The chef and the pizzaiolo became very good friend of mine since I tried their pizza for the first time. 24h raising, top notch ingredients and a maestro pizzaiolo do the rest. The pizza is delicious without mentioning that they are cooking for lunch and dinner too. A piece of Napolitan sun in Barnes.

A beautiful place, lovely food. I usually go during the day, the pizza is fantastic as are the salads and paninis. I had dinner there recenlty and tried the sea bass with prawns and mussels in a sauce and it was one of the tastiest dishes I have had. A beautiful dish and the sauce was amazing.

Best pizzas I know round here. But one problem: the menu for pizza does seem a bit vero italiano. So the anchovy one has no mozzarella and one of the other ones has no tomato sauce. I'm scared to ask if I can add or subtract ingredients as if this was Pizza Express or something. I think they would sneer and refuse.

Tried this place for the first time 2 weekends ago and went back last weekend. Definitely going to make this place a regular visit - authentic 'home-cooked' feeling italian food at reasonable prices. Comfortable and cheery restaurant, with truly authentic Italian pasta dishes, freshly cooked, and excellent Pizzas. Outside terrace at the rear is an added bonus. Very good value for this part of the World.

First time at the ARTE chef and the pizza’s were delicious. We ordered the Salamino and Crudo Right amount of spice for the salamino and the crudo with the perfect zesty rocket. Our waiter Nick was refreshing, funny and entices you to return on a daIly basis. We will be become regulars t this pic cal joint.

A good place for pizza/pasta and a decent glass of wine; not so good for coffee. Let me clarify: the coffee is very good, it's just that you'll be lucky to find any pastries after 10am. I 've mentioned this oversight, over a number of years to the frequently-changing staff, and most recently, some 2-3 years ago, to the chef/manager; answer = hubris and indifference. People like to come in for Tea/coffee throughout the day as well - they don't seem to get this, and consequently don't have any decent cakes/pastries available. When in Rome? ..... I know that many more people would visit here if they had a proper cake/pastry section. Where are the Dolce - sfogliatelle, zeppole, bomboloni and so on? Barnes has lots of competition when it comes to Cafés and restaurants, and I fear that if this place doesn't respond to the locals or common sense, then as always people with not come, and this potentially good café/restaurant will close. Staff could be more friendly, but perhaps their attitude is symptomatic of something deeper rooted? Good luck! I will try again, and give an update in 2019.
