Reviews of East Street by Tampopo Fitzrovia

A group of 4 of us went for the bottomless brunch and we absolutely loved it! One of the best priced Bottomless brunches in London!
The staff were so welcoming and friendly, they explained what was included in the brunch and every time we were finished with our drinks they brought us more straight away, we didn’t have to wait!
The food is absolutely delicious! Everything was freshly made and amazing!
Best value for money, delicious food, great atmosphere and brilliant staff!
Thanks for a great time! We’ll definitely be returning!

I've lost count on how many times I've been to this restaurant the past few years.
This place is a gem on the high street.
Excellent and central location, venue layout is mimicking the far east market set up with the neon-bright sign, staff are amazing in their job and very approachable, the food is heaven and to die for, but warning some of them are spicy and the price are decent.
The only thing is it gets really loud but look on the bright side.. The nois can get really loud, however, his only adds to the ambiance of being in a in the far east 😂.
I love this place
D. 1.
Definitely style over substance, and even the style lacked substance. Good points, decent portions, ok price, fun atmosphere, amazing mochi. The negatives, the food was not very tasty or good quality, staff looked burnt out, horrible toilets. Overall, mediocre, but not an evening wrecker.
E.
Food was delicious, service excellent. So many amazing vegan options, clearly marked on the menu. Can't say enough, highly recommend. We had the Phad Thai and Fried Rice entrees, spring roll starters (delicious peanut sauce), and mango sorbet for dessert. YUM!!!

Just had the lunch time sweet photo katsu curry the size was very good for 7.99 it was bigger than an other big name place had a blaie pork belly and oh boy the pork was so soft it melted in my mouth so if you like Thai food than pop in here for a nice lunch or dinner time
A. N.
The food was was fine, but not what I expected, maybe you want to put a little bit more of tamarin instead of salt for pad Thai ????. I was so impressed how you decorated the restaurant with a lot of “shop’s name board” from some streets in Vietnam, collecting a lot of stuffs from Asia countries, but your main decorations based in Vietnam’s style, why did you only have Vietnamese Coffee and spring rolls? Hopefully can come back again and try new foods.
W. R.
A great range of tasty dishes and unexpectedly not shy on the spice which was a pleasant surprise! The service was excellent, and the portions were good value for money. The pad krapow khai is also a must try if you like spicy food.

Ate here twice on my recent trip to london over the span of 4 days…So good the first time i had to go there again. Super nice food, super nice staff and just off Oxford street, doesn’t get better. Vegan and veggie options are amazing!
S. T.
This place has a nice ambience and good music. Although the dumplings looked like they were burnt and not upto the standard, rest of the food was good, specially the udan noodles and thai fried rice. Quantity was also good.
H. S.
Great flavours and high quality! Lovely team. Definitely try the Vietnamese coffee too!

Okay, so my Daughter found this place on Google while searching for somewhere to eat in Central London that served Vegetarian food.
I'm not Vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination but I went along with the family as it was her Birthday, so her choice of Lunch venue.
I'm so happy we went.
I now eat there about once a week when I'm in town, and I pretty much eat the same thing every time, not that everything else isn't delicious, but I can't resist a good Nasigoreng.
All freshly made by the chef's in the open kitchen (you see them make if for you) a good mix of Asian street foods, you'll be sure to find something on the menu that you'll love, The Tiger Beer was cold and the Virgin Cocktails were surprisingly delicious.
If your in town and hungry and need a hot spicy fast delicious food fix and want to just walk up and grab a table without calling ahead then I definitely recommend this place.
The staff are super helpful and welcoming, the place looks like a downtown Phuket hangout and there's even a Large screen showing Anime Cartoons while you eat...and when your ready to pay and go, you just scan the QR code on your table, Apple/Google Pay and walk out the door, easy and quick, no hanging around, well worth a visit.

We had the sharing meat platter for two and a portion of noodles. Followed by churros. Very tasty and reasonably priced. They do add a 10% charge which was fine as the service and food was good.
S. J. T.
I had the Singaporean Curry and it was really good. Enjoyed it a lot and the place has a lovely vibe. Will definitely be back with friends!
S. K.
This place offers good vibes and food! The 2 members of staff who took our orders were super friendly and helpful when we had lots of questions about the menu. The food portions were generous. Would deffo recommend 😊
M. S.
I e walked past this place so many times but never walked in until recently.
Staff are really helpful and the food is great. We ordered the vegan sharing platter, chicken satay, nasi goreng, green curry and the Singaporean curry. All came in reasonable time and portion sizes were pretty decent. Green curry could have done with more chilli but that is a personal preference more than anything.
Will be going back again!
Y. E.
Super cool, industrial, pan-Asian street food. Chicken is halal (except the wings as there’s alcohol in the batter). The Thai curry noodles is exceptional!
S. K.
Really fast, tasty, freindly street food! Student freindly prices and portions. Great flavours, different dishes actually have unique tastes. Cosy street food themed interior, in a surprisingly large restaurant.
N. P.
Great food and service. Reasonably priced.
v. m.
It’s never over in east street. Every time we try new options for our meals. Big portions, nicely prepared and presented. Food is delicious. We tried katsu curry, tofu curry, veg and non veg starter platter, there was a meal with lemon grass which was amazing and of-course nasi goreng. East street is a Must visit.
We go there very regularly and sometimes the serving staff can be a bit rude and that’s why 4 stars and not 5.
B. Y.
Good decoration, friendly staff and tasty food.
K. G.
Vegan friendly! Great Pan-Asian restaurant in central London. My favourite dish is their Vegan Pad.. Very nice service too, Specially Paulo who is quite patient and friendly!!
J. P.
Their Lunchtime boxes are incredible! Great portions for good value, and very quick service. Would recommend to anyone in the local area to try this place out
L. I.
I come here often with friends and I never have a complain. I even organised a company event here and the managers were very useful and friendly.
The staff are always so friendly and make jokes which really is rare but so nice for a London restaurant.
They aesthetics are very vibrant and colourful, the drinks can be a bit too watered down sometimes but not always so I guess it’s just the bartender.
N. M.
Did the bottomless Brunch, food was so much better than most places that offer this, pork belly was so good, as was wings and Katsu.
Gotta want to drink if you do bottomless though, as the cost of the food is not that expensive, so you're either leaving real fuzzy or overpaying, and the staff don't mind helping you make the most of the time limit, would come back even if not boozing, food is that good.
S. S.
I like the informal yet lively atmosphere. Good vegan options.
S. R.
We had the chicken wings and spring rolls for starters. Those were freshly made.
