Reviews of BrewDog Leicester
J. A.
Nice pub in Leicester city centre.
Good selection of beer.
Has a small scenario upstairs for private parties and small concerts.
Has a pool table too.
Z. F.
It's a lovely place. Cool location. If you are like me and not a beer or cider drinker, they do have some other options, so don't be put off. They sell a couple of nice cocktails and decent fizz. And anywhere that has a pool table is ok with me!

We went here for food and drink before the Leicester City Europa League match on a Thursday night. Plenty of good drink on offer and we had one of the stouts which was excellent. We also had the pit burger off the food menu which was equally as good. All in all a very good experience with very friendly staff.

All you can eat wings on Wednesday for £10!!!
Visited with friends. Wings were very good with 5 different varieties served in dishes as they are cooked. They were big wings and very tasty. Great selection of drinks, although drinks are a bit pricey. Nice place, I'd definitely go again but at this point I can't look at wing for a while after consuming a vast amount as they were really good! 🙂

Don,t normally do Positive reviews But wanted to share our experience. Having recently brought a dog I looked for "Dog Friendly" Pubs. We booked a table but were running late so called to tell them "No problem we will keep it for you" came the pleasant reply . On arrival we were shown to the table with said dog getting plenty of fussing and then a bowl of water and a treat.:-) We ordered some food which was excellent and the serving staff we really nice sociable people. Was a great evening and will certainly be going back.
G. E.
Really friendly bar staff, engaging and helpful with recommendations. Beers all a little pricey but excellent range. Food was excellent, with large portions and not too badly priced.
N. Y.
Great drinks choice, fun food options. Very good.

This is the second time we've been Brewdog Leicester
Following our first positive experience, especially with the staff and BBQ food, we took our son and couple of friends for this birthday. The staff were super positive and helpful, the food was amazing and I Ioved the Punk IPA.
Thanks to everyone who made this such a positive experience
K. C.
Great Beer and Food, highly recommend
J. H.
Always a great selection of quality ale on tap. Sadly on the night the food selection was limited. The food on offer was avaravege (choice of two bugers) would like to try the rest!
Bar staff couldn't be more accomodating informative on the drink selection. Offered a free round of drinks due to the kitchens limited selection.
A. P.
Nice pub. Great atmosphere. The staff are really friendly, they had good cider and amazing food.
D. L. S.
I do love a brewdog, as you would expect, great range of ales and beers.
The food is out standing, and come to expect from this place.
9/10

I Had A Good Few Brews & An Awesome Burger With Mac N Cheese On The Side... A Tasty Meal To Match A Great Selection Of Craft Beer!
Check This Place Out!!! The Dog Is Calling!!! 👍👍👍
J. G.
Relaxed and casual venue. 10/10 for beer drinkers.
Team are attentive and do go to their best efforts to ensure timely service when its busy.
K. R.
Brilliant bar! Love the pin ball machine and the pool table. Welcoming staff and great service! What more could you ask for? Fab bar.
B. F.
One of the best craft beer holes in town with a good rotation of guest beers to keep us coming back, along side their already tasty own-brands. The pub is cleaner and less rowdy than it's neighbours. The staff on my most recent visit were excellent: welcoming, friendly, and working hard to keep the joint orderly and safe in a crazy pandemic situation. Their products reflect their quality with higher than avg prices for Leicester, so if you are just looking for any old pub with quality beer, than you may prefer some of their traditional neighbours in the town centre. But if you are as fan of craft beer, you must give this pub a visit
r. s.
No nonsense beer lots of choice and they do pizza as well. Great place with nice areas to say and play games or just chill out. If you've never been to brew dog before it's a great place to sample there beer as well as others they have an amazing selection and it's always changing. And the staff know there products if you do pop in and they still have the nitro stout worth a try.
D. W.
Great service, staff were amazing, food was very tasty but not very warm. Real downside was the toilets, not very looked after, but overall really enjoyed it 😊
D. S.
Another great BrewDog. Beer was great and the staff was on point. Toilets were clean.
M. S.
Great selection of beers. Really friendly staff.
