Reviews of Al Duca
The food was truly very good; Italian ingredients cooked the Italian way, sometimes with a modern twist but still very consistent with Italian cuisine.
Good service and good choice of wines.
The menu offers a handful of choices for starters, main, etc and those dishes are made very well.
Will definitely go back!

great food
It is to good
Excellent!
A real Italian restaurant in central London. Spectacular cuisine. I recommend the fried octopus.
Excellent dinner made special by Nicola, Martin and the team at Al Duca. The quality of the food is as good as the best restaurant in Italy. The ingredients come straight from Italy and you can taste it. Food made with love. Thank you Al Duca - third week in a row we are back!
The pasta is delicious.
Despite being in such a big city, the prices are reasonable and you can use it.
A corner of exquisite Italy in the center of London, tempted by the advice of the talented Daniel... ravioli with black truffle... a unique delicacy!
I'll be back as soon as possible 😋
Intimate and comfortable place.
Italian cuisine prepared with quality raw materials. In my opinion, although delicate and well cooked compared to Italian standards, the first courses are a little expensive.
€72 with just one starter, two first courses and just one dessert with a glass of wine can be improved. By doing this, perhaps on a Saturday evening there would be a little more than 20 people. Very kind waitress and superb pistachio cannoli.
Highly recommended with some adjustments.
Normally I don't like eating Italian abroad. But I was hungry and "al Duca" tempted me. Never made a more appropriate choice. Very kind and welcoming staff. Mushroom and truffle tagliatelle with kisses and a tiramisu which was the perfect end to a beautiful day in London. Try it, you will hardly be disappointed.
Very surprised by the quality and warm decor of this ideally located Italian restaurant. Boss who makes comedia del arte style crates and who overplays in the Italian welcome it sounds fake but it does it!
Excellent restaurant in the heart of London in the Piccadilly area. Delicious dishes and a friendly and always available staff. A wonderful experience, we will definitely return.
thank you for the lovely evening spent with you, my girlfriend and I were left speechless by the food, its fantastic taste, then if we consider that my girlfriend had never eaten Italian, she was left speechless and can't wait to go back, so see you next Saturday, thanks to all the staff
Very kind and professional staff, excellent New Year's Eve dinner, impeccable service. Thanks for the lovely evening
Simply an exceptional restaurant. I sincerely recommend it
(Translated) Great Italian cuisine in central London, quiet setting

Ottima cucina italiana al centro di Londra, ambiente tranquillo
Excellent level service. Was very pleased at the attention. Food is great as well.
Not inexpensive, but very tasty and good service.

