Platter of mouthwatering food. The service is excellent and the chef is extremely passionate. Providing extra detail of the food & making sure you're happy. I'm definitely coming back here. Their food is fresh and tasty. Plenty of coffee's, nice selection of alcohol, but the food is what I'm here for. Can't wait for pizza night.

Oh we really liked this place, it is not quite on the main shopping street but just a short detour away. We only popped in for coffee and cake but we will go there for dinner soon. Nice spacious Resturant with excellent service. I liked how the waiter explained what was available on the menu. Very possibly the best baked cheesecake I have ever tasted. Loved it. Go here for the best hot chocolate ever.

What a great evening! Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this cozy and different restaurant/café in Lincoln! The food and the menu are proper Italian: great quality and taste! We all had pizza...and wow! Finally, we have found a place in Lincoln where to eat the real pizza Napoli's style! We had also cannoli as dessert- delicious! Just had the most perfectly enjoyable anniversary dinner with my partner at this supererb restaurant. It is a secret gem, hidden away just off upper High Street Lincoln. If you like fresh Italian cuisine from an independent establishment, this is the place! Nice relaxing ambience, plenty of space and friendly attentive staff who can'tplease you enough. WOW! The food here is amazing!! The staff are beyond the best service I have ever experienced here in Lincoln. I recommend coming here and give it a try because you will love it. The atmosphere is nice and pleasant and very clean. The bathroom is also clean unlike the other places on high st. Really enjoyed my visit this evening. Tuscan casserole and borlotti beans from the specials board was sensational. Charming young lady waitress was very helpful not only with suggestions for our meal but ideas for places to visit in Lincoln. Great service. Quiet and a bit off the beaten track so it always feels quite special. I had a mozzarella, pesto and roast tomato sandwich which was delicious and moreish. It's not cheap, but it is worth paying a little more for great food and lovely atmosphere.

Went in the evening for a social with friends. Really nice atmosphere, our table was ready and waiting and the Caffè was well ventilated. The menu is Italian, pizza and pasta with a good selection of cakes and other desserts. My pizza was delicious, the base is really tasty and authentic and the toppings were generous. My friends were equally pleased with their choices (platter and pasta) but the pasta portion wasn't v generous. Friendly and attentive staff and delicious authentic liqueurs too.

Only stopped for a coffee it was OK. The Americano was very small in size to compare with my friends latte. Price wise what you would expect from that location and very busy whilst there . So first time we have been here, booked a table for two. Menu is great with a good choice of pizza! Excellent service and quick. Super friendly staff with a great focus on detail. We started with a ciabatta and balsamic dip and bowl of olives - fantastico! Portion size was great and flavour lovely. We followed this with two absolutely amazing pizza's, well where to start other than they were absolutely amazing and no doubt the best pizza's I've ever had. Thanks to the hard work of the staff, this place is one of only six in the UK to have earned accreditation by AVPN of NAPLES to use traditional methods to make genuine neopolitan pizza. Well worth trying as you'll not be disappointed. Not to mention they have a handbuilt wood fired oven not some commercial fast food oven. After this we were given complimentary orangecelo on the house and we ordered a latte and cappacino to finish off the meal. This place really is a little bit of Italy 🇮🇹 that's not actually in Italy 🇮🇹, if your in lincoln then you definitely should try this place 5* a must go, you'd be missing out if you didn't! Not hungry? Then you can just have a coffee during the day which was also amazing.

The most amazing breakfast I’ve ever had! I popped in one morning and decided to go for the full English/Italian. The service was excellent and prompt. I complimented the server and they told me all the items are locally sourced, apart from the Italian home made hot tomatoes (amazing btw). A great way to start the day.

Amazing customer service! AND amazing food! For some reason our order kept getting dropped by Uber-eats drivers, so someone from Caffe Portico called us. They explained they had re-made our food twice so we would get it hot and confirmed Uber-eats failed to deliver them. The person on the phone was so friendly and apologetic. He even make us an extra free pizza. As always they were delicious!!!!

Got caught in a torrential downpour so ran to the nearest Caffè which was Portico, and we were glad it was. Covid protocols were thorough, but this seemed to be the philosophy of the Caffè, if it needs to be done, do it properly. The service, food and drinks were all excellent. I think I may have had pickled fennel with my salad and I would happily drive the 120 miles back to Lincoln to have it again. Many thanks for a great lunch.

This is situated in a peaceful area of Lincoln just off of Steep Hill. A nice chilled cafe with big windows that you can sit and stare out of, as you figure out what the answer to that cross word puzzle is, or to mull over Lincolns vast history...or just look out of as you have a coffee. The venue is quiet and relaxed with an eloquent set up and design. The drinks and snack (while on the pricey side) are lovely and have a wide variety (the coffee). The staff are also very friendly!

Well, what to say. Probably the best pizza in Lincoln. And probably because Sim follows the correct preparation using the right ingredients. I come here for dinner (pizza is served only on Friday night) almost every two weeks and I'm never disappointed. We knew nothing of it's existence until we won a prize of lunch for 2 here, then I had to google it to find out that it was almost on our doorstep. We were greeted warmly and invited to choose a table, select any lunch from the board and a coffee. The guy followed us and told the staff it was a prize and there was no charge and we set about choosing our meal. I had quite a good view of the board but my husband didn't so we moved to the next table, which caused utter confusion as when I went to order, my hubby had nipped back to the car as we forgot to put a ticket on it and the guy who greeted us took our order believing we were sat at the other table, so the couple who came and sat there received our coffees and it was only when the waitress took our food to them that the mix up was realised. We did get our meals and our coffees and very tasty they were too. My husband had Lincolnshire sausage with onion on ciabbatta and I had Lincoln red beef with horseradish mayo on ciabbatta, absolutely delicious. We will go back again and hopefully soon.
