The food was good. It came nice and hot and tasted delicious. It was really full though and could do with less tables because of the amount of tables and chairs It felt cramped. Overall good service except when it came time to pay you had to go up instead of the usual come to your table service that you usually get at restaurants. Staff were polite but they needed more staff because at the time there were only 2 members of staff out front hence long waiting times. Other than that it was ok.

Lovely place, although note that I came during the day on a regular Monday, an not around the theatre time when I am sure it is quite busy. The food was delicious and the service is great. They cater well for allergies.

Went there at a difficult time just before theatre, without booking. Given the rush, they weren't very bothered about customers at the front door. After a 20 min wait, managed to get 2 seats. Speedy service, and good food.

Took my partner here for her birthday just before hitting the theatre 🎭 and was really surprised to how friendly and helpful the staff were. We were quickly seated 🪑 without a reservation but it was a Monday night so possibly check if your going on a weekend. All the food we ordered came out quickly and tasted really good, from the olives 🫒 and garlic bread topped with cheese to the pasta 🍝 mains all tasted fantastic. I’ll definitely be returning in the near future.

Mmmm yummy!!! Totally love this place! Always great food, very simple menus, and fast service! The three chaps looked very busy but we're very organised! Clean restaurant and extremely well presented! Misses got the chestnut mushrooms and cheese, garlic pizza 🤤... I got the pasta with panchetta and mushrooms and chicken 🤤.... Got the 2 courses for £12.99 each so dough balls and some crab, prawn balls very delicious! Go have a look! 5* well done lads! 👍👍

Service was great, food was quite good, and the portions were decent. Highly recommend the cheesecake, it was amazing. We ordered the 3 course meal special and were overstuffed when we left. The waiter checked in on us several times and asked us if we were ready for each of our courses before he brought them. They are very good about food allergies as well. They cater well to food allergies and special dietary restrictions.

Great service by Miky. Food is one of the best in London, count as one of those "Hidden Gems". This is an Italian restaurant based on Wellington Street. We went through a 3 course meal with me and my partner for 15.99 each. For the price of it in London... not a bad price than most places. If you fancy a night for £22 per person, including drinks, then this spot is one of those to try. This is my partner favourite restaurant ever since.

Sunday afternoon, managed to get a walk in table. The restaurant was very busy but service was quick. Both my daughter and I had the spaghetti bolognese, my husband the lasagna and my youngest daughter margarita pizza. Food was good quality and came fast. We had a good meal.

Great choice of food - be it snack-size or meals, and gins too. Stuff for kids meant that my boy didn't go hungry (plus drinks - including a "pink OJ" cocktail) and when my lad knocked a can of fries over - the lady replaced them! No questions asked. Superb.

Bella Italia is one of my personal favourites for Italian cuisine. I always enjoy the ambiance and food here. Covent garden experience was no different. I loved the food, wine, and ambiance. However, the staff seemed to be in rush to reduce the time customers spend on a table. Always in rush of asking us to leave. It wasn't really polite and the sunny Saturday experience was spoilt a bit.

Delicious wholesome Italian food. Good selection of wine (by the glass) and extensive menu serving all the Italian classics and more ! Calamari is delicious, fresh and a good portion size. I had the duck ragu for main. The pasta was evidently homemade in such a good way. Delicious ! My only addition would have been to salt the pasta water more. Great vibe. Just waiting on my tiramisu ! There was a big queue on arrival, we were told there would be a 10 to 15 minute wait. Within 5 minutes we were seated and our drinks order had been taken. Went for a lunch with my friend here yesterday after hearing a lot about the food but was a little disappointed by the service and the food. Firstly, when we arrived and got the menus no one came to take our order, we walked in after waiting for +-15 minutes to ask to order. This was followed by the wrong drinks (it happens so fair enough!). The, presumably, manager also did not inform us foods were not available that day something that is expected in the restaurant industry. In general, it seemed the manager was more busy with his phone by the toilets. The pasta portion was minimal. The tiramisu tasted delicious but the way it was served was off, in a weird cup that smelled as if it had been cleaned in a dirty dishwasher. They also charged me the wrong wine but I let it be, so that is on me. Other people also left the place because of the service. HOWEVER, our waiter really stepped it up which we were grateful for and he deserves 5/5 for trying his best with a manager that clearly seemed to not care. I would think twice before coming here next time.

We had been walking all morning, wondering what to have for breakfast. We saw a great poster in the window at Bella italia. It was a Bella breakfast Sausage, 2 bacon, half a tomato, beans, a thick toasted pice of ciabatta, and fried, scrambled or poached eggs. It came out in like a skillet pan. Which presented it excellently. And it tasted even better than it looked. It was one of the best if not the best take on a full English breakfast we have had. And we got a water and diet coke. And the bill was under £13. Cannot go wrong with quality, and a very inexpensive breakfast. Delicious...

