This place is a must visit, I would say you need to make a booking as we were very lucky when we turned up that we were able to be accommodated. The food is amazing and the portion sizes were really good for the very reasonable price they charge. The staff were all very attentive and were always willing to assist us with any requests we made.

I'd heard mixed reviews about Bella Rosa, but was left disappointed with the service and food overall, attention to detail all around. The atmosphere was lacking too, which didn't really help, with staff hovering. Maybe it was just that point in time we were there, but we're more likely to try somewhere else/new, than return.

Bella Rosa Italian was found via Google. It shown good reviews and nice photos of the food. We visited for our 5th anniversary and were not disappointed. The taste of the starters and mains were very good. I would say that the carbonara was as good as any top chain Italian at half the cost. And the risotto was divine! Portions were spot on, not too much, but yet just enough. Except for the starter breads and dips. The breads were very small and inadequate, but made up for it with the cery flavoursome dips and olives. The staff were exceptional. Very polite, friendly, chatty and also very helpful when we couldn't get a taxi home. There is a good selection drinks, and foods, and the venue is nice and cosy. Only to be let down by the taxi services locally (don't use drive! They are poor with zero response and make times up!). Do visit Bella Rosa, as you'll be in for a treat, a great Italian restaurant, with great friendly service, friendly atmosphere, and good prices.

When a small Italian restaurant is full on a Tuesday evening, it can only mean one thing, it is very popular! We were a party of 11 and the food was served hot, quickly and efficiently and extremely tasty. I'm looking forward to the next visit. I would strongly advise booking 10/10.

Finally got around to trying Bella Rosa on Friday alongside my wife and 5 year old son and wasn’t disappointed. First visit for us but our friends have been before. Great choice of food and it doesn't disappoint. Good atmosphere and not rushed there was a time limit as they try to do 2 sittings but 1hour 50 minutes was long enough. Will be back again soon.

As a family, we've visited a few Italian restaurants, and this place is head and shoulders above them all. There really isn't anything negative I can say about this place. 11 of us had dinner this evening. We all had starters, mains and deserts - everyone loved it, absolutely fantastic! I don't know if it's because I live in Paris and even the most basic brasserie serves beautiful food and I have become quite picky after spending 25 years here, but I was disappointed with the quality of the meal. Starters The mussels were re- heated as the texture was rubbery, certainly not straight out of the steamer. Only 5 or 6 mussels for the price is expensive. The sauce was extremely spicy - clients should be warned of the level of spice. 2 tiny bits of ciabatta bread were floating in the sauce - not very aesthetically appealing. The tomato mozzarella was low quality. The tomatoes were tiny and not ripe. The presentation was basic. Main meals Although the Branzino (fish) had a nice taste, the presentation needs vastly improving. Potatoes floating in the sauce, all separated is not a great look. The vegetables served on a plate were over cooked and not presented in an aesthetic manner. Dessert The dessert was really good, the cheesecake - I can recommend. It took a long time for things to come when asked, it seemed disorganised, although the staff very quite friendly. A basic meal but for us, nothing out of the ordinary.

My family and I have been to Bella Rosa several times and, despite being a nightmare family (3 vegetarians + 1 nut allergy, 2 dairy free + 1 no tomatoes!), we have loads of choice and are never too much trouble. The team really cater well for allergies/dietary requirements and don't compromise on taste. The food is delicious, the service is so welcoming and the value is great. Highly recommended and looking forward to coming back!

We did Sunday afternoon 14.00-16.00, Eleven in our party. Pre ordered meal just a couple of minor changes. The service is great for family's. They could not do enough, always smiling and taking care of us. I had Salmon filled with prawns with a trio of meats main. lovely refreshing afternoon food. Waitress couldn't get the Coors working so I had to have the most expensive larger at £4.80 a pint. Starter was excellent. My Calazone pizza was under cooked and sloppy. My wife's Lasagne was okay but had no real salad with it and the bread was dry with little, if any, butter on it. Wheve had much better and considering we were the only patrons In the place I expected much better.

Literally one of the best places to eat in Hull, we n have been here several times and the food is absolutely amazing!! Steak = Phenomenal!! We ordered a takeaway birthday treat from this lovely new local restaurant last night and we were all impressed by the polite, efficient service and the good value, delicious food. Between our family we ordered pizza, pasta, lasagne and beef stronganoff- all of which were piping hot and extremely flavoursome....in fact, some of the best we've tasted! Well what a fantastic new restaurant!! But don't be fooled the owners have lots of experience from the local Italian restaurant scene! Me and my wife decided to chance our luck and not book ahead luckly they had space for us, very reasonably priced menu lots of choice too, extremely friendly owner/staff My wife had the fungi starter OMG it was amazing, I had the spiced Italian sausage which was just as good 👍. 2.5 out of 5 if I could have given half pointsf Take out meal this evening. The pasta that my mother in law and wife had was very nice as was my son's children's pizza but I was definitely left wanting when it came to my Prosciutto and Olive pizza. The base was lovely and thin but the tomato and cheese base was average and I don't think and seasoning had been done at all. I had 10, 2 inch by half inch rectangular pieces of prosciutto stuck flat to the cheese and tomato base. There was a similar amount of black olives to cover all of the 12 inch pizza which wasn't enough. Overall I was left very disappointed at what could have been a very nice pizza. Sadly it appeared to lack any sort of creativity as the toppings were very geometrically placed which gave me an enormous sense of deflation the moment I opened the box (mass produced supermarket pizzas have a more normal look). This could have been a one off as I was the only one of us that got a pizza and I'll give it another go but this is more due to the fact that my wife loved her pasta. As a local I hope they can turn it around next time I visit.
