Reviews of Cicchetti
D. H.
Love it here .. vibe, atmosphere, Italian food extremely well prepared and served. All meals are small to medium-sized and designed to eat as a sharing experience. The staff appeared to genuinely love their jobs too! The only negative was the tight fit for all the tables ..
B. W.
Really busy Italian place within a stone throw away from the center of Piccadilly circus. Staff where pleasant. Food was good, slightly on the bland side. Only comment is you are seated very close to others so if looking for a date or romantic Italian place not this
a. b.
Every time I’m in London, I try to go to Cicchetti! What a beautiful restaurant, though always super busy and hard to get a table. The food is always full of flavors that you can feel aftertaste long hours after the visit. Love it and will be back again and again!
A. B.
Very tasty food and lovely restaurant. We booked our table for March by mistake but the young lovely lady with glasses (don't know her name, sorry) was very helpful and offered us a table as they had a cancellation. Definitely recommend!
C.
Really lovely restaurant right off Piccadilly Circus. Lovely staff, beautiful place, great menu with options for everyone. The food is small sharing plates and was fantastic.
I highly recommend the tiramisu for dessert!
I will definitely go back!
F. A.
Nice Ambiance, food and service… quick small dishes arrive as soon as prepared.. my advice order in sequence and not all at once if you want starter then main .. Worth trying at least once or twice
N. M.
Good Italian fare in a decadent setting - the food was absolutely spot on. Our server was a bit rude (hence the 4 stars) but other than that, very homelike and flavorful Italian food
A.
Great spot in central London for Italian tapas style dishes. Probably one of the best restaurant windows around, with an enticing showcase of ingredients from fish to vegetables and pasta. The food itself is classic comforting Italian food, with highlights being the northern region sausages and spaghetti. Portions are not too bad for the price. Recommended

Family meal which had been booked for a while however when we got there they could not find our reservation. It was a bit awkward stood by the door in the way while they tried to find us a table however they did find us a table for 6. The table was great as we could see into the kitchen and see the chefs preparing the dishes which was great! The service was efficient and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great, lots of energy and very bustling environment. The food was delicious, the mushroom risotto and pappardelle was amazing. We are already planning our next trip so we can try more of the dishes. Great Saturday night meal and the wine went perfectly
A.
Visited the restaurant with family of four - everybody enjoyed it, five stars.
Good choice, interesting and tasty. Very efficient and professional staff. Tapas type of dining. Though expensive.
You can see working kitchen staff through the glass and enjoy the view if you book the table at the bottom of the restaurant.
Good choice of wine.
Surprise dish was Burrata Aubergine - it comes covered by glass cup with smoke inside!
Thanks you guys for your effort! Would come back one day.

Good food, good service and amazing ambience.Loved the truffel pasta and risotto.Carbonara was a bit dry but as good courtesy they took it off my bill.Only Cicchetti can pull off fancy Italian food in London.Ambiente favoloso, buon servizio e cibo da morire.Spetacolare raggazzi!
M. W.
The food and service was outstanding. There were three of us and we were recommended to order 6/7 dishes. Highly recommend the short rib and the tiramisu.
L. L.
It is a gorgeous place! Very impressive when you walk in. The food is not as nice as they think it is, also the service is too rushed. It is not relaxing and enjoyable when you are rushed during your meals.
A. A.
The atmosphere of the place was nice — there were lots of people who seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were sat quickly without a prior booking. The food was tasty. The portions are on the smaller side, which is by design, since the theme is “Italian tapas”. The service was swift. It was a pleasant experience overall. Will return to explore the extensive wine offering!

I loved it, it is the authentic Italian flavor, fresh in its proper measure, I have been in London for three days and I eat there every day and I discovered that they have other places with food of the same quality, everyone says for San Carlo that is your label, I know I recommend them, the food is not expensive, the perfect measure. the flavors are non-invasive the chef gourmet.

Nice place with lovely food and cocktails. Lobster risotto and black truffle pasta were amazing! 4 stars because one of the waiters or managers was very rude once we had paid. Basically threw out coats at us. Could have done without the picture of Nigel Farage downstairs as well.
M. S.
Went for a birthday dinner with husband and child. Very good experience. Head waitress was so knowledgeable and poised and had the right aura to put clients at ease and chat about food and other topics. Food was very good with some of thebtapas excellent ( mussel, duck) and service was quick. Few places open on a Sunday. Recommended
K. B.
I will simplify this review by saying that it is one of the best Italian restaurants in London if not the best. Every single dish we ordered was simply perfect! I couldn't find any flaw and that is amazing.
D. R.
We came today for first time and the experience was amazing! The staff was very nice and friendly, specially mention to Iva, a spanish girl, and the maitre.
The food was delicious, the only defect that we could said is that the main dishes are a little small, but with a couple starters and the deserts you finish full.
We will definitely come back!
K. D.
This is a dessert for two.
It would feed 8. Go!
Everything, from the simple tricolour salad to the lobster ravioli was un-putdownable.
It's right on Piccadilly, and so you might be forgiveness for thinking it's a tourist joint. It isn't.
The staff are mainly Italian, the tables are packed, the atmosphere is happy and courteous, and it was a wonderful lunch.
N. L.
Had dinner with some friends last week. Food was amazing, the atmosphere was buzzing and our waiter, Dominic, was excellent. He was charming, attentive and humorous! Would highly recommend a visit!
D. T.
Amazing food, amazing staff, we'll definitely come back!
C.
Delicious food (truffle burrata, carbonara and short ribs for the win), great service and ambience.
J. B.
As a restaurant owner, I have to say this restaurant is insanely good. Food is great, and specially the service. If you get to choose ask for a table with Eva, she is very profesional and polite.
M. E.
Restaurants are all about 5 things. food, service, ambience, decor and price. Cicchetti scores highly in all categories. The idea is to order multiple small plates to get a feel of their broad range of cuisine. Signature dishes such as vegetarian ravioli in a cream a truffle sauce, baked salt cod and lemon sole in butter with shaved truffle. Basically, bring on the truffles. Loved our evening here. A really great vibe.
D. D.
Great food, place was buzzing and nice ambience. Food was served very quickly and continually coming to table checking all okay. Would recommend to all
Y. B.
I had an amazing experience here at Cicchetti in Piccadilly. Food is Gorgeous and I felt home thanks to Filippo and Daniele at the bar who took care of me. I will definitely go back really soon.
A. H.
Fantastic cocktails, fresh quality tapas style Italian food. Staff are amazing, friendly, attentive. Desserts are too too good. Recommend for special evening.
M. B.
Love it love it love it!
What not to love about this place? The food is delicious, hmm-mm everything is worth trying on their menu. Service is amazing, and the staff are super kind and helpful.
The one thing I'm not a great fan of, is their dessert which is a pity, don't get me wrong, it's not bad but not great.
I definitely recommend it and make sure you reserve.