I had the red curry chicken which was mildly spicy and very good.
P. “. K.
I'm pleasantly surprised by this place. The food was superb, I really liked the seaweed in the vegetarian ramen giving the broth a lot of depth. And the Kale & coconut stir fry side dish was just great. Can't fault the service as well, as the staff was really friendly and helpful. One of those places where you feel a good vibe from the start. Definitely coming back to try other vegetarian and vegan dishes. You can definitely tell I liked the food from the last photo ;-)
F. t. L.
You’d expect a pan-Asian restaurant going by the name of East Street to have some sort of an Eastern vibe to it.
What you wouldn’t expect is for it to literally resemble the streets of the East…
With a capacity 230-250, East Street is a spacious and beautifully decked out restaurant with loads of character that serves some really good pan-Asian food.
Although pork and alcohol is available on the menu, the chicken is entirely halal, and cooked in such a way as to ensure zero cross-contamination.
If you've already been, please share your experience below!
M. H.
Delicious food with great service! We did the bottomless brunch and loved it. Victoria was a really attentive and lovely server. Would recommend this place for sure!
W. S.
Solid lunch option if you’re in town and need a quick bite. We had a selection of small plates which were all pretty decent. Friendly service
T. _. G.
Amazing place! Service was great, with the perfect recommandations from my waiter, Sek, especially the Thai Curry noodles, so yummy. I also really felt like travelling somewhere in Asia, decorations are top.
I Definitely recommend this place!
R. L.
Great food, chilled atmosphere with friendly really impressed. I walked round for an hour looking for something that wasn't trying to ruin a good thing and just keep it tasty and simple.
Good prices and never felt rushed. Well worth a visit they even do a vegan menu.
S. M.
What a delightful and refreshing eatery. Food was wonderful. Great service with the waitress remembering our orders perfectly.
J. V.
Easily accessible place for a variety of Asian dishes if you happen to be around Oxford Street or Tottenham Court station. Service is quick and the staff is very kind. And they have a separate veg/vegan menu. But the food isn't that good for the price you pay. Most of the starters are too oily. And mains were bit disappointing. Very noise place...makes you feel like it's a street food joint.
M. L.
A great option for Oxford Street which is nicely off the less than pleasant main drag. Great food, tonnes of options, good prices and excellent staff. Nothing not to like.
J. H.
The beef rendang wasn't very authentic, so I am not rating this place in its main courses, but in their starters. The Chicken Satay is one of the best you'll find in London.
L.
I don’t give 5 stars often at all but this place deserves it. I’ve been here before but not for a while.
2 of us came here on a weekday around 2 pm. Although a late lunch, it wasn’t completely empty but there’s lots of seating.
I love the interior. It’s colourful and covered in lit up street signs for various things.
I had the Nasi Goreng with Prawn £10.95, Smashed Cucumber with sesame soy dressing £2.95 and Homemade Still Lemonade £2.50. They were all delicious. There’s no way I could finish such a huge portion and had to take away the rest but I wanted to keep going on!
The staff were all so nice and friendly, the food came out with good timing, everything was just perfect. Couldn’t have been happier. Can’t wait to come back again.
C. S.
We stumbled on this by accident and felt we needed to share our experience - great menu choice - friendly efficient service - excellent value for money and easy to find and well worth a visit - we’ll be back - two mains two deserts a few drinks all for approx £47 for two - nearest tube Tottenham Court Road and just off Oxford street travelling west - by the way Paulo was fantastic in explaining the menu delivering service and making all customers fell welcome and appreciated throughout our visit Monday 3rd May 2022 we’ll be back
A. M.
Chilled glasses for the drinks. Nice Vietnamese coffee. I've visited this place a number of times and it's always memorable. The dishes are very flavoursome, fresh and the service very quick. Slightly more expensive, but location and environment make up for that.
K. P.
Lovely experience and attentive hosts. The food was lovely. I had the vegetable tempura and a vinaigrette dip along with a sweet tofu chunks for starters followed by Udon noodles as of which were tasty and arrived promptly. They also had a two for one happy hour deal on the cocktails which were fantastic! The atmosphere was chilled and cosy without being claustrophobic. I would definitely go back!
I. S.
Great spot for lunch with excellent selection of vegetarian & vegan dishes.
I had the Jackfruit Rendang from their Express Lunch menu. Really good value for £8.95, as it came with lots of little extras on the plate. The roti slices were amazing!
Friendly and efficient staff with great sense of humour. Buzzing atmosphere.
Looking forward to coming back soon for Vietnamese coffee experience ;)
A. R.
Very great experience. Everyone was very attentive and friendly and food was delicious. Great portions at very reasonable prices for the area! Recommended!
They also have Vegan and Vegetarian menus and asked about allergies. They also said they could adjust spice levels.
V. I.
Great Asian food.
Fast service and prices are logical.
The atmosphere is nice but a bit over noisy.
Generally this place is a good value for money option if you are looking for a quick bite and not very expensive.
I was impressed by the ice cold beer and the very polite service.
Highly recommended! ! ! !
P. A.
Great value for Asian food! Wide range of dishes including: ramen, pad tai, Katsu curry to yaki udon! Very tasty if not the most authentic!
N. H.
Great menu choices of some fab Pan-Asian dishes eg.. nasi goreng, pad Thai, green curry, satay, noodles. Lovely space to eat in. Reminiscent a little of Wagamamas and Busaba Ethai. When we went it was happy hour so we got 2 for 1 on mocktails even. (Providing we both ordered the same one).
The spicy chicken wings starter was a yummy!!!
D. A.
Nice Eastern restaurant, great variety and good prices on food and drinks! My favourites are Chicken Katsu and the Tamarind Duck. The service is faster than in an average place in Soho.
P. “. P. R.
Absolutely love this place, the atmosphere, decor and staff are kool with a k. The food is Astonishing with an A! Had planned a team lunch at Basaba but moving it to here now as they have a full vegan menu so everyone has a wide range of choices on food. They sell a selection of Mocktails and the chicken is halal! Make sure you check it out! They also do a lunchtime special to take away, delicious!
K. D.
Lovely place, very yummi food, quite authentic diversified asian kitchen, very nice staff and amazing cocktails 🤩
j. d.
ordered typical and famous Asian menus, they were not exactly the same as what i had in Asia but alright with the theme of the restaurant
A. M.
Ok good food but staff was bit preoccupied with their own event so was a bit of a let down. Also my friends pad thai was burned. Starters ie cornfritters and wings were really good though
E. G.
Really lovely quality food, reasonably priced. Staff very friendly.
