Reviews of Briciole
L. A.
We had our wedding dinner here and it was amazing! We had 16 guests so we booked the red room for the night. The place is perfect for an intimate and elegant dinner with family and friends.
STAFF: Anna was very helpful with all our queries and planning. The staff allowed us to come in the day before to arrange this big wooden table with our flowers, place cards, menus and thank you cards. Rosanna was our waitress; she helped us set up the table the day before and on the night of the dinner, she was KIND and VERY ATTENTIVE to every need, drinks, additional orders, etc. we had. Our guests loved her. The staff in the restaurant were brilliant.
FOOD & RESTAURANT: Our guests were Italian, Filipino and British and all of them commented on how the FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD AND RUSTIC and how the STAFF WAS ACCOMMODATING, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. Overall, it appealed to different tastes and culture. Starters were wiped out as soon at it was served. We had games and speeches in between. Main course had a really big serving so by dessert time, everyone was full and happy. The restaurant has an authentic Italian and rustic feel to it.
We had an extremely beautiful night in Briciole, thanks to the warm and well-experienced staff as well as the delicious array of food the kitchen served. So wonderful, thank you!

What a nice little restaurant! Specials are always a great selection. Great for a lunch and staff are very friendly. My meal was so good I could’ve eaten it a few times over!Cosy relaxed feel where you’re looked after.
C. P.
Wonderful staff who made our meal very special. You don't even have to pour your own drinks their waiters are so attentive. Brilliant atmosphere and great food. They helped me celebrate my birthday in perfect style. Would definitely be back!
A. S.
Lovely and cozy Italian restaurant, food was fresh and delicious.
The handmade ravioli were perfect!
Good atmosphere and very friendly staff…
I highly recommend this place!
Definitely I’ll go back…!
O. S.
Great food at this fantastic Italian restaurant. We had the ravioli and the polpette, food was fresh, authentic well seasoned. Staff was friendly and honest. Great lovely atmosphere in the restaurant with questionable art on the walls.
S. W.
One of the b at Italian places in London, without a doubt. Angelo is a star. Very welcoming and friendly place with 5 star food to boot.
S.
Very nice and authentic Italian restaurant. Since I’ve been to Italy already twice I can tell that the food and the atmosphere reminded me of my visits in Italy. I totally recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants to feel like they’re back in Italy for a moment.
L. P.
Amazing desserts and a vast choice of authentic Italian dishes.
We enjoyed the service and the outdoor eating spaces. Will come back.
B. S.
Absolutely amazing food and feels like your nonna made it! My friend and I know authentic Italian food and this is it. We have found our place! This is our second time coming here and Stefano, our waiter, made our night!!!!! Great service and really cheered us up after we had the worst couple months of our lives! This was truly a special occasion and he went above and beyond to give the best possible service and was so friendly! Thank you stefano and I hope your manager sees this!!! 10/10

One of my favourite Italian restuarants in London nicely tucked away 10min from Baker Street station. Come here at least once a year and the food, service and staff always deliver to the best standards. The food here is rustic and flavoursome using top quality ingredients without the high end price tag at the end. They have done very well to prepare their restuarant for social distancing, so felt completely safe dining in.
M. L.
Amazing cold platter. Great selection of cheese and cold meats. Burrata was to die for.
Homemade pastas were amazing accompanied by extremely tasty sauces. Looking for a non standard pasta meal this is totally the place to visit. Only disappointment was the Lasagna .. too dry needs more sauce.
M. B.
Great authentic Italian food, rustic interiors, highly recommended
R. H.
We had a lovely relaxed extended meal here yesterday. The staff were friendly and efficient without being intrusive. The food was excellent and the wine recommendations from the manager and front of house, spot on. It's a deceptively big place inside. Try it, you will like it!
S. D.
Superb Italian restaurant.
Authentic cuisine, great wine menu and service too. Best Italian food I have eaten in ages, outside of home..
I very much look forward to returning.
PS. Great cannoli.
P. C.
It's a nice place. The atmosphere is nice and the waitress served us well. The carbonara pasta was a bit salty. They don't have it in the menu but they could prepare it for me. I appreciate that they could do that for me but, unfortunately, it wasn't that good. It's a bit pricey. They are really following all the measures for safety during this Covid period. Congrats for them!
R. S.
Went here on a whim as it was close to where we needed to be. While service was fast it wasn't entirely accurate. I had asked for the lasagna but ended up getting the gnocchi. Not a big deal because the gnocchi was fabulous! My friend had ordered the vegetarian lasagna and that was incredibly decadent!! The food was very flavorful and delicious and I absolutely will be back here!
C. L.
Amazing food!! Everything was so good Service was fast, ambiance is great and it's not too pricey.
L. B.
Good friendly atmosphere. Established for ten years now and deserves to go on for ages. Great specials and an excellent local place to eat at any time
D. G.
A great, traditional, Italian trattoria.
The food is very tasty. The menu is small but with very good variation and full of Italian dishes and products. The wine list is equally good.
Service is fast and staff are very friendly.
If anything the portions, especially those of the starters and the cheese slices, are a bit small, making them slightly pricey, otherwise Briciole offers a great dinning experience!