Ottima scelta da non perdere
Optimal
Excellent pasta.
Good wine...
intimate, authentic, and surprisingly casual for a central restaurant. every dish was well presented.
Exquisite food and attention
Great and authentic Italian restaurant. Highly recommended.
Authentic albeit pricey Italian restaurant in Central London. Service is impeccable and the food is to die for. Regional dishes that are not so easy to find everywhere else. Good for business meetings and entertaining clients.
Just amazing that you can find delicious, high quality Italian food at this very reasonable price in Central London. Gorgeous pasta and gorgeous Puglian red wine. The food was interesting but not overly complicated, with lovely flavours. Comfortable and not cramped; friendly professional service; yummy desserts. And it's open till 11pm. A great find if you're searching near Green Park or Piccadilly Circus.
This is an excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of Jermyn Street. Food and service are consistently good. The atmosphere is good if a little bright. A good selection of Italian wines. Like most decent London restaurants its a bit on the pricey side. Tables a bit close together for a romantic night out.
My girlfriend and I had a great evening there tonight! The staff was very attentive and over all we had a great experience! My girlfriend got the truffle mushroom pasta and I the chicken with rocket salad and Parmesan and we were both quite happy with the food! We would def come here again for an uncomplicated night out!
Fab old school Italian. Great food. Not cheap but very high standards and attentive service
Lovely evening, delicious food and excellent service! Really professional staff - especially Nicola. We will be back!!
Exceptional dinner beautifully presented and delicious wine chosen by the maitre d. Classic relaxed, vivacious Italian vibe, my friends and I had a wonderful evening here.
Quiet location. Satisfactory menu. A few tables outside available for smokers. However, service is very low standard. No fewer than 4 waiters were involved in bringing food and drinks to my table, not one of them displaying any interest in their clients. Pepper, salt, etc. not offered. Forgot my request to bring some paper towels. No waiter in sight for some 10-15 minutes (I sat outside). Once waiter finally appeared, she snapped a desert menu from my table without asking what I chose, and ran away. Probably, serving another customer. Amazing skills of avoiding eye contact with customer.
This was fabulous! The service, the food, the blends of flavours, it was a fantastic birthday treat.
Lovely and unpretentious restaurant in the heart of St. James with a Sardinian inspired menu. Even during the hustle and bustle of the most hectic lunch hours the staff is always attentive and friendly. And I just love the desserts as well as their wonderfully smooth espressi. Grazie mille.
Really classy and stylish Italian restaurant. If you like Italian food just like I do then you should definitely visit this place. The wine collection is really nice. However the service can be a little bit slow when it's busy, but it's still worth it.
Nice menu. Wife had the chicken and it was wonderful. I had the ribeye and it was cooked exactly to my liking, and the roasted potatoes were out of this world good. I could had had a complete meal just with those potatoes. Overall an excellent experience that I would recommend to anyone. ChinChin!
This lovely little restaurant near to Leicester Square is perfect for a quiet dinner where you can chat without having to shout over music and other guests.
The food is good if maybe a little uninspiring the service is friendly and efficient.
The food was good but I think they wanted us to spend more, they brought us bottled water by default, when we asked for help with the wine they tried to point us to the more expensive bottles. I know this is small stuff but overall the experience felt a little bit awkward, I can't help but think they kept saying stuff about us in Italian so we didn't understand
If only more restaurants focussed on no-frills, delicious food and attentive, friendly service. Beautiful breads and olive oil, great pasta. We had a delicious swordfish dish too. Be warned; the Rum Baba packs a punch! I disagree entirely with another reviewer's comment that it's on the pricey side, 'like most decent restaurants in London'. So are London's houses; so is a can of Coke. In fact, the same can be said for most capital cities in the developed world.
Warm ambience, delicious, no-nonsense food - treat yourself. You're unlikely to regret it. It was our second time here this evening; didn't disappoint.
Nice Italian restaurant for a lunch break while shopping in the area.
A wonderful restaurant tucked away only 2 minutes from Piccadilly. The service is efficient but very friendly, the food is excellent and the clientele un-touristy. I recommend the fegato all's Veneziana with spinach. Delicious. A perfect place for lunch.
A really good Italian-ran restaurant. Small menu where every dish is a tasty treat. Great wine selection, great service. Will be back!!
The best Italian I have had for some time friendly staff too.
Excellent local restaurant, the food seems even better since reopening.
Wonderful meal. Great food and service!
Looked nice, but I found the food average and frankly overpriced. On a par with many other London restaurants. Service was good/friendly...
Good location, friendly and attentive staff, and very attractive space. Food fine, although perhaps a little mediocre - tasty, but nothing special. Prices pretty fair for central London.
Lovely atmosphere and very enjoyable food.
Super service and discrete location. Always a charming experience with great wine list.
