We loved our food! We wanted to eat Italian food in the heart of Lincoln. So, we decided to try Ask Italian. It is super great. The staff are very friendly and the service is amazing. We sat upstairs by the window. The view was stunning.

What an unexpected surprise. I've not been here for a very long time, and now a regret it. I wish I'd gone back sooner. Firstly, I'll waitress Imogen was amazing and we asked for recommendations which she loved and recommended the calazoni and a pasta dish. We had the pasta dish, the manzo then my partner decided to have a pizza stormboli with added salami and pancetta. The manzo was full of flavour ,so delicious, stormboli at the extra toppings my partner said it was the best pizza he's ever had and he is the fussiest man. For side we just have some chips , roasting hot. Not greasy at all. Perfect size for side for 2. I have to say the service we received from Imogen was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, helpful. Great communication fun. Also second staff member very chatty talking to my partner but it's top again. Great communication and customer service. And on the way out my partner the fussiest man on earth complemented the man that made his pizza so well done to ask.

As a lone diner, I sadly wasn't made to feel that most welcome. My food was nice, very warm - the pasta was slightly undercooked and sloppy in places. while busy they weren't that busy and I expected the staff to be slight more attentive. They missed out on a drink refill as I could flag down a staff member.

Amazing food and good energizing vibes, went there on the Euro 2020 England vs Germany day and it was absolutely refreshing with a very friendly staff that started off with a welcome pink lemonade drink. We had many plates at the day and I loved them all, my favorite out of which was the purple basil pesto pasta very rich in flavor and very fresh (i think they may be making their own pasta dough) that really awakens all your senses from the presentation till you dive in the veggie, herbal, pine nutty, pesto classical yet rebellious nature of this dish. I also fell in love with the Mushroom Al Forno starter that had a bit of creaminess in the texture with the mozzarella, riserva cheese, garlic mayo yet balanced with the breadcrumbs. Even for the “Pollo E Funghi”pizza, i believe this may be the best pizza I have had in the UK, the dough is so crunchy thin and fresh and same are all the ingredients. For desserts, The menu mentioned that Chocolate Etna is a customer’s favorite and it was good but it didn’t really amaze me unlike the chocolate gnocchi which had a creamy nutella filling and a rich a bit bitter chocolate dip to balance out every bite.

Standard Ask Italian restaurant.(standard menu as well) Decent enough atmosphere,not too loud. The food and service was outstanding, we really enjoyed it. No waiting,polite service and not in your face. Drinks are on the expensive side though. Not much of a view,it's opposite Wagammas and that blocks out views of Brayford Wharf. But straight out of the door and you are on Brayford Wharf.

Great food and good service but highly disappointed as they no longer accept Tesco vouchers. I have been multiple times previously and they have accepted. Definitely took the shine off it for us and in future we'll go somewhere like Pizza Express or Zizzi who take them.

Considering this is a part of a chain, it was a good pizza restaurant. The food was ok, the service was good and the surroundings very conducve to a nice evening (which we had). Excellent venue, great staff, Nikki helpful/attentive waitressing, & great welcome. The food is fantastic, best Calzone ever! Hot & spicey. Tried the desert "Rhubarb, pink ravioli & custard"-incredible! Good social distancing arrangements in place. Highly reccomended, close to a multistorey car park on "Lucy Tower street", shops & town 10min walk away. Brilliant.

Still a great place to dine out. Been many times since moving to Lincoln. Food has always been tasty, in an ideal location on the brayford waterfront. Great service from the waitress who served us, pleasant and willing to strike up a conversation. Nice choice of non-alcoholic drinks/cocktails which was nice. Thoroughly recommend the N'Duja Bites and the From Calabria with Love pizza if available.

Food was alright but not to write home about. Large roughly sliced chunks of red onion in a salad that hadn't been blanched. Most annoyingly the staff were clattering around with gay abandon making a lot of noise in the counter area throwing handfuls of cutlery into containers. Chose your table carefully!

Visited the waterfront at Lincoln yesterday. Ask Italin restaurant. Was looked after by Craig. Lovely polite young man, that did everything just right. Food was lush, place was beautiful and clean. Atmosphere was very warm. Can't wait to go again. Highly recommend.