B. W.
It's ok. A cool idea with a nice and relaxed vibe. However we weren't taken with the food. The burrata on focaccia for the entre was pretty small for the price, the venison ragu pasta special was ok but the venison flavour wasn't too strong and this left the dish lacking flavour as a whole, and the truffle pasta was similar nice but could have done with a little more of a truffley kick to it. We finished with tirimasu and cannoli, the tirimasu was probably the worst dish we ordered with waaaaay too much creme (which takes away from the flavour). Cannoli was good if a little hard.
Service was very friendly. Good Covid measures in place with masks worn properly by all staff and plastic separators between tables. Staff were thorough in cleaning tables.
Z. А.
Super good atmosphere, an excellent service with a very helpful staff. Great selection of wines including desert ones! You should definitely ask for their signature dishes, in particular their pasta! Perfecto!!
J. J.
Delicious and authentic Italian food. We did not order any mains as we were not very hungry that day but judging by the portions of the starters, very generous indeed!
The wine was delicious and the decor was simple but cosy.
The only downside was that they charged £7 for the olives and bread which is fine but it would have been nice to have been notified beforehand instead of being asked casually, "Do you want olives and bread?" as there are some places who do not charge for these.
Overall a delightful experience and would definitely recommend!
A. R.
A surprise find in the middle of a sleepy neighbourhood, Briciole was an awesome Italian restaurant. The star of the dinner was the dessert: a pistachio ice cream accompanied by a caramel chocolate lave brownie.
A close second was the shaved pork belly starter drizzled with olive oil. Lasagna was a savoury delight, with a really well made beschamel sauce. Rounding out the meal was tender veal hidden within a steaming mound of creaklmy mashed potatoes.
The service was fast and friendly, just as if you were in Rome. Definitely a place to return to!
D. K.
Stunning food, great staff, highly recommend this place, one of the best Italian restaurant I have eaten in. I will visit again
D. M.
Authentic italian. We dined in and order takeout. Both great.
T. M.
Had dinner here last night to celebrate our anniversary. We were looking for somewhere unpretentious and friendly. This place did not disappoint! The food, the service, the wine, the atmosphere - it was all absolutely faultless. I would go as far as to say that I would rate Briciole amongst the top three restaurants I have eaten in. We will be back!
Z.
Possibly the best Italian restaurant I have been to outside of Italy. The ingredients speak for themselves from juicy flavoured tomatoes of many varieties to the regional cheese, fresh vegetables and perfect home made pasta. A must visit, book ahead to get a table.
A. M. U.
Welcoming service and very nice food. The affogato was magnificent
H. N.
Briciole hosted our wedding reception in the beautiful Venezia/Roma rooms.
We cannot thank them enough for their superb service and hospitality. Anna was so helpful at helping us organise the menu/decor. The staff in the evening were wonderful - so friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious, all our guests particularly loved the antipasti starters.
We don't think we could have had a better venue for the kind of wedding reception we wanted.
Thank you so much!
D. B.
Food is good value for money and the place looks really authentic. I am giving 3 stars because we were rushed throughout the meal: no sooner had my friend had her last bite, they was removed the plate. Same thing with the bill.
R. F.
What a fabulous find! Authentic Italian in every aspect, lovely, knowledge, charming waitress, tasty calamari, fantastic home made spaghetti, beautiful lemon and almond tart and really good coffee. Will DEFINITELY be returning ☺
J. B.
Fantastic, genuine Italian food. Friendly service despite the busy evening rush.
L. S.
Very cozy italian restaurant. The food is very tasty, feels so traditional. The staff are amazing, very polite and helpful. Try the pasta with ragú, and both tiramisu and chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream for dessert👌🏻
d. m.
A fantastic menu, which links the Italian tradition to an innovative sensory experience !! artisan production and high quality products! my favorite dish ... gnocchi with broad beans, peas and crispy bacon, an explosion of flavors !!!
excellent!!!
C. S.
Brilliant little neighbourhood Italian arriving fresh, simple , high quality Italian fare - at a reasonable price point. And excellent service to boot. Highly recommend
E. S.
Authentic Italian food, friendly service and great ambiance. Strongly recommend!
A. I.
excellent service, excellent staff, well spoken, traditional yet trendy restaurant. Visited after lockdown 2022
M. B.
We discovered this lovely restaurant whilst waiting to get our train back to Birmingham. The food was superb and the service friendly. Altogether an excellent experience. We'll be back🥰🥰
M. S.
Overpriced and not particularly tasty. Ragù was acidic, meatballs were too fatty. The lady who served us had quite abrupt manners
J. T.
Amazing Italian restaurant, food was excellent, service was delightful and the tiramisu was the star of the show. Will definitely be returning.
R. M.
Works Christmas do. Food was amazing!... and plentiful 🙂. Staff very friendly and helpful. Herded us very well.
M. P.
Lovely Italian place. Service was really excellent. Handled our party of nine without any trouble, with reservation made two hours ahead. Very attentive waiter and waitress, handled translations into German for our relatives, and took care of vegetarian and vegan guests very nicely. Made us a gorgeous spread of antipasti to start. Lovely entrees, great wine, tasty desserts. Totally professional, made it look easy. Felt very welcome the entire time. Highly recommended!
