We found this lovely restaurant tucked away in Rutherglen."Bistro" The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and pleasant .It's quite a small place but the food is delicious.We had 1fillet steak which was amazing cooked to perfection and 3 chicken milanaise also delicious.One chicken salad lovely as well.we enjoyed our night there.id highly recommend a visit .

Arrived at 12.45, managed to get parked close by (we were lucky) and got a table although we hadn't booked. Would recommend booking if you go for dinner. The food is delicious, portions are very generous and staff are lovely. First time eating here - it won't be the last. The food at every table looked great. Food here is excellent and you get loads of it. You MUST try the meatballs starter or at least add it your bucket list. Normally I'd have a pudding but after a starter and a main, I felt like Mr Creosote.

This little restaurant has an extensive menu, 5 off us had steak pie honestly one plate off this would have fed 3 people. No worries about the flavour or tenderness of the meat, lovely flaky pastry and a little veg on the side. Great service and friendly staff.

The food was really good but none of the waiting staff were wearing masks. I find it hard to believe that all were exempt, even if they were I don't think they should be serving, or at very least should be wearing a visor. We also felt they were keen to get us out at about 9.30 when we finished our meal.

The quality of food is out of this world. The food portions are quite big which makes it amazingly worth every penny. I must say the space is a little cramped so you'll be very cosy with whoever you visit. I came on a recommendation of a friend and I highly recommend it myself. It's quite busy but the staff do everything in their power to make sure you're comfortable and welcomed. I advise booking in advance!

This is high end food, booking is highly advisable. The menu is very extensive with loads to chose from. Currently operating in tier 2 o covid rules means you can also have a beer or wine with your meal.

What an absolutely superb little venue this is...I was taken there on my first ever visit to Glasgow and now have a genuine reason to go back again (even if I can't get a ticket to Ibrox to see the mighty 'Gers). I was told in advance not to miss the Haggis BonBon starter...so glad that I followed that advice - absolutely superb flavouring. For mains I opted for even more Haggis as a topping to a very generous fillet steak, served with some perfectly cooked vegetables. The desserts looked excellent too but I know my limits and declined...maybe next time eh? Thank you Derek for being such an excellent chef and host - long may your reign

My fiancee and I went last night I had pizza she had chicken burger. The portion size was very generous and the quality of the food was amazing. The deserts topped us off to absolutely stuffed. The staff were really friendly the place was nice we will defo be back I would give 10 stars if I could.

My first experience of this restaurant and it was very pleasing. It is small and family run, serving great food at good prices and healthy portions. Four of us ate there for less then £25 per head including multiple courses, wine and coffees. We were very pleased and will return.

This place is both ridiculous and bizarre. Ridiculously great food. Bizarre it is not known throughout Glasgow as being one of the finest producers of great food. Portion sizes are huge. Absolute hidden gem ! Why has it taken me so long to find this wee cracker ! ... Staff friendly and polite , even sharing a joke or two and being very courteous at all times ! Food was top class , compliments to the chef and fellow staff . I did have some hesitations beforehand with it being such a big menu , because usually that spells trouble towards the meal quality , but glad to report i was proved wrong ! .. Everyone at my table of 5 people had a wonderful meal and thats with each having different dishes throughout every course .. That is a very hard thing to do for such a small Restaurant, but boy did they do it well ! .. Some people might be taken aback with the size of the restaurant but to me it just added to its unique charm , cosy ! .... Quality meals which were not short on portion size and definitely great value ! Looking forward to my next visit ! :)

Amazing wee place, a real hidden gem. We went in for lunch, 2 adults and 3 kids with no reservation and the experience was excellent. Great service, great ambience and the food was possibly some of the best I've ever tasted with big portions and very well priced. Definitely great value. We all cleared our plates, and despite not being a local we will go back.

We found ourselves at a loose end in the area yesterday. A quick Google and the 4.8 rating drew us in to the bistro. We were well looked after and the meals were very well prices. A very friendly team and a family run business. Even a goodbye from the chef! Unfortunately they had run out of haggis (a testament to their popularity) so I opted for tag in a bag and was very pleased with my delicious and generous portion. Make sure you visit and ring ahead as it was quite busy! Well done team Bistro.
