Neapolitan pizzas. Friendly and efficient service. Really good vibe to the place - and very reasonable prices. Definitely recommended.
D. A.
Fantastic service from all members of staff that dealt with us! Delicious food as always and at a great price too. Prefer this branch to the one in the city centre.
L. P.
Really expected a little more from somewhere so in demand that they don't take bookings (yes, really).
The pizza is very much passable, with a chunky southern Italian crust, and the topping choices are good. I like that the menu isn't too long and they keep it authentic ingredient-wise. My complaint would be that this just isn't put together like a top class Italian pizza (and as an Italian I've eaten a lot of pizza!).
For example, my girlfriend paid extra to upgrade her cheese to mozzarella di bufala and it was just placed on top in flat discs which didn't seem stringy at all. Also, crucially, there was no pepper grinder to be seen and no offer of one. It's a pizzeria: give the people olive oil and pepper!
L. L. M.
Fantastic atmosphere, efficient service and more importantly the true and authentic Neapolitan Pizza. A wee gem in the buzzing Glasgow's West End. An absolute must.
k. c.
Everybody has a different expectation of the perfect pizza and here it doesn't really fulfil mine.
Taste wise it's not bad but the base is so thin the sauce which isn't too loaded on makes it a bit soggy so it's knife and fork time or use two hands and be sloppy.
The bit I really didn't like is the bottom of the base is covered in charcoal.
Now I know they use real wood in the fires but at least someone can scrape the oven more frequently as my hands were covered in the black stuff , so be careful and not wipe your hands anywhere except a tissue.
On the other hand I did say the taste wasn't bad and it was cheap at around £6 a pizza
D. T.
Outstanding pizza, best I've ever had, thoroughly deserving of its reputation and very well priced. Every element of the pizza was superb.
P. 6.
Great pizza, nice atmosphere and great value 👍
J. c.
I had heard so many good reviews ?
Takeaway ham and pepperoni . ( salami)
I asked the girl what size were the pizzas , 14" she said ,definitely easy pleased . 10" ! 12" at a push .
Crust had a mass of dough and under cooked .
Disappointed 😞
D. A. G.
I’ve been to the sister location in the city centre and this one is just as good!
The menu is the same, as is the quality.
The pizza dough is something special, and the quick-fire service gets it to you as fast as possible.
And as usual, the price was much lower than they could get away with.
C. J.
Best pizza spot ever!
The menu is simple with about 10 options for toppings including specials. This means you get your pizza quickly every time - though staff are accommodating if you want to add or remove a particular topping from your pizza.
Serve is efficient and the pizzas are always delicious. The base is thin but not too crispy. They are generous with toppings too.
I love the balsamic onions and the ricotta as sides. One thing I do wish they offered was extra dips for the crust!
They offer lovely ice cream for pudding and there’s also specials of different cakes.
Peasano is walk in only and at busy times you’ll need to queue for a table - but the tables turn over quickly so usually not for too long
e.
Simply awesome! Incredibly delicious pizza, super friendly staff and even when there’s a take-away queue: super fast.
R. L.
One of the best pizzas I have ever had. The whole place smells amazing when you walk in and the food was incredible.
C. P.
Having lived in Italy, I have a fairly high standard when it comes to Italian food. Was genuinely surprised with the quality of pizzas from Paesano’s! About as close to a real Neapolitan pizza as I’ve found outside of Italy. The prices are also reasonable, starting from about £6. The West End branch is slightly less busy than the one in the city centre and so we walked in and got a table. However, best to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
P. L. D. L. O.
Lovely place and lovely sraff! They are making sure that everyone follows the 2m social distance, they take your temperature in the entrace with a machine, and doing everything with a smile! Pizzas are amazing of course and really good price!
Thank you so much for your hard work in this pandemic!
C. C.
Great pizza and a good vibe, had to wait for a table but staff were welcoming and nice.
e. c.
This is the second time I've been here and it was wedged on a Monday evening! The pizza was lovely. Efficient and friendly staff.
P. S.
Never been let down by their pizza even once. Simple menu + specials. Always great service too even when busy!
A. S.
Condiments and vegetables taste very nice and fresh! Italian friends said Paesano has even better pizza than what they had at home! I will just take their words on that.
Z.
Probably the best pizzeria in Glasgow.
Smaller sized but perfect taste, thinner base but balanced toppings.
A. W.
As someone from New York I have to say this is delicious! Also pretty affordable as sit down places go and you get a ton of pizza.
P. I.
Amazing place to have a quick (or slow) bite. Tasty food and a good selection of beers and wines. Lovely and polite service! I would highly recommend! One of the best pizza places in Glasgow.
S. H.
Fab - you don’t get pizza like this anywhere else! Base is really unique & I love the topping options. Super helpful staff, they are able to properly help you with toppings (don’t make you feel like a burden at all) so so great for veggies🥰This Paesano is the best in Glasgow in my opinion! Much prefer it to the other franchises. Definitely recommend coming to this one if visiting Paesano for the first time. Inside of the restaurant is beautiful & such a nice vibe. Great service too! Would give 6 stars if I could 😌
D. S.
The best pizza in Glasgow! Great, quick service and can't complain about the prices. Generally busy at lunch and dinner times so prepare to wait a few minutea for a table sometimes, but the wait is worth it. If you like pizza, you'll love Paesano.
I. M.
Located in Great Western Road, this pizza place has stolen the hearts of many, here, in Glasgow. I have always witnessed the longest queue at this outlet. I had been there with my friends three months ago. The wait in the queue was more than worth when I got to taste the amazing pizza. Thin crust, very filling and absolutely delicious. Beyond good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for amazing pizzas made with great combination of different varieties of cheese. Love love love this place. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
E.
Best pizza in Scotland hands down. Regularly make the drive through from Edinburgh just to go here! Very well priced and extremely tasty.
J. B.
Been here alot of times
Consistently good
Authentic Neapolitan Pizza
No question the best pizza ive had (been to Naples and try naepolitan everywhere I go if available)
J. M.
Fantastic pizzas with a quick order to table time that doesn't impact quality. A definite must try.
C. M.
Best pizza in Glasgow. Authentic delicious Naples style pizza. Excellent service. Fantastic deserts as well.
S. M.
Visited this great pizza place last night, been coming here for a while now; this being the Westend version of the restaurant chain. Only beer or wine available for alcohol choices, simple but effective. The menu is also straight forward but the pizza combinations are well thought out and incredibly flavoursome. Sometimes the base gets a little sloppy and floppy but it's still nice, this is only a minor gripe. Lovely big open kitchen where you're almost invited in to witness all the action around their massive woodfire pizza oven which of course adds to your dining experience. They don't mess about in here with service either, they can have your pizza on your table in under 5 mins which is great. Staff are laid back but efficient. I can easily recommend this great value for money and welcoming pizza joint. Go for it, you won't regret it.
R. G.
Just like city centre Paesano Pizza the food was delicious and the service was good. The table setup is a bit claustrophobic, but I'd rather that then waiting another 30 minutes for a table.
If you are seated next to say, American volume (as an American it took me a while of living over here to realise just how loud we are), which is likely so close to the university, you will be able to make out their entire conversation.
A.
Delicious Italian food, authentic pizza and the service was incredible. The floor manager did an amazing job organising those that were waiting to be seated when the place was super busy.
P. H.
Fantastic service, incredibly quick as the pizzas only take 90seconds in the 500 degree Pizza oven. Nice open plan and great that you get to watch the chefs at work.
D. E.
Two friends recommended this place so we gave it a go for an early dinner when on a day trip to the city. We asked if we could book a table, walk ins only but the manager Rob (who was at front of house) said he'd be sure to find us a seat when we got back. True to his word he did, even though people were queuing out of the door when we returned, he made sure we got seated fairly quickly (easier as we were a party if 2). Really busy. Great atmosphere and our server Francesca was also really helpful explaining what options we had (basiclly do what you want to your pizza!) All in all great place, excellent staff and delicious pizza (which is good cold the next day too!)