Summary: Truffle lovers paradise. Pistachio cake is more like rich cheesecake.
Atmosphere: The waiters were all Italian and the service was really good. Very friendly staff.
Food: Italian tapas style dishes, we love truffle so we ordered many dishes that had truffle. They were all cooked really well and it was obvious that it was premium. I think we ordered a bit much and the pistachio cake (which was more like a large super rich cheesecake) made us too full.
T.
There were some very delicious plates including the black ravioli and the polpette, as well as some very average dishes. Prices are steep for what it is but appreciate this is due to location and most clientele being tourists. Service was very arrogant.
J. C.
Fantastic! Service was amazing, everyone was so accommodating especially to our 16 month old and the food is phenomenal. Definitely will visit again, Thank you all!
A. F.
We love Italian food, but this is a cut above any Italian restaurant we've ever been to. Superb food - a lovely start to a lovely evening and a wonderful surprise.
C. K.
Happened upon this restaurant while heading home from Fortnum & Mason. It was very busy and I had to sit at the bar, but that wasn't bad. Customer service was amazing and staff were very kind. Menu offer many different options and I selected the fish stew. It was served hot with bread and was delicious. Overall, nice dining experience.
P. F.
Really lovely restaurant perfect for a pre-theatre dinner. Food was brilliant and staff were amazing, making a special effort for a birthday in the group.
A. C.
Highly recommend to book a reservation if you wish to have a table otherwise you can pop in without booking and get a seat by the bar board.
I enjoyed my staying here, but there weren’t only highs during the service but also a few lows, that’s why I am going to score my experience here a 3 starts out of 5.
Highs:
-Dishes where delicious, especially if you have never tried truffle is a must here, you can find it as topping in a large variety of dishes from the starters to the main pasta dishes.
-staff is quite friendly and professional, but if you understand Italian you might as well hear things that wouldn’t really suit the luxurious environment that should be... however, let it go has Italian humour ( I am Italian myself, don’t think I am discriminating or else please 😁)
-location is a plus for sure, right in the heart of London
- restaurant layout is okay, a big point goes to that gorgeous marble wall at the bar and at the display in the window, very inviting.
Lows:
-Regarding the inside layout, the tables are very close to each other, so it might resulting like you don’t have much of privacy while your talking with the people at your table. But that’s just my guessing because I sat at the bar seats.
-we ordered 2 main dishes, pasta basically, mine arrived first, I was happy about it, but as for good manner I wanted to wait for my partner to have his dish to start eating together... I sadly have had to eat mine cold because we waited over 10 actual minutes before his one would arrived.
-PIZZA, yes CAPITAL PIZZA, maybe because as Italian I have a precise standard of what kind of pizza I do like.. anyway I must say all pizzas in the menu are very inviting, but my main disappointment goes to the size; I was expecting a regular size pizza to find out that pizzas should be removed from their own category on the menù and be moved to the starter section instead, exquisite pizza but really.... I must have given a bite and it was already over 😪
It should be specified that they are mini pizza I wouldn’t be so sad now and if I didn’t order more than pizza I would have definitely ordered one or two more.
Dessert, I am sure it doesn’t happen all the time, but I ordered my millefoglie to find out 15 minutes later that the order wasn’t taken. Reordered and got it in seconds.
A. G.
The restaurant was rather busy on a Monday evening. The waiting staff was good, but certain food items were slow and portion size for mains were a bit disappointing to say the least. I had dined in their other locations with a much better experience. Even the bill was very slow coming.
V. B.
Once you enter the interior is wonderful and modern. You can see the kitchen, with the wood fire oven, the main kitchen through their clear windows and one side of the wall had all the different wine bottles.
The menu has a lot of vegetarian options. Only disappointing thing I could say was only one vegan option. The food tasted amazing and you could tell it was freshly prepared.
Staff were friendly from the moment we entered to showing us to our table. They asked if we wanted any water and took our order. Once the food arrived they asked if everything was to our standard.
Was very happy with the restaurant and would recommend and visit again.
G. T.
Very enjoyable post Moulin Rouge meal to complete a day out in the west end. More expensive the my everyday dining experience but that's not in central London.
P. K.
Tapas italian style. Great way of trying different dishes. Food was good and staff were friendly and helpful.
J. K.
Another gem near picadilly circus station. The waiters are just dancing and singing happily as they wait. Provide a great service also.
The restaurant vibe is amazing. Lots of conversations, very happy people served by more happy people.
They have a special vegetarian menu that we didn't know. Seems like we could have picked anything random and we would have loved it. The food we got looked great and was gone in no time. The pasta I ordered was perfect and my wife's squash risotto was divine. It was actually served inside a small size squash. The dessert we has was the puff pastry and that was delicious too.
S.
Great place for dinner or lunch. The food is really delicious with decent portions. Service is good with very attentive waiters and overall great atmosphere. It’s a great place for big groups. The only thing they could do better is to bring certain food together like vegetables with the meat or fish.
I. L.
From the outside the place looks like a market, but dont miss out on some amazing Italian food. All of the dishes we shared were delicious and the bar service was very attentive. The bartenders and managers were on top of everything.
S. D.
Fantastic tapas style Italian, amazing food and super quick service. Best Italian restaurant I have ever been to.
M. L.
WOW!!!! If you are around, you must reserve a table. By far the best tapas restaurant I have been in. 62 staff members from Italy. It's more Italian than many restaurants in Italy. The dishes are a bit bigger than average tapas dishes. We order around 20 dishes and everything was amazing with very fast service. This is a must of you are in London.
C. G.
This was my first visit but most certainly not my last, I loved it here! The food was excellent, especially the truffle ravioli (delicious!), and the service was truly fantastic! Everyone was attentive, polite, friendly and helpful and made one want to go back. The only reason I deducted a star was because the aircon was so high, I was a bit chilly. I could have done with a cushion on my chair too as was a bit low compared to my hostess who was on the higher bench seat against the wall. I will be back though!
E. B.
This is a lovely Italian restaurant in piccadilly, near many theatres.
It is not cheap as the dishes are tapas style, but it is excellent quality. Service is fantastic and our waiter was brilliant.
We had a cocktail each and shared 4 dishes, our bill (including service) came to £62.
R. B.
Very friendly staff .. excellent food ❤️
V. C.
Food was really good and great atmosphere but really disappointed with the service. We felt ignored. We asked for the desert menu and another drink and in the end ended up having to leave as needed to be elsewhere. Shame!!
H. F.
Every dish we tried was tasty and service was friendly. Would recommend if in the area.
W. W.
A very nice restaurant in Piccadilly area serving Italian dishes. Staff are very nice and friendly. Foods are delicious. You will not be disappointed by the Chef recommendation if you are lack of idea in ordering.
L. L.
Fantastic Italian restaurant on the corner of Piccadilly and Lower Regent Street offering delicious Chichetti, a Italian style tapas to share. Among the highlights were Fritto Portofino, a mix of deep fried calamari, prawns and scallops, and a fantastic black ink ravioli with clams. Set in a stylish comfortable decor and served by very friendly charming staff. Strongly recommended.
J. K.
Love Chichetti! I've been to the one in Manchester and this is just as great. Beyond having authentic and amazing food and beverages here, I enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant design that is chic yet warm and inviting. And it's wonderful to have the dashing Italian staff and chefs serving with their Italian panache, while also hearing them chat to each other in their mother tongue. It all makes for one of my favorite places to eat, and the prices are very fair.
S. Y.
Wonderful. I have passed this place so many times but never ate here.
It was packed but luckily we managed to get a table without a reservation.
The food was excellent and more generous than i expected. The courgette fries were great.
D. C.
The finalè of a great weekend in Picadilly, we were amazed at the flavours and had not eaten tapas style italian before, we highly recommend this restaurant for atmosphere, service, taste etc etc, an all round hood find
B. A.
Came here for dinner last night, the service was amazing, the food was amazing and the prices are really good for the quality that you get. Highly recommend !!
A. M. A.
Really nice food and service. Make sure to make reservation.
Try the calamari, margarita Pizza as a starter.
The food is delicious and the workers are friendly. Specially Mr. Vito. He is great by all the means.
A. W.
I had a perfect breakfast of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and a glass of prosecco. The service was friendly, and the restaurant interior was modern and gorgeous!
Great for solo diners, because there are seats at the bar, where you can order food.
Tip for the ladies: When you visit at the bar, there is a hook for your handbag. It is a small thing, but a nice thing - so we gals don't have to put our bags on the floor.
K. S.
Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere! I definitely recommend making a reservation. We ended up going to dinner here twice while on vacation because it was so good. I highly recommend sharing plates so you can experience several of the different food options. Even when it's a busy Saturday night, food comes quickly because it's brought out once it's ready versus waiting for all the food to be ready. Highly recommend oysters, bruschetta, arancini, calamari, lobster ravioli, margarita pizza, zucchine fritti, melanzane parmigiana, tiramisu, and cannolis.
B. J.
An absolutely fantastic meal. Two of us started with an Aperol Spritz each, then to share we ordered Zucchini fries, the Tuna steak, Gnocchi gorgonzola, spaghetti puttanesca, and a pizza with mushrooms and black truffle - we finished with the cannoli to share.
Everything was spectacular, each dish was vibrant, fresh, and made with care (the tuna was particularly tender and memorably delicious, and the cannoli was as good as any I've had in Italy).
The ambiance was lovely - not too loud even though it as busy, with a lovely décor.
The only *slight* downside was the time it took for the desert, and the bill to arrive - we had to ask for it a number of times, and were slightly under pressure to get to the theatre.
I'd highly recommend, and definitely plan on returning.
B. L.
Great food, wine and variety of dishes. Will be going again. The range of the small plates was excellent, though do make sure to balance what you order.
E. S.
If you are in London and want to try a fun concept cicchetti is a good pick. They serve medium sized Italian dishes, which gives you the opportunity to try lots of different things and of course with lots of truffle 😍 the food is amazing and the service was excellent. We had a show to go to and had squeezed in a dinner before, but since the food came out really fast and they had promised us that we would have time we were able to still enjoy a relaxing dinner. Superb!
G. E.
The food was fine mostly but the experience was horrible. We were crammed in and had booked weeks in advance but people came in after us who had not booked and had better tables with more space. It was so loud we could not hear each other or our waiter. My husband had finished his starter before any of my food arrived then my main came before my starter. My server looked miserable and said my starter will be coming. We did not realise no sides, salads or vegetables came with the meat. Could not wait to leave
J. S.
As usual food was superb and the Sea Bass in olive oil, garlic and herbs was awesome. Friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended and we will be back soon.
J. L.
Great choices on the menu. Tapas style Italian. Lovely food. Excellent service. Great wine list and bar. What’s not to like. Not cheap, but well worth it.
T. I.
Might argue I had better Italian food here than Rome but to also be fair I was in rome for 3 days only so didnt have a chance to experience it all. Never had tapa style italian food and it was great, got two different pastas and 1 pizzas, great selection and very friendly staff.
M. C.
Really nice shellfish spaghetti and desserts.
Would definitely recommend
J. M.
Food was very nice and the staff incredibly friendly! However one or two pieces of food were forgotten (we just got them taken off the bill so no problems but deserved to be mentioned).
M. H.
It’s a good restaurant and the food is tasty. I would argue that tapas is not the correct term to use to describe the experience of cicchetti because the portions are not as small as tapas, plus tapas are culturally linked to Spain, rather than Italy.
The experience was good, however the service could be better, especially in terms of knowing more about food intolerances, announcing the dishes as they arrive and avoiding to pile up mains and starters all at the same time at the table.
c. W.
Oh I really love this restaurant! We found it accidentally. This restaurant is quite popular so we waited for a while. The food was so delicious! I also love its Tiramisu. I ordered the pumpkin risotto (I forgot its name) and I really loved it! My boyfriend also said he loved their pizza!
G. K.
Very good Italian restaurant right in the centre of London. Good variety of plates. Cooked the right Italian way. Good variety of drinks. And good friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere is also absolutely fine and so is the décor. A bit expensive, especially if a bottle of wine is included in the order. But otherwise, absolutely worth going to. Booking is needed to make sure you get a table.
C.
Nice decor, delicious food and lovely service. Would give 5 stars but then I found the tables to be a bit cramped. You couldn’t relax as someone was constantly bumping into you. I would rather they remove a few tables but I understand they want to get as many covers in as possible.
A. P.
Beautiful decor draws you in. Very average food quality lets you down, considering the very expensive prices (for the tapas sizes). Service friendly and efficient. Food comes incredibly fast (too fast...)
D. S.
Food was decent, could've done with more flavour. Also felt like the tables were really close together.
M. S.
Gorgeous Italian food. Tapas style. Great service! Perfect pre theatre restaurant. Highly recommend.
j. a. h.
Had an absolutely beautiful meal here food was amazing and service was first class.
K. M.
The service and the vibe are great. But the food was pretty ordinary. The burrata wasn't anywhere near as creamy as it ought to be and the calamari was about the same as you might get in a much cheaper place. The ravioli with pecorino was pretty good, though.
N. S.
As authentic as a Piccalilli establishment can get, warm friendly and swift service, generous portions, great ambiance and location
C. C. W.
I love the food , even the portion is small . So I can try different dishes . They are very delicious. They have steak , fish . I love their Affogato. The presentation is very good and nice . For sure I come back . My friend told me they come twice a day . I believe it after I tried one time . Even they don’t have good service like fast food service . But I love the food .
A.
Amazing quality, authentic Italian food in a great setting. We shared 4 dishes between 2 of us, plus desserts, and it was all perfect. The melanzane parmigiana and the pumpkin risotto really stood out. Then the Tiramisu and the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake were divine!
M. B.
I’ve been to this restaurant more than any other in London. Words cannot describe the glory of the truffle ravioli. That dish alone needs a five star rating. The ambiance, staff and food all play a role in making this a wonderful place to eat. I’ve posted a photo of the pistachio torte.
P. L.
Food and service were excellent, and wine choices superb. Seating was very close, so know that if that's an issue for you. Can be pricey, depending on how many small plates you order.
T. R.
Lovely restaurant. Great food. Staff made a real fuss of our 12 yo on his birthday, which he loved.
C. W.
Charming Italian restaurant for breakfast in the heart of Piccadilly Circus. The interior of the restaurant is chic. The Italian servers are very polite with typical Italian charm.
The Ciccheti Breakfast is a typical English breakfast but with an Italian sausage. The scrambled eggs are creamy and seasoned well. I like the way the bacon is griddled instead of pan fried. It is definitely better value for money than the ham&cheese omelette which was well cooked but nothing special.
A. S.
Great small plates in a vibrant crazy fun restaurant. Prices seem modest but can mount quickly so be careful if needs be.
Great range of wines on offer.
Usually very busy so definitely book
Y. C.
I love all things San Carlo. This place is lively. My kids will eat everything on the menu, which is rare. The staff are great fun.
H. M. A. B.
l absolutely love this place!! Food is amazing and the staff members are so helpful and kind. the food was excellent.
Whenever i personally prefer the ltalian restaurant to the Asian.
j. s.
love the concepts of small plates you get try several dishes
friendly staff
the borata was good
lamb was very good
black ravioli was average
Panna cotta yammmmmmy
مطعم جيد جداا