M. W.
Hadn't been in a while, but loved it. We took our dog Dana, who was welcomed better than most customers, and she also decided to have a wander and say hello to people. The food menu was simple but with delicious choices (the doughnut burger was very indulgent, but worth the calories!). We stayed for quiet some time playing pool (for a £10 deposit to rent the cues and balls, you can play as much as you like). Can't wait to go back. Oh and the choice of beer was extensive, so you'll be spoilt for choice.
S. E.
I came here on Thursday for a quick one. Asked a barmaid called Mandi what she would recommend. I told her I like Guinness so she got me a roaster coaster. I liked the thickness and dark colour of it. Tasted sweet with a hint of spice. Ended up staying till closing. Would definitely recommend, very warm and welcoming.
P. C.
Super hospitable tonight for New Years, really went above and beyond for us and were really friendly. Thank you for making our NYE a pleasant one :)
J. P.
Still great service and Wednesday wings are awesome. Got good service from Tom
P. W.
Bar and food is beyond reproach! Brewdog do a good bar, but this is especially good. Best still though is the food by resident Ted's True BBQ, literally the best BBQ food I have ever had.
C. S.
Great beer selection, friendly staff and good food
H. B.
Draft Brewdog, does exactly what it says on the tin. Had the beer flights which is four glasses of one-third of a pint each, for the standard price. In retrospect we should have ordered one at a time, but they were all good anyway. Elvis Juice grapefruit IPA a firm favourite.
We had the bacon cheeseburger, a solid choice. The patties could have been juicier, but they have a great range of ketchups and barbeque sauces so no complaints here. Try the Triple Six hot sauce!
G. A.
2nd Brewdog I've been too. Excellent bar, nice staff, food was amazing too
S. S.
Brilliant place with the kitchen run by Red Dog BBQ, so expect a different offering to your usual Brewdog menu. Food was epic.
G. L.
whenever we are near one! Happened to be in Leicester for the weekend so booked in for two evenings. We also took advantage of the great food by Red's true bbq-an added bonus to the fantastic beer! The staff were so friendly and accomodating. I didn't get their names but all staff on both the Friday and the Saturday were lovely. I had a lovely compliment from the lady who served me too about my necklace I was wearing (short blonde hair) Service was quick and I was impressed by the cleanliness and covid precautions - such as have seated customers only and constant sanitising of tables when people left. A great experience all round
J. E.
Exactly my sort of place, relaxed, good atmosphere, retro video games and most importantly a great selection of beers. I always try and get a drink here whenever I am in Leicester.
O. H.
Staff were good as always in Brewdog bars, Food ordered was quick and tasty. Atmosphere was relaxed & friendly.
K. L. (. L.
Great venue with top notch beer, food ala reds true bb, great staff and a great playlist!
N. T.
A great bar with many more Brewdog beers than I thought were possible. 1980's console in the corner of the room and a shop to buy a t-shirt in case you can't remember where you were.
B. G.
Great if you want to try something different, don't expect your run of the mill beers. I had a pint of kingpin lager but I don't think it tasted like lager was more like ale and quite fruity
K. J.
It's another Brewdog pub with all we expect from the chain. I could just leave it at that but we were so welcomed by the staff who were so helpful and even recognised us on our return visit. Great job
J. M.
Great drinks, friendly knowledgeable staff and dog friendly.
J. B.
Good atmosphere and a full range of brew dogs. Some soooooo strong you can only get a 1/3 of a pint!
E. M.
As always another great experience from Brewdog. First time visiting the Leicester bar. Friendly staff. Quick and friendly service. Mac cheese balls to die for.
L. N.
Been drinking here on and off since it first opened. There’s a few tiny problems with the place (poorly kept loos, for example) but the beer has always been good.
My partner and I went there today and the staff were very polite and accommodating. This is the sixth Red’s that I’ve been to and I was thoroughly impressed with the ribs and thought that they were priced very reasonably (especially given the generous portion size).
Not quite sure why people are complaining about the beer prices. Yes, it’s not the cheapest of places but if you want run-of-the-mill lager (or haven’t done your research) then why complain. We had a great time.
B. M.
Food was great! And good selection of own brewed beer and guest beers.
G. S.
Great selection of beers with that Brewdog friendly welcome.
T. S.
Absolutely great night.
