Daniella was our waitress for the evening, she was friendly and attentive and really made our evening! The food and drink was just perfect, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, this was our first visit to one of Gino’s restaurants and it certainly won’t be the last. The prices were quite reasonable, the whole place was spotlessly clean, the staff were all friendly, good music was playing at a reasonable volume, enough to drown out the kitchen noise but not too loud that you couldn’t talk normally. We’ll be back :)

This place is so so nice. I’m not easily impressed by food but this place is with no doubt the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The consistency of all their dishes from the starter main and dessert superb, absolutely delicious 🤤. My girlfriend and I had never been to Gino so we took a trip to Hull for the first time and decided to go to Gino, we’re both foodies and she was as equally as impressed. James looked after us and he really looked after us from the moment we got in. He was really nice and really engaged with us even offered to take a picture of us. I’d definitely visit again! And again and again !

Fantastic visit from start to finish. Went to celebrate my mums birthday and it was a great night. The food was delicious, cocktails and wine were lovely. James our waiter was so friendly and attentive. He also found out it was my mums birthday when he offered us dessert because we had a birthday cake waiting at home for her and he really went above and beyond and brought her a glass of champagne with a strawberry and candle and the staff sang happy birthday. It made it a special night for her and was very much appreciated.

1st visit today. Great place and atmosphere. Pizza was great, seafood skewers with swordfish, calamari & King prawns delicious, wild mushroom rissotto ok, but a bit too salty.

Nice atmosphere with a contemporary feel. Clean and tidy. The staff were very welcoming and professional. Myself and my wife arrived at lunch time. There is a significant lack of "Luch time" meals and smaller portion options. We ordered a few various starters instead. Mussels - they tasted very nice with the pesto sauce. Arancini - unfortunately lacked flavour and were slightly under cooked which suits me but my wife isn't a fan of Al dente. If I didn't know any better I'd assume these are mass produced off site and frozen. Calamari - again, not overly impressed as the food turned up warm rather than straight out the fryer. Again, looks like bulk order frozen type. Bruschetta - fresh and how it should be. I'd give the overall rating a 6 out of 10. I've most definitely had better Italian food from small family run restaurants. This screamed "chain food" with no real impact behind it. Would I go again or recommend.....if your starving and there's no alternative near then maybe. Other than that it's a NO from me.

This restaurant is perfect for any occasion, a few drinks and snacks or a formal meal. The food is gorgeous, there is no end to the choice of drinks and cocktails and the staff are amazing! Alberto always gives us the VIP treatment and makes us feel special no matter what the occasion. Daniella, Tony, Davide, Tolga, Valentino and all of the other staff work so hard to tend to every diners needs, the food arrives really quickly, fresh and hot and they always make a fuss of our children too. The atmosphere and decor are second to none, we even love the music. Would highly recommend!

We visit quite regularly as a family for food or just for a nice chilled drink and nibbles after work. The food is authentic and well prepared to be honest we have never had a bad meal. The front of house staff are knowledgeable and always extremely pleasant. Went for a friends birthday and had a very good night out, despite being a big group of 20 plus people we all manged to fit in perfectly with no issues. Food was brilliant can tell it was a very authentic Italian meal. There is also a wide range of Italian meals ranging from Bread based starters and antipastis to Pizzas to Pastas and even other food in between such as Pork Belly and Crispy Duck. The place is a perfect restaurant for Hull, which hasn't got much other restaurants on this level, it is in a quieter spot as the restaurant is towards the outskirts in Kingswood, however the vibe inside is one you'd expect to find in a bigger city like London, Manchester, Birmingham etc. Our waiter was Alberto who was very entertaining during the night and was very accommodating to our needs as he was a very friendly person and gave help where needed. Will definitely recommend this place

When you're paying above average prices for Italian food there's the expectation that what you will eat is going to be better than the equivalent offerings at, say, Prezzo, Ask or Zizzi...on that score, Gino D'Acampo delivers. The food is delicious! On our previous visit for lunch, a few weeks ago, we thought we were lucky to have Daniela looking after us. Her service and attention was extremely welcome and made the restaurant stand out from the crowd. Returning this evening for my wife's Birthday, to be assisted mainly by James, it just demonstrates that all of your team must be working to similarly high standards. The veal was amazing and lobster spaghetti fantastic! Thank you for a great meal and especially for the great service, we will be back again soon, I'm sure.

