J. T.My partner and I had a wonderful evening in this lovely atmospheric restaurant. They take a lot of care and effort with their wine with lots of information to help you decide.
And the food menu is extensive and full of great options. It was notable that they source the best produce as everything was so fresh and flavoursome.
The service was also perfectly judged with enough attention without being overbearing.
We will certainly visit again the next time we are in the region.

H.After looking for a new experience to eat at, we looked at Italian cuisine our old haunt paulo's(old custom house), has unfortunately closed, so after seeing good reviews for gusto's we thought we'd give it a try and we wasn't disappointed, very welcoming and very helpful in the choice of our food, the wife stuck to the specials board with delicious seafood, i stuck to the platter for one and a gorgeous mozzarella pizza, we even decided on desserts too, which i don't usually do but couldn't resist. Altogether with a lovely bottle of red and a couple of halves of morretti, lovely. We will definitely going back there again and again and the prices were very reasonable.

T. K.This is, without any doubt- simply one of the best Italian restaurants, in this country. Alex, in his element, greets us as we enter, as if long lost friends.
Not in a fake, creepy way- he is genuinely loving his work, and so obviously proud of his awesome restaurant.
Last night I arrived, with 2 dental colleagues. I was welcomed with warmth and affection, only to discover I totally screwed up- and had actually a reservation in another establishment (mentioning no names!!). No way, did I want to eat at the restaurant I had actually booked in error, and although Gusto was full, he said he would find a way to squeeze me in.
Well, how awesome. I was saved the embarrassing situation of telling my 2 dental colleagues, I had messed up their evening. Once we were seated, the usual brilliant, authentic, tasty, delicious food just kept coming. 5*, at least.
So, if you have never been, get booked. Call, and Alex himself will arrange your table and time. Do not book online, as I did. This restaurant doesn't do online bookings, but somewhere with a very similar name does!!
You will not be disappointed. Don't take my word, go see fir yourself. If you like eating out, have a date night, or want to impress colleagues, book.

Very well organised for Covid measures with hand sanitisers at the door, optional temperature taking available, tables well positioned and hand sanitisers on each table.

r. s.Had a meal here on Saturday with a party of 6 adults. The service was superb and the meals were exceptionally good. We tried several of the specials and were delighted at the choices. These included a rustic octopus stew.,baked crab claws and a sardine spaghetti. All were excellent and this restaurant must rank high in the list of authentic Italian restaurants. I cannot recommend it highly enough. This is a must taste experience set in a cosy and friendly restaurant with brilliant staff. 5 stars.

N. M.I don't normally eat out at restaurants because I believe inviting friends round to my house to celebrate my wife and my anniversary is the best and cheapest option.
However, after the threat of divorce I asked around at work for a suitable place to take my loving wife.
Gusto's was mentioned and I turned up with my wife secretly hoping it was fully booked.
It wasn't, but I'm very glad it wasn't, the food was excellent and the service was second to none.
The staff were genuinely happy and very attentive to our every need. It's clear to me on my first visit that most customers feel exactly the same as I listened to the staff welcome back repeat customers.
They really are a credit to the restaurant.
I will be highly recommending Gusto's to all I know.

D. G.The best restaurant in Hull bar none. It’s a shame that I can only give 5 stars here because this place is on another plane compared to other restaurants. The pasta is homemade and has a truly authentic Italian texture. The pizzas are thin and perfectly crispy. It’s a fine art to make such a thin and well topped pizza without burning any part of it but after dozens of pizzas here I’ve never had a burnt one. The restaurant has been tastefully decorated and the ambience is cosy and intimate. All of the staff are personable and welcoming, taking their lead from Alex who welcomes diners into his restaurant with a relaxed and disarming style. If you only have the chance to dine in one restaurant in Hull, make it Gusto da Gianni.