M. L.
A great Italian restaurant with only Italian staff. Pizza slice is disappointing the rest is good. Great service and atmosphere and great value for money. Consider 40 for 2 without drinks.
I. A.
Excellent Italian! Very different from a typical Italian in London, steps from Edgeware Rd; everything was cooked so tenderly, it did melt in the mouth, even their desserts are super tender, it's hard to explain in words. Excellent aftertaste and a great feeling inside after eating there. Definitely recommended! They have a heated patio and the service was fast and courteous. Also, an Italian deli shop on the premises.
C. D.
Authentic. Lovely staff. Great grub. Been several times. Happy to return.
D. P.
CONGRATULATIONS! Well done Briciole on celebrating 10 years of excellent food, great atmosphere, and friendly service. Noticed some new specials on the board, can't wait to try them!
Dec 2021: Glad we went back. This is a really great Italian, excellent food, menu changes regularly, great wine list, friendly service. The pumpkin ravioli is excellent, as is their traditional wild boar ragu, also the meat balls. Daily specials always worth trying, today's rigatoni with aubergine, cherry tomatoes and spicy sausage was delicious. Hard to beat.
Oct 2022: Note to self: Why don't I come here more often? It's been four months since dining at Briciole, and I must be crazy not to come more regularly. Freshly made pasta, delicious ravioli, great selection of various cheese and meats, and antipasti for starters. We shared the specials of rigatoni with sausage and broccoli, and ravioli with veal and Parma ham, with a celeriac puree. Honestly the taste was just marvellous. Nice wine list too. Worth a visit. Still my favourite Italian and really friendly people.
July 2021: Briciole is now fully open inside, but on good days/ evenings go for an outside table. Food remains the same high quality, with a few new dishes. Recommend the daily specials- especially the burrata with smoked bassiano ham, and on this occasion the lightly grilled prawns with rocket. We had three mains between us; from the menu, gnocchi with asparagus, broad beans, green peas, the ravioli with lemon, tomato and basil sauce, and the fusilloni with yellow cherry tomatoes, anchovies, capers and burrata. All three lived up to our high expectations. Briciole sources delicious prosciutto, bresola, mozzarella, burrata from Italy, and all their cheese and meats are first class. The wild boar ragu is always very good, and my wife believes their melenzane is the best she has ever had. Probably the best Italian in Marylebone, if not London. Extensive regional wine list across the price range. Very friendly team.
j. r.
Very good food, fast service and very nice staff. Just a bit expensive but that's London's life cost. Try the formaggio ubriaco veneto, delicious!
B. T.
Very nice atmosphere and authentic Italian food. Highly recommended the burrata and tiramisù. The personnel is very nice and everyone is Italian. They can recommend you the most typical Italian dishes they serve and wines as well to go with. I have been several time to Briciole and will keep on going.
I. L.
A bit different but very good Italian restaurant. It is situated in the more quiet area in Marylebone, nice neighborhood, anyhow. Briciole is a cozy restaurant and a small deli with Italian gastronomic specialities. The meals are well made and they include delightful twists. And it is not at all expensive. Main dishes are £10 - £17. A service charge is added to the bill.
m. d.
Really nice restaurant
The food is genuine and portions generous.
All the staff friendly and professional.
Rosanna were really helpful and knowledgeable.
Will definitely return
Highly recommended.
O. O.
Excellent food and great service, the produces are very fresh, I particularly loved the past with wild boar
G. J.
Bustling atmosphere, super friendly staff, great menu which was delicious and filling. What more could you want
A. M.
Tagliatelle al ragú di cinghiale salsa al vino rosso e Ubriaco is absolutely fantastic. This is all I had but I’m guessing everything else is just as good.
M. Z. N.
Excellent food with a VERY friendly staff! Get one of their starters ... You will not regret!
The desserts are awesome!
K. C.
Authentic Italian with good produce. Had the smoked swordfish and grilled vegetables. Really like the vegetables as it is freshly grilled and drizzled in quality olive oil sea salt flakes.
A. K.
robust plates full of flavour. few veg options, which is fine by me, but you know, London. medium wine list. good people. gorgonzola disappointing no better than supermarket. excellent biscotti for the post-lunch an espresso. thankfully keeping prices low by eschewing fancy.
R. C.
A delightful restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine and charming, attentive staff. Highly recommended.
J. E.
Popped there for a double espresso to pep me up. Friendly service, great coffee. Need to go back and try the food!
C. G.
Great place. Properly Italian. Feels as original as I can judge without being Italian. Casual feel, flexible seating for two or twenty. Lots of great traditional food. Being someone who does not eat a lot of salt, sometimes the chef seems to be a little bit too much in love as the waiter pointed out. We had meetings here, long dinners, parties. All wonderful. Fun people as well and a mini deli in the entrance, so you can take your taste memories home.
C. C.
Beautiful little place. Absolutely delicious and authentic italian food. Great service and staff. Would highly recommend
R. C.
Fantastic local little Italian tucked away behind Baker Street. The veal dishes are simply fabulous! Service was impecable and good is extremely tasty!