Went for lunch during the week. It's a busy restaurant so quite a buzz with some business lunches going on. The food was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed the choice on offer. Worth a look.
Very authentic menu, great service.
Really good. Very good service (they really get service), very good food and very well priced. I have been going for 20 years and never disappoints.
Have been going for years. It has never disappointed. Excellent food, good wine list and nice staff.
The food is full of flavour, fresh and offers nice twist to traditional Italian dishes. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and the location.
Thank you for the great experience!
Really great food. Italian paradise in the mouth 👄
Amazing pasta. It was definitely one of the best ones I've had in a long time. The service is also very good and friendly. We will definitely be returning there soon.
I loved the pasta,it was fresh and creamy
Good, rustic Italian food done right
A very friendly place. The staff were great and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a brilliant evening to all at Al Duca.
Good authentic Sicilian cuisine.
Authentic Italian menu with a good wine list. Would recommend and visit again.
The food is very good. Great location- in the centre of London but also hidden in a quiet area.
Posher sort of Italian. A talented kitchen serves up goodies which are brought to you by competent waiters in smart, civilised surrounds.
Very good and refined Italian cooking. Some portions rather tiny. Somewhat overpriced.
Lovely dinner with fantastically polite wait staff - we had the sea bass and the truffle ravioli, which were both delicious!
unexpected well received this a bit off-Piccadilly Italian restaurant. the tagliatelle with truffle is to die for! too little people visit this place.
One of my favourite Italian restaurants in London. Great food, lovely staff.
Great food wine and staff. If the weather is cold don't sit near the window as draughty. Needs sorting!
Excellent, real, upscale Italian. Quiet atmosphere and a good range of food.
A lovely “local” Italian restaurant, pasta was too “al denote” for my taste though
Amazing food away in a none hectic area. Recommend for amazing food and wine.
Excellent service and food. Not unreasonable pricing for the area. Recommend the lasagna.
The steak wasn't cooked evenly but the roasted potatoes were delicious.
Good Italian restaurant. Van be a bit noisy at lunch time.
Great as always. Haven't been in a few years since not working in the area but it's good to be back.
A superb restaurant with engaging and friendly staff, exceptionally tasty and well presented food with authentic Italian beers and wine.
Friendly, good food. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend to others!
Not bad, pasta is pretty good and not too bad a budget for central London
Really great restaurant for the area. Great service and set menu prices.
Excellent service, tasty food👌
Superb meal with very attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
been going there for years. great value, good for late dining after theatre, always bustling.
Not very refined. Decoration not that great. Ordered steak. Wasn't the best.
Excellent food and very good and friendly service
Pricey but excellent food, staff and ambience
Staff food and whole experience was lush. Would go back
From the start of our evening, the charm and attentiveness of the staff made clear that my partner and I would want for nothing at Al Duca. The choice can be made to dine al fresco, but this brisk evening we dined inside the tastefully decorated and well lit, yet intimate space. The menu was just the right size to provide options for all tastes without the same old, same old - their new chef curated the perfect menu. After selecting a nice white wine from their good selection, we started with pumpkin ravioli with mushrooms - the pumpkin was very flavourful and the freshly-made pasta remarkably delicate, just superb. We shared our entrees because we couldn't bear to try just one. I ordered the bass with dill sauce, served with pickled fennel, chicory and samphire, all of which contrasted beautifully with the tender bass. My partner ordered the Ox cheek and truffle mash with carrot/onion garnish. All was stunning, and the Ox in particular was richly infused with exceptional depth. Our plates were clean. I (easily) convinced my partner to order dessert, and while he was in heaven with the salted caramel/hazelnut-adorned dark chocolate mousse, I went to Cloud 9 with the deconstructed pistachio cannoli - I may never have a constructed regular cannoli again. All in all, a wonderful night of flavour and the exceptional sublime service made the evening one to remember.
Really appreciate our Christmas dinner here
Thank you so much
Great food and service. Strongly shggest the liver
Great pasta and amazing staff! I loved it!
Amazing food and service
Barman there when it was "Casa Mario". Great times!
Friendly fast service & good Sardinian food

Simple but exceptional tasty menu of good food. Reasonable price for quality and service.
Cleanest restaurant toilets you’ll find period.

Very good food!
Great quality food!!!
Excellent Italian food.
Good food and good wine.... Obviously as it's London it's going to be busy and can be a little noisy......but worth it
Cute little restaurant with good food
Cozy, yet modern. Loved it.
Good restaurant
Good food and service
Great Plaice and Wine Pairing
Absolutely delicious!
Great steak!
Smart Italian restaurant.
Superb food and service
Genuine Italian restaurant.
Small but cozy Italian restaurant. Every dish we ordered including dessert was well made with great taste, except risotto that was lacking a bit of flavour (reason for taking one star off). The service was great and price was reasonable. Overall, I would say Al Duca is a little gem in Piccadilly Circus that is worth a visit.
