Came here for breakfast, before exploring the city, staff were all very friendly and helpful, as soon as we arrived, they checked we didn't have any allergies and was shown straight to a table. There is a huge choice on the breakfast menu, from toast, wraps, French toast and full English. This is a restaurant, where you get what you pay for, cheap and cheerful.

Popped in on the off chance of a evening meal. Restaurant was busy but accommodated us easily. Service was very quick and the young girl Maisy was very polite and courteous. The food arrived very quickly and was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Our party of three were all extremely satisfied with our meals. The prices were very reasonable and a family of three with drinks for £60 is very good. Would highly recommend Frankie and Bennys and the superb staff at Leicester highcross.

Our waiter today (table 2) was brilliant, he helped me decide on a healthy option and my son loved the beef lasagna. The price was reasonable, not cheap, but certainly not the worst. The toilets were clean and the restaurant itself looked amazing. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Food was great, but cheese and bacon fries needed more of both to justify the price. Clazone was bigger than expected but very tasty. Chicken tenders were really crispy, wonderful. Could have also had another Pepsi float, but was full on the food. Service was great and was not waiting long to be served or checked on.

I was given a Groupon deal so I hadn't chosen to eat here myself, I'm not huge on chain restaurants. But wow. I got the king prawn risotto and for desert the cheese cake, and I was surprised the risotto was rich and creamy, yet it wasn't too heavy, the prawn came through very clear and wasn't overpowering but wasn't doused by how rich the risotto was and the rocket on top was just perfect. Honestly just an uncomplicated and delicate dish. The cheesecake was also very good, simple and balanced not too sweet overly rich, or heavy. The staff staff are very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is chilled and classy with a kind of American diner style. Food was all also well priced. My meal came too about £20. I would recommend.

Went in tonight for a last minute meal after shopping and was greeted by a waitress at the table called Lucy, throughout the meal she was behind amazing and always checked up on us and asked if we needed anything. Unfortunately when I went to put salt and pepper on my burger I realised a piece of plastic amongst the garnish and sauce. I notified Lucy and immediately she apologised about the incident and inconvenience, she was very professional and polite, offering me a new meal freshly cooked, a free drink and a free side, she made sure it was made as soon as possible for me and once I received the food she apologised again and checked up on us before we left. All in all Lucy went above and beyond for us throughout the night and deserves some recognition for her amazing customer service and her general personality is amazing cracking a few jokes with us and making sure we left happy.

We were quickly served and sat near the kitchen area. Our server was lovely and came to take our drinks order and came back when we wanted to order our food. No problem ordering my daughters food first. I then noticed what I thought was my dinner out on the side, and it was ages before the other food was ready. Mine was therefore not very hot and a bit dry after sitting under the light for so long. They were busy but surely the chefs should be makings tables food to be ready together not relying on lights to keep it warm. At times I could see other orders sat waiting for ages as well. It has made me think twice about coming back.

A delightful Sunday evening. Visited around 7pm, not too busy. Was seated by a lady guessing a manager who was friendly and asked us about allergies, which is nice to see nowadays, then told us our server Maisy would be with us shortly. Didnt have to wait long at all. Food was delicious and served promptly. Our waitress went out her way to make sure everything was perfect for us from start to finish. Will definitely be coming back to visit when next in the city center.

We have visited frankie and bennys many times in the past and have always really enjoyed our experience but tonight's visit wasn't the best as we noticed that the menu had been cut right down to the bare minimum of choices to have to eat.plus I also noticed that the prices for the food had risen quite alot.the food was nice however my first drink of coke cola tested off but was quickly replaced.have been there a few times in the past I dont think I will be returning any time soon as I think its over priced as 2 meals and 2 desserts and 2 cokes shouldn't have added upto 70 quid

I have been to this restaurant several times. I can not tell that it is the most perfect place, but the fours stars it really deserves. They have very nice cocktails GODFATHER (some of them you could have for a special price if you visit SUNDAY - THURSDAY 5-7PM), many special offers through apps and you could get 10pounds off if you write a review. Furthermore, the food is delicious, but not all meals are perfect. I really love F&B MEATBALLS and ceasar salad. My bf prefer CHICKEN PARMIGIANA.

The food was super tasty but the portions were huge. We ordered a chicken parmigiana and a chicken parmigiana sub. The chicken parmigiana came either two big chicken breasts, pasta and chips or broccoli. The breadcrumbs on the chicken were very tasty and super crunchy. Some of the staff were a bit disorganised, brought someone else's food then someone else's drink to us. They looked a bit stressed, we were seated at the front could overhear their conversations. Ordered breakfast stackers, which were nice & tasty. The problem was the drinks. A tiny cup of tea that arrived with only a third full of hot water which cost £1.80. A coffee that was very bitter & half full and a fresh orange juice that cost £2.80 and all I got was a glass of ice. I Took all the ice out and I was left with under a third of a glass of actual juice. Very overpriced.

Mixed bag really. It was ok, the food was clesrly fresh and well prepared but it lacked value for money, not much scoff comparatively to what you pay for it. I ordered yorkshire tea was disappointing to get a little teacup and not a mug and even then it was only half full and they bought it out with cane sugar so i had to ask for a sweetener. Waiter was ok neither bad nor great. It was clean as far as i could see as were the toilets, music was too low to hear and enjoy

From when i walked in all staff were amazing. I had a buggy and they found suitable seating. Alex was serving us and was brilliant with my children. He was so helpful and lovely. Usually lovely here, we decided to go for breakfast instead. No dairy free milk - so definitely not catering for dietary requirements in that sense. Managed to make enough swaps to eat a reasonable breakfast but wasn't impressed. We have been to better places for breakfast. Evening menu is lovely, lots of choice.