V. D.
This is a lovely Italian restaurant - tucked away on the corner of Homer Street. The dishes are all lovely and the service is brilliant. This is our local hood and we visit this restaurant at least twice a month. They have amazing Tiramisu to end a great evening here. We highly recommend this restaurant if you'd like to have a great night out!
D. S.
Amazing service
Amazing food foe sure ill come back!!
Well done chefs
S. B.
Find Briciole by chance. We were in the pouring rain with my daughter in a wheelchair, looking for somewhere to eat. They really couldn't have been more friendly, helpful or welcoming. Lovely staff, lovely service, lovely food
A. L.
Very good food and impeccable service.
M. S.
Great restaurant, but they try to make you consume more :).
H. S.
Great italian food and service. Totally worth your visit
J. F.
Beautiful authentic food, make sure you try their bread basket and Burrata!
S. B.
Delicious food. Great staff. Highly recommend.
M. M.
On Homer St. Makes me think of Mr Homer Simpson. He would not be full from this, the main course wasn't enough for me. A half empty plate, or half full, whatever it wasn't enough food for the £14,5 I paid. Tasty ravioli though.
H. J.
Fantastic Italian restaurant. A true gem of Marylebone. Cozy and warm interiors. Great food that's authentic, well presented and in just about ample proportions, given the new inclination of lighter eating. The menu is varied and diverse with lots of vegetarian options. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and professional. This place is a must do. Goes full for lunch and late dinner so bookings are advised.
S. Z.
Very warm atmosphere, superlative service, very good food and that liquorice liqueur..!!! 🤤
D.
Definitely the best Italian place I’ve been to in London! The atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is authentic and delicious.
Highly recommend their signature tagliatelle with wild boar ragù.
Z. S. M.
A hidden gem. Bravo!
S. P.
Cozy, uncomplicated food - just like a family restaurant back in Italy. Loved our dinner outside with excellent pasta and red wine 😊
r. m.
Authentic Italian food in a great place with top service. I will go back!!
R. C.
Great little Italian restaurant. Tuscany foods and awesome cheeses and wines. I had the gnocchi with mushrooms, which was amazing. The picorino was great, and we had a funky cheese that was very interesting. Got there at 6pm on a Tuesday and got fairly crowded after that. Food came out very quickly, though.
N. F.
Lovely wine and food
L. R.
A authentic Italian restaurant. Delicious plates and good service. The waitress confirm, (saying Yes or OK) your order in Italian. Nice touch!
The portions are not massive as typical Italian restaurant and liked that. Plates are individual.
Good dessert and expresso coffee.
I recommend.
J. M.
Great little authentic Italian, handy for Marylebone or Paddington. Great food, good wine and friendly staff
E. B.
Chose this restaurant tonight as a birthday present for my boyfriend - we are both lovers of Italian food. Each course was quite honestly delicious - very authentic Italian food - and the waiters and waitresses were very warm and helpful, recommending a great wine for me.
To top it off, my boyfriend's crème brulee came with 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate on the plate! A thoughtful touch and a good surprise for him as I had mentioned how special the day was when I booked. Many thanks for a wonderful evening and helping us make a new lovely memory, we will be coming again 😊
T. D.
Kind and respectful staff. Food is also great
g. v. s.
Authentic Italian restaurant with a vast selection of cheeses and charcuterie! Very good home made tiramisù.
S. M.
Great service and very good Covid arrangements. Separators between all tables, beautifully decorated with butterflies and ladybirds. Food was top quality and a great selection of wines. I recommend the wild boar pasta with a glass of Montepulciano.
T. J. M.
Very good pasta had the Wild Boar ragu and it was fantastic. I didn't have to add any salt or pepper to it (which if you know me, is rare). Only thing is the portions are a bit small.
M. J.
Amazing food and dessert. Our server was the best server I've ever had in my life. The manager is some kind of goddess too: she dealt with some rude customers with the precision and professionalism of the kind of business I'd expect to find on a major popular UK street. I will gladly build this restaurant into my regular list of "have to come back and visit" places for every time I come back to UK in the future
S. S.
Came here as they had an impressive rating on Google the restaurant was buzzing and I recommend a reservation before arrival the food is really authentic and very very delicious.
b. w.
Fantastic. The food is all top notch, we just had salami and cheese etc. Fresh bread and peppery olive oil. Excellent service doing all they can to protect diners including perspex screens between tables outside
O. P.
Excellent selection of great Italian dishes and wines. We like to order a selection of starters, tapas-style. Great, great specials. Everything is authentic and tasty. Only slightly negative note, for some reason (wine is too good?), the place becomes very noisy with guests talking to each other and it can be hard to follow a conversation with the rest of your party.
R. H.
We love this place, both the deli and the restaurant. It is not like most Italian restaurants, the cuisine is what we think of as rustic; country food of the best quality. They focus on charcuterie and wonderful cheeses and sell these in the deli. You will need to book the restaurant, it is very busy and deservedly so. Definitely better than a typical UK Italian with a very interesting menu.
M. L.
Briciole is amazing! We were in London for Christmastime and dined at many restaurants and this was one of our favorites. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Even our kids enjoyed the experience. The only thing I have to say is the food can come out pretty quickly so if you want a slower pace for the meal, you may want to order each course at a time. But highly recommend!