J. T.
Distinctly average; don't believe the hype.
I've been here twice now and the pizzas were ok. Nice and chewy, sauce was tasty, but soggy, everything slides off and it's a bit 'wet' if that makes sense. Also, the option to 'upgrade your mozzarella' was a bit distasteful imo.
J. W.
Loved the pizza — very authentic and great tasting pizza. Vibe was awesome and our kids loved it. Definitely try it out when you on the West End of Glasgow.
A. S.
Good but not “wow” pizza.
Waiters play their bell. Ding ding ding, very noisy.
R. P.
Absolutely amazing pizzas and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend anyone to go here.
L. P.
Nice pizza place for neapolitan pizza. The service was ok, prices affordable and the pizza was great.
Many young people were at the place and we will definitely come back with a group of friends as soon as it is allowed again.
J. F.
Service was great from Anya and company was good. Food was good for a light dinner. I did find the tables very close together, which would be uncomfortable if you are naturally an introvert. The music seemed to get louder as the night went on which was ok but with loud music comes loud speaking. I probably would get a takeaway next time.
S. C.
Paesano pizzas are arguably the best in Glasgow, actually make that Europe (excluding Italy of course), wait, probably including Italy after all.... OK, let's face it, they are the best pizzas in the world!
S. P.
Great place for a pizza. Lovely food, busy and buzzing, definitely recommend it.
E. W.
Been coming here for years, and the pizza is without a doubt fantastic, but the tables are now closer together than pre-pandemic, and they played the music loud when I was there. It was hard to enjoy the pizza in that environment. Also, we were approached by the waiter within less than a minute of sitting down, and then again immediately after we finished eating, seems like they are mostly concerned with flipping tables rather than providing a pleasant experience. I'll probably not be back for a long time.
S. M.
The best pizzas ever.
D. D.
Best pizza in Glasgow 😉😋
M. F.
Very nice and friendly environment.
Customer service is good, fast and welcoming.
Pizza is absolutely amazing and has a price in line with the competitors.
True Italian experience.
D. G.
Been twice, it's the best pizza in town without a doubt, you can't get better dough than that. Well done guys, your food is top notch
K. S.
Very tasty pizza place. Loved the atmosphere and the service was good too.
C. W.
Very good pizza for a very good price. Ideal for a pre-cinema or night out meal, it’s relaxed and unassuming.
The waiting staff are always friendly and I usually find myself ordering one of the specials, which they regularly change and keep interesting.
I like to book everything in advance, which isn’t an option here - walk-ins only - but admittedly I’ve never been unable to get a table.
I did take a star off for comfort though. It’s a large space which is quite compact, sort of like a beer hall but nicely lit and decorated. So the noise can be quite loud when busy. I’m also not one for benches or stools, and don’t like sharing tables with strangers. However if you aren’t looking to “dine” then this shouldn’t bother you too much.
J. M.
Great pizza as usual. Friendly, fast and efficient service.
K.
Great food, excellent service and relaxing atmosphere. Can't be faulted.
C. C.
Good pizza, very big, took half away in a box for the next night. Friendly staff.
D. M.
Outstanding pizzeria with the best sourdough base in the country. Popped in today with a friend and the specials board was calling…. Yellow sun dried tomato base made it one of the best pizzas I’ve had. Staff are amazing and the food is to die for. Keep up the amazing work.
G. F.
Brilliant pizza and service on what was a fully booked and packed restaurant on a Saturday night at 7pm. Staff attentive and prompt with service. Bill (most expensive pizza £10) brought without a fuss. May be a little to packed in for some people's taste during covid, however, masks worn and partitions in between 1metre spaced tables. A must for Pizza fans. Will be back 100%
P. G.
Pizza okay. Good service. Not a great atmosphere far too noisy.
C. H.
Have only ever gotten take out from here, pizza is decent, it could do with longer in the oven as the slices can get quite runny/slippy
J. W.
Pizza here is on a soft base almost like naan. The toppings were good as well.
The only drawback is no booking so having to que. If you're with someone who can't stand for long periods then give this a miss. Up there with some of the best pizzas I've had from across the world, so if you can wait it's worth it.
T. P.
Close to real Italian pizza but not quite there. Two pizzas had no salt, one (with anchovies and capers) was on the verge of too salty. The cheese was bland and had no texture. One pizza was burnt on the underside and the base itself was too tough. Not bad overall.
N. H.
Great pizza - superb flavours. Good value. Willl definitely be back 😀
S. C.
Great addition to the west end, pizzas are great, service was quick and friendly and prices were great, excellent value for money but it's not quite 5 stars as Pizzas were a little 'soggy' but it's just opened and very tasty so just go.
K.
One of the best pizza places I've ever been to. Amazing!
P. P.
Wow wow wow !!!
We were visiting Glasgow from ireland and forgot to book a table somewhere. We stumbled across this place and couldn’t believe the Q. It was all for takeaway which was a good sign to start’! The guys said we could come back at 8:45… we had the best meal ever!!!!! Wow! Such good value, service and food! We had the best service from a guy who we think may have been on trial there.. so If the manager sees this HE MADE OUR NIGHT!! So polite , helpful and efficient 10/10!!!
W. B.
The food is second to none! Everyone knows that. I was prompted to write this review after the service I received yesterday. A member of my party has tourettes so, knowing this can cause some friction, I decided to call ahead. I spoke to Fiona and she immediately took a friendly, positive and pro-active approach to making sure our visit went as smooth as possible. When we turned up she happened to be on the door and she made sure everything was sorted for us. Her colleagues were just as good at sorting us out. It couldn’t have gone any better. Many thanks to everyone at Paesano West!
L. S.
Amazing quality pizza! Busy with good reason.
M. G.
Really the best pizza ever outside of Italy. Wood fired oven. Pizzaiolo making lovely thin based crusty edge pizzas from fresh dough. Classic toppings. I had one with ventricina. A spicy pork sausage from Abruzzo where I lived for a few years. Awesome. Great service and atmosphere. Really 5 star.
M. H.
One of the best pizzas I've had in glasgow. The place is load but expected with he amount of people they had in. Was surprisingly busy for a mid week but service was still very quick.
V.
First time in Westend and the pizza was soooo good! Staff very friendly!
D. F.
Staff excellent. They forgot about us and didn't bring our pizzas but when I mentioned we'd been waiting ages they were mortified and gave them to us for nothing which really was unnecessary as accidents happen! But it was very kind. I've been loads and it's always been great so this was an outlier. One little thing, I would love it if they would go a little heavier on veggie toppings when you all for them instead of a few single spinach leaves!
P. C.
Nice place, nice pizza, good price but my only negative is that they don't have a great variety
S. L.
Great quality pizzas !! Very good service
J. B.
Tasty pizza! Not as busy as the other location on Miller Street. You get a lot for your money.
X. M.
This is the best best best pizza in Glasgow.
M. R. S.
Pizza usually turns out great. Been there over 30 times and there has been a few times when the pizza was not as good as it usually is. Good warm atmosphere and service is quick. I only wish they did the smoked mozzarella pizza more often.
r. t.
Best pizza in Glasgow (at least that I've tried so far). I'm always surprised there aren't more decent pizza places in Glasgow. Paesano's is usually a bit chaotic but the pizzas speak for themselves and the prices are very reasonable. I also like how it's open late on weekends, which is probably a good thing given how long you can end up waiting!
E. C.
Doesn't take reservations, however, any amount of waiting will be so worth it. The food is exceptional, (if it's available, don't forget to get the cheesecake for dessert!!), service is always good and it's good value for money. Would strongly recommend it for casual date nights, but it's also a very good family place.
