Reviews of Casa Italia
L. H.
Definitely my favourite Italian in Liverpool. There is always a queue which is a sign of a good restaurant! But people come and go so never have to wait too long. The food is fantastic, the staff are welcoming and polite and it’s a good old-fashioned Italian restaurant. Everything comes to your table piping hot and fresh and the desserts are fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant
K. S.
Amazing staff couldn't do enough. Eventhough the restaurant was very busy the staff didn't make you feel rushed. Beautiful food. I would definitely recommend this fantastic place to eat.
k. s.
the restaurant is so cute and cozy, but so busy. that’s how we knew we were in a good restaurant! the staff was so kind and speedy! i had the best pesto of my life here!!! we also ordered the antipasta “garlic bread.” i already want to go back! when we left the restaurant there was a line down the block!!!! but totally would be worth it to wait
D. T.
Megan & Alex. The most helpful and insightful members of staff I’ve ever met in any restaurant! Kudos to them 👏🏼 their recommendations were fab we loved every bit of our food! Can’t wait to come back. There was a queue but you can see why and we only waited 15 min.
M. B.
A very well-known Italian restaurant in Liverpool my first time , my extended family have been visiting The Casa as I aways heard it said ..great will definitely 💯 recommend it all the other food I sore lood fabulous too👍👍👍
T. S. V.
It’s a great deal but not amazing. Tasty food and good prices (£10-12 per dish). Excellent service and a guaranteed queue outside. Good affordable wine included.
K. D.
Fantastic food. Absolutely loved the lasagna. Staff were brilliant and so friendly. Good quality for a good price. Get there early, there’s always a massive queue.
L. M.
Absolutely beautiful food, I loved the atmosphere!
It reminds me of a little eatery in Italy.
Staff are very attentive and friendly.
We will most definitely return when we visit Liverpool again.
Thank you for the pleasant experience.
D. C.
Beautiful home-made QUALITY food, served with a smile. Queues outside the door shows just how popular this place is. Really busy and lively inside. Tables dressed with traditional table cloths. The contented chatter and old-world cheerful interior give this place a seriously positive vibe. The must-go-to place for genuine Italian food and atmosphere.😊
E. M.
Stunning food. It was the best Italian I ever had in the UK. Absolutely fabulous. Couldn't recommend enough. Garlic focaccia with cheese was something else. And the pastas were delicious too 😍😍
K.
Wanted to go for ages , didn't disappoint. Best Italian I've been in Liverpool no doubt. Proper sized portions and everything the 7 of us had was perfect. Could barely move or breath when I left so happy days
L. J.
Honestly the best italian food in Liverpool. A quaint, cute restaurant with a family run feel and staff who are very polite and helpful. We had a member of our party cancel last minute but this was no issue for them and I was very put at ease.
The bruschetta was amazing, everything tastes freshly made and the balance of flavours are perfect. I got the baked pasta which was incredibly indulgent, I struggled to finish but it was just so good. All of us enjoyed our meals from the pasta to pizza.
The gelato is also delicious and only 99p per scoop it was a perfect small dessert to finish on and the quality didn’t waver.
It can get very busy but that’s always a good sign with restaurants, the staff handle the pressure of a lot of customers very well and we never felt like we were waiting long to call someone over. Definitely will be returning again.
M. K.
It was nice. Wouldn't go over the top and certainly wouldn't que to get in. The garlic bread with cheese is lovely but £2 to add the cheese to it is a bit much. £3 for a small coke is a bit of a ripoff. Over all the prices aren't too bad though.
C. C.
The food is amazing here! Staff are lovely and very welcoming. We weren’t waiting long for a table and we had visited at 5pm on a Friday. Feels like your actually in Italy whilst eating here. Highly recommend and looking forward to visiting again!
R. M.
Stunning food and one of the best Italians I have ever been to. Reasonably priced and fantastic customer service. You can't prebook you have to queue to get in but trust me it's worth the wait
C. J.
I was dining alone on a business trip and arrived at a busy Monday night restaurant where it would’ve been easy to turn away a one man table in favour of more paying guests. The staff were non-compromising and extremely friendly - offering honest advice on portions when sensing I’d clearly had bigger eyes than stomach! Food was excellent, house wine was great and the overall quality of food and service left me compelled to leave a rare review. Brilliant, highly recommended, and another visit in the bag next time I’m here. Well done all… 😃
B. B.
Just had the most fantastic meal at this busy but amazing restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive serving us with the most delicious food 😋.
My only one slight issue was, as we were on the top floor the heat was quite uncomfortable and unfortunately made us want to leave before we had dessert 🍨. All round though a great little Italian
P. D.
Great experience, food, service and prices. We were in a rush to catch our train and literally we ordered, ate, paid and got a take away desert in 40 mins.
The food was absolutely amazing and the people were extremely kind and helpful although the restaurant was packed. I would recommend it without any doubt!
J. W.
Always a great choice. My sister and her husband live in Glasgow, but this is their local restaurant! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Lasagne shown here. Delicious.
J. L.
Worth the half an hour wait. Better than an Italian you'll visit. Traditional and beautiful! Visit this place if you're in Liverpool.
J. J.
Very quick service and nice ambiance. However food was very average and didn't really remind me much of Itally.
O. D.
Been going here 28 years.. Think that tells you all you need to know.. Staff are great, food is amazing.. The Only down side is the queue outside the front door you have to wait in to get in. Could do with opening the upstairs more often too accommodate at busy periods..
N. C.
One of the best Italian meals I have ever had. The lasagne was amazing . The cheese cake was fantastic too. I was on a trip from Nottingham with my friend. I wish I lived nearer!
S. P.
Friendly staff got us a table super efficiently even though we had to go back and forth from our hotel to collect my wallet ❤️ Therefore 5 star for their service. Proper Covid measures seem to be in place too!
S. K.
Its full during dinner time, we are lucky only wait for few minutes and got our table. Looks like a family run restaurant. The food is so good, fresh and delicious. The service is fast and the staffs are very friendly. Price also reasonable, this is the kind of restaurant you will come everyday.
M. t. H.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Liverpool. Busy place so need to make a reservation. Great pasta and desserts!
J. J.
Love this place. I've been coming here all of my life as it was always my Nonna's favourite place to eat out. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing, homemade, big portions and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend.
D. H.
Absolutely beautiful meal once again. The service and atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. It's been a pleasure to dine here for more than 30 years! ❤