R. D.
Lovely atmosphere, really nice drinks and great quality deli produce.
The main meals and desserts were also good on the whole, though I was disappointed to spend £16 on a main from the Specials board that consisted of a few pieces of meat ravioli in a strong cheese sauce - nothing great, a small portion and a high price. Otherwise, the experience was very enjoyable.
C. L.
High end sort of place. Great-tasting Italian. Had their Ravioli and a glass of Valpolicella. Great service. Arrived at 1 pm on a Wednesday (today). Got table straight away. Ambience is kind of country house; wooden floors, wooden tables, fairly light and airy.
M. N.
Turned up here after looking for a restaurant between Marylebone and Paddington. What a find! You know when you have come across an authentic Italian when there is no pizza on the menu, and authentic it was. The food was excellent, the wine list extensive and the service impeccable. I would go there again in an instant
R. W.
Our go-to choice for a family meal out. Good value. Mostly down-to-earth sensible recognisable dishes but with enough creative twists to make eating interesting every time. Excellent service. Great friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.
i. r.
Fabulous authentic Italian restaurant, great service, great food and most importantly, great wine. Worth a visit.
J. T.
Perfect Italian restaurant. Absolutely must have for pastas. The best Olive oil I ever had and you can take it home (available at deli). Great place for romantic dinner.
A. D. G.
An authentic Italian dining experience. Food quality is great, they have a good selection of wine and is very well priced for what you get. If you enjoy Italian cuisine this is wonderful place for both food and atmosphere.
D. P.
Great fresh food with friendly service.
S.
Being of Italian origin, I tend not to like Italian restaurants in London because they never really impress, but hold the phone, This place is something different! Food is authentic and covers quite a few regions of Italian cuisine. I was so impressed that I felt the necessity to give Briciole a mention. I saw many dishes I really wanted to try on the menu and will definitely go there to eat again as it wasn’t really expensive.
Saluti Briciole ...
B. M.
Lovely friendly service and delicious Sunday brunch food! Will definitely be returning - grazie!
D. J.
A pretty good and rather interesting Italian place in the Marylebone neighborhood. The starters, including the burrata with goose-and-pork ham, were uniformly good. The mains were decent , though not spectacular. I had pork cheeks in a ragout, which was fine. Not bad at all, but I've had better. The service wasn't bad, but it was on the slow side. All in all, worth a visit.
M. B.
Great food, fine wine and nice service. Quite expensive but worth it.
J. S.
Brilliant food, so fresh and tasty
T.
This is one of our favourite restaurants in London. More of a casual feel, staff are lovely and food always good. It can get quite noisy at dinner, so recommend booking. Otherwise lunches have more room.
The dishes are a little on the smaller side compared to some Italian eateries and maybe slightly more expensive but quality is amazing. It's home style cooking done well. We like the bruschetta, gnocchi, lasagne, meatballs (can order spaghetti on the side) or whatever is on special. Don't forget to leave room for the tiramisu and gelato - always delicious albeit a bit rich. We sometimes come here with the intention of only having the tiramisu. We once had some sort of lemon dessert (looked like a round puff of pastry or cake) which was great but haven't seen it since. Love this place!
D. T.
Tasty Italian food (no pizza) served in a very friendly, personal fashion... We mentioned that our kids were hungry and the food was ready very fast. All the pasta dishes were delicious. We had a great evening at Briciole!
A. K.
I went there for lunch. The service is not up to the standard other reviewers have mentioned.
That may be because our waitress is new. We have two mains (gnocchi and tagliatelle) and they were decent but nothing spectacular.
If you looking for a reasonable bite to eat, this is fine. But I wouldn't take someone here if I wanted to impress then.
M. F.
This is a great restaurant with a fantastic selection of dishes. The food was delicious and authentic, and the service attentive. Portion sizes were good (not huge, but normal) despite some reviews on other sites suggesting they were small. Furthermore, the meals were excellent value for money. I highly recommend this place
K. G.
Such an amazing place. So cute, tucked away, with a neat green facade and an adorable deli/bistro interior. Feels very Roman. Excellent prices for delicious bites. £5 sandwiches on ciabatta or focaccia, also with grilled meats and fresh pastas--including gluten free options! Cannot recommend highly enough.
C. H.
Good service. Welcoming staff. Clean, traditional family restaurant. Meat balls and peas were just 4 balls and some frozen peas. No sauce, no pasta. Meatballs with tomato sauce again...no pasta. You have to buy pasta separately which makes the basic £9 dish more expensive. Very nice but maybe for dinner although quick enough service for a lunch.
J. W.
home made pasta。。。meat ball
J. H.
Pleasant surroundings and nice staff. Desserts were very nice but I must say my mushroom Gnocchi was a little tasteless and my wife's sea bass merited more than than the half-fish fillet she received!
G. B.
Second visit here and very enjoyable. Good service. Portion sizes small I'd say but only in comparison to the standard bigger portions you get everywhere else. Fine for husband and self; son left hungry though!
H.