A. W.
Best pizza in the uk hands down! The staff are amazing, food is superb, pricing is unreal and it’s always quick, fresh and will make you smile! Well done peeps! Keep up the outstanding work!
T. C.
Cool place, decent quality pizza, not too expensive, will go back
K. C.
It was my first time and I absolutely loved it! Delicious pizza, friendly staff and prompt service. If you're a pizza lover you can't miss this place!
M. W.
Excellent pizza, my Italian fiance agrees too! Been back twice since and it remains as good as ever.
J.
So I heard that Paesano was the best pizza in town, and headed out to lunch with my wife.
The pizza was exceptionally Italian - you couldn't get closer unless you were in Italy. My wife, being celiac, ordered a combination of different sides - delicious artichokes, olives and salad.
The menu was WELL priced and totally worth it, service was good. Recommend.
M. S.
Food & service was brilliant in here, very fast service even when busy. 👍
D. N.
Amazing pizza place. Worked fairly quickly and accommodated for intolerance very well. Lovely place to go if you want to take out, or sit in for a nice lunch
E. s.
Quite disappointed - had the vibe of a pizza express but with sourdough pizza which was a shame as had a lot of promise
B. G.
Fantastic pizza and great service
S. B.
Exquisite pizza, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. You may need to wait briefly to get a table - because it is so popular - but it is worth the wait. Tasty food, large portions but low prices
K. J.
Absolutely lovely food and staff. Unfortunately I had a glass which had cracked and cut my lip and the staff could not have done more! It could have happened to anyone and they dealt with it efficiently and without fuss. What a brilliant and delicious establishment. Thank you so much, we'll be back soon!
C. I.
Really quick and friendly service and 5 OUTSTANDING pizzas for my daughters 16th Birthday. Highly recommend this place!
A. B.
Special place for pizza(amazing),great service stuff
J. M.
Great food, great service, difficult to find parking in the area.
C. G.
Really good pizza, nice atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. A little loud inside.
G. R.
Google thought I had visited this pizza restaurant but in fact I was parked across the road and shopping in near by shops.
I’ve never been to Paesano but I pass it often.
During the lockdowns of the pandemic I was always amazed at the number of people queuing up to order and waiting to collect their food outside this place. If that is any way to judge Paesano then I recon it must be 5 stars and I must pay it a visit soon
D. S.
Eating on the spot, I remembered the real Italian pizza from years ago.
j. r.
Really great pizza with fresh toppings. Service was quick and the pizza was done so quickly. The crust was amazing as well.
d. r.
Great service excellent pizza would certainly recommend this place.
P. D.
Seated quickly, great pizza and the ice cream is magic!
I. H.
It's more around a 3.5.
The dough and base was great.
Little bit of a queue on Friday night, once ordered the service was very quick.
Price and portion were good, £7 for the Margherita.
The chilli oil was good.
However, the tomato base was lacking in flavour.
F. C.
Great Pizza and excellent service - will be going again!
K. B.
Absolutely love this place, pizza is always amazing. The only thing is that prices of the pizza have risen quite a bit and the veggie one (6) is one of the most expensive now. In any other place, veggie options are usually the cheapest!! 😭😭
K. J.
Amazing pizza, awesome service, really lovely inside and very reasonably priced. Parking isn't too bad, you can probably find something if you're willing to walk a few blocks.
E. M.
Go here often and never had a bad experience, food and service is always 10/10
C.
Best pizza in town. Always fast service, always tasty & never disappoints. 👌🏽
R. P.
Very good pizza and sides, highly recommended the balsamic pickled onions, gets very busy
G. O.
Would have preferred it more cooked so mention that. Otherwise nice and hot and quick takeaway service.
E. L.
Affordable pizzas and good service. Perfect for a quick lunch.
P. C.
Very impressed with the food and the speed of service here. Ordered and served my pizza and wine within 10 minutes of arriving.
Even better was the quality of the pizza served.
F. M.
Good food, freshly made, fast service, reasonably priced.
Z. N.
I had number 8, the mushroom spinach ricotta etc.
The base was so soft, the ingredients just perfect!
Would highly recommend the restaurant if you want an authentic pizza night out.
(Apologies for the photo, I just wanted to dig in and only took the one 😂)
G. D.
Easily, the best pizza in the world. I can comfortably say that we have ate here every single week we have been in Glasgow, since it opened. Even during the pandemic when our tradition was to eat outside the restaurant on GWR in the van and people watch. We love Paesano so much, our top table at our wedding was named after this place. Our wedding gifts vouchers were comfortably weighted towards Paesano and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Best place ever.
M. M.
Amazing Staff, THE BEST pizza I've had in Glasgow. Also reasonably priced
Overall I would recommend this place to anyone that like pizza
P. B.
Tasty pizza, quick service, great atmosphere!
Z. R.
A most incredible pizza I'm my opinion. Had a Margarita. I kid you not, one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten.
G. C.
Very very good pizza, very attentive staff and efficient service. Nothing bad to say.
t. l.
Not the best pizza in the world (missing a bit of moist) but probably the best you can get in Glasgow! And it is very, very reasonably priced (9 gbp for the pizza!). Friendly staff. Thank you Paesano. Enjoyed my time here.
R. T.
Nice pizza and very Friendly staff.
J. G.
Poor topping coverage detracted from perfect pizza experience 🍕
K. O.
Pizza is always amazing but....we ordered pizza without cheese as my daughter is allergic to dairy products ( that was brought to staff attention) so we ordered vegan oreo dessert.once we got it I was surprised that it comes with ice cream. I have tried it and it takes it like proper vanilla dairy ice cream.
As I was concerned I checked with staff member if its dairy free. I have been told its not. I was shocked how they can serve vegan cake with dairy ice cream. That's serious and dangerous!!!!Unfortunately that spoiled out experience. Please make sure that ipeople ar aware of it and that information is really misleading
A. N.
Absolutely great pizza . Service friendly fast and efficient. Great venue. Visited this place over-the-counter years and consistently excellent.
J. R.
I can never really fault this place. Great food at really good prices. Best pizza in the UK.
J. H.
The food is delicious, the staff welcoming and professional, and the portions are large for the price. I cannot recommend Paesano highly enough!
M. P.
Whilst the dough was wonderfully cooked, and the mozzarella was creamy with ample stretch, I found the pizza sauce seriously lacking.
It was neither rich or seasoned enough to compliment the cheese. Nor was it plentiful enough to aptly moisten the bread.
A. A.
Staff were okay, our server in particular wasn't great at all. Had better things to do at every moment, served us our food and didn't ask us if we wanted salt, pepper, oil. Had to go looking then was told to sit back down, nice. Seemed very flippant and uninterested during a steady early dinner period.
Heard bad things about this place in the past and hoped to be proven wrong, Peasano Pizza, clues in the name; Treated like peasants.
Pizza was good.
R. B.
Fantastic best pizza I've ever had,and I normally don't like pizza 🍕 ha ha
T. S.
Nice restaurant, no booking required and tables available although quite busy. Visited on a Tuesday afternoon. Tasty pizzas and good service. The only place to go if you're wanting pizza in Glasgow!...
S. B.
Best pizza in Glasgow, so good we went twice in a week!
D.
This pizza is amazing. A very Italian style 🤤🤤🤤🤤 Fresh ingredients, and the prices match their quality. The only thing here is the waiting time! It's always very crowded 😅 But highly recommended!
N. N.
Very busy over weekend. Good pizza but could have done with more firing. Ours were not crispy enough.
S. S.
Really big hand made pizzas, made fresh on the premises, with all fresh high quality ingredients and toppings. No wonder they're busy all the time!!!
Also the atmosphere there is noisy with everyone talking and having a great time, it's hard to hear the cool music playing quietly in the background !
All of us in our group had different pizzas and we were all impressed.
We all recommend - Go there !
G.