I want to share my experience at Bella Italia, yesterday Saturday 19th June 2021, I booked to have my daughter's 11th Birthday Pizza Making Party at Wellington Street for 16 children and 9 adults. I would like to say Thank you to Ross the branch manager who took on my booking and made this possible. The other 3 members of staff Erhan, Paulo and Miky are so amazing and what a great team. They were all very friendly, polite, contentive, very organised and great customer service. I didn't feel stressed as they supported me to manage this large booking and communicated to me every step of the way. I take my hat off to Paulo the chef who was super great as he was very patient and great with all 16 children when making their individual pizza's. The venue, the atmosphere, the staff was great. All the 16 children and 9 adults had an amazing time and for sure I will return again to this branch. 👏 They all made my daughter's birthday very special. Thank you once again.

We had our Christmas meal booked for 5.30 for 8 people on 18 December with a show booked for 7.45. Our train was severely delayed and we called the restaurant and told them. They were brilliant, they held our table despite us not getting there till 7.!! We had 20 minutes to eat 3 courses!! They got all our food to us in this time !! The food was delicious, staff were fantastic. Thank you so much you were all brilliant and we will be back again ! You are all superstars .

Busy little chain. This branch is split on two floors, the ground level has outside seating accommodating two per table. Restaurant on ground floor is small but seats enough and has room for chairs not to knock back on each other. Service was ok, didn't have to wait too long for food. We were not particularly hungry so ordered calamari and garlic bread. It was nice and filling. Obviously cannot comment on mains, but from my observation, servings seemed a good a portion size. The place is nicely decorated with stained glass windows. Nice late lunch had, but was pricey.

Nice little restaurant, staff was very nice! The front door was open which made it a bit chilly inside, though after asking for it to be closed it was much better. Food was lovely, both the pasta and the pizzas. Though the lasagna was a bit less amazing, it was still tasty. Mocktales were delicious! Would recommend this place for family trips.

Not sure how they heated the starter but the middle was cold, while the top was warm and bottom of bowl was hot. (Microwaved?) The main dish was okay. As for the dessert, I don't think I would order that again 😅. Forgotten to take picture of the starter.. The waitress was very friendly and she tried her best to serve. The place was really busy at the time of visit (booking was 6.30pm). If you don't try to grab attention you will end up waiting for a long time.

Really good food and drinks! We came here on Christmas day and didn't have reservations but luckily didn't have to wait long at all. I am gluten free so I wasn't sure at first what I would order, but they had a great green salad that was so tasty. The drinks were amazing, I think I had a Strawberry Collins, and we also had a dessert as well.

We had a very quirky Italian waitress who whilst been attentive spoke so quickly you had no idea what she said. She seemed rushed off her feet serving the whole front of the restaurant on her own whilst it was packed. Despite this she did a great job - apart from when I ordered 'Fresh orange juice' which was actually from concentrate and when questioned - she looked me in the eye and said it was fresh from a carton. Prices were quite reasonable if you have the £5 pizza voucher. Food was mediocre.

Came at pre theatre/matinee end and service was terrible. Came in and queued at the door for a table waited 5 minutes and got shown to a table in the incredibly cramped restaurant. We got menus and immediately got quite hot and we wondered if air conditioning worked. Waited the best part 15/20 minutes and ordered. We waited 10 minutes for fairly simple drinks of squash and half an hour for kids starters. The restaurant was quite busy and given we had kids we would be give a tiny bit of priority but this was not the case as people who came in 10+ minutes later got served first and much quicker than us. After waiting another half hour/45 minutes we got our food because we asked and they said they would bring it out but instead had to wait another 10 minutes. We eat our food that was actually quite nice. And proceeded to order pudding which didn't take too long. The worst thing about this restaurant was the lack of good service and prioritising. It was very annoying to watch 3 groups at the table behind come in, eat and leave throughout the time we were there. Also we saw people who came in much later get served much much quicker. Overall the food was nice but service was terrible and it seemed like we had been forgotten.

We booked a table for 4.45 with my 2 children. Didn’t take our food order until 5.15 and we didn’t get our food until 5.50; people who came in after us were getting their food first. I went to complain literally 1 min before they brought the starters out. After that, they brought the food out quickly. My son’s garlic bread was brittle, more like a cracker than bread and my pizza tasted lovely but was so hard to cut with a knife and fork. My husband enjoyed his calzone, my daughter enjoyed her chicken and chips and my son enjoyed his pizza. The waiter was lovely to my children once they noticed we were there.

Me and my four friends visited Bella Italia last Wednesday for dinner, I loved the atmosphere and vibrancy of the restaurant, the Waitors were polite and smiley, the restaurant was very busy and still received our food on time! We had Delicious mozzarella garlic bread, then for main course we had pasta Mariana, pollo al crema and grilled chicken with fries and gambrino pasta. We enjoyed the good food very much. Thanks to the two managers who were working really hard and delivered spectacularly!

Service was alright, a bit on the slow side as the restaurant was not very busy when we arrived. We were quite annoyed as we all had discounts for our meal, my parents who have a Gourmet Society card were told that the discount would not work for the one particular day we were there (which was never stated anywhere in our membership, which by the way, is paid for...), they then told us our other discounts from the bella italia email list wouldn't work at their restaurant alone. Food was ok, however we were quite disappointed as the only reason we went to this restaurant was because it was the nearest restaurant to the theatre that our discount card would work at.