This place never fails to please! Choose off the set 3 course menu and unlike most places Gino’s didn’t scrimp on the portion sizes. The bruschetta with king prawn had enough chilli to give it a kick but not to over power the dish. Chicken in lemon and capers was a large portion and with the sides of potato and broccoli made a great alternative to Sunday dinner. The staff are attentive and super knowledgable about the food and drinks, nothing is too much trouble. I could mention them all personally as they were all amazing but a shout out today has to go to Daniela for her excellent service. We will see you all soon!

Delicious food, calamari and meatballs were perfect. The tiramisu looked a little lost on the plate, whilst the flavour was great, there was a little too much chocolate powder on the top for me, my mouth felt dry after eating a bite. It's cute to see them stealing from the competition in the area as there were also Frankie and Benny's pencils for children to colour in with.

Reserved a table and was seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was inviting with a modern style to it. The staff were friendly and very helpful, but a little slow at times. We were seated in the outside glasses area but I felt somewhat uncomfortable the whole time I was there as the tables were so close, we could hear everyone else's conversations, so felt unable to talk private ourselves. The food arrived very fast and was hot and fairly tasty. Overall, a nice experience, but was room for some improvements. Aside from that, an enjoyable experience.

We went for lunch yesterday its a very nice looking place we didn't book we were taken to the bar while they got us a table. It was a bit unorganised the amount of staff that was on should have easily coped the place wasn't even quarter full. We ordered the sea food linguine, chicken massal, and a kids spaghetti bolognase we waited over forty minutes for the food. There was lots of shouting by the chef but not a lot of food arriving at tables. The seafood dish arrived lukewarm the squid was very tough, it was tasty all in all. My partners chicken was nice but nowhere near enough of it good job she ordered a side. The kids dish was average I suppose maybe I will return when the waiting and efficiency improves over all average for the price

Well what can I say...this is my second home. I love the place. Staff are friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. The restaurant is very clean and there is a lovely conservatory which you can sit in. There is no major long wait for food even at busy times. And I love the fact that they have a separate gluten free menu for anyone with coeliac diseae or gluten Intolerence It's not the cheapest place but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and at ginos you get superb food a great choice of drinks and fabulous service. They also have their own reward card which gives you a percentage of your bill back and you can use this to pay for your meal if you save enough up or you can put it towards your meal. Winner winner

Visited Gino's Saturday just gone. We arrived to friendly, welcoming staff who took some details and showed us to our table. We where seated outside in the teepee which we thought was great to start with but soon found it was very cold and felt like a wind tunnel which wasn't ideal when we'd taken out 7 year old with us. We wrapped her up with a couple of blankets provided by the staff and that did help. I do feel the teepee could of had some sides on it to stop some of the wind blowing all the way through it as this was the reason it felt so cold. Food was fantastic, we started with a simple sharing bread board which had a selection of breads and a pesto dipper which was very tasty. They where also good enough to bring out my daughter's meal at the same time as our starter which meant her hunger soon disappeared and she forgot about the cold. She opted for a create your own pizza which meant she could select her toppings, turns out pineapple isn't an option as Gino disagrees with it going on a pizza, much to the disappointment of my little one 😁. She loved her pizza there wasn't a crumb left. I opted for the King Prawn risotto which was very nice. Not stodgy like risottos I've been served up in the past. It was light and full of flavour and I really enjoyed it, they also wasn't shy with the quantity of prawns which was nice. The wife opted for a spicy chilli arrabiata which was beautiful, she opted for a little less chilli as she's a wimp but she was very pleased with her choice and would order it again. With our main meals we opted for a garlic bread which we when with half and half (half plain, half cheese). Probably the best garlic bread I've ever had, I'm not usually keen on the stuff the cheesy side was fantastic and was cooked in a proper pizza oven which also added some flavour. Overall a good experience, we will be back as a family now we're able to sit indoors, thanks for such a pleasant experience, the cold cannot be helped.