The pizza was top quality, and at an excellent price! The staff where efficient and delivery fast. I would bring the music volume down a tad, but the playlist was great
C.
Pizza so good that every other pizza won't even come close. There's something about the ingredients and the way that they're cooked and finished in the oven that gives everything a really rich a sharp flavour. It's a nice place to be in too, however at the weekend there's competition to get seated and expect to have to put your name down to come back within 30 minutes to an hour. Lots of bars and cafes close by though to keep your evening going before you get in. Price is also incredible for the pizza you will get.
L. H.
Great pizza, with fresh thin base. Limited choice but quality and great service. Atmosphere buzzing so it's popular and you may have to wait. No reservations but if you go to the reception put your name down you will get a time to eat and local pubs great for a quick beer beforehand. Price wise very good value for monney.
E. B.
Great pizza, but always queues…
Z. S.
Definitely the best in town.
(update:The best I have ever been to.)
K.
Incredible pizza! Upon arrival I asked for a table, after which my temperature was checked, and I was let in. After ordering the pizza arrived very quickly, probably less than 5 minutes! Probably the best pizza I've had, and low prices compared to many other places. Very much recommended!
P. D.
Amazing stone baked pizza. Eat in. Take out. Reservations not required, they run a waiting list system. Usually table turn over is quick. They are happy to switch up pizza toppings if the menu doesn't quite take your fancy, however their selection should no doubt have something for everyone. Not your typical pizza toppings either, this is what I love about it.
W. K.
Magical Pizza. First experienced this little slice of heaven this afternoon. I went for a number 3 with Ricotta dippage.
R. G.
Definitely one of the best pizza in Glasgow. No bookings so be prepared to wait, but its definitely worth it.
O. F.
Simple menu with a hybrid dough that is the best I have ever eaten. Filling and flavourful. The specials are always good and there are good vegetarian and vegan options. Beer and wine are reliable - though you will probably have to wait for a table at any time of the day or night as this place is always rammed. Reasonable prices make it our favourite.
S. H.
Okay I’ve never been to Italy but this was the best Margherita pizza I’ve ever had!!! I was blown away at how good this place was and so well priced. I really don’t think you could go wrong with a single pizza here.
A. R.
Amazing pizzas! Thin sour dough bases with a limited range of good quality fresh toppings, this place is always packed. You don't reserve a table, you just queue until a table is free.
This isn't a place to linger, this is what fast food should be; just the basics, but done really well. Great value for money.
E. T.
Outstanding pizza, lllove this place! Laidback service with a smile in a beautiful setting.
T. M.
Personally, I really enjoyed Paesano's and would definitely recommend and would happily go again. The service was very quick and the food is delicious. They have a wide range of pizzas and other dishes.
S. N.
The first time I have eaten a whole pizza they are amazing. A great buzz about the place. Busy but still have time for there customers. No booking but quite a quick turn over. Very good value. Limited menu but if you like pizza you wont care.
R. B.
Tasty food with great value for money. Even let me take my remaining slices home to finish at a later date. Very good restaurant indeed.
M. A.
The pizza was very very good, although a bit difficult to eat without a knife and fork. Staff were kind and service was fairly quick, especially for how full the restaurant was.
e. o.
The best pizza in the UK and just as good or better than in Italy. Worth to wait for the table. Staff is friendly and very quick. The choice is not huge, but that's exactly what makes it authentic. Wonderful olives and olive oil could be served as a drink. The ingredients scream 'i am fresh' and the ambience although quite loud is contributing and working well with fast pacing service. Absolutely favorite pizza experience since my visit to favourite pizza places in Brooklyn NY
S. M.
Super tasty pizzas, had one visit with super quick service (under 10 mins from order to eating) and one super slow service (more like 45 mins from order to eating). Menu is a bit limited, but if you like whats there, it's great
G. M.
Today's special great idea. We enjoyed so much last time.
S. A.
The best wood fired pizza I have ever tried. The wood fired aroma is something I can't describe. I have enjoyed every single slice.
J. R.
Excellent freshly made pizza and a diverse range of toppings. The quality of the toppings used are of a high standard and base is exceptional. Can be a little crowded but I think this actually adds to the dining experience. If you get there and there is a wait for the table it is well worth waiting.
A. H.
Excellent pizzas and I have heard this is how pizzas are supposed to be in Italy that they even get some of their ingredients from there. They taste great and are really quite different from what we have had at typical pizza places around the world excluding Italy. They also have excellent soft ice cream. You will enjoy the taste and come back. One thing to watch for is the place has limited seating so if you are thinking of sitting in be warned that it can get crowded and waiting times can be long. Fortunately they have a takeaway service. Staff are friendly and overall ambiance is nice.
C. M.
Yum, yum, yum and yum again. Best quality/price combination pizza in town. If any others are as good, they aren't any better and will cost more. Same goes for city centre branch. If you want to go out for pizza, try here first. Of course with no reservations and it being this good, you may have to choose between waiting half an hour or going somewhere else 😱...... Good luck with that...
O. K.
This is my second trip to a Paesano Restaurant and my first trip to the one in the west end. The pizza was amazing, some of the best pizza I've had in years.
I ordered a modified version of the special and it turned up really quickly, so quickly I'd have been concerned if it weren't for the fact that I'd ordered off the menu.
The desert selection was a little disappointing although the ice cream was nice.
They don't accept reservations so you have to turn up and hope that you get a table.
E. M.
Always onevof the best (Napoli style) pizzas in Glasgow with usually a fast service. We go there when we want to treat ourselves. 😋
M. C.
There was a pool of slimy liquid in the middle of my grandsons pizza.
Hes been before and they get their takeaways. I shouldve sent it back
P. S.
Rated "Best pizza in the UK" - by trip advisor and they are probably not wrong.
The sourbread pizza dough is 24h proved and has a fantastic crisp whiling being tasty and chewy.
The ingredients are simple but by far the best.
The sauce is excellent and the extra £1 for the buffalo mozzarella is totally worth it. It's soo buttery and tasty.
Having tried all the toppings, it's difficult to decide which topping as they are also amazing.
There are no table bookings go and wait about 20mins for a table. Update - the place has gotten very popular so table wait times can be up to 1:30h.
They do take out and the pizzas lend well to being reaheaded in the oven at max temp for about a min or so. In order to be covid friendly you are asked to wait outside, bring a brolly
Sunday is great for parking on the street otherwise it's very difficult to find a space.
There are spaces just along the side road by Paesano you can park after 6pm and 6:30pm on the main road.
K. S.
Amazing pizza and balsamic onions are worth the visit alone!
N. N.
Great proper Italian pizza, place is always busy and bustling with people whenever i go in or walk past. You might have to wait for a table but not for long, staff are really efficient and you can watch the chefs at work while they make the pizza. Also they have paper straws in the drinks, doin their bit for the environment ;) great place
J. H.
It was a very busy evening, but there seemed to be a good system of booking a table as you arrived and then given a time to return. As a table of 5 we got seated surprisingly quickly. Quick efficient service and pizza was fantastic. Excellent value for money and I'd definitely go back.
J.
Excellent pizzas and friendly staff/good service. Only issue is limited choice. Could do with 2 pasta dishes in there.
M. C.
I have to say this is one of the better pizza places in Glasgow however the quick 500deg oven makes the pizza base soggy for my taste. The staff is nice as well. The price is reasonable. For a couple generally one pizza should be enough unless you are hungry. I must say the place comes with unnecessary hipster names making tomato sauce and cheese sound like a michellan star sauce which it is not.
G. S. T.
Delicious pizza. Terrific staff. Great price. The specials are always exciting.
This is a must visit if you’re in Glasgow, and a great restaurant for a meal with friends or a dinner date!
Highly recommend it
S. J.
Had a lovely meal here last weekend. Very friendly and quick service and the food was amazing. Great atmosphere in the restaurant too. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
G.
