I would have given a higher rating had the pasta been cooked perfectly ( was slightly overcooked) and was served a bit warmer. The portion was a little small too. I gave a slightly better rating on their site, but upon reflection, the rating I have given here is a more true one. It's a lovely restaurant and the service is excellent. Be prepared for an extra 10% added on to total bill 😏 I would perhaps go again, the food was tasty.

Lovely staff, especially our waitress Laura. Really sophisticated place, lovely decor. Food was great just obviously a bit more expensive than usual. Everyone seemed to enjoy. And Laura was lovely enough to sort out the surprise birthday cake and sing along! Thanks ! Oh the birthday girls balloon broke and flew up! They couldn’t do anything with the big table in the way but they saw the funny side at least!

Came across this restaurant after an afternoon of shopping in Leeds. Wow, we were not disappointed. A very warm welcome, staff were fantastic, very attentive. Our server Aldo was so friendly and accommodating, 10/10. The food was fantastic, well presented and tasted delicious. Italian cuisine is the best so this was almost bound to be a winner for me. Seanne was a great waitress. There were plenty of staff available do easy to get service. The choice of food was very inviting. The dishes were not cheap, but the meals were tasty and well presented. The toilets are down a very long corridor. I would definitely eat here again. It gets very busy. Best to book a table. The decor is modern and good quality. There's been a big investment in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Really good food and probably the best staff we've been served by! Davide, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive, and even though the restaurant was busy it was very easy to get his attention if we needed anything! The restaurant is also very nice to dine in, nice roomy tables even if you're just a table of 2 Will definitely be back!

Went mid afternoon so was easy to get a table. It used to be Gino's but had changed to Riva since we last went there. Apparently, it's still the same company and staff running it, though . The food was very good and we will definitely continue going there. Staff are lovely, too.

Visited on Friday for a join birthday celebration for my friend and I. We always come to Gino's together as we know we're guaranteed great service, wonderful food and also not a huge bill at the end... As soon as we heard they were reopening on the Terrace I messaged Sophie who managed to secure us one of the final tables and also arrange some surprise Prosecco for us to toast with 🥂 The food was incredible (as always) and we were looked after from start to finish. Everything from wine recommendations to friendly service, we were never rushed and enjoyed every moment. Thanks so much again guys, I'll be back as soon as you have some tables free!

Change of plans caused us to take lunch in Leeds and we were on Park Row undecided between the Slug & Lettuce where we've been before or Gino D'Acampo. After checking out the menus outside we dicided on Gino's for no reason other than to give it a try. Well for sure we weren't disappointed! I have particular dietary needs so had to go for something simple and the chefs there were happy to oblige; whilst my daughter opted for a firm favourite and it looked and smelt delicious! We had a really nice table that was spotless, the whole restaurant was immaculate, the staff were amazing and there were pictures of Gino and all his celeb friends everywhere! Even the loo is worthy of a five star rating. The only thing missing was Gino himself. For sure we will be back again with my whole tribe! Thank you Gino D'Acampo! xx

Everybody who works there are very friendly and efficient and you can tell they all care about the service they offer. Chef, what can I say just wow 👌 Carpaccio starter was excellent as was the garlic bread ( not your standard garlic bread) lamb cutlets for main and omg!!! Absolutely Brilliant! We were a walk in, early evening on Saturday 11th June 2022. We got seated straight away. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive or friendly. The food was amazing. We were made to feel so welcome and one of the waiters made me actually laugh out loud, he was a star.

Food was delicious, service was fast and efficient except when we asked for the bill. It took a while but that can be understood in a busy environment. What we didn't like was the tip included in the bill. We would have left it anyway but we don't like the presumption of it. That's the only reason While I am dropping a star.

My waiter Dimitri at the Leeds location served us as a table of 12/13 and our experience was utterly impeccable! He charmed all of the females at our belated Christmas work do and made us all paper rose's, shortly after, he then taught us how to do it! Absolutely amazing and will be back. The standard of food at this restaurant has improved dramatically since pre covid. The waiters and staff were very helpful and especially Seanne, who made the whole evening much better and quickly took care of all of our requests. The pate was the best pate I had ever had and the lamb chops were nice the nicest lamb chops, highly recommend beautiful flavours. Highly recommended if visiting leeds.