Booked for wings Wednesday and initially thought it wouldn't be to good when I walked in.
Service was outstanding, very attentive and knowledgeable both the lady at the bar and the man serving food. Food was always hot. Nintendo 64 and Xbox at the table. Could not ask for more.
Staff also had great humour along with service that made the whole atmosphere better.
J. K.
Great staff and great beer/food selection if not a little pricey
C.
Just happened to be walking past at lunchtime and noticed they had the new Red's True Barbecue lunch deal on. So I wandered in and was greeted by a lovely bartender. I ordered the wings and ribs lunch deal for an amazing £7.50 and the knowledgeable member of staff recommended me a lovely local beer to go with it. After waiting a short 5 minutes for the food, it arrived and was nothing short of incredible. I polished the food off and went on my merry way, feeling full but without having spent much money at all. Service 10/10. Food 10/10. Beer 10/10. Needless to say, I will be coming back, and telling all my friends.
G. M.
Nice place, good beer. People may have an issue with the price as this place isn't cheap. Also the drinks are limited to pretty much just beer so if that isn't your cup of tea, again maybe not the place for you. That being said, the place looks stunning. Pool table available. Usb charging for phones at some tables, some cables available behind the bar. Large upstairs area for events. A lovely quirky place overall. Bathroom all the way at the back, down a lot of steps followed by another decent walk.
R. M.
Great beers, lovely decor and video games! Free pool at certain times and all the staff are sound.
G. H.
Really cool vibe. Very friendly staff. Recommended
L. D.
The perfect place for lovers of dogs, beer, games and a good time! A perfect little gem hidden in the heart of Leicester, nestled on a peaceful little street just metres away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Overall the place has a vibrant feel too it, playing a mixture of tunes, loud enough to enjoy but not too loud to drown out any conversation. I came in here with a couple of friends on a busy Saturday and the staff on shift were really efficient despite the rush. They dealt with us very patiently and were able to explain everything we needed to know about craft beers (something we knew very little about before!). There knowledge was impressive and quite frankly unusual for most bar staff I have encountered. We also tried a couple of pizza's which were delicious (and they do amazing VEGAN cheese, horay!) They've recently upped there event game as well, with some spoken word, games and music nights if you're looking for some free, quality entertainment, this is a great option. Dogs are welcome which adds to the friendly, fun environment. Basically I would 100% recommend and I'll definitely be there again soon :)
S. A.
Unfortunately downgraded from 5 to 3 stars.
I'm torn, it's unfair to rate the bar due to the food, but ultimately it's the whole experience, so if one half of the business is letting the other down then the whole suffers.
When the focus was on the beer with some simple but delicious pizza to soak up the alcohol, this place was superb. Free pool, great drinks and good grub.
Now it's partnered with Reds Barbecue, and it is unadulterated sh*t. Brisket I can cook better myself in a few hours, ribs that haven't had the sinew trimmed off them, corn that's been boiled rather than put on the warmer trays to slowly caramelise, and charging almost decent restaurant prices for the privilege.
The bar is still good, the drinks are still good, the staff are pretty decent, but the package as a whole is now a three star offering.
H. N.
Awesome place with great atmosphere. Staff greatly knowledgable, really nice to talk to and will always give advice on either food or drinks based on your preferences. Ever changing menu with a wide variety of choice to suit all tastes. If you like rum i highly recommend there own 500 hundred cuts. The food is cooked to perfection and delicious highly recommend visiting and experience brewdog as not many places compare. Enjoy
J. D.
First date night in a long time and Brewdog did not let us down! We came for Wings Wednesday and we managed to sink two plates but couldn't manage anymore! Particularly as I asked Chef to make my second plate as hot as he dared too... And he made them 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much to all the staff and the chefs at Brewdog tonight, we are leaving with full (fiery) tummies and had a lovely night out.... Although I may not like your chef so much tomorrow morning!
Thank you again lads it was a treat
L. B.
Had a very tasty (and big) sirloin steak. Will definitely visit again.
F. N.
Great dog-friendly place for a drink any day of the week. Food is also great - the pizzas are so tasty! Pool, arcade games and board games to keep you busy, friendly staff and really good beer!