As usual Paesano was excellent, I only wish they would add their amazing vegan specials to their main menu as you never know if they are going to be available when you visit. Also would it hurt to offer vegan mozzarella? I mean seriously?
G. M.
No words to describe fabulous attention to customers by staff and the outstanding quality of the pizzas... I'd gladly eat them everyday for the rest of my life... and I'm only 5! 🥰🥃🤣
D. c.
The pizzas are sublime thats all you need to know.
A. M.
Nice food, Friendly staff took my daughter as she is a pizza lover. She loved this place. The food arrived very quickly
I. G.
Paesano's are currently (10.01.2021) open for takeaway pizza, and are following social distancing measures. Can also order for delivery, but these pizzas must be cooked at home. Always lived pizzas from here, they taste fresh and delicious, for a really great price. Choice of toppings is not massive but I couldn't recommend them more. Used to enjoy eating in here and would always have a refreshing beer, they have lovely italian beers on offer. On Great Western Road
m. K.
Best pizza in Glasgow and quite affordable too! The only drawback is how noisy it can get in the restaurant, but they also do take away:)
M. T.
Visiting from London, this was a spectacular surprise.
Genuinely excellent pizza served genuinely quickly.
Mine was the olives, capers and anchovies with extra chillies, notably, really excellent dough.
Our party of five (inc two young children) felt the same with the exception of one that wasn't too enamoured by the tuscan sausage choice.
My son noted the friendly service which is really good considering how busy the restaurant was.
D. R.
The best pizza in Glasgow. Nuff said.
C. C.
Really enjoyed the lively atmosphere and pizza. There was a line for dinner out the door but it moved really well - we were seated within 15 minutes.
If you're accustomed to shaking pepper flakes on your pizza, then the ghost pepper oil is a must try; it's the oil in the delightful glass skull. Ask your server to bring it over and make sure you go easy at first. Trust me, your lips with go numb at some point.
M. W.
Fantastic pizza, great service and unbelievable value. Six out of five easily.
J. E.
Cheap pizza, decent prices beer. Good service. Excellent food. Loved the atmosphere. No reservations so be prepared to queue for 30+ minutes on an average night, this place is very popular for obvious reasons. Would recommend for lunch and dinner
J.
I have been to Pesanos west end and city centre, both locations have excellent pizza. Wine and beer is good too. West End location has a better ambiance and staff are generally friendly and accommodating. It can get very busy and noisy in both places. It is worth waiting for as the pizza is great and you can grab a drink whilst you wait. There are regularly changing specials for pizza and desert. Simple and perfection.
A. P.
Always amazing pizza, never been disappointed. Be sure to get some of the upgrades, like extra chillies or the mozzarella, well worth it. Believe it or not, lovely salads too - the staff make them up with anything you want from the pizza toppings and they're delicious and great value.
S. U.
Amazing pizza and really good prices. Had 4 of them over the weekend and looking forward to another when i am back in Glasgow.
S.
Paesano pizza produce the best pizza in Glasgow! I have never been disappointed after dining here. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is great and the service from staff is terrific.
A. C. S.
Busy pizza joint with a steady flow of customers. Not a wide variety of pizza available. We had the spicy salami pizza but the crust was a bit too salty for our taste. The crust was chewy light and slightly charred. Not bad but we had tried other pizza which we preferred over theirs.
K. L.
We went on a Saturday night and it was jam packed. We had a 50 minute wait but went for a drink nearby. The menu was limited but fine . We ordered pizza and when the cane they were fresh, delicious and large. Staff were attentive and although there was a big queue we didn't feel rushed. Great value for money and great food and good atmosphere 😀
S. M.
Excellent pizzas baked in real stone oven to authentic Naples style. Since being converted from the previous Costa Coffee cafe they have done the place up really well with a classic feel. Pizzas under £10. While sides are quite select with no chips you get the feel you are in Italy! If you like the Miller Street outlet in town you will feel at home here.
A. K.
Fresh 🍕 and reasonably priced unfortunately they don't have any chicken on the menu and dips for the pizza 😕
P. L.
Super tasty and good value. Never dissapoints.
e. a.
Excellent pizza and real value for money. Everything was fresh from the olives felt like they just came off the tree to the topping! Relaxed atmosphere as well. Only issue is waitng time for a table was more than an hour and one can't reserve a table.
W.
Incredible. Love this place. Staff are fantastic and welcoming. Specials menu here changes but the standard menu is also fantastic
Good mix of tomato and non-tomato based neopolitan pizzas, and they are massive. Vibes here are super chill, yet the restaurant itself has a very classy feel to it. Drinks menu helps you get merry, and they're open late!
N. S.
Even better than its city centre cousin, Paesano West End takes pizza and makes it an artform.
The only possible complaint is the limited range of side dishes, but when you taste the pizza you just won't care. Plus it's close to Catch so while you're at it you can pop down for a chips n cheese on the side!
Keep up the good work guys, you make lockdown a pleasure (well, almost!)
B. G.
The best pizza place I have been to. There was a wait when we got there as they don’t take bookings however it wasn’t long. Gave us a chance to order drinks and look at the menu.
Great energy and overall vibe. The food is outstanding and excellent value. Pizza is around £8.
Staff were great, really on the ball and didn’t have to wait on anything.
K. S.
Probably my favourite Italian pizza in Glasgow. Great ingredients, fast service and tasty food for a very good price. It's almost always crowded and reservations are not accepted so you might wait a bit in rush hours.
O. C.
Great simple food and reasonably priced. Staff were nice too.
S. C.
Delicious, well priced pizza, and they make a real effort to be Covid-compliant with temperature checks on entry and clear spaces between tables.
Will definitely go back.
E. C.
Great pizza. Well priced. Efficient and friendly service.
A. G.
Right up there with the best pizza I've ever had in any country, including Italy! Simple menu, fast service and very reasonable prices. Very busy and noisy but has a lovely buzz. You'll pretty much definitely have to wait for a table, but it will be worth it!
K. M.
Jumped in with a pal for a quick bite. No bloat sour dough pizza with the freshest toppings, can't beat it, huge olives and friendly service.
s. m.
I'm not a fan of pizza to be honest but my partner is so when I came across Paesano mentioned in top 12 pizza establishments in uk (3rd in uk according toTripAdvisor) in an article on my news feed I thought I'd give it a go... well what can I say apart from delicious!!! so much so I had another one the following week I was home. I haven't went inside myself as I've been driving an my partner nipped in to get them, she said staff were friendly and professional also making sure social distancing was being followed too. Excellent value for a REAL PIZZA keep up the good work paesano.
S. O.
Fast service, quality product and the theatrical element with the stunning big oven. Great place to eat
s. k.
Value for money.... really yummy pizzas. The moment you enter the restaurant you smell the deliciousness in the air 🤤
E. L.
Food is great. Fresh but served very quick. Good range of pizzas and ingredients that you can customise and their specials are worth a look. Their ice cream cones are also very good! Very reasonably priced for the quality of the pizzas.
A. A. M.
If you find yourself having to wait a bit to get seated, it's worth it! The neapolitan style pizza is great and super affordable. Service was always good every time I went and the ambience is really nice.
M. C.
Authentic clay ovens and ingrediants sourced from Italy with friendly staff and very accessable prices. It's the sum of all parts that result in an extraordinarily enjoyable pizza experience and easily one the best in Glasgow. Be prepared for 15-20 min queues on evenings and weekends but don't get frustrated, it's worth the wait!
E. B.
Best pizza in the UK. No doubt about it. I have been to many highly recommend pizza places, but the sauce, the base, the toppings.... Delicious. I highly recommend coming here. Service was brilliant, food was prepared very quickly.
L. L.
Tastes nice, but the pizza was sort of wet, and the crust is so thin, it's like a strange 1/8 inch membrane. Also when we went it was very loud. Not a great place to have a conversation.