My favourite local italian restaurant
A. B.
I love this place. Excellent food and great stuff. I will always have business meetings here
C. G.
Why not 5 stars? Good question. Pound for pound the pasta, service, and atmosphere make this a 5 star restaurant. But three details let it down. Firstly, we paid £9.50 for a very miserly portion of fried zucchini and calamari. Which tasted great, but there can’t have been more than a few slivers of zucchini in there. Secondly, is it a proper Italian restaurant if they don’t give you bread? Not for me. Finally, no additional Parmesan offered for the pasta. But that pasta... wow. We had the wild boar ragu and the calcio, pepe, fave. Perfect.

A wonderful little Italian. Order several starters, a main (and a dessert if you're still peckish). The meat selections; out of this world, the cheeses; truly Italian and the mini fried pizzas; unbelievable. The mains were larger, rich, Italian food cooked to perfection. I forced myself to order an unneeded dessert but found them not to my liking. They clearly had some thought put into them but weren't to my taste. I cannot comment on the vino as I was the designated driver!
The decor is fitting for the place screaming cafe at the front and relaxed Italian restaurant at the back. This coupled with extremely welcoming Italian waiters and waitresses on a rare hot Spring lunchtime made for a great experience. They even looked after our things for a few hours whilst we went for a walk. A perfect birthday celebration.
A. G.
The best italian resto in Marylebone.
So cosy and beautiful!
The staff was helpful, the service excellent and the food unbelievable!
I wish I had more time to go through the deli department and shop.
I will definitely go back!
Totally recommending it
H. G.
We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was also great. We will go back next time we are in the area.
R. A.
Great Italian food. Pasta was very nice and the cheese and charcuterie boards are very nice
N. H.
Genuine Italian cuisine, forget Strada or Pizza Express . The food is exceptional and reasonably priced. The staff are attentive and friendly, delivering quick service. Will be visiting again
F. P.
Been there for a casual lunch with friends today and what a great time! The place is well looked after, stylistically genuine and rustic, menu rich of great choices, staff is gentle and caring, i couldn't ask for anything more! Highly recommended the burrata and tonnellini pasta!
I. A. R.
Fantastic, authentic Italian place. Staff are always wonderful and welcoming, the food delicious and abundant, and really good value for money. Only downside is that none of this is a secret so can be quite noisy!
l. m.
This is a wonderful non chain Italian restaurant. Very authentic and fantastic specials.
O. M.
Simply a good price value ratio and a good atmosphere to spend a night with your beloved ones.
P. O.
Never been here before.Booked before going to Wembley for FA cup semi final.
Excellent italian food and wine . You need to go with someone who know their way around italian menus to get the full value.Fortunately i went with a regular. Excellent food , staff good and good value for money. Unfortunately our team lost in the afternoon !
Thoroughly recommend the restaurant.
M.
I live in the area and walked in on a busy Saturday night trying my luck - the restaurant was very busy and the head waiter made a big effort to get us seated. Very much appreciated. Food and service throughout was fantastic and I'd highly recommend.
M. T.
We went to Briciole on a Friday lunchtime and despite the restaurant being very busy the food and service were both very good. Two of us had 3 courses including wine and the total came to less than £50 (inc. service charge). The highlight was the warm moist chocolate cake with hazelnut ice cream.
A. D. B.
Amazing place. Food was delicious. Had baratta bruschetta which was yum and then a fish main which was also great. Really nice vibe and decor and seemed quite cute and traditional. Also seemed like they could charge a lot more but weren't doing it just for the money which was nice. Ordered a bottle of wine and then looked it up on Vivinio and the average price was actually higher than what we paid for it in the restaurant! Not often that happens. Seemed like a restaurant that cared.
L. S. F.
One of the best tiramusùs I've ever eaten! Also, the grilled swordfish was very good! Recommend ordering potatoes along.
Can be worth mentioning that the volume is pretty high.
E. D.
A great family run authentic Italian restaurant. Food was delicious would recommend the antipasti to share for starters. Great atmosphere and fab service - would definitely recommend
S. V.
I would have rated them 5 star except that on my recent visit with three others, things suddenly slowed down after the starters. There was a gap of almost 45 minutes and I had to ask twice where our mains were. No satisfactory answer was given and when the mains arrived my barbecued pork ribs, which are usually succulent, were dry and overdone. Someone else's lasagne was slightly burnt on top also. It was a very disappointing visit and surprising since I've never experienced anything like this on any of my prior visits.
N. M.
Fantastic homey Italian restaurant. Doubles as a cute deli as well. Really authentic and good wine selection. A great lunch or dinner spot without breaking the bank
D. C.
One of the first local restaurants to re-open up for takeaway food and drink, in the process creating a little oasis on Marylebone where you could stand outside and have a (safe) drink during the hot evenings of the lockdown. Many thanks to the owners. Marylebone is a community and the selfless acts of local businesses to keep that community going will be remembered and appreciated for a long time.
p.
Fabulous Italian Ristorante! Super authentic lovely fresh ingredients. The owner is super friendly and fun no matter how busy the place gets, he's a great guy. For lunch I often have a panini on their freshly baked focaccia, with amazing mozerella and roasted veggies. Their olive oil is also top notch, won't find any dodgy ingredients here. Always a good atmosphere even at the espresso bar in the front area of the shop where they will always let you hang out. Best to book for the evenings though as this place is no secret to the locals and can get busy! This is the quickest way to eat in Italy in whilst you are on London.