A nice restaurant with amazing service. Davide was a great waiter who really tried to help me work out which wine I would like. We had the arancini truffle balls which were tasty but I couldn't taste any truffle so that was disappointing. I do feel that the price of wines are too much. A large glass of pinot noir was £12. My husband didn't actually look at the drinks menu when he asked for one. Took us by surprise. Just mental the price of wines and puts a dampener on choosing an affordable and wine that you actually like. For 4 people it cost just under £200. 4 starters, 4 mains, 6 glasses of wine & 10% service charge. What I did like about it is the fact it's always busy. We went early as we were going for a show and we had an early dinner. Nice atmosphere but no, I wouldn't come again.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Leeds!! I have recently visted this restaurant for the 4th time and it had not disappointed me not once. I have been very impressed with this restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff are all so friendly espeically this waiter called Davide who have served me and my family a couple of times, and he has remembered us from the last time. He came over to us after the main course and I had some left over sauce from the pasta, and he asked me did i want extra bread to finish the rest of the sauce, which I was very delighted with and he then said he was really happy that I finish the extra sauce. It is a great restaurant to try the real italain experience of fantastic food....

Our booking was mixed up for the wrong day. We then were given a seat but not where we wanted. I am claustrophobic so being the corner right by the massive window was imperative ! We felt maybe staff were judging us on our ethnicity but as people with colour this is a given unfortunately but some made a massive difference to the experience and would go back again for sure!! Laura was very sophisticated, warm smile and welcoming. Started arrived within 10 minutes with drinks. 0ne hour later, four enquiries about more drinks, one announcement of food in 5 minutes, so 15 minutes later we had had enough (concert time approaching) and asked for the bill. Adequate but not fantastic for a tv chef franchise Arrived early and greeted by pleasant staff, the table was ready as expected be for a booking. We were immediately seated, handed the menu and asked what drinks we would like, again as it should be in a restaurant. While awaiting the drinks and starter & mains chosen, the waiter returned to inform us if a list of starters & mains which had "sold out" ... pretty poor for prime time Saturday evening dining and yes, both my choices were unavailable. That said, my alternative choices were available, we shrugged this little setback off and continued my good ladies birthday celebration. The starters arrived accordingly and were delicious although basic, a little garnish wouldn't go a miss and it was after completion of these that we started to feel rushed. I was still chewing when the table was cleared and the mains arrived moments later. We felt the lobster linguine was delicious and excellent value for money at £21 however £17 for what came out as a bowl of stewed beef, onion and carrot not so good value as any potato or veg side were £4 a portion. I plumped for crushed roast potatoes equating to a very expensive stew at £21. The desserts were typical restaurant desserts nothing extravagant but exactly as expected. Now, this is where I have to support the reviews on how loud and congested this restaurant is. We appreciated we were seated near the cocktail/prosecco bar but the volume of and style of music was not appropriate for a so called Italian restaurant, neither was the projector style tv showing NASCAR racing and UFC kickboxing. We did take advantage of the very nice sounding cocktails and these did indeed surpass or expectations resulting in indulging in several while at our table. This was surprisingly relaxed and un-rushed bearing in mind the speed the table had previously been cleared. We by no means want to make this a bad review but an honest one, the food was very nice although being my 2nd choices and the staff wonderful but as expressed in the heading simple improvements can be made both cheaply and effectively and none of the above would deter us from visiting again now we hold different expectations.