T. K. D.
Very nice food and great service. Then again I think we drank half the bar. Great time.
w. l.
The pasta here is absolutely amazing. The staff is really friendly. This has to be my favorite Italian restaurant in London! Highly recommended dish: ravioli lobster!
I. W.
Food, drink, staff and atmosphere excellent, definitely recommend
F. K.
Great Italian restaurant in the heart of London.
The staff is very friendly and professional, they know when to leave you alone and when to check in with you. The food is also very nice, the plates are "medium" size, so if you are very hungry you might need to, lucky they have a very wide selection of classic Italian food, including Pizza & Pasta, as well as several meat dishes and salads. Can definitely recommend this place
Z. Z.
Great place, great food 👌
T. K.
The food and atmosphere was excellent. Nothing to complain about AT ALL in that department. It's a place to share small plates and it is expensive. The staff were very efficient but not that friendly.
R. D. R.
Great service and very friendly ,helpful and engaging staff.
Food was amazing ,perfectly cooked and great quality-service price.
Been here many times and I wuold suggest it for drinks and dinner.
Francesco was unbelievable.
I helped us a lot trought dinner; encouraging us to try different cocktail, wines and food.
Has been a pleasant evening!
I'll be back soon.
A. L. B.
Food is great but the layout of the tables make it feel crowded and it's very noisy. If you want a quiet dinner, don't even think about it. Also some background Italian music would be very helpful
E. L.
I loved it tonight thank you so much cicchetti team I loved my experience it was my birthday and Mohamed made it very memorable he took care of every need always checked on our table and so polite once again thank you Mohamed and the rest of Cicchetti team. :)
S. M.
Very Italian... Sicilian.. This is what you need if you want to experience real Italian cuisine.. and ice-cream was marvellous! Lovely flavours of veggies and seafood... top-notched!
D. W.
It has become my favourite restaurant in all of London! Be prepared to order 7-10 plates
M. W.
Excellent food and service. Nice buzzy atmosphere. Considering it's on Piccadilly, the prices are not excessive for London.
S. B.
Food was good, freshly prepared and arrived quickly. A little pricey for lunch, although in a very central location in Piccadilly.
M. C.
Wonderful Italian restaurant where you are sure to eat well and the service is very good. The staff is nice. From the soup, bruschetta to the pasta dish (spaghetti alle vongole) to the tiramisu which comes with a small marsala cup, all very excellent and highly recommended.
T. T.
Great food & wonderful services. Authentic Italian food in tapas style. Will certainly come again.
M. S.
Very good choice if you want to taste Italian food in the heart of London. Pasta is mostly recommended
B. K. C. S.
Excellent. Waiters all Italian bar two, they advise on what to order (Tapas style small dishes), wood fired pizza oven AND they know how to make yum pizza, best to book, but they squeezed us in. An oasis of reasonably priced luxury appetizing food in a prime location just a few metres from Piccadilly. Price~location~quality is TOP and the tables are pretty big and comfy despite the probably high rent!
G. M.
Great Italian food. Tapas style.
Great for pre theatre with friends.
M. E.
Great food, great service very friendly staff. When we go into town we always have lunch here.
A. S.
Lovely atmosphere, good, attentive service and terrific wines selection with staff always happy to recommend a gem. Love the "tapas" approach to Italian food which allows you to try a wide range of plates. Particularly liked the aubergine parmigiana. Dessert selection is highly recommended and surprisingly good value. Separate vegetarian menu available.
S. F.
Great service, food was excellent. Nice to try so many dishes that a lot of other Italian restaurants don't have on their menus .
Well done everyone.
S. M.
A really excellent place to eat good Italian food. The margherita is superb!
Also try the black ravioli

Amazing food and fantastic location.. superb and have been many times
m. ş. K.
Tasty Italian tapas, great location and cosy atmosphere. It is pretty crowded considering the Covid19 situation though.
D.
Tasty and authentic! Rear Italian food.
A. B.
Ask to be seated near Antonio, the bartender. Great host, knows his wines and the right food to order.
A.
No chance you could go wrong here, I'd give it 10 out of 5 stars. Amazing and friendly service, some of the most delicious Italian meals - in tapas style, one tasty tiramisu, great selection of wine, recommended for dates as well as dinners with friends and company. Right next to the Piccadilly circus. Remember to make a reservation otherwise you might have trouble to get in.
C. M.
Brilliant food brilliant service brilliant atmosphere. Some of those photos are half eaten, couldn’t resist!
B. K.
This place is magical! We went to taste our wedding cake (Torte Setteveli). The service was 5*, the cake was 5* too. Staff really friendly and helpful. The restaurant and the bar is elegant and clean.
We will be back I am sure.

One of the best Italian restaurant in the World .. Amazing team
Amazing food
Amazing atmosphere
Lasagna 10/10
Chesse balls 9/10
Pizzas were 10/10
You will need to book Ahead of time

Was very busy which was good to see, however that led to a delay in getting our table. Plus point was they made up for it with their service. Food was nice and the wine list was good too.
p. b.
Incredible food, truffle lovers paradise! The service was great and the servers provided us with great recommendations and accommodated us till late evening.
P. M.
This is a bit like a tapas bar only italian food (cicchetti being a Venetian version of tapas).
Excellent small to medium sized dishes in a wide range including pizzas and pastas, meat and fish and vegetable.
You might have low expectations of a restaurant right by a tourist trap like Picadilly Circus, but in this case you would be wrong - you would NOT be disappointedwith this place.
R. C.
Started with antipasto platter, was badly disappointing. I mentioned this to the staff, whom just responded with a nod & expressed so you don't find it too good.
I felt like cancelling my main "Tuscan fish stew", glad I didn't. This stew was explosive of flavours, texture, all cooked perfect!😌
Expresso good, but not Italian hot!
I try their other dishes next time to see...
H. A. T.
It’s my most favorite restaurant in London. Always go here whenever I visit London.