I. L.
Wee bit disappointed. Been many times to Miller Street and always really enjoyed it. But the pizza in the one West End one I got was soggy, took more than 10 mins to arrive (it's always busy in Paesano so it's not like that's an excuse) and was pretty sparse on the toppings. Typically rather than making a fuss and sending it back we were only in to grab a quick bite before Kevin Bridges at The Stand. Will try again another time. Maybe it's the fact that the city centre has 3🤔 of the fancy ovens means they can keep up with the demand better than the West End branch which appears to only have one oven. Not sure. Service was great. Staff are very helpful. Will try again and hopefully have the 5 star experience next time.
C. M.
This place has a great atmosphere. The upbeat and fun music in the background adds to this welcoming venue. The main noise is from all the satisfied diners who are in full conversation and evidently enjoying their experience. The feeling is relaxed and enjoyable due to the excellent service received. The wood fired oven acts as a focal point as you watch the kitchen staff prepare your meal. Although there is not much time for that as no sooner have you ordered your drinks quickly arrived shortly followed by your food.
The special board is always worth consideration if you want to deviate from the standard menu, which itself ticks all the boxes as to what you would expect.
L. N.
2nd visit today as my partner & I experienced it for the first time last week & we're back!! Pizzas are FAB, staff efficient & polite , the surroundings are spotless & totally organized with these restrictions!! Well done see you next week! Lol :-)
L. C.
Place was really busy for 6.30 on a week night although it was the school holidays. They don't take bookings so just turn up and hope for the best!
I was seated right away but arrived ten mins before my boyfriend. In that time I wasn't offered a drink, not even water in the really hot weather. We were served quickly after he came though and the pizzas were fantastic and such outstanding value for money.
I had a glass of wine and the wine itself was lovely it came in a glass tumbler instead of a proper wine glass.. maybe I'm old school but would have preferred one. Best pizza I've had in Glasgow and on a par with some I had in Rome
K. P.
Fantastic, food fresh and great value A+++++
H. M.
Fantastic Pizza & the customer service was fantastic, even on a busy afternoon
J.
Great place.
Class pizza, class service.
Hot fresh and authentic pizzas for takeaway - flavour combinations to die for. Just make sure you choose wisely!
P. T.
Lively place, friendly staff and delicious pizza.
G. P.
Very rarely will I give a 5 star rating. Pizza in here was so tasty it overrides any negative.ponts there may be about Peasano. Best pizza I've had pretty much ever. Only issue I have with this place is that the tables are far too close together. Service and speed of order to plate was great
V. S.
The service is always friendly and the pies are always delicious!
A. S.
Amazing pizza! The crust was perfectly thin and the dough was very light and easy to digest..the tomatoe sauce was super delicious too! Very friendly staff and efficient! Will def be visiting again!
K. R.
This place has probably the best pizza I've ever had. Time after time they offer exceptional service, good quality, food comes within 10 minutes and always at a good price. Highly recommend
H. E.
A real gem in the West End. Great value, delicious, authentic pizza.
I always bring visiting friends and family to Paesanos and the response is always positive.
It can be quite a young, student crowd in there depending on the time of year, but it's definitely also a well suited venue for families etc.
T. E.
This please is busy busy busy and there is a reason for that. The menu is small and what I imagine to be authentic Italian pizza. The service once you manage to get a seat is quick and the pizza is really good. At busy times you have to put your name down and have a drink there or in a bar near by.
P. G.
We love Paesano's pizza. Their ingredients are just the best.
I cannot give 5 stars for a couple of issues.
Sometimes they don't cook the pizza enough. I don't know if the oven doesn't get hot enough or they get the pizza out too early. However it already happened several times, so it's an issue.
The place is just too noisy. Music is too loud and you have to talk loudly to be heard.
A. E.
Amazing pizza, probably best in Glasgow. But it can get very busy and there can be a long wait for a table. Because it is so busy or also tends to be a bit noisy. That said it is still worth a visit and prices are very reasonable for Glasgow.
L. R.
Wow!!! What an amazing evening, Ricky thank you so much for the most memorable evening!! Your Dad and Aunt are so proud of you- couldn’t come to Glasgow and not visit, pizzas were fantastic! Service was great, truly an excellent evening, Lisa and Jamie 👍🏻🍕🍷❤️
D. K.
Went on a packed Friday night and the place had a great buzz about it. Staff friendly and efficient. Artisan pizzas ok - I chose well from the specials menu, but the fresh mozzarella on others wept a lot of whey onto the base resulting in much sogginess..
C. G.
The pizza is the best you'll get outside Italy! They forgot our order - they noticed before us, apologised and still served in under 25 mins. Comped our pizza, these guys know about good pizza and good service holding themselves to high standards.
K. J.
Pizza is unreal. Best in Glasgow!
G. G.
This is a must stop place when visiting glasgow. Incredible wood fired sourdough Neapolitan pizza! Great ingredients, served quickly. I'll never visit glasgow without enjoying a paesano pizza. (Though I have to note that there have been a couple of times where the mozarella is lower quality? Or not fully melted or something).
I. S.
Yum! The pizza is delicious with very fast service. The food is all great but I have one concern. It is very difficult to have a party night out in paesano because they have a very quick turnaround so if you eat quick you can be out within half an hour!
F. G.
The food here was amazing. We had a slight hiccup with our order not making it into the system so we were waiting a while, but the staff handled it like pros once they found out. The pizza was super tasty and the cheesecake was delicious!
X. X.
Was yesterday again. Best pizza in the world and i been in few places.... Love it
周.
Probably don’t need anymore good reviews...but this place has by far the best pizza I’ve had in Glasgow, super popular as well. Yet its popularity can be a downfall especially in dinner time. Either take away or sitting in can take some time of queuing.
S. C.
Wisnae too keen on the instructions on how to eat yir pizza wi a knife and fork!!!! And don't ask fur chips or they'll balk in yir face!!!!
A. M.
Great food. Love the Napoletana style of pizza. Service was very quick and the pizza was out in no time. Staff were over all very friendly and helpful. Only negative was that it was a little cramped around us. Couldn’t move back without hitting the person sitting behind. Food and price certainly make up for it
E. L.
Tastiest and most authentic pizza I've ever had, and that includes numerous pizzerias in Italy! Plus very inexpensive. Why anybody would ever go to the big franchise pizza delivery places when they could have Paesano instead I don't know.
C. H.
I've eaten a lot of pizza, however this place honestly serves the best pizza I've tried in Scotland. I've also eaten pizza in NYC/Brooklyn, and can honestly say this tops most of them. A must if you're looking for a place to eat in Glasgow! Pizzas range from only £6 - £10 also.
C. M.
All the pizzas are under £10, sides are £3-4 and don't miss the ice cream options with a side of the cherries. Social distancing and checks done well and staff are always lovely
F.
Never fails to live up to its reputation.
D. c.
Fabulous, tasty, pizza with a great selection of wines. They brought the wood burning stove from Naples and Neapolitans to install it.. they're not being hipster, it really makes a difference :)
T. C.
I love this place....cheap, tasty, easy going. Pizzas are the best!
M. C.
Excellent pizzas, amazing dough with a good range of toppings. Bit noisy and crowded, and it feels like they're rushing you through when you arrive, but once you get used to the noise and settle in it's fine.
J. W.
Delicious pizzas and great beer!
L. F. A.
The place is really cool, nice service, the staff is very helpful, the location is great, close to bars. Now, the pizza is really good, the dough is not that thick, which is great. Prices are good as well, so I really recommend this place to eat. I recommend numbers 5 and 7 from the menu.
S. R.
Really good and fast pizza - the quality is outstanding.
Y. H.
Great experience as ever. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is of very high standard. One of our favourite places.