K. M.
Really great place, good service and delicious food with plenty of choice, and not shy on the spice too. Good value and location.
G. O.
Good location behind Primark off Oxford Street. Pleasant interior and nicely cooked food. A good all-round offer. Tasty food and good value.
M. T.
A few friends and I regularly eat here.
The staff are helpful friendly even when they are busy.
My favourite is the vegan pad Thai.
Just the right amount of spice. Really comforting food on a cold winters evening.
And check out the bathroom experience lol !!
N. S.
Delicious Food !
Highly recommend I was looking for a Restaurant near me and I’m glad i found this one
Vegan friendly.
J. P.
MUST VISIT! Highly recommend East Street, it’s my favourite restaurant to eat at in the whole of London. Have visited countless times and never had a bad experience. Excellent food, drinks and service
O. M.
The customers service was amazing, they even had food wars (anime) playing. The food was amazing best east asain food I've ever had. Can't wait to go again
L. T.
Excellent service from the staff. The food is good with generous portion sizes. Highly recommend the Korean wings.
J.
Ordered the sharing platter. The sharing platter was really good but I really expected more servings. The serving was so small I feel like it’s only good for one person. Nonetheless, service was good and price was fair. I would definitely come back 😊
A. P.
Ambience is good, staff are very friendly... They make you feel good... Service is good... Food is okay.. 👌🏻 taste was yummy 😋... Quantity wise as per me needs little improvement... The food is so tasty that the quantity is sufficient only for one person... Jus love it...
A. S.
Awesome place. I was looking for a place with a varied Asian menu, quirky interior and good atmosphere, and this place exceeded our expectations!
The menu is one of the best I've seen with differed Asian cousins, and the food was delicious. The place looks so cool and layed back that you literally feel you are in some Asian street market.
I personally loved the anime playing on!
D. D.
The menu had a good range of dishes. Food was very tasty, the service was great! Will be going again
D. I.
Wonderful food, great portions and fast and efficient service. Probably one of the best Asian restaurants in London. Will be back again for sure
A. M.
Varied pan Asian menu. Enjoyed the corn fritters - generous portion too. Singapore tofu curry quite sweet and mild. Had a bit of food envy for friend's sweet potato katsu.
G.
Wonderful selection of tasty food. Fabbi atmosphere. Excellent friendly staff. Great prices for both wine and food.
B. D.
Nice deco, good tasting food and fast service. Portions could be larger.
Beef Rendang and all chicken dishes are halal.
H. K. S.
Friendly staff, terrific vegan menu and terrific drinks! 10/10 will dine here again. My only complaint is the fact that the facility was very loud as the noises bounced on the walls when people spoke all around the restaurant. Other than that, terrific!
R. S.
Excellent selection of various Asian dishes, good portion sizes and fantastic service! Would come again.
M. R.
Excellent food and varied menu. They do a lunch special which was great value for money. Don’t go if you want a fast lunch though, we waited a long time to get served
A. T.
Beautiful place for a light lunch. Staff members went above and beyond to help me. Beautiful decor and food is outstanding quality
i. a.
The food is fantastic Halal is a big bonus! The staff is really friendly, I Really enjoyed every bit in this Resturant. What a great visit to end my trip to london! 5 Stars
R. K.
We came to have a dinner on Monday eve. It was my friends birthday and we had a very good time! Attentive and helpful staff, especially our waiter Paulo! Nice food, but felt like it was lacking the real pan asian flavours. Decent portions and prices considering this is Central London.
K. D.
The portions are more than reasonable, i had the chicken ramen which was so delicious!
N. B.
Beautifully cooked food, good portions and attentive staff. Would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again.
R. F.
The vegan menu is pretty good.
V. A.
It's a good place for Asian food with sort of a Tokyo look. The food is good but the serving sizes are average and the prices are a bit steep. Good service.
V. B.
At first, from outside, I wasn't so sure about this place but oh boy was I wrong! This restaurant makes you feel like you step into the streets of Asia just to grab a quick and delicious bite. The food is amazing! And their cocktails to die for! Portions are big and prices really reasonable for London. Not to mention they do deliveries and takeaway!
What I really loved about this place is that they combine food from all over Asia and bring the most famous dishes onto their menu. I ordered the Katsu Curry while my friend got a Nasi Goreng. Both of us were surprised by the size of our plates and the taste? Amazing! I never had such a good Katsu Curry in London before!
Definitely coming back here!
C. Y. C.
Excellent selection of various South Asian dishes!
K. V.
Perfect. This restaurant caters exactly to the modern eater. Barely furnished, no nonsense place, non-intimadting sitting for singles and couples yet has enoughspaceto accomodate a few large groups, small coherent menu, responsive and thoughful waiters and great food. I had a ramen noodle and a Viet coffee, and they were both satisfying. It might be a tad costly but i'll put it to its prime location. (And hey.. it has wifi)
v.
One of my favourite restaurants in London ever! It’s so cool inside and I love the fact that they had Pokemon playing in the background 😂 the chicken pad Thai is amazing, best one I’ve ever had. It’s perfect in there and all of the neon lights make it look so cool! Also the happy hour free drink idea is amazing. This place is the best spot ever!
The photo I took doesnt do it justice!
M. D.
The food was amazing and the service extremely fast and friendly. Has lots of vegan options. Would definitely visit again.
K. A.
What a fab place. Price was spot on, food was tasty and catered for vegan and allergies too. It's not wow Asian cuisine but you will pay through the nose for that. For the range of food it really is top dollar and the inspire decor is great. Tucked away just off the main track, it's perfect for a meal and a leisurely stroll down to Oxford Street after. I had the 'vegan platter to share' to start and 'beef rendang' both were really good. The roti was really tasty and nice it's vegan as well. I'd order a basket of that with dippy asia curry sauces if I could! Great place to come with friends and not too noisy like some places, so perfect for a catch up too. My waitor was Ollie and he was fab, very attentive, helpful and polite. If service charges weren't 'already included' I'd have left a good tip. I'll be back!
L. C.
Ambience is good, staff are very friendly... They make you feel good... Service is good... Food is okay.. 👌🏻 taste was yummy 😋... Quantity wise as per me needs little improvement... The food is so tasty that the quantity is sufficient only for one person... Jus love it...
R. H.
Nice food, the design of the place is interesting.
Lots of good options for vegetarian and veggy dishes.
S.
Food was tasty and staff were taking all the precautions for Corona safety measures. This is the steak black bean beef. Delicious.