D. T.
Very nice location, great menu but portions were too small! I gave 5 stars because quality is good and Italian food is authentic but there is room for improvement.
S. H.
Cosy little Italian with an original menu. Quite refreshing to find such a restaurant without it being a pizzeria. Tried lots of items and enjoyed most, especially the arriabiatta! Gnocchi was surprisingly disappointing - wet and bland. Loved the burrata too! Good covid measures in place, staff wore masks and plastic separated tables.
L. J.
Overpriced and the waiter talks too much.
B.
Lovely food, popular and atmospheric setting.
B. B.
Excellent food and great space looks like it has a really nice private dining area downstairs aswell. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Flet like I was on holiday's in here nice relaxed atmosphere well definitely be back
A. F.
Great hearty Italian cooking, friendly staff and good atmosphere. The wild boar tagliatelle was delicious. London pricing hence only four stars.
E. t.
Excellent food and the stuffs are nice!
G. C.
You can find Italian dishes you cannot find elsewhere. The taste varies from dish to dish. For example, I loves the truffle tagliate I had but the other pasta was sub standard. We paid about £40 per head including a wine.
R. M.
Briciole, a restaurant, bar and deli in Marylebone on the corner of Crawford Street and Homer Street, London W1.This place is an informal Italian trattoria with adjacent delicatessen in a relaxed and friendly neighbourhood providing simple and honest Italian food at inexpensive prices.Very good quality ingredients and comprehensive menu are on offer. The service was friendly, enthusiastic and very laid-back indeed.
O. P.
The best Italian trattoria in London! The place is so cosy, the food is heartwarming and delicious!! Tagliatelle with wild boar ragout and ubriaco cheese is my long time favourite (with a glass of Primitivo of course)! Location is great too - walking distance from my gym and yoga studio - which makes it a perfect lunch spot after my weekend classes;)
C.
Was good and bill expensive. But not the best Italian place in London.
A. M.
Food was good, salad had hair in it. Pricey for the quality you get.
S. M.
Relaxed atmospere, friendly and attentive staff and beautiful italian food. Went here with a group of six ranging from ages 4 to 55, and all of us enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return.
H. P.
Great food 😋 super atmosphere and service 👌🏻
K. G.
Finally a true Italian restaurant in London.
Anything I tried from starter to dessert tastes authentic so can't wait to go through the whole menu :-D highly recommended by a picky eater
J. S.
Delicious food and fantastic friendly service. The prices seemed extremely reasonable although bare in mind they don't include vat so an extra 20% was added unexpectedly.
A. E.
Good vibe on entering destroyed by shocking service. Waiters left us alone and did not look out for us when we wanted service. They forgot one of the starters and were unapologetic when we raised it. Ok they were busy but we were one of the first people to arrive.
Food was passable.
Overall a very disappointing experience.
A. A.
Excellent service! Everyone from the front house staff to the waiters/waitresses to the chefs have done a tremendous job. I am definitely recommending to friends and family. 5/5
A. S.
An angle of Italy in Marylebone. Simple food, nicely cooked. Good and fast service. Although not so cheap, still cheaper than average London restaurant (especially in Marylebone area).
Ideal for lunch with family, if not searching for a fancy restaurant. Good wine choice and desserts.
a. o.
Really nice food and really good service. Authentic Italian. A bit pricey. Very nice place with a great room at the back.
A. S.
It was a nice ambience and good wine but the pastas were all quite bland and I would not go back.
A. W.
One of my favourite Italians in London. Amazing burrata made in house, and fantastic ragu. And if you are lucky enough to come in when they do the lamb shank special, defo get the lamb shank
A. S. B.
I loved the food and the service so much I came back here twice (during my 1 week stay in London). Would def. come back! The staff are from Italy, so they are super nice.
G. C.
Great Italian restaurant in London. Pasta was good (tagliatelle al ragù con vino rosso) and salami aperitif too. The bread and the olive oil that you can find here are amazing! Recomended from an Italian guy!
I. A.
They have now separated out the tables outside with plexiglass. The service and food was great so works well if you are a small group happy to sit outside.
R.
Good food, very friendly and accommodating staff and manager. Made space for our party of 7, on new year Eve, at 10:40pm. True story. We definitely will be going again soon.
s. m.
Briciole opens on the road with a small but well-stocked deli area, serving sandwiches and quick lunches to the lucky nearby office workers.
The main dining room has a warm, rustic feeling without falling into the ‘cheesy’ trap of many Italian trattorias, and you can have a peek at the kitchen counter where a few young Italian chefs are busy at work. The ambience looks and feels at the same time unpretentious and ambitious - the menu may be simple, but the focus on quality and terroir is evident. I especially love the cheese platters and the delicious primi.
G. E.
Awesome place.. A bit like going into a trattoria in Italy, enjoying the most simple and yet delicious recipes... Pity they do not make pizza but you have enough to go back home with a happy belly and a smile on :)
A. S.
Prices surely were quite fair considering the central area where Briciole is placed. My dinner here was absolutely amazing. My wife and I had a great time and all the food was simple yet quite delicious.