Very nice food
Service is amazing
Central location
O. M.
The food was okay though the portions are sooo small for the price. And don't go on weekends because its crowded and the waiters are always disorganised and confused.
a.
Had an amazing dinner here. Great atmosphere, staff, and the food was a wonderful memorable experience.
T. Y.
Fantastic place! The staff is very friendly and kind! The food is delicious and the desserts... oh the desserts are the best part!
C. S. S.
very traditional restaurant, with good service, price is little bit high, but good quality.
the tiramisu is good. yammy.
M. B.
Really good food and very kind waiters. We were there at New Year’s Eve and had a lot of fun. It is pricy, but you can‘t expect too find something with this quality at Piccadilly... So it was really really good. Can only recommend.
A. S.
Very nice concept of serving food. Very high quality. It is very loud though, hard to have conversations. Reserve a table as early as possible. Central location, right next to the Picadilly Circus.
A. B.
Tasty food, great wine, might be slightly overpriced for Italian food, however it's located in Piccadilly so wouldn't expect less. Staff were extra friendly and overall nice atmosphere.
K. A. K.
The food is really good here, everything was great.
w. b.
Excellent food, friendly service and and great atmosphere. What more could you want.
D. C.
Very friendly staff and we had a great time there! It is a little crowded and tables are quite close but the food is AWESOME!
T. E.
Lovely food. Bustling atmosphere. Very Italian. Grazia.
e. s.
Our go to place. Excellent food, fast service
J. C.
Really good food and service. Nice ambient. Highly recommended
D. H. R. R.
Excellent ingredients and quite authentic in terms of recipes. Likes to be a destination restaurant however one slight criticism is that it's overpriced. Zuchinni fritti being £8 as an example for what is essentially an 80p dish. A good selection of wines and waiters with personality give it an individualised feel however. You may be paying more for the ambience in this case but an excellent choice for an occasion or first date.
A. M.
Beautiful restaurant with incredible food and great service. The spaghetti cacio e Pepe is essential. Will be back very soon!
A. J.
Love this place! Such a great, fun vibe. Always busy and so it should be, as the food is tasty and menu huge!
d. a.
Very good restaurant, traditional Italian cuisine, good service
A. D. P.
The food and service were excellent. I will definitely recommend it. Although I've tasted better Tiramisu.
M. W.
What a little gem of a restaurant, staff ever so helpful, and food was define
I. A.
Excellent Italian food abd outstandingly service. You should tray it
M. V.
Simply amazing place in London! Great concept, modern design, fast service and unbelievably delicious Italian cuisine:)
M. S.
A top-notch VIP restaurant visiting the amazing menu with Italian food has to be visited.
J. E.
Beauuuutiful food, cracking service (very friendly), lovely clean perspex glass, food comes out quick and great atmosphere. What more do you want?
K. R.
Food is always tasty but service was a slow as expected. All and all enjoyed the experience. Would go back again.
R. P.
A touch pricey.pizza express this isn't.. But...a great concept and food was wonderful so a really good value. Great service too , with a lovely atmosphere. Sophisticated enough for pearls, but down to earth enough for jeans....loved it
n. k.
Excellent food but they should advice to order couple of dishes together and not more. Food comes really quick
T. S.
Cozy atmospheric place. All staff very attentive and informative with helping you choose your meals.
They've made a slight mess up with bringing out a wrong dish, but quickly cooked us the right one and made the experience super pleasant. Food had some new taste combos I've never tried before, but I'm glad I did. Comming back again!

Brilliant.fast friendly service, excellent food and happy atmosphere.