D. O.
Good idea, well executed = successful business and yummy pizzas
S. B.
Loved the city centre Paesano and hoped this place would live up to expectations. It definitely has! The pizza is still amazing and the staff are friendly and serve you quickly! A definite place to go for anybody living in or visiting Glasgow
G. G.
THE
BEST
PIZZA
IN
THE
WORLD
you have to go...... Food is amazing staff are wonderful. And the space is so light and airy. Just lovely.
I've been at least 40 times and only had one bad experiance.
You should go.... now!!
S. P.
Nice restaurant with very good pizza (Italian standards, I would say).
I appreciated a lot the covid measures put in place.
Strongly recommended if you want to have a good pizza
S. M.
Excellent pizza, decent prices and super fast service. Special shout out to the dark haired lady with the fringe who deserves a raise for being super friendly, calm under pressure, dealt with everyone with a smile and is drop dead gorgeous (the last has nothing to do with the restaurant at all).
J. G.
Wonderful thin crisp pizza smothered in sauce and oil. If you are looking for classical thin crust, thus is the best place in Glasgow. It's also pretty cheap, good if it's the end if the month.
W.
Cool place, delicious authentic pizzas, great value and good service. Watch for the daily specials board to try something other than that on the menu. Gets busy and the bar area can become crowded but it attracts a friendly clientele and the wait is never excessive.
J. S.
Easily the best pizza I've ever had! I highly recommend this place.
L. B.
Delicious pizza, excellent wine, lush staff. Tip top.
J. M.
Quality pizza and efficient services given the circumstances.
A. K.
gREAT FOOD had the mushrrom pizza whihc was the pizza of the day (Quite delicous bruh) if i compared it to chicken choice it would be meh aight i guess but still great food 4/5
V. T.
I fricking love Paesano!!! I go there all the time and I'm always met but the same friendly staff. Since they only have 9 different pizzas to choose from they're also able to perfect them.
M. G.
Delicious pizzas. Had to wait 20 mins but it was worth it. Seats are spaced a little too close together. Very friendly young staff. So sorry I forgot to leave the tip.....
D. R.
Very nice pizzas. You can tell that the pizzaioli learned to make them the Napoli style. Friendly staff and stylish decor. The one thing that really bothered us was the music: way too loud in a room that already had pretty poor acoustics.
J. M.
A classic, go-to west end spot. Would be 5 stars, but for me the menu has gotten stale. Don't get me wrong, the food is great - it just doesn't excite me anymore...
J. M.
If you're a local, you know it's the best pizza around. I haven't tried tastier pizzas in my life. I got spoiled, I don't eat pizza that's not Paesano anymore. In fact, when I evaluate prices of whatever I'm not 100% sure I want to buy, I count how many Paesano pizzas I could buy instead. Average price is around 8 monies and I only manage to finish the whole thing once in a blue moon. Great location, beautiful interior. Kitchen in the same space as seating, separated. I like that. Making food in a basement is no fun. Selection of beers and wines including prosecco. Desserts always good and the ice cream is something I try to save space for every time. All sides are top quality I recommend any and all of them. Staff really professional, will approach to make sure you're satisfied with the food as soon as you take a huge bite and can't articulate, hahaha!
Very popular place, so don't be surprised if you have to wait for seating at a busy time. Never seen it empty, but at less busy times, takeaway pizza might be ready in as little as 4 minutes. You can take away sides as well. I think they do kid-size pizzas as well. Vegan, gluten-free and custom pizzas available. Ask for buffalo mozzarella for something even tastier.
Most importantly, special pizzas are always on rotation, so every week or so, you will find something you haven't tried in there before.
I'll probably see you there.
C. C.
Brilliant pizzas.Brilliant fast service.
Excellent value!
T. O.
By far the best pizza in the UK. I have been all over the country in the past three years looking for a pizza as good as Paesano’s. None of the ‘best’s are even close. Truly authentic Neapolitan pizza. Paesano is absolutely the best thing about Glasgow!
c. g.
The best pizza in Glasgow!
T. C.
Wow what good pizzas and incredible prices. Great value, lovely authentic pizzas with best ingredients. Family crowd, plus students. Lovely atmosphere and attentive good looking staff. What's not to love.
R. B.
If you like pizza you'll love paesano. Can't get a better pizza anywhere else in Glasgow
t. g.
Best pizza in Glasgow. Get a selection of pizza and sides and you cant go wrong. Have an old fashioned double nougat or oyster for your dessert. The sevice is also speedy and done with a smile
T. L.
Great pizza and fast service frendly staff prices are great nice we buzz .
F. S.
Paesano is what you want to try if you want to experience a real Neapolitan experience. No place in Scotland can compare with them. Their pizzas are absolutely the closest to the Neapolitan one than you can have in Scotland. However, Paesano in Miller Street is better, west end either use a different dough or different way of making it. 5 stars to Paesano in Miller Street, 4 to West End.
M. M.
The best pizza I ever had in Glasgow! Place is very busy even on school nights. A reflection of the outstanding quality. Friendly staff add to the experience.
A. R.
Good pizza but not taking appropriate social distancing measures. People queue close to each other and they occupy a large portion of the sidewalk while waiting for their order. Perhaps a more organized collection point and trash recycling could be put in place.
b. f.
Fast service, good quality everything, pizzas, ice creams, whatever I've tried here.
Prices are very reasonable and service is very fast. If you haven't tried this place already then do it without hesitation, I hope you will be pleasantly surprised as I was.
M. S.
Exceptional pizza. A place I feel you could keep visiting and never be disappointed. They know what they’re doing when it comes to pizza.
D. D.
Great food, best pizza ever, great service, highly recomend.
I. L.
The pizza served at the restraint is a great Italian style pizza that tastes amazing, especially the crust. Would recommend this place to anyone that's staying in the West End. However, I would say the Paesano Pizza in the city centre is superior as the atmosphere is nicer due to the décor and the pizzas are a little better.
M. D.
Always excellent even when is busy service is fast and of good quality.
S. S.
Good food. Sometimes it's a bit too busy. Recommended
M. C.
Very good pizza and tiramisu
G. G.
Great food and cheerful service.
F. T.
Best pizza I’ve ever had ordered 12 pizzas for my sister b day and it came in about 10 minutes
P.
This is a brilliant restaurant in Glasgow. There is no booking online so you must be willing to wait for a seat to become available as they are almost always full. Once you are in there is fast service and the employee's are nice and friendly.
M. G.
Peak time was well underway with the hustle and bustle of almost a full restaurant. The smell from the door was amazing. The service was fast and the food was darn delicious, plus excellent value. I will definitely return.
K. D.
Best pizza I've had in a while. Everytime I'm in glasgow centre I try to eat here. Very busy, so get there ahead of time. Small menu but great choices and you can create your own. Great staff too.
E. R.
I've always been served quickly enough without having to start looking around my self in the reastaurant. I love the pizza, I like the choice of toppings and I always had olives and burrata as a side, and everything always tasted so good.
H. R.
Exellent pizza, friendly staff, fast service and i was also pleasantly surprised by the prices. I was lucky to arrive just before it got busy so was seated straight away but some people had a fair wait so try to time your visit well.
J. R.
Astounding Neapolitan pizza. Excellent dough and excellent toppings, I had salame calabrese and it was a party in my mouth.
R. F.
Food was fantastic beer was amazing, out for lunch with friends and a great time service was excellent food was fresh and tasty couldn’t ask for anything else
M. L.
A pizza with solid pricing for a good amount of food! Can recommend fully - some veggie options are there too.
A. H.
Beautiful pizza, freshly baked and scrumptious. So reasonably priced and the place is so well organised.
D. G.
The best Pizza I've ever had in my life, including in Italy. These guys are magicians, gifted in the art of food. Incredible food x
A. S.
Pizza was great. Came in at lunch time on a Monday and had pizza in front of me 5 minutes later. Great portion size and super tasty all for a good price
o. a.