S. 0.
Great vibe, love the decore, amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my food and would recommend this place to anyone
m. 3.
Really nice Asian restaurant!!
G. K.
At this restaurant you can find all the basic Asian dishes. From curry laksa soup (Malaysian), pad Thai. Big place, ideal for big groups! East street restaurant definitely serves its purpose. It also has a very convenient location as it’s literally on Oxford Street. Reasonable prices, curry laksa was a bit pricey.
E. M.
Really nice ambience, good service and tasty noodles for a reasonable price! Had a Indonesian Noodles (£8.95) and Banana Fritters (£5.95) for dessert
G. L.
Decent asian food near oxford street. The prices are a little steep for the quality but they have a student discount. Head to chinatown for better options.
V. D.
Had a great time here on a Friday evening. The service was very good considering it was a busy Friday night. The food we ordered was fantastic and I especially liked the decor and ambience of the place.
D.
Very friendly staff, food is exquisite, excellent drink selection and waiter asked us to inform him about any allergies we may have, very professional.
A. S.
Awesome find just off of oxford street, I’m doing veganuary and really happy with all the vegan options available! I didn’t even have to ask, the offered a menu straight away! Food, atmosphere and service was amazing.. really recommend
F. S.
Always good food and a good variety! They also do student discount. Support small businesses!
R. S.
Very good. Great vibe. Highly recommend
A. T.
Amazing food one of the best dinners I've had in London. Starter drink and main £20! I just love it. Always coming back. The Nasi Goreng is to die for. So many options on the menu!! And the portions are very generous. A gem in Central London.
A. A.
Try everything in that kitchen espcially the starter platter. it's all very well done Asian food and an amazing value full stop all the starter they have tried have been amazing and the mains great.
M. V.
First time here and the whole staff was great. Friendly and professional. The food was really tasty and there was a very good vibe in the restaurant. I enjoyed the tamarind duck, mochi balls and the asian beers… and need to come back to try more :)
J. S.
Went there yesterday after a couple of years - yes the food is still fantastic! Absolutely out of this world! Highly recommended:) I used to go there regularly when I worked in the area but will definitely make an effort to start visiting more often:) The best restaurant in the area, the food is fresh and absolutely delicious!
J. T.
I was there having dinner at gay pride. They have such a nice atmosphere, even though it is a restaurant everyone was dancing. Efficient stuff.
M. L.
Beautiful food and lovely staff. The price was certainly worth it as the quality of the food is fulfilling. Would certainly recommend if you like Asian food for a nice casual meet-up with someone.
B. F.
Very good variety on the menu at reasonable prices. The street signs and decor are a nice touch.
P. C.
Nice food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Absolutely fabulous place food was awesome the staff were great. Great atmosphere would highly recommend
A. B.
Touch of Singapore's Hawker's Markets in good ol' London with quite authentic and diverse Asian food. The young staff is friendly and committed and the money value is great. Especially love the Streetfood Market atmosphere ... very cool.
N. H.
Incredible service from Victoria !!! And very nice food, we'll come back soon again :)
S. L.
Mercy was an absolute dream. She took care of us from the moment we arrived. She deserves a raise for sure!! Thank you chefs and Mercy 💜
K. P.
Hidden Gem in Oxford Street! Will definitely visit again!
P. G.
We are vegetarian and it was great place to have vegetarian,. They have special menu for veg people, and special for kids, amazing food and good staff and service
Y. C.
Cool place, good food. Chicken is halal. Duck was a tiny bit dry, but all the starters were really good.
E. P.
Would 100% recommend the sticky pork belly to start and then the Tamarind duck for main- they’re my favourites! The passion fruit caipiroska is the best drink in the menu. Paulo and Niki offered brilliant service
M. K.
Great atmosphere, good food. Had the katsu udon soup and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Will definitely come again
S. R.
Great variety of all your favorite Asian foods under one roof. The food is great, staff are friendly and the casual dining setup makes for a great time.
E. K.
Always here for the beef rendang. Tried their other dishes like the massaman and padthai but theyre not as nice nor authentic.
M. H.
We were looking for some food with a difference. This place served great east Asia food with happy and courteous staff. Very enjoyable.
A. P.
The best pan Asian cuisine in London. Must visit for all visiting Oxford Street.
L. C.
I've never had a bad experience, all the food is brilliant the staff are polite energetic and overall really lovely, great decor and informal relaxed atmosphere, I go there all the time
J. B. (. B.
Chicken wings were nice but the Pad Thai looked and smelled weird. Couldn't eat the chicken as it slimey
J. C.
Great place to dinner!!! Everithing was delicious.
R. J.
Excellent little restaurant off Tottenham Court Road. We had the Beef Rendang, Thai Curry Noodles and Pork Gyoza which were great as usual. Would recommend a visit, the manager Paulo will take care of you!
T. F.
I eat here often as it's just across from my workplace. My guy Sek, is always on point when it come to the service. Great staff and the food is top tier!!! Highly recommended!!!!!
W. y. C.
Loved the decor and the staff were friendly but it did feel a bit understaffed. I got the shared Asian platter for starters which was very mediocre and small portioned for 2 people. The duck tamarind main was amazing though, perfectly cooked, crispy skin and really nice sauce.
S. F.
The was and drinks were lovely 😌 I looking forward to go back.
M. K.
Nice trendy place. Great selection of a mixture of Asian/Eastern Asia food. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
L. o. t. T.
This place is ridiculously good and our server Dale was fabulous. Highly recommend. Vegan
J. C.
Decent food, nice atmosphere too!
B. H.
Such a great place. Great food and the staff is truly amazing! They turn around everything in a minute
t. t.
The food was out of this world I died and went to heaven I'm still so full... Gorg
C. P.
Really nice place! The restaurant felt very much like you were in a part of Asia from the airport announcement from Thailand or Malaysia playing in the loo, to the various signs and posters. The staff were very nice and service was speedy although we did go in at a really quiet time for an early dinner. The food choice was great and there was a nice drink selection. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and enjoyed the diversity of the desserts menu. Really happy with the whole service and will definitely eat here again.
G. C.
I have been here many times and the food has always been excellent.
Last night the food and the service was fantastic and where can you get starters, main, desert and a gin & tonic for only £32 ?!
S. D.
The food was quite delicious!
We shared a plate of Korean chicken wings, Balinese pork belly, chicken satay, prawn crackers, chicken krapow with a fried egg, and curry noodle soup. They also had a Thai-style rum and coke in a bucket!
All in all, it was a good experience and it really reminded me of home.
