Have to stay in Ipswich for work and the waterfront has a number of options for an evening meal. Staying at the Premier Inn opposite means it's easy walking distance. Popped over, didn't have a booking and they could fit me in without an issue. Book ahead though if you are a larger group or out at tne weekend. Service was excellent food was hot and arrived quickly. New menu with different options, to tempt you. Ideal for my needs, will go back.

Great location on the waterfront, lovely views of the marina. Efficient and friendly staff. Good choice of pizzas with vegetarian and vegan varieties. If you want a quiet meal go later once children's parties are over!

Great setting, along the Ipswich Waterfront. Sit in or outside options available. Good quick service, and the King prawns were delicious. The mixer soda and lemonade drink could be labeled better, as it comes as two separate bottles and you get charged double to the listed price. Overall a nice evening meal out with the Mrs. Would recommend, keep up the good service👍

Really lovely service, a bright and clean restaurant, with a nice view of the water. One of the only chain pizza restaurants that still has blue cheese on the menu, so that's why we chose them. Our food was delicious

Me and my husband arrived without a booking but the man in charge said that a table would be available in 30 mins so we had a drink in a local bar and returned 30 mins later and true to his word the table was ready, it was by the window with a wonderful view of the Quay. Perfect!! We were served by a very polite, helpful and happy young lady who took our order and couldn't do enough for us throughout our evening which made our experience a pleasure. Everything and everyone were first class and we will be returning and recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Friendly staff, my friend speaks italian and she had a lively, friendly conversation with one of the waiters. The food was as you would expect for a chain. We enjoyed our food and considering that we didn't book we got a table quickly, and we were served quickly. There were families, couples and groups in the restaurant and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I would recommend this place.

Great location on quayside and good views of harbour. Staff very lovely and helpful. Only 3 stars as waited 40 minutes for 4 pizzas and 2 of them served on a plastic nylon type board. Pizza was stone cold within minutes. Was lovely when hot! Drinks pricy but in line with brand. If restaurant read this please consider how you serve the food as it spoilt the first and last experience for me..

I have been to other Pizza places that have been fine but last night was just OK. The pizza took some time to come and although tasty it could have had more ingredients. Due to food issues we were not able to have any tomato so often other places will add extra of other ingredients, not here it seems. The staff were friendly and accommodating as we did request a change of table so we could be outside away from the dominant music.

We were really bothered by the fact that staff were getting ready to close one hour and a half before actual closing times, everything was extremely noisy as they were rushing to get the restaurant closed, staff were tired, bored and did not attempt to make a conversation. On the bright side, the pizza was excellent, complements to the chef, the atmosphere was wonderful for a night out except maybe a bit cold.

We went here as a family with three generations from 11 to 80 years old. All taken care of really well and the food and service was to a decent standard. We all chose a number of different dishes and all were served at the same time. Our server took good care of us and even noticed when our drinks were empty. We were there in the evening but I can imagine there are great views of the quay during the daytime, making it ideal as a lunch time eatery. The only gripes we had were we felt it was a bit crowded in and the noise really reverberated making it a bit difficult for my mum on some of the conversation. The last issue was parking or lack of it. Be prepared for a bit of a walk unless coming by taxi or being dropped off. Good all round experience and would go again.

Pizza Express always has good pizza and often there are deals available to save money. This restaurant has an outside seating area on the quay so we had a nice relaxing meal overlooking the water and watching the boats. Space is a bit cramped, especially outside. It seems like they have tried to cram as many tables in as possible but even so we managed with a buggy and an infant. Service was a little slow but friendly and professional.

Luckily we had booked a table for 18.00 as by 18.30 the place was very busy. It had been quite a while since our last visit and the fact we'd received an email voucher for 50% off mains meant this was a good time to visit again. The service was good even though it looked as though they were a little stretched when the restaurant was full. The manageress seemed to have everything under control, the waiter and waitresses were friendly and efficient. Our pizzas and pasta were served hot and were very tasty. The deserts of chocolate brownies and ice cream were equally good, the waitress had thoughtfully put a candle on each of the birthday girls brownies which was a lovely touch. Happily a voucher for six free software drinks was also accepted with the 50% off mains voucher so our bill was greatly reduced. Good food, good service and good value made our Tuesday night birthday visit a Happy one......

The food is good, exceptionally the pastas, they are really delicious, the desserts as well. The service was a bit slow because there was busy in the restaurant and they usually have to serve LOADS of people. The prices are a bit high but affordable I think. Chefs are cute ;)

Having visited before and been impressed, hence another return visit, I'm afraid this experience was disappointing and I won't be returning. First I should say the service was very good. Our waitress on Saturday 17th was friendly and helpful. The problem was the poor food. Straight away the menu looked different from before and nothing in the way of pizza or pasta read well. I had Calamari to start and that was tasty. The seafood pasta was a pitiful sight, like some TV dinner, and the pizzas were equally unattractive and totally lacking in flavour and plate appeal. Great location - get it together Pizza Express. Dare I suggest you visit Lucca's in Manningtree for an example of the target you're missing...?
