Read so many great reviews on this place so really wanted to try it out. Went last night and I have mixed views. Lovely restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful but slow. There was a long wait to take our food order and people who came in after us had their order taken first when we were clearly ready to have our order taken. Starters were gorgeous. Could not fault any of the dishes. Main course was delivered fast and presented well, but we didn't enjoy any of them. My sons pizza was over the top with toppings and a little undercooked so you had to eat it with a knife and fork. Flavours weren't great and under seasoned but the worst part was my daughter's soggy overcooked pasta. She also found it to be very heavy with garlic and did not enjoy it at all. We were then waiting ages to get any attention to get the bill.

Loved the food and the service. They do have lots of vegetarian options. We were getting late so we ordered same old Pasta and Pizza, both veg and it was serviced quickly. Although, they mistakenly served a non veg pizza, but the beautiful manager Lady came to us to inform it was a non veg pizza, I instantly thought of suing them but then their quick resolution to it made me calm lol. expect per person cost like 15-20 £ pounds

Been quite a few times to The Fat Italian Crosby, food is always exceptional. The lasagne is one of the best around! They have a wide ranging menu, something for everyones taste. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the decor is top notch. And they play Italian music, which always gives a good vibe. Service is excellent, very friendly and helpful. Young lad called James served us last time, really nice waiter, very astute and attentive. Would reccommend for a date or a family meal. Sometimes tough to park close by but if you drive a hundred yards past, neat the park, theres always spaces.

Really lovely food but the atmosphere was ruined for us by how rushed we felt. We ordered starters and mains when asked, finished our meals to be told we had overstayed our timeframe and would not be allowed to order dessert. This was really disappointing for us as we could have just been asked to order all of the food together. We had 2 birthdays which we had brought cakes for. Rushed through happy birthday and a few of our party were then asked to clear the table when they still had drinks. We were made to feel like a hindrance instead of paying customers which was a really big disappointment when we're supposed to be celebrating. There was nowhere really to stand with our drinks to finish them and therefore felt we had to be shooed out as though we had done something wrong. Not the type of night you'd expect but again, all of the good we were allowed to have was really really good.

Visited this lovely restaurant a couple of weeks ago. Booked a table for six at very short notice. Everything about this place was lovely. The service, the food was beautiful. The staff couldn't have been nicer, even when I accidentally broke a couple of glasses with my jacket when we were leaving. Have no problem recommending this lovely little restaurant.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Went on Sunday for a late lunch. We both had a pasta dish and a cheesy garlic bread with a tiramisu for dessert, all delicious. Service was great. Even though the restaurant was quiet they really made the atmosphere great in an inclusive but professional way. Had a beautiful meal at the weekend. The food was fantastic, especially the black pudding starter and the staff were great fun - we even shared a limoncello at the end of the night! Well appointed Italian themed restaurant. Upper end of price scale, e.g lobster and steak special £45. Modest wine selection and no real ales on draft. Keg lagers on tap. The lunch special around £14.95 for 2 courses is a good bargain. Staff friendly and attentive. Paid parking nearby.

The best thing about lockdown 2.0? Fat Italian are offering take out. The service is as incredible as it is if you were eating in. I telephoned my order and booked a collection slot over the phone. When I arrived the restaurant was set out really well for social distancing, with a collection point and staff wearing visors. For the short time I was in the restaurant to collect, the staff were so friendly and made a real fuss. The food itself is delicious! I had the Goats Cheese Pasta and my partner had the Alfredo, we couldn't stop raving about how nice it was all night. I would definitely recommend everybody to order from here, it makes a normal night in feel very special. We can't wait to visit in person when Fat Italian reopens.

Amazing food, went with 20 family and friends on a Sunday afternoon. Starters so tasty and great value for money. Main meals delicious, not one complaint. The lamb was cooked perfect, my son had a sausage pasta which he loved, my daughter had steak which was also cooked perfect. I had a few starters I couldn’t make my mind up what I wanted. The sticky chicken and the salt and pepper dishes are the best I’ve had. Staff so friendly, atmosphere was great and the staff had great sense of humour. Will defo be back, it was my first time but definitely not my last. Would definitely recommend. Cheesecake and icecream Sundaes Spot on. Thank you for a great experience. Normally going out with so many people including children can be a nightmare but you made it so easy 💙

We used to always go to the Fat Italian. In fact my wife and I have been going ever since the restaurant opened. We stopped going recently because of a bad experience with both the food and the service. Also we thought standards were slipping due to the very low cost offers which the restaurant offered to attract customers. But we went back today, to see if standards had improved. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was good. Service was still a bit abrupt and rough and ready but overall, we were happy that we gave the Fat Italian another chance! Standards will need to remain high though as there are so many other good restaurants to choose from in Crosby now.

I have been to all three Fatties and I have placed 5 star reviews for both Ormskirk and the Burscough. I have issues with Crosby. The service was excellent, but the food was mediocre. I had mussels in some kind of bread sauce. The kind you might eat once a year when visiting your Aunt Beatrice on Boxing Day and she is warming up the Xmas day leftovers in the microwave. Flour was the dominant flavour. Then a steak which was quite rightly rare, but perplexingly chewy. A poor and frozen cut. The additions were spot on. A pepper sauce and French fries. Finally a pudding of the chocolate cheese cake. Stodge with no bite. Although the ice-cream was good. Hey, who cannot by decent ice cream now? Loved the ambience of the the place but the food was poor.

Thank you all at "The Fat Italian Crosby" perfect food and perfect service. We Celebrated Mums 80th with the family tonight. We have not been out for a family meal, for quite some time. On previous family occasions at other restaurants we were disappointed with the food. We visited in November to try your menu and was very satisfied, then again before Christmas for a Family meal. And it was all agreed by family members this was the best place to celebrate our Mums 80th Birthday. Thankyou all again. Sonia.

Fabulous food for both of us, not just Pizza and pasta, professional, attentive staff. Great early bird menu and 3 courses for £20. Only neg alcohol dear like town, £4 for bottle of beer cheapest White wine that was lovely but £17.95 and home made Tiramasu was disappointed 1/8th sponge rest whipping cream (at least it was proper fresh cream) should be at least half / half but management took off price of liquor coffee also with proper cream not the squirty S..t, 😀 Can't wait to go again. But Italian restaurant please please sort the home made Tiramasu out ??? Thanks xx