C. H.
The place itself is quite nice. It's a fairly spacious open-plan bar with a good choice of seating accommodating all sizes of groups. On busy nights I have found the bar service a little slow and I do think the beer is a bit pot-luck and expensive; sometimes they're great, other times not so much. Generally caters to an under 30's audience.
I. B.
Ribs were very good quality. Not fatty and nice marinade. Beans with brisket (£1) side was great but mac and cheese ball was a bit tasteless. But overall good. Plus lunchtime worship menu was good value @£7.50 for ribs!
G. H.
Friendly staff, good beer choice and nice pizzas!
J. H.
Good beer. Good staff. Vegan food available. Prices are in the top bracket but sometimes they can be good value. Cans and bottles from the fridge can be a bit pricey though.
J. D.
Great bar with a cracking selection of beers (as well as some whiskies/gins etc) and awesome pizzas. Decent music, retro videogames, and free-to-play pool tables make this a great place for a night out. Nice selection of take-out beers as well.
T. K.
Always a good spot! Nice beers, lovely staff. Very knowledgeable and more than happy to answer any questions. Place is always clean and there's never issues. Pizza is also lovely!
j. w.
We went for a tasting experience. It was good although as it took place in the bar it was difficult to hear our host over the general noise at times. They were generous with samples so plan not to drive afterwards!
A. B.
Great place to pick up some craft beers. You can look around on the website and pick it up here. Staff was really helpful and pleasant to interact with.
S. S.
Like all other BrewDog pubs, this has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, a great range of ales and knowledgeable staff. Didn't try the food, but this remains a really pleasant place for any real ale fan to spend an afternoon.
G.
Love this place... Great bar, staff and PlayStation!
J. C.
I had such a good experience here,
Every single member of staff was so knowledgeable and although the prices of beers were higher than other bars, I had so many free tasters and I really felt like I was paying for an educational experience, not just a pint of lager.
I had a bit of a tour of the beers, from the zeitgeist - a black lager which I didn’t know was a thing, right through to a sour beer made with wild yeast- another thing I didn’t know existed!
I can certainly say I won’t be drinking peroni or corona again after learning that they’re full of off flavours from sunlight damage..
The staff were amazing and the venue was fantastic, I think I might even apply for a job!
I just feel so passionate about craft beer after leaving that place that I want to brew my own stuff!
Can’t wait to get back there!
5 stars all the way
K. B.
“Great Pub, Great Beers and Good Food”
It's a Brewdog, so you know you are going to get a wealth of good beers here
. The atmosphere is relaxing and service is always fast and helpful and don't be embarrassed to ask for taste before you buy.
When out for the night, Brewdog is always on the list of places to visit.
Go and enjoy real beer!
T. S.
Good choice of beers but expensive. There is always a range of changing beers on offer and occasional takeovers from other breweries. Food has just been reintroduced and is delicious, offering slow cooked meats and American-style sides.Being able to play boardgames and retro videogames is great, as is the off licence 'Bottle Dog'.
It's a nice place but the price can be a bit much with punk IPA upwards of £4 a pint, some guests (strong abv) £3 for 2/3 pint. Burgers and sides are a good price but I found the cures cost too much, as nice as they are.
G. G.
Went for a beer and cheese night.
Small little bar.
It was expensive, which is good in some respect as it keeps a lot of the drunks and idiots out of the place so decent responsible people can visit of an evening / weekend without having to put up with fools.
I tried a few different beers and enjoyed them. I went on a groupon else it would have been very expensive.
Nice atmoshpere, can play computer games at the booths too.
D. T.
Brilliant selection of craft beer from brew dog and guest brewers. When I've been the staff have been brilliant, recommended beers based on my taste, offered tasters etc.
My only gripe is that considering most brew dog beers are vegan, the veggie and vegan options for food are pretty poor/ non existent.
R. S.
Probably one of my favourite spots in Leicester. The beer is great, the staff are really friendly and they know their stuff. You can play some retro video games if you want or pick up beers to go from BottleDog. Nothing not to love.
W. H.
The usual selection of decent beer and knowledgeable staff. Some fun things around to entertain such as a couple of consoles and pool tables. Has some pizza available on the food menu plus simple bar snacks (nuts, jerky etc). Would be good to get some hot nibbles similar to as available in other locations, e.g a few chips.