S. J.
Very nice place!! Came here on a week day for lunch and the place was half full. It has a open kitchen and bar and the staff was very quick and nice. Menu is a good size and a nice drink menu as Well. If you were not hungry before you sat down, you would be when you see the other costumers get served. The size of the plate and the collars on the plate will make you mouth drown water. Loved it

Good food, bit slow when it's busy
A. L.
Excellent. The waiter/bartender who served us went beyond his duties and answered all our questions. The food is great, vegetarian and vegan menus are very extensive. Cocktails @ sub £8 with happy hour starting 2pm. Inside decour is cheerful and colorful. They're even showing movies on a wall as a part of their style!
M. j.
Really nice place and good food at good prices.
m. I. l.
Busy, noisy, food is pretty standard.
Good Asian restaurants are staffed and frequented by Asians. There were none here.
A. K.
The food is of good quality and reasonably priced given the location. The decor is definitely unique so might not be to some people's taste. For those seeking halal food, note that only their chicken is Halal and the kitchen is not halal i.e. they serve pork and do not make special arrangements for separating the two.
M. L.
One of my favourite Asian restaurants! The food is delicious with plenty of vegan options - my favourite is the Pad Thai. The atmosphere really adds to the experience - the restaurant is decorated like a street market, with colourful decor.
H. W.
Taste not bad, but not very authentic Asian flavor
C. A.
Range of reasonably priced South East Asian food choices with friendly helpful staff. Good to get Thai options with a bit of a kick. Well made small selection of desserts. Only disappointment was somewhat weak Vietnamese coffee.
M. M.
Different. Nice spicy food. Quite noisy and crowded place - seems like you are on an authentic Asian market street.
B. L.
It's always interesting to read other reviews.
A restaurant has to be clean. Check!
Service has to be on point, and attentive. Check! Check!!!
Most importantly, the food has to be tasty. For a Fusion restaurant, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Chinese, Malaysian and Japanese, VERY tasty ... and will return when next in London.
Check! Check!! Check!!!
Thank you to the staff for an excellent dining experience.
J. C.
Amazing food and fabulous service, would definitely recommend.
J. M.
The cool lighting and interior and really lovely and helpful staff definitely win this place a lot of points. Also veggie, vegan and gluten free options are clearly marked on the pretty diverse menu. However the downside is that there are a lot better pan asian restaurants in the area in terms of taste and quality of food. Worth visiting though, the food isn't bad by any means.
S. A.
Amazing atmosphere looks like ur in Japan 👌
J. t. T.
Everything was really nice. But it's bit over priced in my opinion so I get rid of one star.
B. T.
Very nice design of the restaurant, very nice food and good prices. Staff on the other hand: ordered a drink at the very beginning along with starter and main - never got the drink even after asking staff member "it should be coming soon". Asked for menu and stated that I would like order more food - got menu and was ignored afterwards. At the end whole party of us (10 ppl) paid to didn't hear anything along "thank you" or even "goodbye"... gratuity should be optional in this place.

We stumbled across this restaurant in May 2018, we booked a table as the reviews on TripAdvisor were great, it was fantastic! After frantically searching through facebook to remind us what the restaurant was called, we found it and visited again on Monday 30th December 2019 and it didn't disappoint! Lovely food and a great fun atmosphere. There was 7 of us, visitors from Texas and South Africa that like their spicy food, we did book the table the night before we arrived so we could guarantee a table with there being 7 of us, would definitely 100% recommend, we all loved it, great food and great prices!
S. D.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my visit here as I'm usually very skeptical of restaurants that serve multiple types of Asian food. The food was delicious, arrived quickly and actually had very distinct, authentic flavours. It's not particularly comfortable here but the prices are very reasonable, and this is really more of a place that you stop at for a quick lunch.
E. C.
Really delicious, reasonably priced pan Asian food. Have been here many many times and never had a bad meal. Particularly like the curries and the pad Thai. Highly recommend.
A. B.
Food good excellent staff from Brazil.
C. W.
Very friendly and attentive staff, great food, good prices. Highly recommended!
L. W.
Awesome setup, service and great drink special (2 for 1). Got the salad rolls and chicken wings and they were awesome! Everyone in our party loved their food. Might want to make a reservation as it was busy!
J. B.
My favourite Asian food in soho for reasonable prices.
Cool atmosphere and decor.
Great friendly staff, tonight Gloria served us and she was very pleasent and helpful.

I came here on a recommendation, and would definitely pass East Street on to others as well. East Street offers excellent Pan Asian food - so you get a variety of options - that is well-portioned, promptly served, and tastes fresh and great.
I have no food requirements but came in with a large group that had a vegan and a vegetarian. Everyone found something that worked for them. The drinks selection has many offerings. Overall, you can't go wrong here; and for a very Central London spot with a great ambiance, East Street is excellently priced.
C. G.
I booked a table for 12 here after our booking at Wahaca was cancelled because of their food poisoning outbreak. I don't regret it one bit. Great atmosphere, good food prices and fantastic service. Drinks prices were quite expensive, but made up for by the reasonable prices of the food. Our total bill for 12 came to about £360. There's a 10% service charge added to the bill.
R. J.
Great service and ambience, good food! I ordered their vegan ramen bowl and it was okay, the broth had a very strong nori flavour. But the corn fritters and Thai chicken curry were delicious!
J. W.
Feels like an Asian canteen- mostly huge sharing tables and paper menus and enormous adverts/posters across bright walls. A bit noisy but great fun and great food! The set lunch menu is dead cheap, but it's a great place for sharing a range of dishes with friends or blowing out on smaller plates alone.
P. E.
Enjoyed the Nasi goreng and the Singapore Vermicelli. Quite cheap to make us pay for the sauce that came with the Nasi goreng.
M. I.
There's a member of staff called Joe! He was incredible! Super friendly and informed. Attentive and hard working was the impression I was left with. No wonder it's so busy during the week. The food was really good as well. I think portion sizes were a little small but tasted great! Two thumbs from me!
V. G.
Amazing Pan Asian place. Food and ambience are amazing. Though a bit on the pricey side. But definitely worth it. Portions are large and very tasty. We tried satay chicken, spring rolls and Thai red curry noodles.
J. T.
Nice range of South East Asian dishes cooked well with good flavour. Unfortunately it's not completely authentic and can be pricey. However it's a great place for drinks and small plates to go with it.
M. M.
A cool Asian outlet - ordered the sharing platter for 2 which was really amazing. Good value for money, great taste. Will definitely go back to try the other dishes.