30th september 2020
The place is close to the city center.
The staff is accomodating.
Serving good food and in large portions. Had a lasagna and it was really meaty and tasty.
R. W.
Absolutely amazing place. Quality food, simple no frills ambiance. And brilliant staff. A must visit place if you're in Liverpool.
K. D.
I've been visiting since I can remember, my 5th birthday with my now late grandmother and just the other day to celebrate the purchase of our first home. 28 years of wonderful memories, great food and lovely service. Recommend to all.
M. C.
Excellent food and very good service but the Booking situation doesn't suit everyone, online only and Bookings of 6 or more only, otherwise queue up outside...Talking on the phone is still Fashionable....!!!
P. C.
Visited after seeing show at Empire. Lovely Lasagne and friends Pizzas also excellent. Large portions and very good value.
L. C.
Had a lovely meal here this evening portions are so big there was a queue outside to get in so obviously we knew it had a good food would highly recommend amazing
N. M.
Fantastic restaurant best Italian food highly recommend we had a party of 16 well looked after staff went to great lengths to accommodate looking forward to go again top notch
M. H.
Food was amazing so tasty and you can tell its homemade, friendly staff, only downside is we had to queue outside for about 20 mins for a table as you can't book a table unless it's 6 or more ppl
J. P.
Absolutely love this place.
Friendly staff, incredible food and really reasonably priced!
G. C.
We were in Liverpool for my 30th birthday and wanted some lunch as we were a little hungover from the night before and felt like some pizza. We read some reviews for this place saying it was the best pizza in Liverpool so went and gave it a go. We both really enjoyed our pizzas - they were absolutely delicious! We also had the dough balls too which were nice. Really nice restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. It actually goes over 3 floors so there's lots of space. Will be going again the next time we are back in the city but next time I will make sure I finish my dough balls!
i. r.
Great food. Friendly staff with excellent food. Can get busy. Food reasonably priced.
g. h.
Lovely quiet place to bring your whole family.seating upstairs, lovely staff.excellent food.
n.
Went at about 17:30 on Wednesday and had to wait 25 mins to get seated. Would strongly recommend the cheese garlic bread. The pizza was good but too soft on the bottom. Took a while to get served, and other tables that arrived after us were getting served sooner. Would definitely return though because it had great prices and a great atmosphere.
A. E.
Very quick service considering how busy the restaurant was. Good quality food too.
A. R.
Can't recommend their signature lasagna enough!! My friends had pizza but they kept stealing from my cheesy vegetarian heaven till they finished it. Worth trying of you are in Liverpool
M. B.
Fantastic no thrills Italian! Be prepared to queue but it'll be worth the wait. I had the calzone which was the best I've ever had. A must if you're visiting Liverpool.
A. M.
Been here once a few years back but the most recent visit was a few weeks ago with a group of friends. The member of staff (I assume was the owner) was very abrupt and pushy. The whole experience seemed rushed, as if they were wanting us in and out so they could get more customers in, which was weird because when we finished and paid the bill the restaurant was pretty empty. The food is nice, but wouldn't say it was the best Italian like others have said.
K. M.
We had our wedding meal here on Friday 3rd September and we couldn't fault the whole experience. The food was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for all our guests.
Thank you for making our wedding day so special and keeping our friends so happy.
J. O.
The best Italian restaurant in Liverpool by a distance. Every meal I've had here has been excellent but I can particularly recommend the cannelloni and the Calzone Vesuvio. Staff are all friendly and accommodating with kids and the restaurant itself is very welcoming, you feel like you're in Italy. I can't recommend this place highly enough, you'll regularly see a queue out of the door and onto the street but it's well worth it.
P. C.
Love this restaurant, good basic italian food, very rustic setting, always busy, not unusual to be standing in a long queue, but worth it once inside.
Staff friendly. Nice atmosphere.
T. F.
Very nice food was lovely x lasagne was amazing couldn't finish it so I brought it home
J. B.
Went there to celebrate a special birthday. Service was very good. Disappointing menu - I've been to many Italian restaurants with far superior choices. My main course was bland and the "large" portion was certainly not worth the extra.
Wouldn't go again.
L. P.
My Mum is not good at technology so she has asked me to post this review. She has had food tonight she said it was perfect in every way. The delivery man was so lovely and kind. Looking forward to her fudge cake & tiramisou. Thanks to all the staff for a delightful meal. Will be ringing again soon.
M. P.
Authentic Italian, both food and decor. The garlic bread was delicious and the meal between 6 people was fairly priced.
P. S.
Casa Italia has been open on Stanley Street longer than I have been alive, and it's popularity seems undiminished. The food, decor and service is informal and unfussy in the best possible way. You get simple but very good Italian dishes cooked in a home made style, served mostly by Italians, and it's excellent. Pizzas and pasta alike are delicious. Expect to wait for a table just about any evening.
I. N.
Nice Italian restaurant within a well preserved building with fantastic food.
D. H.
Used the delivery to home service. Easy to order online and used the vegan menu. Lovely, friendly service, great communication up until food delivered. Food was beautiful, absolutely delicious. Will happily use delivery service again, but hope to actually visit soon.
J. O.
Haven't been for ages but will definitely go again food was fantastic
R. K.
Awesome restaurant, understanding why it always has a queue food is amazing!
S. P.
Love this place. Food and service excellent. Staff really helpful and friendly.
S. K.
Great food as always, relaxed service and good prices. Baked pastas are my absolute favourite. Family friendly.
C. W.
Very tasty Italian food been here since the 70s
L. D.
It's just great food! One of the best Italians I've ever had I loved it. The service was good too I can't fault this place at all. Excellent!
A. G.
Been coming here for years. First time now since lockdown. Great food and friendly service. The music from the venue next door was far too loud . We have always left a tip whatever, but on this occasion the added service charge was unnecessary and kind of spoilt it. We still paid it and may come back again but in no great hurry.
L. M.
Been coming here for years. Great food, decent prices, just love the atmosphere.
M. S.
My favourite Italian place, very busy on weekends but still worth it!
B. G.
Excellent food & service at a good price.
T. K.
