The food was so delicious that words can’t describe it so I just took loads of photos to give you a visual taste of what we had and entice you to try it for yourselves. The staff were super friendly and catered to all our needs including making a special gnocchi with ragu sauce for my daughter. She ate it all because it was a combination of the two things she loved one the menu. It was so nice of the chef to do this for her and she will becoming back for more. The desserts were heavenly and I wanted to try them all but could only eat one! So, I guess I’ll be going back again and again until I try them all. Amerigo has been on of your family favourites for more than 15 years and it will be for many more years.

Wanted to try something fanciful for dinner. Saw this place America vespucci, looked great, decided to give it a try. I usually never try Italian food, but the mrs loves Italian. I was feeling adventurous in terms of food so what the heck Italian it was. I didn’t know what to order and luckily for me the staff member came and helped me to choose. Ordered Spagnetti con Ragu e scamorza for myself , the mrs ordered Gnocchi con Gorgonzola arancia. For the spaghetti to go along with it I had a glass of Sasseo primitivo dello puglia along with the spaghetti and with the pasta there was Amerigo house. Now coming to the food. This was the finest Italian food I have ever had. The food just melted in the mouth and hit all the different taste buds. They added extra Parmesan cheese onto my spaghetti which just made it more mouth watering. It was totally heavenly. The pasta also was excellent , perfectly cooked with lovely sauce. Highly recommend the wines too. Now talking of the service. It was brilliant. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and even took pains to help me to choose what to eat and drink. They knew what they were talking about. Must visit place.

I scheduled and ordered take out for a surprise birthday dinner in my Airbnb in the Canary Wharf area. Jon was outstanding! He had everything prepared to the exact time we planned, and also threw in some extraordinary things for the birthday surprise. The attention to detail was over and beyond. Now to the food! The food was excellent. It tasted wonderful. It topped off everything for the surprise birthday dinner. This restaurant is great! A must visit if you’re in Canary Wharf. Look for Jon! He will make sure you feel welcome and appreciated.

Come here on Valentine's night and had such a lovely evening, we received a warm welcome by the waiter who sat us on a lovely table around the corner. the restaurant was full but we were made to feel special. food was very good, I had the scallops as a starter and the lamb as a main which was devine.. no room for dessert but my BF had a poached pear which looked really pretty. service was amazing and attentive.... Very excited for my next visit to sample some more delicious food.

One of the best restaurants I've been to so far, the manners, politeness and attention to detail is so spot on. They are quick at service, all smiles around and the food is delicious. My jacket got taken off for me, my chair got pulled out and my drink got poured. Absolutely loved it, definitely will be back. Amazing service. This is a wonderful Italian neighborhood restaurant that is worth seeking out. Lots of classic Italian dishes executed well. All of the wait staff were very personable. I had crab stuffed squid ink ravioli with a shrimp sauce that was excellent. The portion of calamari to start was very generous and had the right amount of crisp. We had some mussels to start as well in a sambuca sauce that was extraordinary. The tiramisu was top notch. Worth seeking out also because it is not part of a chain which is a bit of a rarity in this part of town.

Most wonderful lazy lunch, sat outside..... almost like being in continental Europe rather than the UK! Cheeky peroni to start whilst waiting for my host! Then G&T, and to eat, a twist on mules marinere.... This was bold, citrus and spicy 'soup' rather than cream sauce with the mussels, but light and appetising! Main course of calves liver, black butter, wonderfully crispy sage leaves , devine spring onion mash (which sucked up the black butter!) And some healthy spinach!! We tried a Sardinian red wine, very reasonable price at £30, to round off a great 2 first courses! Nice Panna cotta to finish.... Summer berries!

Very good food. Staff very friendly and helpful. The starters were very big. We ordered a bruschetta and a salad and it was almost as big as the main dish. The main dish is a good size as well. So if you are not so hungry or if you ordered a starter then maybe order the small size for the main dish. Although the food is so good if you order the regular one you will end up eating it all with no regrets hahahaha

Came here for the first time tonight and it is now probably my favourite Italian restaurant in London. From walking through the door to getting the bill, service was very fast and very friendly. Within minutes of being seated, our drinks and food order was taken and we didn't have to wait long at all until everything arrived. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Tempted to get a dessert after seeing other people's plates but too full this time. Compliments to the chef though for the lovely food and presentation. The bill arrived barely a minute after asking for it and overall we were only there for around an hour. We will definitely come back here for another dinner, fantastic experience!

My gf wrote the following: Amerigo Vespucci overlooks the river Thames on the corner of the splendid area of Canary Wharf. The engaging music played by a dj outside, guides your attention towards the restaurants while you are walking down the river bank. Outside the place looks quite casual, with a bar and a few barrells where to stand and have a drink. The inside turns it into a classy restaurant. We have been served by 2 ladies and a gentleman, all extremely nice and polite and we ordered fish with a bottle of white wine. Prawns, scallops, mussles and branzino were stunning! It is quite hard to find good quality seafood in London and this is the place to go to if you are craving for some! On top of this, we were pleaseantly surprised by the eagle eye of one of the waitresses, who spotted my boyfriend giving me a present for our 3 years anniversary. Once the dessert we ordered arrived, the plate carried a chocolaty writing with an unexpected message: "Happy Anniversary!" We were absolutely blown away!