Recommended for small nibbles on a first date!

OMG. My hubby took me here as it near his work. The main restaurant looks great too but as I was in a rush I just opted for the lunch time meal box. It was absolutely delicious. There are only 3 meals to choose from but as each of them offers a choice of rice or noodles this certainly gives them more appeal. I loved it so much I went back again 2 days later. First time I had the Tofu with rice (gorgeous but rather spicy which I liked ut be warned if you need it tame... Ask) the 2nd time I had the sweet potato katsu curry again with rice. This was also nice but I'd say the Tofu was my favourite.
Weird experience in the toilets though. They have a simulated soundtrack of an airport calling passengers to flights... Novel but strange.
Overall great place for takeout (which can be enjoyed in the nearby square outside Facebook offices or for a sit down meal with friends. Menu offers wide a varied range of street food from around the world so something for every palette
K. W.
Unreal food. Mine came with prawns when I asked without, simple mistake that was quickly rectified by one of the staff! This ticked boxes and more for me!!
A. M.
Had a fantastic meal. Mix and match starters and a real good quality Pad Thai. A friend a curry and said it was excellent. The service was really friendly and professional. Going back soon!
B. T.
Came with a group with rather discerning pallets. All but one of us highly enjoyed it. It's not gourmet stuff but they could be selling this stuff at a much higher price point. Great food.
L. F.
Really good food, atmosphere and fast service.
I. A.
The service was awesome, the waitresses were kind in explaining the menu for us as this was our first time trying this kind of food, there was some nice anime displayed on a wall, and the food was good as well. All in all, I would recommend that anyone would try it out.
J. P.
East Street offers solid Thai food in a fun, street food-like setting off a bustling section of Oxford Street, though a few items could be improved. The Vegetarian Tempura is a highlight (£5.95 for roughly six vegetable pieces), but the tofu Sticky "Wings" are a bit unimaginative, consisting of a few pieces of tofu that's simply been fired, nothing else.
For entrees, the Pad Thai comes two ways: regular for £10.95 or "King" for an extra £2. That extra £2 gets you a portion of Pad Thai wrapped in a thin egg omelette, which isn't necessarily bad, but it doesn't bring £2 worth of value to a portion of Pad Thai that is already bordering on expensive. Overall the offerings at East Street are good but not exceptional, though a few dishes are priced as if they were.
Also, the wire chairs in the dining room aren't very well padded and are uncomfortable, so opt for a booth seat if you can.

Around 10 months ago I had an extremely awful experience. I am keeping this here for future reference. But since then, I have had a great service.
Last Experience:
The very last time I went to East Street, the service was fantastic. The food served promptly and fresh. The waitress was also very polite. We had a great dinner!
Recent Experience:
The next time we went to the restaurant, we were greeted nicely and served exceptionally well. The restaurant manager sat with us after our meal and apologised for the way we had been treated on our previous visit (below). He refused to accept payment for the meal we had which was very kind of him. Glad that management took to the matter seriously. 5 stars for the food and for listening!
Past incident: Really disgusted with the condescending and demeaning service we received by the restaurant manager Rachel. We were greeted with a passive aggressive instruction that the back and front of the restaurant were off limits due to limited staff and being full. Shrugging this tone off we proceeded to order and unfortunately I was confused when ordering my noodles. What followed was a debate about how I had specifically ordered the noodles, which I had incorrectly, however this debate was served with a side of frustration topped with bad manners from Rachel. I'm generally lenient when it comes to giving people the benefit of the doubt, but a pattern was truly showing here. There is a way of communicating to customers, even if a genuine mistake had been made, never is there an excuse for poor manners. We felt like we were being judged. At this point I had enough and expressed how unfriendly her attitude was and that her tone was downright condescending since we walked into the restaurant. She apologised and accepted that she was frustrated at which point it was too late. I even told her that I would pay for my mistake but would not accept attitude. The evening had turned into an argument and our appetites ruined. What was supposed to be a wind down dinner at our favourite Pan Asian restaurant turned into a massive disappointment. We left without eating and disgusted. On the way out we discussed the situation with the assistant manager, Asia, whom was unreservedly apologetic and arranged for us to come back another time, since our appetites had been ruined.

Great food and friendly staff. Food is plentiful and delicious. Value for money in the city and a regular place for me when I'm in London. Highly recommend

Good price good taste & good service!!
V. W.
Very decent south east asian food. Don't expect a 100% authentic experience, but most things are variations, but still recognizable.
D. M.
I have eating at this restaurant twice. The menu is very varied catering for all tastes from noodles, rice, broths, meat, vegetarian and even vegan. The food is very good and the atmosphere of the place quite loud. Some tables are individual some are canteen style where you have to share, don't worry it's not as bad as wagamama where you almost always have to share. Although I must say the style is similar to but in many ways different. The service is okay but nothing special, just normal. I have been back a 2nd time like I said in the beginning of this review so yes I would recommend it for a meal with your friends, small or big groups.
B. Z. D.
Excellent food, despite the staff who were a bit confused about the order, but they were nice enough for us to just let it be. The only downside is the overly loud music that is unnecessary and honestly makes me reconsider next visits with friends as you literally cannot hear a word.
M. K.
Good food, great atmosphere.
a. i.
Great place, very clean and cool decor. Plenty of seating and good vibes! Friendly staff and a varied menu... The laksa is really tasty, and the starters were pretty good quality. Disappointing that we were only offered siracha as the chili option but very happy they had ketjap manis! Will be back for more and can highly recommend this place if youre around Soho.
R. G.
Really cool place with great food! Well priced and a cute decor. Sat outside in the sun, would be great if they had more outside seating. It's located off oxford street, on a quite street so it provides a great chilled escape from the busy streets.
b. S.
Great vibe pan asian food well executed, a little noisy so not for a serious chat!
F. R.
The restaurants had a funky Asian vibe and the menu was quite extensive. I have been really impressed by the quality of the food. Overall great experience and good service.
E. A.
It's an experience for street food in London. You can stop in to eat after shopping your life out on oxford street. Tasty, affordable, and quality. Just prepare your mind for a food experience. You would love it. It's THAI!!!!
G. L.
Pretty cool place, wide selection of everything asian, and I mean considerably wider choice than sushi and thai curry. And they don't charge service fee, which is appreciated. 5 stars for that.