My sister and I had been wandering past a number of restaurants in the proximity, looking for an Italian restaurant. We spotted Casa Italia and noted that unlike any of the other restaurants that we had passed, it had a small queue outside. We thought 'that's probably a good sign!' It certainly was, it turned out to be the best italian meal I've ever had in a restaurant, and some of my family are of italian descent! We had a creamy tagliatelle for me and a gluten free meat pasta dish for my sister, we also had the fantastically rustic bruschetta (to share thank goodness, as the portions are very generous) and decided to risk the house red. The house red was fab, I was so glad we had arrived by train not car! The atmosphere is very rustic and homely, you feel like you are in a little place in Italy, I almost expected Nonna to appear saying 'mangia, mangia!!'
A. D.
Very quick service, tasty food.
S.
Knew there would be a que, so a 20 minute wait to get in wasn't a problem, the atmosphere was great and decor very Italian.. was disappointed with the food, both of us had vegetarian lasagna...and we both failed to find any pasta in our dishes..the food was nice but had a tomato puree taste.veg seemed to be peas, sweetcorn, carrots and broccoli/or beans... maybe it's a different way of making lasagna...£58 for 3 drinks ,starter, main and coffee...
M. Y.
Fantastic food. Great service.
B. M.
Great little restaurant, food was delicious.
C. P.
Still a very popular place would definitely recommend .
K. A.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service 😍
K. T.
Gorgeous food here. Would 💯% recommend this place.
J. W.
Stumbled across this when looking for somewhere to eat so glad we did.the service was quick and the staff friendly and attentive.the food was amazing the best lasagna I have ever tasted .when we visit Liverpool again will definitely be going back
L. G.
This has always been a favourite restaurant of ours, the food and service is amazing, theres always a queue to get in but its worth the wait. once you are seated the friendly staff attend to you well, the food comes quickly and is always delicious. Since reopening the COVID precautions they have put into place made us feel really safe. tables are distanced well with screens between each of them. hand sanitiser is provided and everything is getting thoroughly sanitised between customers. Well done guys, keep up the great work
S. M.
Had to wait in a 20 minute queue to get a table but was definitely worth the wait and can understand why people were waiting as the food was excellent, good sized portions and the calzone was amazing, would definitely recommend
D. M.
The best authentic Italian restaurant you can find in Liverpool
B. M.
Absolutely perfect food, perfect service and a great family place to eat for kids and adults alike.
We had olives and focaccia to start; a great appetiser before our mains arrived, which they did very swiftly.
For main, I opted for the Salmon and Prawn tagliatelle - highly recommend as it was cooked to perfection and the dill sauce was delicious. The rest of their table enjoyed their pizzas, tortellini and lasagna (which is their most popular dish).
The food is extremely filling, so be sure to arrive with an empty stomach to refill!
S. A.
Love this place! Haven’t been for a while but decided to have our tea there after picking out little one up from school. Such an amazing family feel to the place, the atmosphere is always great and the staff and food make the place what it is, amazing!
Food is warm hearty comfort food and never disappoints and the staff are so pleasant, kind and really good with children.
Not a bad point to make about the place, I would say it’s dated in appearance but I only say this to say don’t let this pit you off, it adds character and only adds to that warm atmosphere.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Whenever I visit Liverpool, at least once a year I always make sure I eat here. Its my favourite Italian restaurant, noisy and busy and the food is superb. It looks and feels like it's in Tuscany.
P. D.
Had a family birthday party at the restaurant on Sun 1st Aug,we are glad we booked, so busy, the service and the food were amazing, 1st time we have visited Casa Italia, wonderful the last ,I had the garlic bread to start, lovely, and the Lasagne for main, there was10 in the party, all the starters arrived at the same time as did the mains, excellent service, well done to all the staff at Casa Italia,
L. B.
amazing food can't wait to go again
B. S.
Been looking for a decent Italian restaurant for ages, and found this one. It is excellent, the food and service is really good, and not too badly priced.
K. A.
Worth waiting for a table, very good Italien food
C. H.
My first experience of Casa Italia was in 1996 when my mum and dad took me and my brother for lunch and I absolutely loved it. I have since been back many times with my wife and my own children I can honestly say it hasn't changed and that's a good thing. The food is amazing and the staff are brilliant and very attentive. You have to visit this place
A. D.
Ordered from here several times during lockdown because it's so delicious, but their customer service is just as great. Tonight we had a mix up with our order when using an app, and within minutes Casa Italia were on the phone to apologise and make things right - before we'd even realised! Our food was made again and delivered completely free and we're so grateful.
M. M.
Pre booked table for 12 great food great service great price thanks guys 👏
S. T.
Love ❤️ this place best Italian x
F. Y.
DELLICIOUS the calzone i had was lovely it was quite quick service and very friendly staff! Key times to come are about 5 pm for tea!
G. I.
Fab food as usual, great service.
V. H.
Visited here as a group of 3 and waiting around 30 mins for our table. 100% worth the wait. The service we reciecved from staff was great from start to finish. You can see how busy they all are but they are well organised and know how to deal with how busy it gets. The food is delicious and very well priced. Drinks were also well priced. We were served our food in good time and the portions are perfect. There may be a queue when you arrive but its because the food is worth the wait. Will be back again.
J. K.
Time: 5:30pm, Day: Sunday
When we arrived, the place was absolutely crammed full, with a wait at the door of about 10 minutes until a table for two became free. They don't offer bookings for less than six, so there will be a slight wait for any smaller table. The couple ahead assured us it was worth the wait, and they were absolutely right.
The food was amazing. We shared a garlic bread and both had pasta dishes with no fault to be found between us. The truly amazing thing though was the speed we were served. It's as if they knew what we wanted 20 minutes before we walked in, getting starters 5 minutes after ordering and mains 10 minutes after that. We could see all of the food being prepared and it was clear there is decades of experience in the kitchen. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the price is very reasonable for the quality offered.
A fantastic experience and a brilliant choice for Italian food. It made me wish I lived nearby so I could visit again.
L. W.
Great homely place,good food,very popular
Y. B.
I've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it still remains one if my favourite places. Its consistently good value and has delicious food.
P. S.
When in Liverpool and fancy an Italian you carnt beat casa been here lots of times over the year 10/10
P. A.
Delicious Italian food, served by Italians, fast and delicious.
W. O.
Went with the missus for a bite to eat my meal was very enjoyable. I decided to try a Penne al Forno with peas and lots of parmesan (cause why not), and it was delicious. Unfortunately my partner was disappointed as she chose this restaurant and her pizza wasn't the best size and didn't really taste good. It was just a plain margarita the simplest of pizza's.