Really lovely food and helpful staff. The calzone was lovely and they made to order minus the chillis for me. I was little late at arriving and my friends had ordered for me. The staff came over to offer to reheat my food when I arrived. Oh and the marshmallow cone dessert was out of this world!!! Only small drawback was the door lets in quite a lot of cold when its opened (quite a problem as lincoln is especially bad for gale force winds) and some of the tables are really close to the door. However, it was a really pleasant experience overall, will be going again and would recommend.

The staff we quick to attend to you and have you enough space but we're never too far away. I got the lamb shoulder pizza in which the lamb was quite sparse but the overall size of the pizza was large which I enjoyed very much.

There are 3 Italian style restaurants to choose from along the waterfront. This is by far the best one! The staff were so friendly! They couldn't do enough to be helpful and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and we were REALLY impressed with the quality. You can tell that the ingredients have been well thought through and we LOVED that the kids meal has options like FRESH orange juice and a SUGAR FREE ice lolly for desert. So many places only have high sugar options for kids, which is so bad for them. We will definitely come again and this 100% deserves 5/5 stars in every single way! 3 very happy, full customers. Went last Saturday, nice weather so we sat outside. All the staff your great, attentive and chatty. Food was great, thoroughly enjoyed it. The only issue was that there was a limited selection of wine. Not all the reds listed were available due to delivery issues and probably brexit, so it's not down to the restaurant. Either way, I would merrily return.

Absolutely fantastic service, Jade was very attentive and the other guy who served us (I'm sorry, I can't remember your name) was bubbly and happy and had great but very tasteful banter - he read the group well. They were also very accommodating, I am annoying when it comes to dessert as I'd rather have a starter and this was no issue! Only lost a star because we had to sit outside, even though inside was almost empty and no one arrived during our stay. Bar that, food was great, and our waiter and Jade were fab! Thanks :)

The food it good and the restaurant is in a lovely place. There is a large car park just next to the restaurant so very convenient. The staff was nice, but a bit slow. It was a busy Friday so one could understand it, but it took them over half an hour to bring us water. But I recommend if you like Italian food.

Very nice location by the waterfront and next to the car park. Plenty of tables outside but a little confusing regarding check in procedure. Once seated we were invited to use the camera on our phone to order and pay but alas this didn't work correctly do we ordered via the waitress and paid by machine. Food selection is good but both our dishes were a little undercooked. Otherwise a pleasant visit.

So I decided to venture out of Telford as all the restaurants around here are boring and we stumbled Upton ask Italian in Lincoln the views we’re absolutely outstanding and the service was to die for. I can’t remember the ladies name but I think it was Jade and she restored my faith in ask Italian as I’ve been to the restaurant in Shrewsbury and it as diabolical. The food here was like heaven on a plate I 100% recommended this restaurant and if your lucky enough to have Jade as your waiter your in for a treat she even brought me over the garlic mayo 😍 Anyway I’m rambling on abs my husband shouts at me for it so why are you still reading this get yourself down there. Just been delivered food from deliveroo, pizza had no sauce very very dry what little ingredients on that pizza was all placed in the middle! Calamari cold and rubbery, chips soggy and cold. Formaggi fritti hollow. And to top it all off it took over an hour to be delivered. Over £50 spent on this I am not happy and I will be posting on my Google review account too!! Not even worth 1 star Update I've called and they have been very sorry and listened to what I had to say which I really appreciate, so thank you.

Four of us ate here yesterday and thought we would take advantage of the 'eat out to help out' incentive. So pleased we chose Ask as the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We could not have asked for better. My partner is very picky with food and he thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10 from us. Went here a couple weeks ago for lunch. Service with a smile was lovely but maybe just tone it down as it can be really in your face. Food on the other hand was excellent. In terms of food I had the chicken snitzel and .y partner had a chicken salad. Can confirm the chicken salad here is really good compared to prezzo next door that has the salad making skills of a chocolate teapot. Recommend this place over them.