A. P.
So delicious, so relaxed and so friendly
Q.
used to be average but they changed their menus now. My only issue is if I order Prawn pad thai, I get like 5 prawns... sigh. Chicken version is the same like 50 gr chicken. Other than that they're fine . Btw interior is very unique. Toilets are a bit dirty but I can live without using it ;)
C. H.
Great Pan Asian street food place to grab lunch. They have a pretty varied menu so there's a good chance you'll find something you'll like. The staff are very quick with the service and friendly. There is also a meal deal option too which includes a starter, main and drink all for under £10.
B. T.
Best Asian food I've ever eaten. Incredible, and very reasonable!
D. J.
Amazing food at great price. I go there very often. Waitresses are very kind and make sure you're happy with everything. Food arrives quickly so you can eat well even on a quick lunch break
M. B.
Quick, friendly service! Tasty food. They had tofu in the vegetarian curry which isn't great, but everything else was spot on! Great decor with a chilled vibe! Loved it.
T. A.
Staff were extremely friendly and service was quick! Generous portions with food and not too pricey. The food that we had was very gingery - not a negative just down to preference
J. T.
As a Singaporean, I thought the selection was quite interesting. It didn't taste like home but all my friends really enjoyed it, which is what matters. Reservations are possible. It's a little hard to catch their attention as they are so busy but they are unfailingly polite.
J. E.
Always tasty, especially the curries. The £5 lunch curry box is great too although I felt the portion of chicken and curry in general was slightly too small. Otherwise very tasty!
H. T.
Staff was nice, food not quite as good, had better food else where.
Pho soup was salty
Thai curry noodles was not that great.
Nasi goreng not very authentic but tasted ok.
Rendeng roti was good.
Music loud.
For a Saturday night its not very busy.
R.
The atmosphere is extremely aesthetically pleasing. When showing the photos to others they couldn't believe this was an indoor restaurant. They also offer a large vegan menu meaning I was spoilt for choice. Very friendly and responsive staff members as well.
J. J. S.
The coconut prawns were really good. The mains were good but not outstanding. Service is quick and and cheerful. The place can be rather loud if you have a pack of people wearing reindeer antlers sitting next to you.
N. V.
fast and tasty. I enjoy the nasi goreng often.
S. L.
Amazing staff, stunning tasty food, good value, spot on service. Xx loved it
L. M.
Great very authentic atmosphere. Feels like you are in Asia and food was nice and reasonably priced. Great vietnamese coffee. Tasted just like in Hanoi.
D. M.
Amazing food, amazing staff. I'm already looking forward to coming back soon.
R. T.
Friendly staff and good value authentic dishes.
T. C.
Really great customer service and quality of food was great, really enjoyed eating here
C. J.
Good, tasty food and quick pleasant service. Tucked away from the main road just enough to be in plain sight by not instantly noticed so quiet meals remain a possibility. Everything you need from a small restaurant, excellent.
R. M.
Found this place by chance whilst wandering down Rathbone Place, Soho (London) in search of a decent lunchtime bite. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but when I inspected the menu by the entrance I knew I had found the right place. The restaurant offers a wide range of small/medium sized bites from all over Asia. From Japan to Papa New Guinea. You could spend the entire day going through their very well priced menu on a culinary journey across the continent.
The setting is canteen style and the interior is decked out with an array of hanging miniature advertising light boxes from across the region. The graphics and typography are very well considered, and to some it might come across as a little cliche, but I found myself endeared to them. There is nothing pretentious about the place. The staff were very chilled and attentive. Upon arriving and being shown to my table I was given a refreshing Red Bush iced tea for free and handed a menu.
The place is run very well and I had my meal, a very tasty Ga Xao Xa Ot (Chicken breast, green peppers and carrots Wok fried with fiery red chillies and lemon grassed, served with streamed Jasmine rice) from Vietnam, within 10 minutes of ordering. Whilst I ate and digested my meal I had a chance to have a good look around and take in the decor. The place was half full but nothing was rushed and or hectic and the vibe was really relaxed. I was only in there for around 30 minutes but the place has really won me over. I will certainly be coming back and can see this as being a good place to go before, during or after a night out in Soho.
P. W.
Food is good and reasonably priced. Embracing the street food style stretches to the seating too, so don't expect high levels of comfort. This place is about quick lunches and good tasty food.
N. A.
Vegan Jackfruit Rendang and other vegan meals. Really delicious and one my favourites when I go shopping on Oxford Street. The staff is amazing!
M. S.
authentic asian food - not sticking to one cuisine, doing them all - and very well. over the last 3 months, this has become one of our favourite casual dining places. quick service and always smiling staff.
p. l.
Impressed by this. The food was different, tasty and well prepared. Also, only place I've ever found Cambodian beer. The interior is amusing in that a lot of money has been spent making it look like a shabby Bangkok cafe.
W. S.
Best food in town! Excellent service and really very kind staff. We have been there since 2012 and its as good as in the beginning. Thanks a lot guys for everything!
F. A. A.
The beef-rendang was a tad too citrusy, the pad krapow (chicken) had a bit too much oyster sauce and the banana fritter came out without caramel sauce as promised on the menu. Nevertheless all were edible and the service was polite and friendly.
A. M.
I had gyoza for a starter and nasi goreng for the main and both were delicious. This place was a pleasant surprise as I don't usually trust pan-Asian restaurants; but the food was good quality, served fast and at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommended.
S. J.
One of the benefits of coming to London is the different food you can try. I was walking past this place on the way to Euston Station when faced with the idea that I may have to eat a scabby sandwich on the train. Faced with the thought I popped in here for a snack instead. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was speedily brought to the table. It was absolutely yummy too. Even the price was reasonable.
Things I would do differently if I was in charge? Bring me beer quicker and turn the volume of your tunes down (decent though they were to my ageing ears).
Would definitely come back.
J. W.
Unbelievably average food for expensive prices. You're paying for the stylish decor, not for the quality of the food.
I have eaten here four times, and each time I've tried to convince myself that I just ordered the wrong thing, but even trying their platter I've realised that, as trendy as the shop looks, the food itself is not very nice at all.
For starters, everything they produce has the same unpleasant, deep-fryer after taste. Secondly, as I've already stated, everything they produce is incredibly average. For example, their Chicken Katsu Curry was nothing more than a cheap, deep fried(!), chicken escalope (the same you'd get in any sandwich shop in London), some reasonably nice rice, a horrible bit of salad, and exactly the same sauce you get at Wasabi (around the corner)... all for £9.50!
A better Chicken Katsu Curry is available at the aforementioned Wasabi for half the price. And it's just around the corner. The only difference is the aesthetics of the restaurant itself.