C. T.
Best Italian I've ever had the pleasure of eating at!
A. H.
Very nice food, atmosphere is great, staff all welcoming.
Will go again.
M. H.
Excellent meals and service for my party of 8.
Highly recommend this family and very professionally run restaurant.
I. P.
Been going here since 1976. I absolutely love it, superb wholesome food, bubbly lively buzz. So many happy memories, my absolute favourite place. Reasonably priced too. Macca and Kylie have been here and no wonder. Just go you'll have a ball. I'd like to give 10 stars.
Went recently with my family and closest friends. Fantastic food, service atmosphere. Magical
L. P.
Lovely meal with the family. Great value for money. Great service and lovely staff. Highly recommended. I would advise to book or you will have a bit of a wait
P. R.
Despite it being a Wednesday night, the place was rammed. We'd walked past a load of restaurants on the same night and they were empty, which gives you an indication of the popularity of this place. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is excellent, the staff are excellent, the prices are reasonable. It's been a staple of Liverpool's food scene for nearly 40 years. Go and enjoy!
E.
It's not bad. Wouldn't queue outside to get in like 50 odd people were. Snarling you when you're trying to squeeze past cos you've actually got a reservation.
The pasta was like something I could have made at home but other people in our party said their food was quite nice.
D. W.
Always have a fantastic meal lovely staff always make you feel welcome and food is delicious our favourite restaurant.
L. G.
Very nice food and good prices
Can get very busy
R. E.
Totally meant to post this a few months ago!
Sorry for the delay!
We had the most wonderful Anniversary meal we were so lucky to have our favourite restaurant (The casa Italia) deliver to us our favourite meals. I had explained that due to sheilding/isolation my husband Being very vulnerable we could not attend as normal on our anniversary, and they went out of their way to make this happen for us even though we are not
Located in the allocated delivery distance. This just shows what an incredible kind restaurant & team Casa Italia is, it’s no wonder I’ve been coming since I was 7! Thankyou we appreciated this so much and you made his evening! 🧡🧡
G. C.
Love this place it's very reasonably priced always warm an welcoming only 1 thing u can't reserve a table so my advice be early as it gets so busy 👍👍
R. S.
Authentic italian restaurant with great service and fresh food. It really adds to the experience the fact that you can see the chefs preparing and cooking your orders. It is usually busy particularly on weekends so might have to queue outside for a few minutes but it is worth the wait.
D. B.
We had a delicious, authentic Italian dinner with a cabrese salad and some of the best lasagna ever. The tiramisu was also excellent. The servers could not have been nicer or more attentive to us. They even called a taxi for us to get us back to our hotel. Our local guide recommended this restaurant as one of her favorites. She was not wrong!
L. c.
Love food. Very popular. Only downside if waiting in queue very small area and we had a table out friend had arrived earlier and we were not best received by the queue to ask to go past. With walking difficulties sadly it is not somewhere I could always go. As no seating area to wait for table and steps to get in. Although there will be disabled access I'm sure but I don't know to comment. Lovely atmosphere and nice staff. It was a Fri tea time though
M. W.
Lovely authentic food. I have never had a poor meal yet. The wide range of food is very good. Staff are efficient warm and welcoming. This is a perfect venue for a romantic date for two or a celebrated family occasion. Highly recommended.
J. C.
Heard lots of good things about this place so finally made the effort to visit. Arrived around 4.45 p.m on a Wednesday evening. Very small queue and didn’t wait long. Ordered starter & main & couldn’t finish as we were so full (that usually doesn’t happen, ha ha). The food was delicious & piping hot...just how I like it. Staff were friendly & attentative. Great atmosphere, people just getting together, sharing how their day’s gone, making memories. No pomp or Louboutins required. Very reasonably priced. Will be returning very soon & recommend. Nearly forgot to mention, long queue as we left...a true sign of its popularity! Thanks Casa Italia 👏🏼
J. E.
Being going there since 1976.Great Italian food with excellent service. Also great value.
P. S.
Best Italian in Liverpool! Food was amazing..
S. C.
The food was absolutely delicious so authentic and really great flavours. Service was a bit lacking and could do with improvement. Be prepared to wait for a table as there are often queues if in a rush better to ring ahead and book.
A. V.
Really a perfect place to enjoy real good Italian food with friends and family
a. z.
The food was decent, nothing to shout about tbh but the service was pretty good. Had to queue to get in and took us 40 mins to get a table. If the waiting time is reduced in the future then maybe they will get 5 stars
J. J.
Always a queue when I walk past here. Was not disappointed when we were seated. Full and lively place with a great atmosphere. Waiting staff were brilliant and nothing too much trouble, food was plentiful and delicious, and the bill wasn't astronomical. Will definitely be going again.
M. R.
The Casa Italian is an iconic restaurant in Liverpool which is a great place to go for Italian food at a reasonable price. Always busy so be prepared to queue. Very friendly staff with a good sense of humour. It's not fine dining but it is great food at a reasonable price.
K. C.
Very friendly restaurant service fast, the food is delicious.I recommend it.I greet the waitress Megan and all the staff.Krystyna i Colin
B. S.
Forgot how busy the Casa Italia is and how well loved it is. Very busy the day we visited full to capacity, queue outside main entrance with people patiently waiting. Many people go to this restaurant before going to the theatres in Liverpool., so it is wise to book. Food very good noisy from people chatting but normally friendly banter. Staff always pleasant.
Will visit again soon but will book in advance next time.
V. E.
Had a meal here today. The food was amazing as always. But the staff was absolutely amazing. They kept everywhere disinfectant. There was even a lady outside the toilet cleaning it every time someone went to the toilet. Was brilliant.
J. H.
Wonderful, authentic Italian restaurant. I have been visiting for +25 years- and couldn’t have been happier to find out yesterday there is now a VEGAN menu!!!! Small but perfect! (I have been adapting off the ordinary menu for the last few years)
Always a great atmosphere, and the usual steady queue outside speaks volumes! 👍💚❤️
S. P.
When you see people queueing outside a restaurant, you can guess it's going to be pretty good. This one certainly is.
The menu is pasta and pizza-dominated, with a risotto or two thrown in for good measure. Portions are big, prices are small and the food is fresh and hot. Service is efficient and friendly.
The wine list is very reasonably priced too.
Nice lively buzz about the place, which is hardly surprising as it's always full. Not really suitable for those of impaired mobility ... several steps up from the street, tightly packed tables, toilets upstairs.
You can't book, so be prepared to join the queue outside if you want to eat at peak times.