Everything about this place was perfect......a heavenly lunch in sparkling surroundings.
L. K.
This is my favourite Italian tapas. Simply love it!
J. S.
Execellent Italian restaurant!!! Best Pasta and Tuscan sausage!!!
h. s.
Incredible food. I have been on the hunt for a great breakfast place in London, and this is an absolute gem!
M. T.
Wounderful experience, turned great by the tall Australian waiter.
D. C.
Very tasty food, try it and the service i good
M. T.
Dont know why on entering they talk to you in Italian until you tell them that you don’t understand Italian! Speaks volumes right!
4 stars are for amazing service on the table and the tasty cocktails and food!
PS : This is not a kid friendly place. I am vegetarian and this place has great vegetarian options.
B. P.
Great Italian restaurant, perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Classic Italian service at Piccadilly, right in the city centre. Make a booking, they are usually very busy.
a. a.
Original authentic Italian restaurant. Every time in London I love to go back again.
D. M.
Sooooo good great food & great service.
G. M.
Top class place, always visit when in London service second to none
C. M.
Lovely Italian food although expensive for what you get. Staff and service excellent. Perfect location for pre theatre dining.
B. C.
The dishes were truly amazing and delicious.
The staff were very attentive, friendly and we would definitely visit again.
J. S. F.
Really expensive for just ok food. Really bad and slow service. Wouldn’t go back.
J. S.
Great value, good quality. Intentionally small portions, as specified at top of menu, in the style of Spanish tapas or Cantonese dim-sum. Take advice of waiters when it comes to ordering. Dishes come as and when cooked and ready, in random order. You can always order additional dishes if you need to. Some dishes are significantly bigger and more filling than others. Caccuico, is a delicious seafood stew with pastry lid, was plenty for 2 people, but we ordered bread to soak up delicious stock. Risotto, Peas & ScallopS had only one scallop. Rack of Lamb was just 2 lamb cutlets. We originally ordered 4 dishes and a side of broccoli. After the 3rd dish appeared, we ordered Veal Milanese (escalope), because we knew we would need more.
D. A.
Little bit pricey, but service was top notch and authentic, we only had a couple of drinks which tasted great, potentially not enough to comment on the food though!
L. H.
Great all plates to share. Drinks were wonderful. Definitely was worth stopping in.
J. J.
Visited cicchetti with a friend, left feeling disappointed. Food was nice, not overly hot however lobster ravioli very good. Seated at 18:30 and was rushed throughout and then asked to leave at 19:10 due to 'booking system issues'. Asked to have a break and enjoy our prosecco before we had dessert and was handed the bill instead. Next we were then asked to pay despite having half a bottle of prosecco to finish. We politely told the waitress we would finish our drinks before paying, seeing as we had only been seated for 40 minutes at that point. The manager then asked us if we could pay and leave because of the 'booking system issues' only 10 minutes after the waitress trying to hurry us out. Ruined our evening meal and left us feeling rather frustrated.
D. R.
Nice atmosphere! Loud but charming. A bit too little space but overall good. Nice food and great size of their tapas food.
During lunch the waiters was a bit stressed, yet they gave a respectful treatment at the table.
The food were tasty. They made a really nice risotto.
T. S.
Great food and service. Better than expected. Years ago Cicchetti opened a branch in Thailand and closed down 2-3 years after; it was disappointing due to portion size, bland food, and price. With that in mind, the food here is completely different in a positive way. Portion size was actually worth the price. High quality ingredients and full of flavour in all dishes we ordered. Service was also excellent.
M. B.
Wish to eat here everyday. Lovely food and top service like always! Thanks guys you always make me feel home!
D. M.
Food is delicious, but the service works more as a fast restaurant than an Italian style fine dining. All arrived together with no order at all... Ideal if you are in a hurry but you still like good food. Less ideal if you are planning a relaxed Italian dine experience
F. M.
Very elegant, bright, classy, yet easygoing atmosphere. Food is great (I tried pizzas, pastas and desserts) and they offer a very interesting selection of wines. The staff is helpful and very vibrant (as you would expect from a 100% Italian’s staff) but sometime they might be not be always attentive. Overall I give 5 starts considering: food, service, environment and location. I definitely recommend it.
P. T.
The food were well presented and very much enjoyable. There were only a slight let down by the lamb ribs, where it wasn't marinated long enough for the favors to get into the meat, but it was still nicely done 😊
An extremely busy restaurant, but good atmosphere, and the waiters were relatively attentive.
Highly recommended and will be sure to go again!
E. F.
The name of the place basically means Italian tapas, and they sell small plates along those lines. We followed the recommendation of 5 dishes between 2 and left hungry, the kitchen having closed for new orders, 40 minutes after we were seated. The bill was still relatively substantial. I would say this is an OK place priced for tourists.
A. P.
Lovely place to eat high quality Italian food. Grazie!
H. Y.
Absolutely delicious authentic Italian dishes full of flavour. We went for pre-theatre meal and were not disappointed. Sitting at the bar and interacting with the staff is my favourite. Good selection of wines as well. Try crab ravioli, my favourite :)
A. B.
Great food, amazing service and also the price is reasonable.
I really recommend it.😋😋
C. S.
Excellent Italian menu. Every dish has something unique to offer and at a sensible price point
l. c.
Authentic Italian food and a good range of Italian wines divided into regions of provenance. Slightly overpriced though. A friend and I had 5 small dishes (the recommended amount as portions are small) , a relatively cheap bottle of wine and a dessert and ended up spending roughly £120. But again, the food is well made so it was probably worth it.
S. R.
Amazing italian tastes. The staff speaks italian.
C. L.
First time here. Will return. Not the cheapest but atmispheric and good foid
D. D.
Food was great served hot and fast but waiting staff slow to come back and ask for additional orders
W. J.
Very relaxed, but extremely professional and efficient... they encourage a style of eating where multiple dishes are shared between members of your dining party, but by no means feel that is the only way to enjoy their boundless fare! Thoroughly recommend!!
R. P.
Food was good, as was the service. Thr dessert was great (Shout-out to possibly the best Vanilla ice cream in london).
Only thing taking the rating away from 5 stars is the cramped table seating arrangement.
T. S.
Amazing food tapas style. Not cheap but worth it for a treat!
M. Q.
Absolute best Italian food in London. Love being there every time! Super nice staff and best food outside Italy!!
R. P.
There is one problem with Cicchetti - the food is so good that your usual Italian will always be disappointing after you've been here.
A. D.
A beautiful restaurant, gorgeous ambience, friendly staff. Food amazing
O. C.
Very delicious food yet it is important to know that the food is served as small portions, even the pizza, and that should order one and a half dish per person at the very least and then share. It is made to be shared. I had a view of their kitchen working and it was a lot of fun to watch while having dinner.
A. M.
Excellent selection of tapas style food. The menu is very large but everything I've tried tastes good. Large selection of wine and cocktails. The beer selection is relatively small. Good value for money.
S. W.
Pros: good tasting food, bustling atmosphere. The sharing of small plates is great. Cons: Some options are way overpriced. Not enough vegan or free-from options. Long queues, impatient but well-meaning staff. Extra star for the last.
C. B.
Great food, small portions which the prices are quite reasonable! Really nice staff except the two girls. Most of them were men which they all were great and smiling, good karma. But the reception girl in orange with curly hair and the waitress girl with quite warm hair colour they weren’t so pleasant, quite rudely faced, when I asked the bill to the girl in orange because no one was around she pulled a face and said sorry not to me, but darling, you work here.
However I might return here sometimes.
S. s.
Went there with our friends. Food was great and the staff were extremely lovely. 10/10 I recommend!!
W. E. L. J. R.
Food was excellent, calamari was spot on, lobster and chops were great. service excellent, staff friendly and cheerful and very welcoming. Only thing that I would say could be better was the beer wasn’t cold enough and no cider is on the drinks menu that I could see. Wine pairings were fantastic. I will definitely visit again for the food and service alone.
M. P.
Amazing food! If you have the money it is totally worth it.
L. W.
Lovely bottle of prosecco shared with my sister to celebrate my big birthday. We had the antipasti which was sufficient for the two of us to have eaten and ordered no more. The portions are Large and they recommend sharing dishes, love this idea. We had to take the Margarita pizza home with us and the ravioli which was delicious we ate because it would have been criminal to leave.
Lovely lunch in a super efficient restaurant, a jewel on Piccadilly.
P. G.
Very decent Italian restaurant serving up Italian style tapas dishes revolving around fish and pasta. The gnocchi was sublime. Good calamari and great scallops. In fact cannot fault a single dish we had. Wine was reasonable. Coffee as good as you would expect. Reasonably priced for its location.
S. B.
A fun venue, lively atmosphere and the food is good. Service is attentive despite the bustle and the people are friendly.
D. d. C.
Slick, glossy, elegant and fun. Totally delicious " cicchetti" ( Italian small portions, or tapas) Great selection of wines by the glass. A favourite at lunch time, brilliant location too. Attentive service, all staff genuine Italians ( not always the case) Buzzing place, never disappointing.
B. E.
Amazing food and concept. The receptionist was really rude, asked us to leave the table as it was booked for someone else after our reservation, one of us was in the toilette, the receptionist Fabrizzio said the person was taking too long (5min) and went to knock on the toilets door for the person to hurry up and leave. Such a nice place with good quality and not cheap at all (£100 per 2 pax) for that low level of treatment, so disrespectful.
A. A.
Great Italian atmosphere, best Italian food i ever tried, especially black truffle pasta. Good selection of wined by glass in red white and pink. Another great thing are portion size, its much smaller than usual, more like starters but price of each dish are also much smaller , giving a great opportunity to try numerous dishes at once, so many tastes, so much fun! It's a great time with fantastic food.
N. E. h.
Loved this place!! Although the food comes in very small portions and the prices are still average, the quality of the food (real Italian taste) is worth it. The Italian guy working at the bar was friendly and he chose my mocktail cause I wasn't sure of what to try... And he made a great choice!! Definitely recommend
D. G.
Very good place for taste real italian food and drinks. Good service also
E. P.
Recommend the black ravioli and mozzarella and mint salad (I forget the name)
Very friendly service, food was quick and perfect way to enjoy lots of smaller dishes rather than commit to one big one
N. R.
An eating experience like no other! The staff, the ambiance, the wine and of course the food were all simply spectacular. This was a recommended spot when I came to London and I can not recommend it enough to everyone else. 10/10
D. F.
Fantastic food, service and staff. They gave us great suggestions for wine and items in the menu and did not rush us, we arrived at 7 and left at around 10. Definitely recommend and definitely going to go back!
N. D.
Fine service. You are best to order quite a few individual plates to get a reasonable fill
J. R.
Nice restaurant on Piccadilly, quite posh and up market as expected based on the location. Service was great, staff were friendly, food was good. Decor was nice with a welcoming atmosphere. We were in a bit of a rush as we had a show to get to so forgot to take pictures. Was a little more expensive then I would have liked but a nice treat with the family.
K. H.
Wow . Didn’t expect really good Italian food in London. . Ate here for lunch AND dinner on our first day in London. Excellent, friendly service. .. Really tasty small -sharing style dishes, and Amazing deserts.
And try the Iced Tea ... it was like Louisiana Sweet Tea- but better.
Definitely recommend this fine Italian restaurant.
t. m.
First: the food is INCREDIBLE. Okay, now on to the rest: it's a bit cramped, always packed, but gorgeous inside. Staff was quick, service was quick. It's a little pricey, it's not clear on the menu outside that it's small plates. But for the location and quality, it's worth it. Funny tip: when you go to the bathroom, there is a wall of fame: pictures of celebrity guests. I remember Jay Leno was on there. So maybe have a peek at the wall! We ordered a few steaks, some fish, and their pasta with their intricate sauce. All were the best I've ever had.
M. D. M.
This used to be my favorite restaurant in London- this past visit I was quite disappointed. The food wasn’t very hot when it came out (our server graciously got us a fresh order of one of the dishes we complained about, which was nice). The truffle dishes are really yummy, specifically the pumpkin risotto and the truffle ravioli. The service was ok, as much as the server tried to be accommodating he seemed all over the place and made some strange off-kilter comments to me which were surprising to say to someone who is a fan of the restaurant. I used to make it paint to come here every time I visit London (this was my fifth time) and I was really disappointed.
That being said, if you can get the food hot, it is delicious and a fair price
R. B.
This is a very tradicional place in the hear of London. The food is incredibly good and tasty, the menu is huge and has uncountable options. The only thing you should pay attention is that the place is intended to be a food sharing place and the dishes are very small. So be aware that the prices for the dishes are reasonable, however youll have to pick at least three to have a decent lunch or dinner.
K. I.
Real good and fine small dishes.
Service: as usual friendly and professional
Atmosphere: beautiful and very italian. Up to our expectations
That's where I always eat when in London
Suggestions: order a few dishes and a bottle of prosecco, a delight!
We were with 6 people and enjoyed everything
H. P.
Good and service, the tables are very close to each other.
K. A.
Nice place. Fast atmosphere and lovely Italian staff. Food is wonderful. My parents love it. Unfortunately, I had water dripping on my head from the air conditioning and the toilet had paper all over the floor.
B. S.
Expensive and buzzing! But done extremely well! Food is delicious. Staff are fast and responsive. Wish I could comment on the wine list. Will do next time.