We had an excellent lunch at Amerigo Vespucci recently. The food was superb and staff were charming, professional and faultless in their service. The seared scallops and prawn starter dishes were outstanding as were the ravioli stuffed with crab and risotto mains. Dessert and cheese board were also very good indeed. Conti and the team look after you very well. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I first came here for my friend David’s retirement party and was swept away by the beauty of the location right by The River Thames. It was the perfect summers evening for a party. I then went back a second time last year for dinner and the food was absolutely superb. The service second to none. This was my third visit here and I will most definitely be returning. We were looked after so well by our waiter and John the owner came over several times to make sure that we were having a good evening. The food was once again exquisite. I will recommend whole heartedly.

I liked the idea of an outside bar and a restaurant in one place. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had cocktails, which were quite nice and they can pretty much serve you whatever drink you like. Their desserts' menu was very extensive and everything looked so delicious and the ones we tried were sublime! However, I had a main course containing chicken and it was not cleaned properly - I found a bone and some sort of wrap in my meal, not to mention that is tasted more like liver than chicken. Food contamination - have a guess?! 🤔 I am not sure if I will go back to eat there again but won't mind having one of their cocktails!

Went to this place for drinks outdoor as reserved as a big group. Outdoor is nicely decorated with heater, tables and chairs. However, there’s a vent which produce a lot of strong cooked food smell which was unpleasant. Service outdoor bar service was so so as the bartender seems unpleasant when I was paying with cash. I would likely not return to this bar.

I’ve been to Amerigo Vespucci for my birthday with my other half and we had the best experience. Amazing customer service and the food is absolutely delicious. The Cozze con Sambuca e Peperoncini is a must to try!! The Chateaubriand was nice and tender and the dish presentation was lovely with every detail. We felt really welcomed to this place with a classy decor and view to the water creating a relaxing and stylish spot. At first glance it looks like a loud bar with sometimes quite heavy music because as you arrive the bar tables are the first things you see. Beyond the tables is the actual bar. As you go through the restaurant doors, you then get the Italian experience. Warm and friendly environment and popular too. The staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. I stayed until closing. Would definitely recommend.

We come back to Amerigo Vespucci again and again and have never been disappointed. The food is fabulous, beautifully presented, tasty and varied. Moreover, the excellent cuisine is complemented by the wonderful staff, who are always friendly and attentive, but never intrusive. Amerigo offers a cosy, yet sophisticated and stylish dining experience. I can not recommend it enough!

I have been here a number of times over the years and even had a chat with the owner once, who remembered me to greet and shake my hand when I popped back after a while. It is a very nice clean restaurant and the pasta dishes are very tasty. It does get busy sometimes so waiting times naturally increase but I recommend this spot. I think it is special to have a place like this in Canary Wharf (as Canary Wharf can be a bit dull at times with all the chain restaurants or high priced ones).

A lovely Italian Restaurant located on the river by Canary Wharf. I stopped here for a drink last week and sat outside, it w lovely and peaceful considering being in the city centre. There was an outside bar which is nice and accessible accepting cash and cards. Drink selection is good and I'd imagine food is nice from what I saw people eating. Good location and nice place for an outside drink after work. I'd recommend Thatchers Cider, was lovely.

I have worked in Canary Wharf for over 15 years so have seen numerous restaurants come and go, one restaurant that was in fact here before me was AV and for a very good reason it is still here and going strong to this day. Fantastic food, excellent service with even the owners getting involved and making you feel welcome and seeing to your needs. Be it lunch or dinner this place never fails. Even if you don't fancy eating and just want a lunch drink or beer/wine after work the outside area is a nice place to unwind. Forget the rest in the Canary Wharf area and go to the best and without a shadow of a doubt this is.

If it was out of 10, it would be 10 out of 10. Simple Italian food done very well. Gorgeous pasta dishes, grilled mains and amazing deserts too. We had rack of lamb, pasta with lobster and pasta with peppers and bacon. Then pannacotta, creme brullee and choc brownie. We tasted each others dishes and agreed that the quality of the dishes was really excellent. Bags of flavour and executed perfectly. Quite a small place with Plenty of staff on hand. Well worth the money.

My girlfriend and I love Italian food and have traveled the length and breadth of Italy. We expected a taste of Italy from Amerigo Vespucci, sadly I don't feel we got one. On arrival it felt rushed that we were asked to order without being able to enjoy our wine and olives. The food was your average English take on Italian cooking. It was not bad but felt too much 'out of a tin' then freshly made. We will not be making a return visit.

This is unequivocally the best Italian in London.