Absolutely magnificent, authentic and delicious italian food!

Stumbled across this lovely Italian restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat
We noticed a few others waiting at the door to be seated so we thought we would give it a go.
Waited about 10-15 mins to be seated
The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and most welcoming. We were greeted with menus and asked what we would like to drink.
Placed our food order and waited about 20 mins for our food to arrive.
The food was amazing all freshly cooked the garlic bread was delicious the best I’ve ever tasted it was fresh dough light and extremely garlicky. The rest of our food was not to disappoint it was all delicious.
Would we return ...... to dam right we would return .....I’d queue down the street.
Well worth the wait.

As always food was good
However the service wasn't quite up to normal standards. Our food was given to another couple. So we had to wait for the dishes to be cooked again. No apology given and had to ask for water 3 times. However we asked for dessert and coffee this was provided free of charge due to the mix up with the main course. Thanks Casa Italia much appreciated.

Visiting Liverpool I asked my cousin to suggest a family-run Italian and she recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed, very traditional decor, and so busy. But the service is quick and so the wait time isn't long. The food was good, too many items to choose. We would definitely recommend and will go back.

Visited Liverpool with my mum on Sunday and found this little gem! Great food and generous with the portions. The wine was lovely and great value. Couldn't believe how busy it was for 2pm on a sunday! Good service and would definitely visit again! Highly recommended.
P. K.
Great food and atmosphere staff very friendly and big shout out to Greg the chef would defo recommend

Great service highly recommend the cannelloni
D. S.
Food is stunning, authentic and tasty
Vegan menu now available
City centre restaurant that has been a favourite for years, simply outlives the opposition
Great priced menu, varies with a daily specials board
Virtually always a queue waiting for a table, so ask yourself why, before walking past. All those queuing must all agree that this place is simply worth waiting for
Traditional interior that has changed little over the years, nor have many of the staff
If you want a stunning reasonably priced Italian meal or pizza, then the choice is easy

Food I ordered was tasty! The place was comfortable.
D. S.
Fabulous Italian restaurant, been going here for over 20 years and its always really good food. Only problem is choosing from the extensive menu as there are that many lovely choices. The baked Tortellini alla Panna is my favourite and highly recommended 👍
J. S.
I've been going to this restaurant for 35+ years and it's still doing what it does very well. One of the 2 best Italian restaurants in Liverpool. I've noticed a bit of penny pinching here & there with certain dishes in recent years but maybe I'm nitpicking. Always busy but a recent expansion keeps the queue moving 👍
F. S.
The aroma when entering the restaurant says it all.....Great service and the food is to die for, full of flavour and filling. Size of portions is what you would have at home, so gives a feeling of family prepared and cooked food. Service quick even when very busy. A definate must eat here destination.

Went back to Casa Italia for the first time in over a decade (I've lived away for a while!) And nothing has changed except the length of the queues outside. This place is rightly popular, the food is fab!
K. P.
Have always loved this place..staff are so efficient: friendly and the place had a calmness about it too
Foood is excellent so credit to your chefs..
B. T.
Great food brilliant atmosphere lovely staff. Had a fantastic time here for my friends 50th birthday celebration. Good value for money but make sure to book to avoid disappointment. Our waiter Rudy was fab
S. M.
Lovely food friendly staff and great service.
l. m.
The food is reasonably priced but if your in a party of 6 or more look out for the 10% service charge it can add up to quite an amount after all the starters mains puddings and drinks have added up. Was looking for a Hawaiian pizza but not on menu so ordered ham and mushroom and asked if they had pineapple which they did. Was surprised as no other dish on the menu called for pineapple so was impressed they had it for me. Saying that my pizza was soggy as hell in the middle but still tasty.
Wasnt impressed when we arrived and waiter told a single older woman to shut the door while she was queuing to get in. He expected her to stand in the porch in the cold on her own
A. L.
I love this place! Such amazing value and gorgeous food. Best garlic bread! I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.
E. T.
Never a bad meal and the atmosphere is brilliant
Had a takeaway delivered last night for Father's Day, the food was exceptional as always, we were only missing the resturant itself. Casa Italia part of the family since 1976
T. B.
The garlic bread and cheese was beautiful and the dough was light. The tortellini a la carne was meaty, creamy and so so cheesy. This place is a cheese lovers delight and I would definitely come back.
C. M.
Just had a delivery from Casa Italia for my belated mother's day gift. Food arrived within an hour, hot and very tasty.
Price excellent with NHS discount too. Thank you.
E. C.
Been coming since 1978.... the best Italian in the city 5* staff are great. I've had the same meal so many times. My favourite is Tagettelli with sponge ricotta cheese is my favourite.
P. R.
Lovely warm place..active and buzzing. Nice House Red. Never had veggie lasagne with peas??? If replaced with peppers..would be lovely. Tuna starter is tinned...not the best. Doing something right. Great turnover...so busy..
B.
Really nice and affordable. Quick service and nice staff. Taking Covid-19 measures very seriously which is nice. The pasta is delicious and portions are generous!
M. M.
Oh my goodness, we were just strolling around looking for somewhere for dinner and spotted this restaurant down a side street. What a find, had to q for a table but well worth the wait. Food great and so very reasonably priced, obvious why it was so popular with the locals. Great atmosphere and staff.
J. M.

