I was in this pizzeria today for the second time, the first time I avoided reviewing because there were some problems, but it would not have been correct to do the review). On the internet it is referred to as a Neapolitan pizzeria, but fortunately it is not exactly like that, (thank god), the pizza is a good mix between the Roman and the Neapolitan one, one flaw, too much oil. Friendly and attentive staff. nice place. prices largely in the chelsea average. recommended

I honestly love the pizzas here! Yhere are so many to choose from and the pizzas are made freshly and brought straight to you! The Chelsea branch is a lovely spot, it gets very busy because of its popularity. That being said there is no booking system so its best to get there at a reasonable time so your time time won't be outrageous.

This is one of my top 3 pizza places in London. Staff is incredibly nice, place is very cute and bigger than it looks (3 levels), really good vibes. The Romagnola pizza was very light and flavorful, loved the pesto al pistachio base, topped with mortadella and creamy burrata. The dough was amazingly fluffy yet a bit crunchy - perfect. We finished the evening with a deliciously creamy homemade tiramisú.

Picante Pizza at 📍 @cinquecentopizzeria Rating: 🙂 Good but wouldn’t go back Thoughts 💭 Ok, so, these guys probably have the best dough in the city (that I have tried so far). The seasoning of it is incredible. There is no need for sauce for the crusts its that good. A true appreciation for it. Unfortunately, let down by the toppings. The tomato base was way to watery so made the base soggy. The cheese was a bit sparse even for Italian standards. The salami was really tasty though.

Exceptional pizza and very authentic to the Neapolitan style. Lovely fresh dough, good range of toppings good drinks and a home made Tiramisu! The service wasn't great on our visit but they were short staffed perhaps. The interior had a pleasant relaxed feel.

One of my favourite Pizzeria here in London! Real Neapolitan Pizza : big, tasty and with high crust. All amazing, from the classic margherita to the Romagnola, which I absolutely suggest to try if you love pistachios (: I had the chance to try also the Tiramisu and it’s really good as well. The place has a very nice atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. They have another one in Notting Hill area as well.

The place is a hidden gem in the heart of Chelsea. Simple tasty authentic food surrounded by Italian atmosphere. Although upstairs area was closed due to COVID we had great time sitting outside. Cannoli was the best I ever tried in my life.

Nice homely atmosphere with friendly staff. The decor gave off a modern Italian vibe with traditional music playing to make you feel at home. The staff were quite friendly and gave a good service. The time I entered it didn't seem many people inside but the staff were hard at work still as they offer delivered foods. Really nice staff but can't say the same about the food. I ordered a starter and a main. The starter was a Ricotta Bruschetta and it had good overall flavors but the toast was burnt round the edges ruining the overall experience. The main was a Burrata and was not up to par either. The crust was nice it had good char and the dough you could tell was well developed and risen. Light and airy. However as you went closer to the middle there was pools of liquid and the mozzarella wasn't boned well with the base and you could tell different distinct layers. The Parmesan was a nice addition but took the show. Before the starter I ordered a Cortado and it had a good balance of sweetness and acidity however the milk foam wasn’t textured how I was hoping it was not as smooth and the foam sat on top rather than being textured Microbubbled milk. They have the right idea and good execution with a real woodfire oven which infuses the pizza with charred flavours and has to be taken out at the right second, so the Burrata could of been better however as they are still in their first months of opening ill be back to see if they hit the right second next time.

Absolutely delicious pizza. If you need attention of any kind, whether it's to put your name on the wait list or other, you need to interrupt and make yourself known otherwise they will ignore you. The wait can be an hour+ as it's a small venue but it is what it is. There are a few other venues around the area you can get a drink at whilst waiting for a call.

This is a really great restaurant with fantastic pizzas. It’s easy for anyone to see.., the restaurant is full of happy diners every day and a constant stream of delivery scooters. Proof is in the pizza! 😀. Good service too…

Great pizza, but quality and service has decreased. I wonder if its because they opened a new venue. We are frequent customers so over the past few months have witnessed a decrease in the quality of the pizza and service. In particular, the dough is a bit thicker and there is less sauce, which makes it dry, unfortunately it means ordering the classic marinara is no longer an option for us. On the service side of things, its just been a bit of a colder treatment with some of the newer staff, not the usual warm welcome we used to get. I really hope these things will be improved!!

Definitely the best napolitean pizza in London. Good ingredients, properly proofed with a nice open crumb unlike 99% of the pizzeria in the city. Only the olive oil could be better but on the overall I would definitely recommend.

I've been consistently ordering from this place since the beginning of the lockdown last March. My order always arrives within 15 minutes! The pizza is delicious and fresh with lots of topping. Comes hot and not soggy. I highly recommend it!

Outstanding pizza, true neapolitan style. For people passionate about crust this cannot be missed. It is a nice looking but very tiny place whose largest table sits 4, hence reserve if you can.

Their ‘Romagnola’ pizza seems to be one of their most popular ones I can understand why 😜 I added some extra burrata cheese on top and I have to say that its creaminess combined with the pesto was just heavenly! 🤩 I could also eat a whole tray of that bruschetta, gorgonzola cheese is one of my favourites! Their apple cake 🍏 just perfectly finished this carb overload 😁 Overall I’m definitely coming back in the future!