C. F.
Hmmm. I like brewdog beers and went to the bar with a group Saturday and was a designated driver.
They didn't have there non alcoholic beer leaving me on soda water which was the first disappointment.
We then eat upstairs at the new BBQ place. The food portions were a little small and also very average in taste, nothing special.
T. H.
Probably the worst brewdog in the country in terms of venue and size but the staff do try their level best and they are very friendly and accommodating. Upstairs could do with jazzing up - I’ve never seen a building look homeless but the upstairs of this brewdog seems to manage that. Overall, the beer is good, the vibe is good, you don’t get any horrible chavs, staff are friendly and funny and I would recommend popping in for a few
K. E.
An great craft beer experience in an industrial feel bar. Always an excellent choice of brewdog beers, guests and collaborations alongside very good made from scratch pizza (241 on tuesdays)
Not cheap - expect to pay on average £4.50 a pint but good quality. Watch out for the ABVs though, a lot a brewdogs have a deceptive bite!
L. H.
Reds true BBQ had a pop up when visiting here so had an incredible donut burger. Always have a good beer selection too as per brewdog style.
U. K.
If you enjoy variety in your alcoholic beverage then Brewdog is the place to go. Informal but lively. Choose from a variety of beers and ales. Great atmosphere to catch-up with friends, acquaintances and family. Chill with a cold one.
N. M.
Great looking bar. The beer isn't really to my taste and think it is a little overpriced for when you just want a pint at a gig you went to see. Also room where the music happens could do with a bit of sound treatment.
D. P.
Discovered this amazing place today. Great specialist beers/ales and every other Sunday they have a live acoustic session and live acts from all over the UK free for all to enjoy. You have got to check this place out!
J. R.
One of my favourite bars in Leicester. Great beer and awesome vibes. We come here for beers after work, drinks after dinner and it's a great spot for a date - highly recommend!
S.
Loved this place! As a gamer, in Leicester for an ESL event, finding this gem of pub/beer hall was a god-send! Free pool, great beer and even a little StarFox at the table. My fellow travelers spent quite a few hours and many a pound in this particular establishment.
J. H.
Cheers for the Birthday pint guys.
Always decent service and drinks here.
D. S.
I really liked BrewDog. It has a mixed age crowd. Good selection of beers and not just BrewDogs own. Free pool and some really interesting looking board games.
R. W.
Every visit to a Brewdog is accompanied by the usual debate about whether the brewery has become everything they stood in opposition to. I always make the case that if Brewdog and their like are steering folk away from Fosters and into proper beer then I can’t possibly complain. Add to that chirpy and knowledgeable staff, industrial chic decor and, most importantly, excellent beer then it’s hard to not to appreciate this place. 5am Saint is yet to be beaten in my view.
S. R.
Nice and cosy, you can play games as 2 play station consoles, board games and pool tables are available! Great choice of beer and also very good food! One of my favourite places in Leicester 👍
r. c.
Wonderful selection of Ales and a rather fruity shiraz went down too well. Great staff and all new rules adhered too. Lovely place .
J. S.
Good place to relax and try some different / craft beers... maybe play some pinball, a round of pool or sit at one of the booth tables adorned with a PlayStation 2. If you're lucky enough to be there when they bring a new beer online, the staff offer an enthusiastic description of the beer and it's character, celebrating beer like few other places can.
s. e.
Good vegan food, friendly staff and good atmosphere.
L. P.
Perfect service, quick, friendly, informative and downright brilliant. Beautiful venue, well decorated with amazing staff. Nick B and Lewis were especially good.
J. K.
Nice place good selection of drinks if beer is your thing. Its not my thing but found a pint I enjoyed anyway! Decent atmosphere and not too loud music so you can hold conversation. Shame it closes so early
J. B.
Tried this place for the first time the other day and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is great, staff are friendly and the food is very nice. They also have a pool table which is a bonus!
J. O.
Very good beer, staff are friendly. It's a great place to go if you're in the area.
R. L.
Brewdog Beer, what more needs to be said? Their Christmas specials were excellent, but be very careful of the very high ABV beers, far too tasty and easy to drink. Excellent staff.
n. j.