Four of us chose from the very reasonable 3 course set menu, we all enjoyed the food (though the others found the seats downstairs uncomfortable, I thought they were OK). The staff were friendly and good humoured. It was a busy Saturday afternoon but we were not rushed by the staff at all. The only complaint was... The decor in this restaurant amazed me immediately and let me know that I would be in for a lovely time! All of the signs around the place were handwritten which provided a personalised and homely touch to an otherwise fancy establishment. Great place, great food, great vibe and a great experience been here twice in the space of three weeks and I can say it delivers a real Italian dining experience, the meat or chicken isn’t halal but they do serve a great wide range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items which are also really nice, tried a pizza, pasta, “can’t remember the names lol” also the smashed potatoes, cheese board, and garlic bread, couldn’t complain about anything. I am a big fan of the persona "Gino" so for my name-day celebration we visited the restaurant in Leeds. It was my first time in one of his restaurants, and for sure more will follow. The booking process on the same day via the site was flawlessly, and the manager called me to confirm the reservation. The service was excellent, and everyone from the manager that welcomed us to the waiter and all the personnel was extra polite and friendly. The environment is friendly, relaxed, cosy and super clean. But now let's talk about the food. All the ingredients were fresh and, if not imported for the restaurant selected. The fantastico share plate was terrific and vanished from the table within seconds—the same stands for the bruschetta, garlic bread and the pizzas. My pasta "Rigatoni with ragu" is a must-try. Unfortunately, I was so full that there wasn't more space available to try the grill in my stomach. My daughter loved the ice cream from the deserts, my wife the pannacotta and my nephew the fondant. I wasn't amazed by the cheesecake as all the other desserts that I tried were better than mine :-) I need to mention that the "JUNGLE BOOGIE" cocktail was perfect. Last but not least, the prices are fair, and the restaurant is not taking advantage of the name "Gino" to skyrocket the prices. Sorry for not posting pictures; I was so excited that I forgot to take them.

My sister booked this restaurant for her birthday. We attended on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was busy but not over busy. Service was good, the staff took care of us and were quick to attend to us. The food was good, I had the veal meatballs, it was good, not amazing, but good. My sister and our partners had pizza and they all really enjoyed their pizza. The cheesy chips were nice (just chips with sprinkled hard Italian cheese). The decor was pleasant although it looked torn between trying to look casual and upmarket. I was a bit disappointed because a few of the items on the menu had sold out and despite us saying it was my sister's birthday and the fact she made a note of it on her booking she didn't get anything special from the restaurant. Verdict: good but not amazing. Other than Gino's name, I wouldn't say this Italian restaurant had any other USP

WOW WOW & WOW… it was really top notch, classy & very sophisticated… the staff were unbelievably nice , particularly Dimitri who took care of us where NOTHING was too much trouble ..The whole experience was fabulous, the only disappointing thing for us was we never went there on our first night , because we would have gone every night …. There is a stair lift outside the restaurant that was simple to use, and whenever I needed assistance in the restaurant, or when leaving, staff were swift to help but didn't crowd me or make a fuss so I felt completely accommodated rather than singled out.

The food was exceptional, everybody enjoyed their meals. Not overpriced at all. Whilst it's easy to spend a lot, everything on the menu was individually well priced. The atmosphere was so refreshing and relaxed, and the remixed music choices were a welcome change from mainstream radio. I really liked the opportunity to purchase fresh ingredients from the menu, and I left happy with one of Gino's cookbooks. If I had one gripe, it would be a limited choice for vegetarians, however I understand the menu changes seasonally so I should expect this will not always be the case. Overall, I was very happy and will definitely be visiting again.

My food was poor although everyone else at my table said they enjoyed theirs. I had carbonara and it was practically cold. The only saving grace was the chocolate fondant which was absolutely amazing! Some of the drinks were extortionate like a small bottle of lemonade for £5!! Absolutely disgusting charging that for lemonade! Also, a 10% service charge placed on our bill; I think it should be up to the customer to decide if they have had good service and tip accordingly and not have it automatically placed on to their bill, disgusting!!! The surroundings were nice and the company I was with but I certainly wouldn't rush back as it was £100 for my husband and I!!

The food was of a good standard and quite authentic (I am Italian), service was friendly and efficient, it was a very quiet Sunday lunchtime, I marked it down for ambience and atmosphere as when we entered it was playing Italian pop but when more people arrived changed to a mix of James Brown and jazz which did not really fit. Overall a pleasant experience and better than say a Carlouccio's or now defunct Jamie's.

Waited an hour and a half for a booked table.then given a tiny booth could nt move elbows out to chop my food we were sat so close.The gluten free menu never came after asked. The chips for the steak came after the steak was eaten after asking 3 times. They did compensate for this gave prosecco and bread and knocked the steaks off the bill but would rather pay and have good service.