Amazing Italian food in a modern and classy offering.
D. S.
Fabulous! Food is amazing and service exceptional.
D. K.
The food itself was delicious. We ordered dishes ranging from smaller starters (Arancini, Burrata with truffle and parma ham) to pasta dishes (Papardelle, Bolognese) and seafood (seabass) and red meat (rib eye steak). All the plates we tried exceeded expectations. The portion sizes were very reasonable and we definitely could've done with ordering less. Felt satisfied and very full without feeling heavy.
Good wine options too.
Lovely interior and ambiance. Great customer service from the second we arrived until the second we left.
P. R.
My favourite London restaurant. Need to book. Perhaps a sharing platter and three dishes for two + dessert. Love the classy Italian service maybe bit expensive but a find in this area. Great for visit after RA summer exhibition.
D. @. B.
Fantastic Italian food, absolutely amazing melanzane! Totally worth it!
T. F.
The idea of the restaurant is very original: you order dishes in small quantity that you can share with the others at your table.
The size of the plate is not that small at all : we've just taken 2 with my wife and they were enough.
The quality was excellent and the cannolo we took for the dessert was exceptional!!
Service is very friendly too
I highly recommend this restaurant
C. M.
Great tasting authentic Italian food served in small portions with no sides (unless you order them separately). Great way to explore and taste a few different things. Efficient and professional service. Will go back!
T. M.
Very good food and service. Beautiul space with open kitchen and pizza over. Great atmosphere. We were lucky to happen upon this place for a late bite and glass of wine.
D. D.
Decor, location and professionalism. Situated just off Piccadilly Circus, this restaurant is very well known in the area. Pictures of famous people are on the wall outside the clean and presentable toilets. The staff know their food and wine we'll and the food is offered like a tapas bar. A fantastic choice of food even if your vegan. The deserts are naughty!
Prices are reasonable for the area but you can get easily carried away. The atmosphere is noisy but lively, an exposed kitchen adds to authentic Italian cooking along g with Italian staff.
I would definitely go again if in the area. It's a really popular restaurant that would take reservations if needed.
I forgot to take a picture but Google is your friend so after you read other reviews, GET YOURSELF DOWN THERE! CIAO
M. Y. T.
Went there for a late lunch. Nice buzz in the restaurant, food and wine were excellent and the service impeccable. Really enjoyed the tuna tartare, pastas (ravioli was delicious) and lamb chops.
Ate so quickly I forgot to take any photos! Would definitely return.
t.
Lovely staff, beautiful people and good ingredients.. The combinations with what you have on the day needs a little work but you can do better!! When you don't have avocados or any other ingredients, let us know!! Its not a big deal, the people can order something else.
T. R.
Coming from Italian heritage and living in London, there are so many wonderful Italian restaurants in this city but San Carlo Cicchetti is definitely one of mine and my husband's favorite! The portions are generous and the food is delicious. There is such an extensive variety on the menu, and the service is always great. The staff manage to squeeze us in when we don't book in advance, even on very busy evenings.
M. D.
Very generously, my wonderful relatives shouted dinner here whilst we had a day in London. Enjoyed 11 savoury dishes and three deserts (tapas style). All were sensational, the fish stew was a stand out. Again, didn't need desert but glad I did!
I. N.
Would have given 5 stars for food and table service, except that we were constantly reminded that we had to leave by 8pm. The time was wrong was we were only seated at 7.15pm. Our time for the table should have only expired by 8.45pm. However, the reception/ restaurant manager came to our table a few times and only after we told him that he was wrong and he checked again, that he realised his reception person had logged our arrival time incorrectly. He apologised, but that was it. He did not offer us more time to enjoy our dinner.
We had gone to Cicchetti before 3 years ago but it was for late-night supper. Much better then as we did not feel rushed to quickly eat and return the table. We just feel that the philosophy of rushing through a tapas style dinner is wrong somehow.
To the management of of Cicchetti: this concept Of 1.5h for dinner needs to be re-looked at.
G. V. S.
Great food and great service!
S. S.
Anytime we can find a babysitter, we go to Cicchetti. We love trying different dishes and feeling like we are in Italy for a few hours.
C. P.
Great food, great service. Never disappoints
C. D.
I love the food and drinks
O. A.
Having just spent 2 weeks travelling throughout Italy we were sorely missing the food until we found Cicchetti... best we've had since home cooking in Modena!
Service is fantastic and the meals are authentic, fresh and home-made. Our server made great recommendations and happily spoke to us throughout our lunch.
If you go with the recommended 4-5 courses you will definitely get what you paid for!
Excellent environment, location and service - will be going out of our way to come back the next time we visit London.
d. c.
Best Italian restaurant in London for sure.
P. H.
Brilliant Italian food done tapas style.
S. J.
Amazing, Amazing restaurant! Will definitely be going back, sooner rather than later
A. C.
been there on a friday night with friends. i have to say firstly that was a bit too crowded, table are too close to each other, even for piccadilly, the food is really good even thought the portions are quite small (tapas) wine list as well really good. has the real italian taste and all the waiting staff was friendly, i wont go back anyway because after spending almost 500£ bill managers ask us to leave the table because it was busy and table was needed just after we ordered another wine bottle. i just didn't like the feeling of being processed in a money maker machine.
S. D.
A very wide range of choices. Everything we ordered was delicious!! Dish size is not very big but suitable amount with good quality. One waiter served very passionately. Will go again
C. R.
10/10 in every single aspect. If you are in London you cannot miss this place.
D. D.
Fantastic way to end a last night in London for my family(5 adults) we had a late reservation 9pm, it was good to sit. Chat and Chew over good food and relaxed service. Will come again!
E. I.
Beautiful interiors, excellent customer service, very attentive and polite.
Unfortunately, from where we were seated, we could hear the Chef shouting and swearing at the other members of staff. As we are Italian speaking customers, we could understand the vulgar language used and we did not like hearing the verbal abuse towards the staff from the chef. The food was good, although two out of five dishes were not well seasoned. The dessert was ok, however, being so cold made the pastry hard and not fragrant and the chocolate not creamy as it should have been.
K. K.
Decidedly average all round. I bought some clients here on a Sunday evening (their choice, not mine) and the service we received was average at best and positively brusque at worst. We took two tables as our party was rather large and it took a full 15 minutes, and numerous requests, for the table to be laid and a drinks order to be taken, despite the restaurant being almost empty. One of the waiters acknowledged my polite eye contact with a flippant "Yeah?!" Not the kind of treatment you would expect from a restaurant that clearly regards itself so highly. Looks wise, it is more like a nice cafe than a restaurant and as for the food, I've had better Italian meals at run of the mill chain establishments. The food is adequate but does not merit the pricetag and if you're looking for service with a smile, I would suggest elsewhere
P. M.
Really, really great food (albeit a little on the pricey side). Expect about £50 a head for lunch, without much booze... But it's worth it! The service is excellent, some of the dishes are mind-blowing (try the truffle pasta) and the whole environment just works. It's in a part of London not known for great restaurants, which makes it stand out even more.
T. R.
Top notch prices and great service, wonderful location so why only 3 stars? Because the food was only mediocre. Scallops tasting of salt water. The sauce was visible but undetectable on the tongue. Beautiful ham but accompanying fried semolina had nothing to recommend it, not even the lightness of a fresh doughnut.
Main course of the day ravioli stuffed with crab in brown shrimp sauce - could have done with some salt from the scallops. Steak main course had to be returned as it was fighting the knife. Second time round it came overcooked and with no discernible flavour.
Tres disappointed
M. P. M.
It's always nice enjoy a good glass of wine sharing a pizza or a plate with someone in here.
Even have dinner at the counter is a pleasure, and the food is superb.
Always busy, so for dinner its recommended booking in advance.
The quality of the food is really high and the staff is on the ball!
R. C.
Large, glossy place serving Italian-style small plates, a la tapas, at pretty fair prices for the location. It was very busy when we were there at 10.30pm on a Friday and the service was perhaps inevitably, rather hassled and impersonal.
S. P.
Decent food, great service and a unique Italian food experience for a restaurant. We weren't rushed away after we'd finished our meal and still had wine to drink, so that was good. It felt felaxed. It was quite an expensive lunch, but it's central London!
R. A.
Cicchetti is one of my favorite restaurants in London, amazing ambiance, exceptional food and service. Try to book in advance as they are always full. Also, I would like to mention that they are not expensive for what they deliver -- if you don't drink wine, for eating lots of food for 2 you will spend ~£50, which is very reasonable for their quality.
I. D.
Multo Bene! Great Food and exprience
V. B.
Excellent food. Excellent staff...
One of the best Italian in London.
The truffle pasta is irresistible.
A very satisfying and cuisine with amazing choices of wine.
Need not say more ....
just go and experience the Italy in London.

An amazing restaurant to experience. For first-timers, it may be worth knowing that this is an Italian ‘tapas style’ restaurant so you’ll need 2-3 dishes each to adequately satisfy yourself. If you are hungry, probably 3-4.
Portion sizes are small albeit delicious, refined and to be enjoyed without haste. The raviolis (lobster and black crab) and truffle croquettes was a culinary journey of flavours altogether. You won’t regret coming here. Worth noting there is a 12.5% service charge on top of the prices seen and the price of a glass of Prosecco is much closer to a good bottle - £10.95; but after all, you are here for an experience!
While your here why not pay a visit to The Criterion Theatre?

Very busy, crowded and loud. The food was lovely and the staff are really nice, but we almost had to shout to be able to hear each other speak. Make sure to book ahead as they’re really popular. We didn’t book ahead and had to wait approx 25 minutes for a table
S. J.
It was a great experience. We loved it. The staff is friendly and cheerful.
H. W.
Good location and fairly ok Italian food. A bit disappointed of the cold/hard bread, and the service is unbearably slow, with the restaurant half full, most of the waiters are unattainable and prefer hiding away to chat with each other than notice the service request. Took about 10mins to find someone placing order and 40mins to bring the still water when I actually ordered sparking...

Amazing restaurant. One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in London, souls definitely return. Had the osso bucco, came with risotto, can't even describe how delicious and authentic it was. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again! They say tapas so we ordered a few dishes each but one/one and a half fishes is plenty each! They're not tiny tapas, more like a slightly smaller plate than a usual main. If you're not starving even one plate would be enough perhaps with a salad or veg to get some greens. Not too pricey and lovely decor. Can't wait to return!
M. F.
Not often do I walk out of places with pure satisfaction after a meal, but this place definitely delivered.
Being smaller portions you get to try a wider variety, I suppose its like Italian tapas. 3 plates of food, dessert and a couple of perroni's averaged about 35/40 a head and was well worth every penny! The food was faultless and very tasty.
Will be coming back here.

