Came here to try when there was an offer. Staffs didn’t look that friendly as felt a bit cold in here. Ordered prawn marinara and calamari. Although the calamari was fried really lightly, the colour of the skin you can see didn’t look fried too crispy. The main course ordered seafood linguine and grilled seafood. I also ordered the carbonara too. Seafood is pretty fresh. However, I was expecting a homemade pasta from an Italian restaurant but the pastas were from packaged ones. A bit disappointed for that. Other than that, think it’s ok local Italian place. They do have proper oven stove on the pizza so you May get some nice fresh pizza made in the restaurant.

I have been meaning to go to Bella Roma for well over a year now. I finally went yesterday, and it was more than I expected. Every dish that came out was perfect! I can’t recommend the Calf’s Liver in red wine sauce enough (see photo). Lovely staff, so friendly. Just amazing. I will be going in regularlry now for my fix of genuine italian cuisine served by lovely people. Thank you!

I have been surprised to see such an high quality Italian restaurant in Lewisham. Prices fair, quality high, big portions. Waiter much more professional than average and of plenty of others more posh places. Changed even cutlery between starter and main with meat knife too. Unexpected and really positive experience.

Authentic Italian dinner in Lewisham at an affordable price. I thought this outfit would hit me with a hefty bill. My belly was full because the servings were generous. I like the warm flat bread and the fresh salad. Stewed beef is slightly over salted but flavour was okay. The chicken melts in your mouth and heavenly. I strongly recommend this place not because they are Italian but because of its convenient location and opportunity to eat good food.

The three of us was seated straight away. We were welcomed by two waiters. My friend is very fussy and asked for a vegetarian dish to be changed and I asked for an extra to be added on my dish too. They did this with not questions asked and no extra cost. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. What I really liked is that we were not rushed through our courses which meant that we could appreciate each meal and have time to also talk and digest. A lovely little place to eat in Lewisham. Will be coming back🌈👍

Simple well made Italian food. Portions are huge and price is definitely reasonable. There's very wide range of choice in the menu and both the mains we tried were very good. We will be back there for sure. We also tried take away pizza though, and the quality drops a lot there, they should remove it from the menu and work on other plates only.

A culinary oasis in a desert of mediocre restaurants within the Lewisham centre area. This is a great place to dine and relax. The food is superb and wines are great, and the service each time that we have been there has been excellent. Try it we think you’ll like it.

A main and a side was enough to fill me up, along with a cocktail and a glass of wine. Went to Bella Roma for a birthday dinner with my family and I loved everything about this place! The pizza is the closest to a real Italian pizza I’ve ever had in London (I’m Italian and have lived here for 10 years!) the base is great and the toppings are amazing and real high quality! The service was really good and we felt as if we were back home. The atmosphere was lovely and the restaurant was buzzing even if it was a Tuesday evening! Absolutely going back soon to try all the yummy items on the menu :)

Whenever we visit our daughter and family in Lewisham we try to make time for lunch at the Bella Roma restaurant. We lived in Italy for 3 years and we still miss the delights of eating out in true Italian style.First time at Bella Roma, been very happy to follow my friend recommendations! Leo and his team at Bella Roma are friendly and efficient, serving tasty and perfectly cooked food. I studied in Rome for five years and it is great to taste Pizza Marinara, Saltimbocca alla Romana and Spaghetti alle Vongole (three dishes I have tried) just as I remember it from my student days over 30 years ago. During the strict lockdown, Bella Roma kept going with takeaway and supported the local hospital with free pizzas. They opened again for table service as soon as it was possible and I now make it the first choice whenever any friends visit and want to go out for lunch. Today a colleague came over and we were surprised that the 50% off food deal is still being offered. Five stars sincerely meant.

May I say when I go for an Italian meal I am always weary because it is so often done so wrong. This on the other hand was beautiful, starter of Mozzarella and Parma ham quality ingredients on a simple dish. I had a pizza which was light and full of flavour as for the Seafood Risotto the plate was left clean. The waitress and owner were so friendly and welcoming and made the meal even more. Going to a restaurant at the moment in England is always a risk with owner's trying to save money on ingredients, that is not the case here. Bella Roma, thank you very much, WE WILL BE BACK!

Faultless, a very warm authentic and accomodating restaurant, with a homely charm and great food. We had a Fiorentina and Margarita pizza, and a penne pesto y pollo for my little one. He loved it all, I loved it all and my girlfriend loved it all. Polly was our waitress and was very friendly and helpful, everyone else smiles and it was still busy at 3pm. We'll definitely come back for a date night!

I came here to have cappuccino and pizza with my mum. The staff were friendly. The pizza was lovely and fresh. Usually other places slightly over-cook their thin-base pizzas. This place cooked my pizza perfectly, which made me happy. I hardly used any mayo, bc it tasted so good. I had ‘chilli infused virgin olive oil’ with it, which I loved. There is only one thing I would recommend to this place: to add biscuits or ‘biscotti’ to the menu, to compliment the coffee. 🍕☕️🍪 😋

Both pasta and pizzas are fresh and made with great quality ingredients. The pasta is al Dante and the pizzas are of a good size. We enjoyed the pizzas with egg very much.