Just visited this restaurant for my 15 year old sons birthday, along with 11 other family members. When we arrived there had been a mix up with the booking and we had been booked into the wrong restaurant. However, the maitre d' managed to fit all 12 of us in and dealt with the mix up in an extremely calm, polite and professional manner. Indeed the service from all the staff we came into contact with was fantastic. We all enjoyed our meals and we had a lovely evening. I dined here last night with a table of 8. The positives of this restaurant are : The interior (including toilets) The staff (including bar staff, greeters and the waitors) The calamari starter was delicious The negatives are : The food. 2 of the 8 people on our table did not enjoy the food, and we struggled to figure out how the price of the food matched its taste/texture. I had the seafood linguine. The mussels and the large shrimp were completely tasteless, and the tomato based sauce that the linguine in was about the same quality as a non branded jarred version. It was also quite watery. The second diner had the breaded chicken steak with cheese. The taste at best was average, and the texture was rubbery. However, that being said, the resolve couldnt have been handled better. I informed a waiter of my meal dissatisfaction (seafood linguine) and he was very helpful, took the plate away and replaced it with something else of my choosing, and I wasnt charged for the seafood. I feel like the resolve definitely made up for the complaint. One thing to look out for, if you've made a large booking, is that the ten pound per head that is paid at point of booking is taken off the bill. We had already paid £90, but it hadn't been deducted off the bill. Had we not have noticed, we would have £90 too much. Overall, even though I was happy with the complaint resolve, I dont think I would personally choose to come here. For the meal I chose, I feel like I could get something just as tasty, if not more so, elsewhere at half the price.

DELICIOUS!! I ordered medalian steaks & chips £27.50 If i remember right and cheesy chips as an added extra to share with the party of 4. Garlic bread , bread board, pesto dip as starter etc. The service was on point. The atmosphere was lovely, clean toilets and clean resteraunt. We liked it so much we joined the loyalty club card which means we get £20 when we next return and we definitely will!

We love it here, music great and you can't beat the food. The best thing though is the staff they are always making sure it's a good experience. When I first went I was not looking forward to it, thought it was going to a chain style just using the name, but I was wrong from our experience I would recommend giving it a try well worth it.

It's pretty standard and as we went as a group I can say a lot of the dishes had very little flavor. The staff are friendly and courteous. The chairs squeak on the floor too whenever anyone gets up or sits down - you really start to notice it after a while.

I had the Spivey pizza it was ok but was not that spicy to be honest staff was good and it is a chilled out place. We could talk above the music and we was not rushed with our meal. We went into town on a night out. Gino's kindly accommodated us on a Christmas Saturday evening, having not booked, but were seated within 5 mins in a packed and lively restaurant. The starter of Cod with lemon mayonaise on ciabatta was delicious, light and flaky fish. We ate Fettucini with sausage and the Wild Boar Rigatoni, a dish off the seasonal menu, for mains and again really tasty plates of food, well cooked, seasoned and topped with gorgeous parmesan. The Red wine was also well chosen and delicious. Service was good, attentive and friendly, prices were reasonable.. What a great way to start a great night. Thank you very much.

We went on Saturday 26th August, the restaurant was very busy with a great atmosphere. We were a little early and were greeted warmly and shown to the bar for a drink. At the correct time we were shown to our table for a fantastic meal of lobster linguini and seafood linguini. Food was nice and service was prompt. However, the staff were polite on the surface but gave off poor vibes. Our waiter corrected one of our group's pronounciation, which came off as patronising rather than as pleasant banter. Staff would knock into you when placing food and we witnessed two arguments between staff. One between waiting staff and presumably a supervisor and another between kitchen and waiting staff. Considering the name and how much you pay, it was a disappointing experience. Something that may irk some and endear others is the small bookshop in the corner, exclusively selling Gino's books. Each menu item links to a recipe in his books (don't worry, it tells you which book you need to buy and which page you can find the recipe on). It's either a nice touch or an obnoxious means of making money, depending on your point of view.

Visited today with a friend over lunch. Our waitress was new and she apologised in advance for this which was nice, although she did not need to as she was lovely and seemed to fit in well. To start we shared the bread board (£4.75) which had two different breads with a lovely pesto dip & the Arancine mushroom risotto balls (£6.50) which were beautiful. For our mains, I had the Orecchiette with broccoli (£11.50) & my friend had the Carbonara (£11.25) with a side of courgette fries (£4) to share. We both enjoyed our experience and could find no faults and will return. You must try the Arancine and courgette fries when you visit! Thank you.