Fantastic food at this Tapas style Italian. Smaller portions means you need to choose a variety of dishes which make it more pleasing to the taste buds. A great atmosphere too.

Amazing food
L. S. P.
Great restaurant! the service is always friendly, although during busy times it can be challenging to get the attention of the staff.
Truffles ravioli is heavenly. Most other dishes are good too. A little pricy but you get great quality Italian food (although the mozzarella salad is very small and unexciting, the cheese has no flavour and it doesn't even come with fresh basil, only dried one, so this particular dish is not recommended and grossly over-priced...).
Always a nice atmosphere, cheerful if a little noisy...
C. G.
Best Italian food I’ve had in London. Portions aren’t huge but quality is fantastic!
M. R.
One of the best Italian restaurants in London.
J. C.
Wonderful dining experience. We were unfamiliar with Italian cuisine. The staff have been most patient and informative. The best Tiramisu we've ever had, juicy and full of flavor!!
C. C.
Good food with high prices
A. W.
Five stars for ambience and food quality, but only 3 stars for value. This is a very expensive restaurant, and a poor choice for those on a budget. You can easily consume £100 per person here if youwt the staff guide you on what to eat and drink.
Food quality is very good. Decor has good eye appeal.
S. H.
Had early dinner with friend here. The place was very busy, but found place from bar which was fine for two people.
The food was good, some small plates were better than others. Wine was very nice too.
D. S.
Italian tapas bar in piccadilly, food and service was great. Recommend you book as it's very popular 🌇

Experienced this restaurant 3 times so far , and i love it.
Food is Delicious, with fantastic recommendations of lovely staff
Wine was excellent too!
i didn't really like their dessert selection, maybe i was too full, but raspberry panacotta was amazing!
W. P.
Pricey but really good quality Italian tapas style sharing plates in elegant surroundings. Avoid the knock-off imitation tourist traps - this is worth the extra money even if I'd liked bigger portion sizes for my money.
E. J.
Small plates for Italian food, enough for 4 people to try a portion. plan on 3 plates per person. food is decent but not exceptional. some plates are pretty expensive. worth considering but I wouldn't make it a regular stop.
P. B.
Food is on point! Excellent service. Even though you have to book in advance, the house staff ensured I got a table! Great work and what a brilliant recommendation!
E. G.
Nice restaurant with an interesting concept; order a few items and share. Dishes come as they are ready. Service was spotty at best. We were here for about an hour and spent half the time waiting for one of our dishes and the bill.
S. C.
This is an absolutely amazing Italian restaurant. It has absolutely amazing food and you are served by very nice waiters. It has an Italian atmosphere where you can hear noise from the kitchen which really finishes off the restaurant for me. I would high recommend!
U. U.
Best value for London for Italian food in par with other posh restaurants.
J. R.
We stopped in for the English breakfast. It was traditional with Cicchetti flair. Charming, efficient Italian waiters accentuate the beautiful decor and ambiance. I highly recommend.
L. P.
Very good food, shame about the price.
Don't need to order seats in advance.
The dishes are small and delicious but are priced as full sized dishes, so you'll end up with a big bill for any decent portion of food.
C.
Classy restaurant, great traditional Italian dishes. No complaints, would love to come again. The fried zucchini was a highlight. Conveniently located walking distance to many theatres.
S. K.
Lovely - I tried various dishes of octopus, lamb chops, gamberoni, and scallops (they melted in my mouth and were garlicked to perfection). Disappointed by portion size - but would give 4.5 if I could.
R. M.
Hidden Italian Gem in the heart of Covent Garden. The venue was very eligant, well lit, but also has a romantic amiance to enjoy your meal. Comfortable sofas are available and would advice to book in advance to avoid disappointment. The main dishes are small portions but the quality was spot on. The Steak and Halibut dishes were delicious. We had a small selection dessert which was a lovely which comes with two shot of this liquor which goes down nicely.
N. H.
Came in every few nights for a quick bite and amazing cocktail service! The waitstaff were incredibly friendly and got to know me. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is very classy yet you don't feel pressured to conform. Thanks and I will be back next time I'm in London!!
L. H.
This is the best. I go here every time I'm in London. I was by myself. The place was packed, and the maitre d' got me a seat. The bruschetta, the sea bass, the lobster ravioli absolutely excellent. An Italian tapas place.
M. P.
Let's be frank: the service is not the fastest or the smartest, but the food! Oh the food! Delicious! I'm Italian and only at Cicchetti I can taste some delicatessen from my childhood... totally recommended. But beware, it's gonna be pricey
P. E.
Excellent italian cuisine super atmosphere. Smaller portions at less than the usual price. But you can easily get carried away and order numerous dishes.
P.
Ate here before a show nearby. Outstanding food served as small plates to share. The short rib was impossibly tender. The risotto with truffles was sublime. The spaghetti caceo e pepe was just ok. The dessert fantastic. Atmosphere bright and festive. Nicely done
M. M.
One of the best Italian tapas places that few people know about. Cicchetti does not collect accolades from the likes of Time Out magazine and so on but their food is much better than most subjectively top rated Italian “establishments”.
M. A. (.
I absolutely love this restaurant. Food is always lovely and although in theory the same menu is served in the Cicchetti in Covent Garden the Piccadilly branch seems to serve it better. Maybe not a restaurant for everyday meal, but perfect f you want lovely Italian food or can't decide what you fancy as its tapas type of servings will allow you to have a couple ;)
G. M.
Very busy but the manager was kind enough to work us in without a reservation. Excellent Italian small plates. Pan fried veal and sautéed sea bass were the best. Frenetic but enjoyable atmosphere.
L. B.
One of the best restaurants in London along with Signor Sassi.
R. B.
The food is good and the ambience has a nice feel about it.
The service can be a bit slow and it is expensive if you're on a budget. You need 4 to 5 dishes as a minimum to fill two adults.
R. C.
Great food at this place. The starters of mini pizzas filled with Nduja and mozzarella and Arancini were tasty and very moorish. However it's the pasta here that's a real winner. We had one Paccheri with Italian sausage in a delicious tomato sauce. And the carbonara here is hands down the best I've ever eaten, super silky and not curdled eggs likes I've had at many other London Italian restaurants. Definitely have to try.
The only reason I didn't rate higher is the staff were a bit underwhelming. It was very busy and our waiter was quite distracted. We ordered wine and then he took away the wine glasses, only to come back with the bottle, open it and then realised there were no glasses to pour it into. Also, the toilets for some reason we're closed, forcing anybody needing to go to use the one disabled toilet, which had quite a queue.
Otherwise I'd recommend this restaurant, but be sure to book as it gets busy.
N. R.
Cichetti is such a lovely place with some of the best Italian and sicilians small plates. Pastas and pizza are so wonderful. Talk about comfort food taken to the next level. Try their gnocchi- simpley out of this world asis their eggplant parmesan!! So many bites that are just mouth watering. Presentation is impeccable and the service well the service is fast responsive and always with a smile. Would definitely go again. Highly recommended