First time at this Frankie & Benny's and it was good. Family friendly with lots of choice on the menus. In the toilets they have a lower sink for children which I thought was a lovely touch. The staff were attentive and didn't have to wait long and got a table on a Sunday lunchtime easily without booking. Good activity set given to our 5 year old which kept him amused and he enjoyed doing. Lots of tables packed in and I wouldn't go there for a romantic meal, but would definately go back as a family or a friend get together. Lovely hot dogs and dessert menu too.

Julia from Latvia was a wonderful hostess who gave us her best smiles and manners which left us belly full and happy from the moment we walked into Frankie and Benny’s Highcross until the moment we walked out. The classic Italian food was modern and the constant drink refills were refreshing. All dietary requirements were met to a great standard and there was no problems at all. I would definitely come back here time and time again with Julia serving us. The restaurant was clean, airy and bright . Staff were always happy to help. I wouldn't of had my birthday anywhere else.

The gentleman that looked after us was so kind and polite, making sure we had everything we need and that really made the meal as the food was quite average. The choice is great on the menu but the food was very overcooked and if you don't go for the lunch menu then it's quite overpriced. That's just my opinion on this branch on that day, I wouldn't like to say if this is how they are everyday (reflecting on their cooking) but unfortunately the cooking wasn't up to scratch the day I went.

Really good place, and absolutely love all the vegan food. We never would've gone here until they started doing all the vegan food so they've done well! It's also proper food, not doing what a lot of places do where they assume that being vegan means you want to be healthy haha! Service was a tad slow but it was Valentine's Day and super busy so acceptable, and staff were super friendly. One small issue to point out is that the taps on both sinks in the men's toilets are completely loose so they almost come off. Otherwise though, really good place and I'd recommend!

The new summer introduction menu is fantastic. I have been a vegetarian for 35 years and ordered the spicy spaghetti. It was like nothing I had tasted before it was out of this world. We meet on a regular basis with my father in law and we always have an enjoyable gathering and staff are happy to see us each and every time x They always seem to excel on each visit. Our children love it there and being dairy free we know they can eat safely too. They can even enjoy vegan ice cream.

Great food options, fantastic service, but just seems overpriced for what you get. Came to F&Bs for a meal out with my partner, the service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a calzone and the pasta Ragu. The pasta was quite small for the price (£12) and taste wise it was pretty basic, the calzone was nice though. We also ordered dessert at £6 a pop. The chocomisu was lovely though quite small, the cheesecake however was more like squirty cream on a biscuit base, definitely not worth the money. Overall we had a pleasant evening but left feeling like there are far better places to eat out in Leicester.

The atmosphere is always friendly and warm. Never had a problem with the food. If anything could be improved, it would be the occasional times that our waiter seemed to go AWOL. Oddly enough, this only happens when we dined during quiet periods. Other than that, it's a great place for food and spending time with friends.

We was sat in a big booth over in the corner of the restaurant which was really nice as it was very quiet compared to the other very busy side. Our waitress Vic was friendly and chatty and even seemed to be tending to the bar as well as making sure we was all OK which was amazing! I never normally leave reviews on anything, but the service we received was properly the best I have ever had in a restaurant. We can't thank Brad enough for looking after us throughout the whole night! He was able to laugh and joke with us - the only staff member who I actually saw smile. No one else bothered to check on our table. We were waiting a while to even get our drinks order taken but we can't blame Brad at all as he was also working over the opposite side of the restaurant. The food was amazing minus the dessert. Although it didn't look anything like the picture (strawberry mess waffles) Brad took this off the bill for us so thank you!!

Knowing that me and my housemate have specific dining instructions going somewhere new can be a challenge. My housemate can't eat anything from the garlic family, including onions, and I have a host of autistic issues that can make Resturant's a daunting prospect. After having a quick chat with the waiter we were offered a pizza designed around my housemates allergies and I selected a calzone filled with macaroni cheese. So far so good. When the food came out I found that my dish had a wooden handled knife, and I am unable to touch what can be described as 'slightly rough' without getting a sense of being electrocuted up my arms and down my spine. I tried a few times to attack my food with the standard butter knife to no avail so asked a waiter if they had any different knives. Unfortunatly they did not, however the waiter went to check if they had any other options. One of the managers came back to ask me to give him a minute whilst he popped across the road to another Resturant to get one of theirs. 5 minutes later I was handed a borrowed and useable knife and I proceeded to devour a lovely meal. Top service going that extra mile. Would recommend this frankie and bennies to anyone!

Normally always go to the Meridain frankie n bennys in Leicester but i must say the high cross is ten times better excellent service by Chloe the waitress and I’ve had brianey also excellent service .Food was hot and delicious i always order the same chicken n ribs combo and house potatoes ,garlic bread with cheese to die for oh and a bottle of their finest prosecco which has to be cold and always comes cold and refreshed in ice bucket even down to little details the glass flute was cold minor trick but excellent service as I’m in the bar industry detail is key ,so will definitely be coming back to the high cross making memories .