Great pub with even greater beer
J. O.
Great hangout for all folks in Leicestershire. Located on a side street away from the bustling High Street shops, BrewDog serves up the freshest pints for benevolent citizens and travellers!
D. B.
Of all the Brewdog bars I have been to this is the most social and fun one. So several thumbs up for that. Obviously the beer is perfection, but, as a bonus, their food is uniquely tasty! So.
G. W.
Awesome beers and amazing fresh pizza. All the staff are very knowledgeable about there beers and will always offer advice and a taster. Honestly cant fault the place. 🍕🍻
D. B.
Nice pub and you can choose a lot of beers! Inside you have a PS2 and another console , so you can play while you are drinking a beer! There are two pool tables as well.
D. P.
Was my first time visiting a brewdog, I didn't know what I wanted or where to start, the amazing Alice came to my rescue and helped me out with some tasters to choose! the bar is a great place to be and has a really friendly feel, some of the tables have retro games consoles for some social gaming and for when you need food there's the mouthwatering menu! I will now be a brewdog customer from now on and will be visiting my local brewdog in Brighton....Top marks Leicester brewdog!! :-)
C. D.
Great beers, nice venue and has a venue space upstairs. Also a winner is the brewdog shop off to one side of the bar, which is a very tempting thing to browse after a couple of pints!
S. H.
Excellent place for trying all sorts of interesting types of beer with your friends. I happened to go on a night with live music and it was very nice!
Try it! You won't regret it.
R.
Good selection of beers. Can be quite expensive though. Has a good area upstairs where I've been to quizzes and comedy nights. Good atmosphere.
B. K. (.
Great drinks, great food and extremely friendly staff. Ps2 and N64 console in there to be nostalgic about and also some table games. Great place to for a few or even a meal.
S. K.
Ive visited quite a few brewdog bars now and this has got to be up there as one of the best if not thee best, great selection of beers and super friendly and knowledgeable staff(which ive kind of got a custom too in brewdog bars) ... food was also very nice but not the best brewdog food ive had, i think they have outsourced it/run by 3rd party... despite this still gets top marks as has everything you expect from a brewdog and more in arcade machines/consoles and even a pool table (first ive seen i a brewdog), jusy needs a shuffleboard and this would be hard if not impossible to beat
R. P.
Great bar with some amazing beers. Amazing also as you can play pool for free whilst enjoying one of the craft beers.!
J. G.
A lovely chain pub that accepts dogs. Staff were great and brought our pup a water bowl and treats upon arrival.
J. M.
Kieran was brilliant with our tasting session.great place if you're not into pop or mainstream music.amazing selection of craft beers.highly recommended-will definitely go again
p. W.
Visited recently and although quiet, staff were attentive and even brought my four legged friend some water to the table. YES dogs are allowed here. In fact positively encouraged.
L. F.
Visited yesterday good food, great service from the staff :)
S. M.
New food menu is fantastic, had the Pit Burger and Honey Glazed Pork Belly Bites, recommend both! Always a good selections of beers
D. G.
Really nice choice of their own brewed beer. It's expensive, but the beers are good, so it's a great place for a treat.
A. M.
Great atmosphere. Limited choice, but bar staff know their stuff. They have a 42% ice-distilled IPA.
A. M.
Great beers and atmosphere. Can get very busy and service can be slow. Not too cheap either.
L. W.
Brewdog is great, lovely beer. Free pool tables and the staff are really helpful, but not in an in your face way. Which I like.
E. B.
Super friendly and helpful staff, beers are nice but variety in taste is limited (mostly IPA or similar)
K. K.
The best beers, and good pizza too (once you put a bit of extra salt on it)!
Well worth a visit; and why not stay a while while you are at it?
L. F.
Great beer and food, awesome atmosphere with brill staff.
R. W.
Friendly staff, good service, great beer
R. S.
Fabulous choice of beer, food OK and not pricey, great staff, recommend
S. M.
Two times a year I visit the UK. Four times a year I visit this Brewdogs. Always a decent selection. Polite , helpful and knowledgeable staff.
M. A.
Another BrewDog = another great experience!
F.
My personal favourite Brewdog. Staff are very friendly
S. R.