Fabulous delicious food

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat for dinner around Piccadilly Circle. This place looked a bit fancy from the outside, so we were hesitant to walk in being casually dressed; however, after we walked in, we noticed other people were dressed casual (i.e. shorts) as well. The restaurant offers small plates, which are reasonably priced. We shared 3 plates (gnocchi, lasagna, milanesa) and 2 glasses of wine and paid around £50. Service was good and the food was exceptional! Highly recommend!
J. R.
Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Piccadilly just a 10 second walk from the Underground station. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive when appropriate, service was very fast but not at all rushed, and the food was superb. We took my dad here for his birthday and they presented us with a free cake and candle just from observing his birthday badge.
H. P.
Always enjoy grabbing a few plates here after a game of Squash.
Unfortunately the new staff struggle to understand my English accent so did not get my order right on the last two occasions, whilst during my last visit they would not give me my change. So I recommend not to pay with cash
C. W.
Oh yes! Loved the food!! Right in covent garden so go before your show! Not cheap tho, depends on how many dishes you order of course (same as tapas).
A. D.
Check your bills before you pay!
Have been coming here for 5 years now. Lovely restaurant with lovely Italian food though was disappointed this time with service which seemed to be too fast to make us leave asap and final bill charging us for 2 bottles of wine instead of one! Even after we noticed this , service charges remained the same as for the bill with 2 bottles of wine(
J. L. M.
It's so bustling and popular that I guess some people are bound to have the occasional bad experience, but every time I've been the food has been sublime, and the wine list is outstanding (try the Negroamaro), the service efficient, and the overall environment and experience just special. The food, ultimately, is what carries Cicchetti through - outstanding Italian small plates of every form. One of the very best Italian dining experiences in London.
M. P.
My favorite lunch stop in London. Quick service, excellent food. Served like tapas Italian style, you can enjoy several dishes. Order and share on the table.
M. B.
Super restaurant.
A little bit noisy, but not surprised as it is italian....
Just be aware that it is a "Italian tapas" restaurant. So the budget could be important.
Nevertheless the food was delicious.
J.
Great food, and great service (quick and friendly) in this italian tapas restaurant. Be sure to book a table in advance. It's a lively place full of life, not a quiet romantic place. Works very well for pre-theater dinner.
g. g.
Really nice comfortable and the quality is so high... I really enjoyed it...a bit expensive but it worth it....
K. L. J.
Food is really great. Loved the sharing experience and the pace of the meal. I was a little disappointed with the wine selection and the temperature the wine was served at, but I am a Piemonte wine kind of guy so it will probably not apply to all.
J. S.
Brilliant food, brilliant service. Food was ready within 10-15 minutes and was all delicious. Wine was expensive (£25 a bottle at cheapest) but the food was decent price. 4 of us ate heartily for £82.
R. I.
This Italian restaurant in Piccadilly Square is always great. The plates are tapas size so perfect for sharing and the pasta is outstanding. The pizza is also really good and a great way to begin your meal. Plenty of wine and cocktails as well as beer options and the tiramisu is also one of the best I have had.
V. C.
Amazing service and great food! Francesco Ceraso always makes me feel like I'm back home in Italy.
I work very closely to the restaurant and I always send my best clients to him, however it's very disappointing not to being able to provide his business cards to them. ( please provide business cards for managers like Francesco, it's definitely a great tool)
L. M.
great food, good value and excellence location. overall feeling is great; the "cicchetti" concept (an Italian version of Spanish tapas) is not explained properly; they suggest you to pick 5/6 portions for 2 people but they charge you the same as the main courses, not great!....be aware....a bit confusing and you could end up paying a fortune; but the food is worth the money you pay! fantastic!! the management is a bit loud and on your face but the waiters are very helpful and friendly - always on the case; hope you enjoy...
E. K.
Book Early and eat as much as you can
D. T.
Best for small plates (cicchetti) but also offers main dishes. Nice choice of wine. A little overpriced but great atmosphere.
S. s.
Great food, reasonably priced for the area, small... ish portion of typical italian dishes sold as cicchetti. Perhaps not exactly what the essence of cicchetti is all about it. However good vibe even if the service can be a bit patchy and tipycally italian ...lots of staff talking about their business and tell each other what to do without actually doing what they are meant to be doing .. SERVING!!
Strangely enough i really enjoyed it ...!!
S. S.
Good but expensive italian fare conveniently located for a pit stop in the centre of west end
A. T.
One of my favourite places to eat with fantastic and attentive service. Great to go with friends and cover the table with a selection of delicious cicchetti dishes. The wine can have a very high markup from shop prices.
J. B.
Love the food here. Best Italian I have had. Went for Valentine's day. Know the staff. Otherwise they are normally booked for dinner 2 weeks in advance.n
M. S.
me and my dad ordered 3 starters 2 meals and 2 deserts and it came in under 5 minuets the food was in a good portion and the workers where super happy to be there and serve us it was also real Italian food I am really impressed with the restaurant
D. C.
Not expensive until you order wine! The food is as good here as the other 4 branches we have visited. We had 6 plates of food, a couple of beers and paid £67 which for 2 people within 100 yards of Piccadilly circus station is excellent.
J. C.
This is my favourite restaurant in the UK. Believe me I eat out in great places like The Ritz but Cicchetti is the best in all areas. Atmosphere is vibrant, happy waiting staff, welcoming staff, great service as they are always busy the staff are on the ball, great decor with lovely natural wood against lovely yellow veined Carrara marble. So luxe. BUT above all the food is sensational. The Gnocchi in the parmesan basket I order two for myself. That is dangerously good. A simple rocket & parmesan salad is divine. The mushroom parpadelle and there pizzas. I could go on. I order so much as the tastes are so incredible in each bite. You have to go there do believe it. I am going again this week and I haven't been for ages but beware you will think you've had Italian/ Sicilian thats good before but once youve been here nothing will compare. Its the jngredients they are flavoursome and well done seasoned. I felt compelled to write this after dining here for 3 or 4 years now (near when it opened) and its a great experience. I truly reccomend it for family or work gatherings as the tapas style dining is great to share and you wont be disapointed. Its got the full package this place I just wish there was a branch in North London too!!! I will eat here again this week. And the deserts are amazing too as is the coffee. GO THERE!!!!
A. S.
Foods great, prices respectable for central London, but whilst it may suggest it has a tapas style to its eating style it's just not quite relaxed enough. It's central London and I shouldn't be surprised that they want a quick turnaround.
A. S. M.
I went to this restaurant with my daughter for lunch. I saw some bad reviews but we had very good time and people were so friendly and tried to make smile to my daughter. Food was good but also we enjoyed the atmosphere very much :)
T. F.
We arrived following google’s reviews and recommendation.
We were super happy with the staff and the food was delicious.
A very good lunch, we will definitely recommend it.
A. T. -. M.
The frangelico, dark chocolate, lime and raspberry cocktail was the best cocktail I ever had!
T. B.
At picadily circus. Decor is nice. It was crowded. The service was poor. We had to hunt the waiter down a few times for things like cutlery. Food was ok, nothing exceptional for the price. I will not protectively return.
W. K.
Delicious Italian food and reasonably priced.
C. C.
I know it is touristy and I am not supposed to like it but we love it. The veal Milanese is amazing as are all of the shell fish and tuna tartare. It is the best pre theater dinner in London - so fast and efficient.
T. T.
Food was nice, service was haphazard, either had two waiting staff asking for the same order or no staff taking orders at all. Gave our booked table to someone else and didn't believe that we'd booked in even though our name was on the booking sheet. There are so many other places in London, probably won't return.
R. D. r.
I had such a lovely night. Thanks to our personal waiter half Sicilian and half Neapolitan unfortunately I didn't get his name but food and service absolutely awesome. Thank you !!!!
A. M.
Beautiful tapas food - 2 portions per person is about right. Tried the calamari, calzone, calabrese and brushchetta - authentic Italian with fresh ingredients. Wonderful service and great wine selection.
M. C.
Food overall pretty good, I was thinking that it would be an overly expensive tourist trap because of its location but was pleasantly surprised. Staff were attentive, would recommend probably not going on a Saturday lunchtime in the summer though as I think it would be nicer when more relaxed.
M. Z.
Fancy italian place with good service and big choice of food. Right in heart of the piccadilly so if you are in the area, this is a top option to pick.
I. W.
Amazing experience! Amazing food! Amazing staff! Such a vibrant fun atmosphere... can't go wrong with Italian tapas!
L. J.
ravioli w truffle - 5 stars!! ✨ friendly staff but VERY busy.. small dishes like tapas. order 5-6 and share. little pricy but worth a visit, book a table! 🍾👍
Y. C.
Ordered a spghatteti and it was bad. However, the manager replaced a new one immediately with no question asked, he even offered the meal for free! Great hospitality and the second spaghetti was good.
U. L.
Cicchette means small to mid size dishes that can be ordered to be shared for everyone to make up a meal. This restaurant does them really well. Good service, good food, and good atmosphere, must try!
J. F.
Excellent food always busy
B. P.
Great place to have the best italian in town, expect to reserve in busy times or arrive early and you will get a seat. I highly recommend the mozarella in bread and the lobster ravioli.
M. S.
love the food everything in the menu is just perfect.. so far its one of the best Italian restaurants i have been to
H. A.
The food was absolutely delicious, we had the ravioli with ricotta and truffles. It was cooked to perfection and had a creamy, pecorino cheese sauce. The lamb was tender with a wonderful, rich gravy, the rabbit also good and served with sweet onions, so too the pappardelle with porcini. On the downside, the waiter very grandly and rather patronisingly explained 'the concept' of the restaurant - you order several small, seemingly reasonably priced dishes and share. However the portions are tiny and so quite expensive and we had to ask for bread to mop up the delicious juices. The welcome wasn't warm and the waiters were professional but fussy and detached. Although the food was excellent I wouldn't go back, why go somewhere you don't feel welcome?
E. S.
Good Italian dishes in tapas sizes. You order 4 to 5 dishes for 2 people. Can get very busy and noisy during peak hours.
R. F.
Had a wonderful lunch at Cicchetti - An Italian Tapas restaurant. 4 dishes between 2 was enough and were delicious. We had the truffle ravioli, veal, calzone and a selection of seafood followed by some delicious chocolate and vanilla ice-cream. Couldn't fault the service we were well looked after.
K. S.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend. I was a bit skeptical bc the location is so touristy which normally means high prices and subpar food, however I was pleasantly by the delicious food and charming feel. Will go again next time I am in London!
J. L.
Some great stuff and some average. Pecorino/white truffle ravioli was fantastic - among the most delicious pasta I've eaten. Other things felt rushed/lazy, overcooked lamb/oily zucchini/dry prawns/underwhelming pizza/boring, overcooked monkfish. Rib eye was perfection, lobster ravioli fantastic. I'd return for the pecorino ravioli.
S. B.
Absolutely lovely ! Great food, service and atmosphere.
Make sure you book because this place is very popular and I can see why .
Can’t wait to come back .
R. K.
They welcome you like family and treat you as such. Great selection of food and wine for all ages. Super location and very lively. Looking forward to another visit already
N. L.
Excellent food, decently priced wine list given the calibre of restaurant with lovely staff in a cosy modern setting. I would highly recommend to anyone - perfect for client lunches.