Always love Casa Italia! Our favourite family place. Never let us down. Food excellent and service is excellent!
m. k.
Visited the premises a few weks ago the waiter was with chatting to the lady I was accompanying. The food was good with good sized portions but was it worth the wait in the queue? I wiil let you decide. My answer - Yes
Good back up customer services.
F.
Very impressed with the gluten free pizza - the best I've tasted so far. Had a lovely rocket salad with fresh parmesan to start which was delicious too. My husband loved his lasagna followed by home made tiramisu. The gluten free pecan pie was lovely but very sweet. Ok if you have a "sweet tooth" but not really to my liking.. All in all lovely restaurant will return.
C. M.
Cheap and cheerful. Great place to get some authentic Italian at very reasonable prices. The food isn't super fancy, but it's rustic and very tasty. The desserts are also amazing (would recommend the Tiramassu / Gelato). Be warned though that it gets very busy during the evening and there is normally a wait of around twenty minutes to get a table.
J.
Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in the Liverpool. Always full of clients!
Prices are very good in this location- this is heart of city center.
You've got my recommendation and for sure I'll be back when I will visit the city next time. Thanks!
R. W.
Friendly eating house with lively atmosphere and good fresh food. Good pizza options for kids and options for wine for adults with a choice of glass, carafe or bottle. Reasonably priced and convenient for going on to visit town centre. They had a problem with card machines but cash machines are just round the corner so not a big issue.
J. T.
Spot on, practically perfect as always. I would love a proper pint but appreciate its not a drinking venue. Food as always was sublime. Cost moderate to cheap, quality good, staff good and atmosphere good. Give it a try.
B. T.
A warm and friendly place. Excellent serve. Excellent value. Tasty. Authentic. Everything the packaged chains lack and are not, Casa Italia is. We enjoyed it so much we went 2 days running. You'd be foolish not to eat here
E. R.
Great family run business went there ,2 years ago
missed our trip to Liverpool last year due to pandemic but rememberd to visit his year and hopefully will return next year on our annual visit!!
R. W.
If you want a personal family run feel with great Italian food then there is no substitute. We booked this recently for a 16th birthday. Words can't describe my gratitude for your amazing hospitality. Perfect... Thank you for creating a memory for my daughter that will last forever!
S. E.
I have been going to this place for over 25 years - same menu, waiters and setting. Staff are awesome and food is delicious, plus very reasonable. Brilliant place for dinner before a night a out
l. l.
Love the food and staff. Had to queue but was worth it. Air conditioning needs sorting. Particles dropping on the table from vent could have affected our food.
D. W.
I have been coming here since 1978! The food is exactly the same, which is fine by me. The house red was surprisingly delightful. My Tortellini al Italia was really tasty and is the same as it always has been, my friend had Lasagne which was equally enjoyed. After a little break we were tempted by Tiramisu and warm Chocolate Fudge cake with cream. Absolutely delish. We didn't feel hurried to vacate our table, despite there being a long queue outside and really enjoyed the vibe of the place.
S. P.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant I love its authentic itallian style. I have been coming here for years and I have never been disappointed. Food is excellent always piping hot as it is made fresh on the premises. The staff are friendly.
K. E.
Staff Christmas meal here was beautiful. Staff really friendly and helpful and the food was exquisite. Little outdated in terms of decoration but it is in fitting with a classic Italian restaurant.
R. A.
The pizza is the best in Liverpool! The staff are super nice too. I ordered a penne pasta, not knowing it contained pork, I’m a muslim and we don’t eat pork, the waiter warned me that it contained pork and I told him that I didn’t know that and he offered to get me a pork free one ♥️
M. M.
Staff are great and very attentive. Have been going here for years and this time the food just wasn't as tasty as in the past. Might have been just an off day.
A. T.
The original and best Italian food, staff, prices,, atmosphere in the northwest . Have been coming for 37th year now and always look forward to it knowing the food is top quality and a great relaxing but vibrant place. Chicken Tortellini Ala Pana is my favourite main and the garlic mushrooms and ballotti salad is amazing too. Love it.
L. C.
The best Italian food I've ever had, If you want to eat here I advise getting there as soon as the doors open at 12pm, the restaurant fills up fast and there's usually a line right out the door.
This place has never dissapointed me I remember going as a 6 year old and I still go today, as you're always guaranteed to full by the time you leave.
The prices are more than reasonable and the over all experience is worth queueing for.
If you crave Italian food don't go to a chain restaurant and be dissapointed, visit this place and you'll be left with a full belly and loads of cash free to spend in the shops.
A. A.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Liverpool if not the best would definitely recommend the Pollo El Forno
g. g.
Absolutely brilliant, great value, great food, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place. Second time visiting Liverpool, and second time coming here. A definate must for delicious food.
D.
Really friendly staff, very well priced food and drink and it tastes amazing!
There is sometimes a queue to get in but it's worth it for the homely atmosphere and good food at good prices.
S. J.
I love this place. Lovely food and very hard working staff. I actually quite like that everyone is crammed in which is odd but it's got a good atmosphere
J. M.
Back when I used to eat meat, this was my favourite restaurant. So if you're still eating meat, then I would definitely recommend dining here.
Unfortunately, there's not as perfect a menu for meat-free dishes as there is for the meat-filled.
L. 2. 2. 1. B.
Went here with a group of around 18 and the food was amaxing; I had spaghetti carbonara which was so creamy and had such lovely bacon in it that I wished it wouldn't end! I would definitely go here again, no wonder it is such a popular place! The music they play in the restaurant is a bit weird but the atmosphere is nice enough.
G. S.
My favourite restaurant in Liverpool. Excellent reasonably priced food, good service. It is always buisy which is always a good sign. Be prepared to wait for a seat at peak times. The wait will be worth it.
f. f.
It was just excellent. Everything was delicious. Amazing gluten free pizza.
K. W.
I love everything about Casa Italia, it's a must everytime I go to the city centre, tonight was extra special it was my daughter's 18th birthday, big thank you to David for making her evening very special. I have been coming here since I was a very young age. Excellent service, excellent food & drink. Katherine.
P. W.
Great food, lovely staff, real Italian food and doing everything they can to make customers feel safe with the current situation .
G. U.
I cannot fault the food at Casa Italia as it was perfectly cooked and tasted very fresh. I was dissapointed that you cannot book and spend about 20 minutes waiting for a table, and when I was seated, it was next a family of 4 with loud children, now obviously kids are going to be excited and noisy, I understand that, but why the seating is so close I dont know. The staff were rather hit and miss aswell, one elderly member of staff was excellent however.
S. L.
Make sure you book, then, be on time! Queues down the road waiting for a table, any latecomers loose their table. Great food, amiable, friendly service and never were we rushed.
E. H.
Came with my mother. We were seated quickly and the restaurant had a great vibe to it. We got a starter of garlic bread which was huge pretty Much a ten inch pizza but was also very good quality and very fresh . The squid starter was also delicious. We then got the lasagne and chicken ,pancetta and mixed peppers pizza both of which were amazing and portion size was generous. Desert of banoffe pie was delicious served with gelato. Staff were friendly and you could tell had a passion for working there.
A. T.
Casa Italia was my favourite pizza place in the UK and I had left a five star review.
However, the pizza I collected today was a disaster. Ordered a Margherita with Parma ham and rocket. It had next to no cheese on it, no sauce and far too much Parma. I was essentially given a salty round ham sandwich.
C. B.
Tasty stodgy Italian food, nice white wine and very busy. Good atmosphere, served too quick thou with starter and main! Olives were yum!
A. L.
Amazing authentic Italian. Yes we queued but it's definitely worth it. The pizza is fabulous, a great bustling gem in Liverpool.
S. C.
Casa Italia was excellent, busy, noisy and good-spirited as only an Italian restaurant can be, with great, great home-cooked food.
All ages were there from babies to grandparents and everyone in between. Our food was delicious, the house red quaffable and the prices good value, especially if you went to Pizza Express on your first night in Liverpool, last night!!