A. R.
Briciole is a really nice place where I feel like being in Italy. There I can taste original Italian food as I can find at home. Nice location and good service. I really suggest to try burrata, bruschette with anduia and cannoli siciliana.
G. B.
Briciole is a nice little Italian restaurant in Marylebone near Edgware Road tube station. I was lucky enough to get a place outside and enjoyed the nice weather over a long bank holiday weekend.
The waitress was very friendly and I could place my order shortly after I arrived and was handed the menu. I quite liked the jug of water I got when I asked for tap water. Unusual, but very nice and somehow I found it matches the menu and my overall impression of the place.
I was looking for a light meal, so decided to start with just some bread and olive oil - that is usually always a good start. And indeed it was a good choice at Briciole. Three different sorts of bread and delicious olive oil were then followed by buffalo ricotta and fine herbs ravioli with butter and toasted almonds. On the menu it sounded even better: ravioli con ricotta di bufala ed erbette al burro e mandorle tostate. By reading through the menu and sitting outside on a warm day, you could easily fool yourself that you have a day off in Italy. Almost, at least.
After the very tasty and light main, I asked for the panna cotta with strawberry coulis. While often you get only little strawberry sauce, this dessert was almost completely covered in the nicest strawberry sauce you could imagine. As it is always easy to win me with strawberries, this dessert confirmed my my verdict on the food: delicious and definitely recommended.
C.
Lovely restaurant with amazing food and great service! I also organised a birthday party there and it was wonderful! The private area downstairs is really convenient for parties.
A. K.
Wonderfully tasty Italian food, worth of coming back to try more. Very good service.
C. V.
Amazing food and lovely staff. I highly highly recommend !! The tiramisu is also my favourite in London.
M. D. l. R.
Perfect taste, very expensive prices. It actually felt like eating in Italy, adding up that I am from there.
P. M.
Italians are among the most demanding and high-expectations when it comes to eating their food abroad. Briciole just washes away all such fears and doubts, with an atmosphere that matches that of a genuine trattoria in Italy (great staff, easy going layout and the smell of "home"), such a simple and delicious menu that no international contamination seems to be allowed, and a bill that - even without the effects of wine - is absolutely fair. Buon appetito!
N. Q.
Fantastic authentic Italian cafe/restaurant. Fantastic food and wine, homemade gelato. You won't be disappointed. A place I come back to.
C. S.
Really nice, simple menu with great dishes. Gluten free pasta available too, although they don’t advertise it on the menu or on the website!
E. M.
Great service (in Italian if you’re lucky!), large choice of dishes - watch out for the daily specials they are super delicious
J. D.
Excellent pasta dish, that felt far more homely than the big chain restaurants. Service was excellent and friendly
J. F. d. S.
Authentic and delicious Italian food plus great service. I totally recommend it!
A. M.
Very nice Italian. Food was great. Very nice staff. Left an item at the restaurant and they held it for a day. Thank you!
D. N.
Family type Italian restaurant. Main drawback is the limited menu. Ok for lunchtime but would no-go there for an evening out. Food was very tasty.
A. N.
Delicious menu, we tried the tagliatelle al ragú di cinghiale and tiramisu, all combined by a good red wine! Staff really friendly and professional, Highly recommend
G. H. R.
Excellent Italian small dishes with Umbrian cured ham, wild boar salsichos, insalata with beet root, goat cheeses, pecorinos, bruschetta pomodoro, etc. Be advised that their concept is small "tapas" style dishes to share.
M. R.
The food and service were lovely. We were quite amazed with the sausage, which they make by themselves. Great quality!
W. F.
Excellent. Really tasty, simple, Italy fare. Superb service, friendly and helpful. Great value and spot on atmosphere too.
V. A.

All dishes ordered & served for our party of 4 were excellent!
Grazie Mille!!
M. A.
Superb Italian cuisine...v friendly. When you walk in and realise every customer is Italian you sort of know it's going to be good!
E. D.
Wild boar ragu was really nice. Service was nice just a little rushed for a Sunday so my only feedback is to slow it down a bit and let guests enjoy.
M. J.
Genuinely Italian. Great grilled fish (cod, sea bass/bream, tuna etc). Service can be a bit slow but who is in a hurry?!
A. J.
Lovely friendly place with delicious food! Pistachio ice cream a highlight, but it's all amazing.

Tasty food, but a little small choice. And portions are also not to big. And prices a little big. Anyway - there are far many better choices in London
C. S.
Everything is such high quality. Prices are a little steep but it's worth it. Pumpkin ravioli is my fave.
D. C.

Italian food at the top of its game, with an accent on the Piemonte region. Just superb, a regular haunt for us.
S. R.
The food is extremely tasty, service is great, portions are on the small side but left us room for dessert.
D. O.
Good food and friendly service. Knocking off a star for it being quite noisy inside the restaurant so it was quite hard to have a conversation.
N. R.
Delicious food, decent sized portions, and friendly service in a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.
S. H.
Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of cuisine at this gem of a restaurant-good ambiance and service too.

Appears to have declined slightly in recent years. Has an opportunity to rediscover a bit of magic by reinstating practices such as giving bread and olive oil as a default