Staff were so friendly from the second we stepped in to the restaurant. Really attractive interior, and generally a nice experience. I personally wasn't blown away by the food, my calamari was actually pointless, flavourless, measly, and floppy! The dough sticks were tough and chewy, however, my partner said it was the best calzone he has ever had and I really enjoyed the other aspects of my platter, so this, alone with the service, would draw us to go back in future.

Fabulous!! they give you a free yes! free! "starter drink" then u can order ya food and drinks as normal....at the moment it's all outdoor seating cause of the covid situation.....but they ask you for contact details etc and have u booked etc..... when I came here with my mum.... there was only a 30 minutes wait time for food..... failing that..... very nice service from a posh restaurant! Walked in and being ceoliac I'm always abit on edge eating out 1st question was how many people and 2nd question was there any Allergens told them of my situation and they gave me a gluten free menu no stress and I could eat anything on the menu...I wish more restaurants was like this! Really nice staff in the Lincoln branch by the Marina. We stopped by spontaneously with no booking but front of house were really helpful and made us feel welcome while making sure covid measures were observed without making a big fuss like in other places. Good choice on the menu for food and is reasonably priced. The view of the water is obscured by the huge Wagamama across the footpath, which is a shame. The staff were very friendly and supportive. I know the toilets are upstairs and I am not sure of the access for people who cannot get up there. We had pizzas which were so yummy (and the vegan options and menu is great!) and a pudding which was very difficult to choose because of how many great options there are (there are also vegan and gluten free options)

The best pizza I've ever had!! I chose the vegan pizza which had a pea puree rather than the usual tomato one and asked for it without any pepper. It came with one kind of pepper and the waiting staff were very apologetic and offered to get me a fresh one made, I was happy to remove them few bits of pepper so declined. It really was very tasty without the peppers, I loved it.

Booking a few days in advance for 9 people (teenagers) at 5.30 after failing to book any where else for a Saturday night, we came for a quick meal after the cinema and before our train later in the evening (7.00). Ordering pizzas, the food arrives within 10-15 minutes and was very good. The staff were friendly and I will definitely be booking there again.

Really happy with our experience at this ASK Italian, the staff were the real highlight being very happy and smiley. From our first greeting to final goodbye from the floor manager, there was a little more conversation given than expected. We caught them just at the end of a large rush, however, food was still of great quality, staff seemed tired but this did not put them off providing great service.

Very expensive for the quality. Barely any chicken in the dish I had, nearly all pasta & it was £11.75! Although the staff were polite, they weren't very attentive & service was pretty slow. Food excellent as expected (the pizza dough alone is fantastic), all ingredients taste fresh, staff and service really very good. Can be a bit pricey but this isn't such a concern as they often have offers or vouchers available as well as being on tastecard (possibly others?). We were made to feel most welcome and will likely return at some point. Its also worth mentioning the staff seem to know the menu well, so if you are unsure of anything they can help you out :)

Fabulous! Service with a smile, even though busy. Food was wonderful, bursting with flavours brushetta, small carbonara was not very small, salad was one of the best I've had, so full of colours and tastes. Finished off with a pear tart. Booked a table for mother's Day as they had a really good 3 course menu with prosecco for under £20. The food was really good and our waitress was lovely but thats the only nice thing I can say about my experience. Waited 40mins for starter, mine was missing and had to wait another 20mins for it. My main course was missing and had to wait another 15 minutes for that. When we ordered dessert it took another 30 mins before they arrived and my daughter's was missing. They were really good about it and my meal ended up free. They were obviously overwhelmed with bookings and didn't have enough staff on. Would probably go again but not on mother's Day!!

The girl serving us did an excellent job, the food was well prepared. It's just a pity that it's about as authentic to Italian food as a hamburger is to traditional Japanese food. Stop putting rocket on anything that requires something green and salad like on it. The Italians would use something else like fresh basil instead of ruining it like that.

OK so here I am at Ask Italian enjoying my Christmas meal with 8 of my friends and 11 days into #noWHAMdecember they start banging out Last Christmas by the aforementioned WHAM. Dissapointed by this after I tried very hard to avoid the Whammagedeon. The atmosphere was very Italian much to the names expectations, but when I went to Italy* I wasn't allowed to pay in the English money and left without my wallet and trousers. This experience was not recreated here which made me lose some immersion.