We live near Bedford with its strong Italian community and are used to eating at good family-friendly restaurants. We have loved similar restaurants in Vancouver and Toronto, London and elsewhere. Believe me, Casa Italia is good. Simple, unpretentious and good!!
Try it. Go early or book to get a seat. It's busy! Enjoy!! We did........
S. T.
Bit of a wait outside but well worth it. The food was fantastic and the service was spot on. Spoke to one waiter who told us he had been working there since the 70's. Will be going back
D. H.
Been going for years! Such a lovely restaurant. Only thing is that it was so busy, we waited for about half an hour for a table and when we ordered our food came 10 minutes later.
V. B.
Busy and very loud, had to wait a short while but managed a table of 6 with no bookings early e English midweek. The food was to die for and it every expensive I actually think it's better than he other Italians I have een tonin the city centre which I thiugh was hard to beat.
P. S.
Glad to see this long standing family run restaurant still producing superb food even in these difficult times. Excellent
S. B.
Bang average food but for the price you can't really complain. Tables very close together and not enough space. Not a bad place for a quick place to eat after work but that's about it really.
Y. P.
Excellent atmosphere, service and food - true Italian dining!
I visited with my two adult children on 2nd June this year. The ambience is true Italian style - if you aren’t looking at the Eleanor Rigby statue outside, you’d think that you’re in Tuscany or Umbria!!! The food was amazing and the service was very good. The place is not 100% disability friendly, as there are three-four steep steps to get into the restaurant (and no ramp or lift to get you in). Also, the only toilets are up some steep stairs (there is a hand rail you can hold onto) and there is no disability adapted toilet downstairs or a lift. So, if you have difficulties walking, you either climb the 12-15 or so steps or you don't visit the loo and don't’ wash your hands. Nonetheless, the staff are very accommodating (moved us when we asked to be moved due to a slight draft every time the door opened) and attentive (despite there being a big party of 10-15 people in the restaurant our orders were taken promptly and arrived within a very reasonable time). The portions are average size and appropriate for the asking price. As one of our party of three is vegan (and there were no vegan options on the menu) the chef made some spaghetti to order (with grilled vegetables in tomato sauce). It was yummy. One of us is a big fan of calzone pizzas and was super happy that there was a vegetarian option on the menu. The last person in our party loved the large sized tiramisu they ordered - it was with lots of cinnamon (more than usual), however it was described as “near perfection”. The prices are very reasonable and I felt that the only “off thing” is that the restaurant shuts at 10.00pm. Granted, it was a Thursday evening, but they are based in such a busy part of town, I think they could keep it open until later, which would have allowed us to finish our meals without rushing. Even more bizarrely, our waiter left at 9.50pm. - just put his coat on and walked off, leaving someone else to finish our custom... Having said that, overall, we are very happy with our dinner at D’Casa Italia and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in the vicinity - we definitely cannot wait to get back to Liverpool so we can eat there again!
B. N.
The food was so so good, at a good price to. A must to go when visiting Liverpool
D. N.
Lovely as always. Staff great. Only down side is they have hiked up the prices since they have had the extension done. I suppose they have got to pay for it some way,but at the expense of the customers. Not good Casa 🤨🤨🤨.
P. M.
Excellent food at reasonable prices, fantastic staff, you feel like you've an authentic Italian experience x
S. H.
What can I say other than; sensational. Amazing food incredibly reasonable in price and plentiful in portion. If you want a hearty, homemade Italian then this is the place!
W. L.
Excellent meal, friendly service, reasonable prices. Be prepared to queue as they don't take bookings unless there are more than 6 of you but it's worth the short wait
L. W.
Had dinner here after Liverpool pride, after previously eating here many months ago we decided to visit again. The staff were all very friendly but the food i found was a little disappointing for an authentic Italian restaurant. My main meal was very salty and I found what seemed to be (NOT HOME MADE) Pre-packaged store bought ravioli and Knor stock cubes in it undissolved. I asked if the pasta is home-made and to my surprise i was told it is not. The prices are decent but for a £10 meal I would expect the ravioli to be home made and the seasoning by hand and not by stock cube! My friend also had the spaghetti bolognese which we found to be very dry, not much tomato sauce in it. However, the pizza was found to be nice. Furthermore, there was a lot of noise coming from a club adjacent to the restaurant, I had to talk very loudly and had a bad headache coming out, although in all fairness this is not the fault of Casa Italia and more of the council for their licencing hours.
s. c.
Fantastic place for food, atmosphere and hospitality. Always busy for a reason but you wont wait for attention. People queue out the door. No wonder. Highly recommended.
R. N.
Good food and not expensive either. Great location too as not far from the city centre. Can get very busy too so be prepared to wait just to get in.
L. R.
Quick service. And vale for money
K. I.
Had a few meals delivered now and it is always lovely food. Delivery service is spot on. Definitely recommend!
F. M.
Fantastic little place , staff very attentive and friendly . Really authentic place
S. W.
Really nice food and service. This is old school Italian dining. Can't recommend this place enough
R. D.
Brilliant food and service, everything is very well priced! Be prepared to wait outside though, always worth it!
J. A.
Excellent food and friendly staff. Good, pleasant experience
C. B.
We visited this restaurant for a special birthday early in February and they catered for 11 of us with no issues or delays when the food was ordered, we are going back in March for another special birthday for 16 of us as the people are lovely and the food is fabulous
D. B.
Nice restaurant & food is lovely but staff not so nice a bit rude & miserable.... if your working with the public should always at least say hello not just throw menus on table then walk away same when you take order.....
R. C.
Perfect place to have a real Italian food. My favourite in terms of this type of cuisine in Liverpool. Spot on, great atmosphere and amazing staff. Grazie!
C. G.
Great vegan menu, lovely staff, great portions...really lush vegan options. A vegan dessert option would have scored you 5 stars.
Thank you for a lovely meal.
A. F.
An altogether riveting experience, littered with Italian authenticity and pandamonium. The maître d's, at least when I visited, were full of zest and carried themselves in a voluptuous, zany manner. The food was incredible and easy of the palette. May I suggest getting any of the breads from Casa Italia. For sure, for me, this was the standout feature of the restuarant.
M. M.
Absolutely amazing, wholehearted staff accompanied by the best food I've had. I would highly recommend this place expecially the pizza and pasta along with a large carafe of wine!!
Amazing atmosphere in the heart of Liverpool ❤
B. K.
I mean... 10 stars out 5! EVERY time! Absolutely beautiful Italian food, wine & atmosphere all at incredible value. Love it here!
C. N.
Gorgeous food great service and hospitality,,
M. H.
Good value food, but not great food.
The place is so busy, its hard for the staff to keep up and , as a customer, it is easy to be overlooked.
Nice place but sadly doesn't live up to the hype.
N. S.
Wonderful family run place serving high quality Italian food at reasonable prices. Always popular so make sure you get there early.
Cannelloni cannot be beaten!
C. P.
No reservations, lineup only but good sized portion s for a reasonable price. If weather is cool request a ya le away from front door if busy, it opens and closes a lot.
K. W.
Amazing food. Very popular so advise turning up before 5PM otherwise you will have to wait a long time outside for a table.
J. C. S.
Authentic, mouth watering, stomach filling, mood boosting, girlfriend/boyfriend pleasing restaurant with a cosy feel and atmosphere that allows you personal space. The meals are always top notch and leaving me both stuffed and wanting more and happy with the price. Take a friend and get a lasagna and pizza to share between you. You won't regret it.
L. S.
Excellent food, best Lasagna I've ever tasted. Service was great, nothing was too much trouble, very attentive staff. Authentic homely atmosphere, great value for money. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
A. B.
Food was ok, been here many times but seems to be losing out to other restaurants in Southport, prices are fair but this may be the last time I’ll go here. Wish them well in the future.
A. P.
Now living miles away...but the good news is that coming to the 'pool for the gluten-free show this week-end and we will be making a bee-line here. Been coming since it was opened...some 40 years ago from memory, love it!
L. M.