Easily the best place in London to grab a true Neapolitan pizza. I’ve been practicing making Neapolitan pizzas for a year on an Ooni and I’m aspiring to make pizzas to this standard. Whilst da Michele and 50 Kalò are still fantastic, Cinquecento has them beat. The ingredients are all DOP, and I have to say it’s some of the best fior di latte I’ve tried. The dough is so light, airy and digestable (just check out the cornicione in my attached pics).

Friendly, chaotic and authentic Neapolitan pizza place. The food is not bad but its slightly lacking that real passion to be a 5 star review. The service is Italian, ie: slow and untogether. Our drinks order of a bottle of wine took forever to come and my arancini arrived before the wine and my date's bowl of olives arrived with the main course - poor. My arancini rice balls lacked seasoning and cheesey ooziness. My date's lasagne was not hot when it was served and had become congealed (pasta and cheese together) as it had been sat out waiting to be brought out. My pizza was good, charred to perfection and the flavours were awesome. Its the pizza that people come here for.

Update: 11 months later, we visited again after lockdown and it is still an amazing place for absolutely delicious pizzas 🍕! Opened recently, it is a small independent pizza place run by 2 Italian friends with delicious food! The atmosphere is cosy and authentic offering really tasty and affordable pizza. The prices are around £10-£15 pounds per pizza and are cooked in a proper pizza oven.

Decors make you feel to an Italian Grandma’s home ready to be cuddled and feed with unique food. Authentic southern Italy dishes, original recipes, differs from all others Italian places. The originality of the menu offers you unique dishes such as HOMEMADE Polpettine (meatballs) to Straccetti (deep fried pizza dough stripes) & deep fried Bruschetta; everything enriched with fresh and tasty rocket, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. You can feel the quality of the ingredients both from simple rocket & tomatoes and the way these appetizers are fried with care: crunchy and light. You wont feel the oily and heaviness of fried food. Pizza unspeakable, the dough is light and tasty, cooked at the right point with a wood fired oven which enriches the taste of a proper pizza. Neapolitan fluffy board, high quality toppings: the tastier tomato sauce ever had. Friendly enviornment, nice, polite and well-trained staff. Niko and Ele on the floor were super welcoming and attentive. Open pizza area allows you to approach the friendly guys behind, you can feel the passion they put on making your pizzas. Vito and Peppe were the guys on duty that night and was lovely asking them curiosity about their job. Careful, they wont share the secret of their marvelleous pizza :) HIGHLY reccomended! Despite the area pricing is fair enough comparing the high quality product they serve you! Following Spritz, Bellini, Romagnola (burrata&mortadella), Calabria(nduja), polpettine with ricotta&nduja, classic polpettine, fried bruschetta, straccetti, frittatina & crocché, Cannolo to finish with style. Their Pizza is Superb! This is possibly the best Neapolitan Pizza in London. All ingredients are imported from Italy, the staff is also all Italian (they were all very friendly and very helpful) and the atmosphere is really cosy and friendly. I had the Pizza Burrata and it was a phenomenal culinary experience. It literally melted in my mouth. The dough was super light, tasty, not too salty and perfectly cooked in a proper wood fire oven. The combination of tomato sauce, burrata and aubergine was surprisingly harmonious. I found myself in the area by chance but this is definitely a Pizzeria worth travelling for and I will definitely be back and take more friends with me. If you like Neapolitan style Pizza, if you liked Pizza Pilgrims, Franco Manca, Michele’s or 50 Kalo you are definitely going to love this one.

Great pizza, one of the best authentic Italian pizza places I have tried in London and definitely worth a visit. The menu is of high quality, they have staples and then also have some pizzas which are more gourmet which I am not normally interested in, however I tried one with burrata, mortadella and pistachio and it was incredible, very rich in flavour. Phenomenal Neapolitan pizza. Having eaten at at least 15 different Neapolitan style pizza places in London this is quite possibly the top of the list. I had a Margherita which was perfectly cooked, with an excellent tomato sauce and a very nice dough. The cheese also was of a decent standard. The service was extremely polite and was absolutely deserving of the service charge (and more). As if that wasn’t enough, a very reasonable cost (£9.50 for the Margherita) compared to other top pizza places in London. The friend I was with was equally impressed. This is a hidden gem and I absolutely expect to become a regular.

A new local discovery, having returned from PUGLIA 6 weeks ago I was so thrilled to see Negramaro Rose on the menu, albeit more expensive than I was paying in Italy Ha Ha// but hey that's London. Disappointing and didn't honour Eat-Out offer - I booked for six of us based on a recommednation and good reviews. The starters were excellent, but expensive and the wine was also pricey for what it was. The pizzas were on a lovely sourdough base, but very sparsley filled for expensive pizzas, resulting in our having to scrape the filling onto half the crust and leave the rest. When we asked for the Eat-Out discount we got various stories about the restaurant having registered but not "heard back from the government" and it was due to start the next day - both nonsense as the registration is instant, takes 5 mins and starts as soon as the place registers. As a a result, we got bills for nearly £50 a head for two courses (just three starters between six people) and wine - not impressed, which is a shame as I like to support local restaurants

Very disappointing. I checked the reviews before ordering and thought it would be amazing. Unfortunately it seems nobody has tried Franco Manca before! Not only FM is 35% cheaper, but there are more ingredients included! £1.50 for some dust of dry oregano is a proper rip off! Pizza paste is good, but the big spongy chunks of courgette topping is unacceptable. It should be thin and roasted! Took parmigiana as a starter. Again unpleasant to the palate big spongy chunks of aubergine and too little cheese. No comparison with Franco Manca again! Easily fixable issues, if the chef is open to criticism...