Overall Gino's is a franchise chain restaurant and not authentic to be great.

The food was rather delicious and seasonal, along with a substantial selection of drinks on offer. A nice sample of southern Italy. Pricing is 'middle-market' so expect it to straddle £10-£30 depending on the ingredients used in the dish. Ideal for a romantic or business dinners with a dash of small celebratory occasions.

Booked for mums birthday. Was concerned after reading reviews but was highly impressed. The atmosphere and decor were perfect and great first impression. Every course was perfectly cooked and couldn't fault the service. The staff even presented my mum with a cake with a candle in and sung happy birthday! I think the poor reviews are unjustified and people should expect a few teething problems when a new place opens! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and revisit.

The whole experience was amazing. We booked a table for mothers day (which we forgot when we booked) but they managed to squeeze us in. The lovely lady who saw us to our table and took our coats was brilliant and service with a smile is an understatement. Our waiter was lovely, kept us smiling and did everything he could to make sure the evening was nice. The barmen are always really nice to speak to and always remember my father and step mum which gives it a much more personalised feeling. The atmosphere of the place is really nice, relaxing yet you know you're in a fancier place. The decor is lovely and the little touches with photos and the selfie mirror are brilliant! The food itself was amazing, we had 4 different dishes and each one was incredible. People say it's expensive but it's not that far off the prices in Ask and Frankie and Benny's yet you actually get more for your money in every aspect, better service and better food. I would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back again soon.

Supefacente!! After visiting the Leeds restaurant we decided to visit our home town Gino’s!! Front of house staff, bar staff and waiting staff are amazing and offer superb customer service!! I asked to be seated in a certain place, they accommodated me no problem!! So we sat at the bar and had a few drinks whilst waiting for our table, great selection and very knowledgeable bar staff! We was shown to our table where Luca was our waiter! He again was very knowledgeable about the food in the menu and recommended certain things to us! Food came quickly and was piping hot and very fresh! I really cannot fault the food or the service! I really couldn’t expect more or even ask for anything more! Lovely experience. Went with a group from work. 13 of us altogether. Had to pay a deposit and pre order our meals and when we got to our table there were a couple of things that weren't available but we were helped with our choice of a replacement meal. Other than that slight disappointment the night was fantastic. The food was beautiful and the service was exceptional. The staff were very attentive but not overly hanging around us. We were worried as we had read some bad reviews but I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back here soon.

17/11 I visited Gino's for a couple of drinks as I sometimes do. To my amazement I noticed the staff was very solemn.i asked the waiter what was happening. He said had a lot of complaints about the service of customers. I was sat at the bar for 3 hours socializing, and was shocked at what I witnessed. Customers were very abrupt to staff. Staff rushed of there feet as they usually are. Staff trying to accommodate the customers the best they can. With a friendly approach. One particular table of 6. Called the manager over after been sat at their table laughing eating anddrinking. What I witnessed next I was appalled .the customers was awful to the manager. Then refused to pay there bill. Which I understood it to be over £300. They just got up and walked out. I felt very upset for the staff as they had done everything they could to make the party happy. I feel it was all a show from the customers to get away without paying. I can honestly say this is not the first time this has happened . every time I go in Gino's I have first class service from all the staff. All I can say if this continues we will not have a Gino's in Hull for much longer .to no fault of the staff at all. Keep up the excellent friendly service and excellent food you are passionate about.