The best Italian in Liverpool for food, wine, atmosphere, oh and don't forget about the staff who are always pleased to be of service
P. S. Now have gf meals available
If 6 or more why not book your table in advance to save waiting in a sometimes queue at peak times.......... Its still worth the wait, after trying the rest over 35yrs in Liverpool.
H. l.
Very nice food. Been there multiple times and i highly recommend it.
Staff seem to be quite polite as well
B. G.
Never disappoints. The price is reasonable, the staff are pleasant, the food is delightful (particularly their oven baked pasta dishes), and the atmosphere is great. What more could you ask?

Lovely food, kind staff. One of the finest in the city.

Despite the high price of the food and the not so bad service, I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going

My favourite go-to Italian restaurant. Amazing authentic Italian food, (the dough balls with garlic butter are to die for!) great drinks selection & a lovely atmosphere.

Great tasting food, the lasagne is definitely worth a try.
Can be a very loud place at times and you might have to wait outside to be seated for a while at busier times but it's worth it.

I've been here a couple of times on trips to Liverpool and it's always great. It always seems to have several tables busy no matter what time of day.

Great place to eat real Italian food. Food always delicious and very friendly waiters. Sometimes you my have to wait for a table but well worth it

Casa Italia was excellent, busy, noisy and good-spirited as only an Italian restaurant can be, with great, great home-cooked food. …

Best Italian in liverpool in my opinion, it big plates of comfort food served by friendly staff, the place is always busy, one few places I know where people will queue in the rain to get in. It's not flashy just good, one of the oldest independent restaurants in the city. It also very reasonably priced
s. s.
Food very nice staff very pleasant and and the restaurant was very clean
D. S.
Went one lunch time. Excellent service. Food was fresh and beautifully cooked. Would highly recommend
N. C.
Booked a table for Silver Wedding Anniversary for 8 people. Superb food, and very reasonably priced.

Service could be better. We were a table of two and seated before 3 tables who all had their order taken before us. Food was mediocre considering all the hype.
J. C.
Great place. Been my favourite restaurant since I was 6 so 22 years. Best pizza I have ever had.

Usually this is one of my favourite restaurants however the last time i visited the staff were very rude and not interested. My fork was near enough taken out of my mouth during my starter an my plate swiped off the table. I am not planning on going here again in the future atleast not without my own cutlery.

Everything is amazing here . Thank you for a perfect night .😀😀😀
c. o.
Great food , good prices and friendly staff . Worth the 10minute wait for table as they only take bookings for partys of six upwards
m. a.
Lovely restaurant quality service
S. W.
After eating here for quite a few years I can honestly say the food has been pretty much perfect every single time, the staff are as helpful as they can be as well
D. Y.
There are great staff members they’re very kind usually a small wait to get inside and to get your food but it’s so nice that I would wait an hour and a half for it if you’re looking for a meal recommendation I would recommend the garlic bread for starters and a small tortilini itallina or the mansize WARNING:mansize is quite big
J. P.
Great service. Good atmosphere and food. Value for money. Gluten free and vegetarian friendly 😁
L. B.
The best Italian in Liverpool. The prices are good, food is good and service is good. Every meal I've had has been great apart from the vegetable lasagne, it was more cheese than vegetables.
D. B.
Best pizza and pasta I've ever had. I've not had a pizza like it since. No other Italian in the area compares. Authentic and delicious.
T. C. S.
Just had the worst italian meal ever, i myself am more italian than the staff i visited venice once ! The staff had no interest whatsoever in us not enjoying our meals . Five if us went for a birthday celebration only two ate the meal , we could have seriously bought better at iceland !! They gingerly appologised but the night was ruined . We ordered macaroni and got penne also the carbonara came with penne , the rissoto was mush !! All in all a bad experience .
P. O.
Literally the best Italian in town! Usually a bit of a queue (15 - 20 mins) but once you're in it's amazing. I've been loads and never been disappointed.

Love the food! If you are with a group of over 4 people, try to book in advance as the waiting times are generally very long!

I have been eating in here since 1988 and it never fails to please. You'll probably need to queue to get in, but it's worth the wait.

Always good to Casa Italia when we visit Liverpool. Excellent food and good service, quite often a queue but goes down very quickly, and a sign of an excellent restaurant, which it is.

The food is lovely and tasty .. at a reasonable price .. the service is good., but the waiters smoke outside the restaurant.. and as a non-smoker I find this off putting ,

Best ever gluten free menu. Taste is no different to normal. First ever in an Italian Restaurant for me.
L. B.
Excellent food and service, very reasonable prices, only negative is the noise from the children sat on next table, however the adults with them never asked them to quieten down or sit down so hardly the children's or the restaurant fault
N. C.
Brilliant food made fresh and really good hot and bubbling.
Helpful staff and clean lovely toilets
A. G.
If you like Italian food you will love Casa Italia.

The Casa Italia is a Liverpulian Institution! We have been going for a long time and are never disappointed. The selection is good, and with a margherita at £5.95 it's not bad value either. I would personally recommend the Pollo al Forno...amazing!
A. S.
Have visited Casa Italia for the past 15 years since meeting my wife and we struggle to choose anywhere else because we always feel like it will not compare to the amazing food serves here
D. M.