A fun, fast paced pizza restaurant.
I have stopped really considering which pizza I order as I have never had one I haven't enjoyed, and the price is really very good as well.
If your looking to sit down and grab a pizza in this area of west end, why would you go anywhere else?
G. M.
Very good pizza and friendly staff, but BUT the noise was unbearable. Too many hard surfaces, too many plates/glasses/cutlery being banged down on said hard surfaces. Totally uncomfortable and stressful experience! Will avoid, I'm afraid.
J. R.
Ok pizza but pretty tasteless. Have been several times as keep thinking it must just have been one time but afraid it's just lacking flavour
C. W.
Located within a sumptuously redecorated former bank just off Kelvin Bridge, this more sedate and refined West End offshoot of the perpetually busy pizza parlour excels in delicious but affordable Italian pizzas. Late opening hours and fast service make it an ideal grazing spot after a day sampling the taps in the nearby bars, while it remains upmarket enough for a business lunch.
D. M.
If you know what you have ordered, and the waiter knows what you have ordered, why would the waiter write down your order on the menu from which you have just ordered? That is to say, why would the waiter leave you with the menu that reminds you of the order that you already know you have just ordered?
I enjoyed the pizza. I can say that because I remember eating it.
A. S.
Absolutely superb pizzas- best i have had outside Italy (if not as good tbh). Great staff too and quick service. Terrific value for money also.
A. G.
Fabulous place, best pizza and atmosphere, staff are brilliant. We go most Wednesday evenings. Here again tonight fabulous, pizza's great and staff fabulous and friendly, wouldn't go anywhere else.
A. G.
Great food, great service, even better prices. No need for a lengthy review here, if you like proper pizza then you will like this place. Just go. Now, if possible.
L. P.
Favourite of my children so we are frequent visitors and I must admit I am a huge fan if the Pizza too xx Really quick with the food and really reasonable prices.
A. L.
Some of the best pizza I’ve had in Scotland! Highly recommend!
They don’t really do reservations - walk in only. You will leave full and happy for sure!
J. M.
Brilliant pizza and very reasonably priced. Really attentive, friendly service too!
M. Š.
The best pizza in town! Gets quite busy but it's definitely worth to wait!
M. B.
Best pizza in the UK
J. A. A.
Amazing authentic pizza with fresh ingredients. My friends insisted I try it and can not wait to go back!
G. B.
A well oiled machine. High quality pizza made in record time. Good for a quick place to eat before the cinema. If you want to go for a family event or birthday go at 7.30pm as it’s very noisey between 4-7.
D. G.
Good pizza, great value, pleasant atmosphere and staff, very popular, and given quality off did can see why, thoroughly recommended.
A. B.
Best pizza in Glasgow and Scotland! This place is one of my absolute favorite food spots, quick service, really really good price - pizza between £6-8 and excellent Italian ice cream
L. P.
Food is good but not amazing. A kids menu would help as we had a little one and a smaller pizza would have been good. It was amazingly busy but food didn't really suggest why.
D. S.
Great fresh made pizza, clean restaurant, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Worth to visit again.
However, the menu is limited. Also this place is crowded almost everyday, you may wait for 20 minutes to get a table (more or less).
A. K.
Quite amusing. The lighting was dull. And the tables were too close to each other. Felt like it was a little cramped in. Pizza was amazing though. Quick service, tasty food. Value for money.
s.
Pizza was lovely water could've been doing with being chilled 😊
M. H.
Ah, cracking Pizza parlour. Authentic Neapolitain stuff. Feels more Italian than the city centre venue. Love it. Great pizza. Ice cream is Mr Softy style, but better than your usual.
S. S.
Fantastic food here, best pizza we've had in a long time
D. S.
Amazing authentic pizza, cheap and very fast. Worth noting that sugo on the menu means tomato pizza sauce and evoo means extra virgin olive oil. They also mention their mozarella by name on the menu but don't be afraid to ask the waiters what anything is
S. R.
Excellent pizza as always. This was my first visit to West end pizzeria but won't be my last. Friendly staff, good service and nice restaurant setting.
M. K.
Personally I find the pizza from Paesano in general too burnt sometimes. And sometimes the actual dough is quite wet. But apart from that I really enjoy it! I like the selection and the fact you could add additional toppings.
F. F.
First time visiting Paesano...why did I not know this place existed? Amazing food, amazing service and amazing value for money. Will be back
F. K.
delicious freshly baked thin pizza. We got take out margherita. Quick Service. Nice staff. Avoid the extremely spicy chilli oil. it's lethal
B. M.
Amazing pizza with a wonderful thin crust. The basics are delicious and so are the specials with some more unusual toppings. Price of pizza ranges from £5-10
A. R.
Great pizzas, prompt service and very good value. Only gripes are the pizzas don't come pre cut and the tables are quite small for two people plus two pizzas.
L. D.
Place is always busy but this adds to the general feel of the restaurant. Don't let the queue's put you off. Service is quick and food is exceptional. Never queue'd for more than 10 minutes for a table.
G. S.
Brilliant pizza, great price, and although there are no reservations and it gets very busy, service is quick. Definitely going back.
D. S.
Very good pizzas, served fast with panache - loud, buzzing atmosphere
M. W.
Delicious pizza and exceptional service they don't take reservations but you can be seated quickly if you show up early. Reasonable prices. Overall excellent experience.
B. R.
Cheap and well-made tasty pizzas, refined menu with pricey(-ish) drinks and sides, decent atmosphere. Service could be improved but was speedy and courteous :)
S. B.
Absurdly good and amazing prices only thing is that they should add toppings to ice cream but otherwise 10/10
J. D.
Amazing catering staff. The menu has limited choice of pizza selection but the place targeted quality before quantity. Price is reasonable compared with same competitors.
S. M.
Great pizza and fast service. Food was delicious and the staff were nice, would definitely reccomend.
A. A.
Fast service, lovely pizza and nice staff.
n. u.
Amazing food and service. True napoletan pizzas. Quick service. Great prices. Cant recomend enough :)
S. B.
The pizza is so yummy! Perfect fluffy crust, great sauce to cheese ratio. Just A+ overall
B. J.
Very fast, but excellent Pizza! Friendly staff
A. K.
Incredible pizzas at a great price, the same as the Miller Street restaurant. Staff always seem happy to cater for you regardless how busy it is. Quality is always incredibly high.
S. C.
Great atmosphere, helpful staff and fantastic food. Waiting a minute or two, during busy times, for a table is no hardship whatsoever! Dined here often and always had a great experience.
J. G.
I love Paesano in Merchant City and I love Paesano in West End. We stumbled in near midnight, after a gig, and were ecstatic to find it open. The staff are brilliant, funny and friendly. And the pizza? The pizza, you ask? The pizza is incredible.
H. B.
Excellent pizza as always. Great sourdough pizzas and good service. Good value and well worth a visit.
A. D.
This is proper pizza! Cooked for 60-90 seconds in a proper stone oven. Drinks menu is a little small but had the essentials! Very popular and rightly so!
A. P.
Absolutely delicious pizza. Be careful of the Ghost Pepper oil which will catch up with you quickly. Place was packed yet we got our food really fast.
B. L.
Delicious pizzas here. I have been a few times now and they are consistently good. Good value and great service too.
B. H.
Best pizza I've ever had, fantastic service and great atmosphere! 10/10 all round
J. H.
Great, well priced pizza, really faster, friendly service. How pizza should be!
M. R.
Great Italian pizza for fair prices. Only downside is the loud noise and the very full restaurant.
You cannot reserve a table beforehand!
L. T.
Fantastic pizza, good service and reasonable prices.
H.
Great place for a quick lunch. It's very hectic but in an interestingly good way. Pizza was absolutely lovely, it tasted increadibly delicious. Prices are also very good.