East Street (the building) LOOKS awesome. It looks cool and modern and interesting. But that's all you're paying for. In other words, if you want good food, go elsewhere. This place makes Wagamama and Yo Sushi! look like a Michelin Star Restaurants.
M. B.
I think this restaurant is fab... It's well hidden, and a rare gem. The food comes from China, and elsewhere in Asia. They have food ranging from no spice to lots of spice. The food is cheap, and if you want to cook some at home they have a range if ingredients for sale as well. Watch out for the airport announcements in the toilets as well.
M. B.
A first time visit, Great food and service reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again.
E.
Tasty, diverse, and pretty authentic pan East Asian cuisine in Fitzrovia/Soho. Been for an Express Lunch: Vietnamese coffee (sweet and assembled at your table), corn fritters (delicious Indonesian snack), and Chicken Hot and Sour Stir Fry (super flavorful with lemongrass, chili, ginger— almost too flavorful!) It’s a bit pricey for my student budget but a well-portioned and worthwhile meal.
They also do £5 take-away boxes at midday: Nasi goreng, chicken wings or mee rebus. The nasi goreng is the best I’ve had in London so far.
M. D.
Bright and modern feeling pan Asian restaurant with friendly and accommodating staff.
At around £-£10 for a main dish with generous portions this is a great value place for London.
Takeaway available too and open from lunchtime.
S. A. S.
Great food and a nice atmosphere! A must go.
I.
Attracts a young crowd, has both vegan and non vegan asian style menus. Good selection of 2 for 1 cocktails 5-7pm.
c. p.
I normally steer well clear of "pan asian" restaurants thinking anywhere that claims to do that many cuisines (Thai, Indian, Chinese etc) can't possible do any of them well. But I was pleasantly surprised by East st. My Thai green curry has fresh kafir lime leaves in it and pea aubergines and when I tried my dining partner's red curry it tasted completely different as opposed to some places which just seem to giant vat of base sauce and slightly later it depending on whats being ordered. The chairs are not that comfy but this isn't somewhere you come to linger, more just to grab a quick meal and proceed on your way!
V. L.
A must after shopping at Primark (right around the corner). Love the set up of Asian Street food. My favorite is the starter platter to share. Lots of veggie options, friendly staff.
J. C.
Nice take on asian food, with a "everywhere we could possibly call asia" type vibe. Food was delivered quickly and was delicious. Prices on a par with other similar places in town, and the decor was very cleverly done. And, for the record, the chairs are very comfortable (unlike another commenter here!)
M. H.
The food was really good when I visited and we had an excellent waiter. I like the feel of the restaurant and it's enough of a walk from Soho that we got a table here even when everywhere else was rammed. I'll definitely be back.
J. L.
Good, reasonably authentic Asian food (for London). One of the best aspects of this place is the variety of foods on offer - it means I can have Thai, one friend has Japanese and another Malaysian.
W. L.
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff + very reasonably priced, tasteful food!
T. V. N.
I'm a native Vietnamese so I decided to gave this restaurant a try. I ordered a BBQ platter, a portion chap-chae (korean styled stirfried beef), a 'ga xe phay' - classic Vietnamese chicken salad, and indonesian stir-fried beef (something gudong, can't remember). Drink was a cocktail made of vodka, lemongrass and lime.
1. Drink: too strong of a cocktail. I would've been fine had they called that pure vodka with a hint of lemongrass and lime, but as a cocktail it shocked my tongue at every sip.
2. Delivery of food: the waiter didn't ask, specify nor deliver the food in any particular order. I expected my order to be either served all at once, or by course, which the BBQ platter and salad should have come first. In reality, we were served with a wrong plate first, instead of the BBQ platter. The two stir-fry beef with rice portions, which are main, were served right later, with the BBQ platter served last, and the chicken salad never delivered, as a result of poor customer service (I'll come back to that later)
3. Quality of food: In fairness, the BBQ platter was delicious, with a very good job on the traditionally grilled meats. But a huge let down was at the main: on the chap-chae, Korean styled stir-fried beef, the beef was off. The distinctively sour and smelly taste of rotten beef could not be hidden. On the other stir fry beef dish, the rice was not properly cooked.
4. Customer service: Staffs were warm and welcoming at the start. But when taking orders, I was surprised to see the waiter not write down my rather long order, nor did he confirm it before turning away. The result was the later forgotten salad and wrong starter. During meals, it felt difficult to attract attention of any waiter, as many were turning their back to dining area.
Credits have to be given to the discounts I received later, as the two items were removed from the bill.
However, with such a quality of service at such pricing, I'm not coming back.
J. M.
These restaurants were set up by two friends after some time out travelling around Asia. They've really tried to recreate an Asian street food experience with the décor and the dishes on offer and have created a fun place to eat. I loved that you could get Thai whisky in a bucket to share with a friend, a very popular drink for travellers, so I'm told. They have a good variety of food on offer and it's all broken down by region too. The chicken katsu curry and Vietnamese spring rolls were the stand out dishes for me. #Irishtini
S. M.
Nice food, great selection and friendly staff. Bases all seem to be veggie which is good if you want to avoid meat or fish (I have a fish allergy and Asian soups with fish bases are rare)
Z. P.
East Street is a great restaurant by Oxford street serving a wide range of dishes from East Asia.
I had GAENG PHED PED YANG as my main, which was a really tasty Thai red curry made with roasted duck and lychees. We also tried the mixed starter and again pretty solid though not as impressive as the main.
I think they do lunch deals so check those out and you must not miss this place if you are a student as you get a massive 25% off on both food and drinks!
L. T. G.
The food was excellent, and came out hot and quickly, which was amazing since i was in a rush, easily my new favourite pan Asian restaurant in London
K. K.
Loved the food! Nice, spicy and full of flavour! Super quick service and very polite and friendly staff! Moderately priced food.
K. S.
It won't become my favourite place but I must admit the food was really delicious and the lady who swapped the younger girl serving us was an absolute 5* host!
L. G.
We had mixed laksa and nasi goreng. Nasi was great, not a typical laksa but tasted pretty good. Service is friendly and quick.
T. F.
Delicious range of authentic tasting SE Asian food and at a reasonable place for a sit down meal in the centre of London. We had a selection of small plates to share.
A. V.
You should all know how to get to sesame street by now! So let me tell you about East street! Great food, Excellent atmosphere and brilliant service! All the flavours of asia under one roof! You will not be disappointed!
P. S.
Forget Waggamama, this is the place to go! The food was incredible and as a vegetarian/ vegan there are so many choices! Kale coconut and chilli stir fry was just devine! Definitely going back!
D. A.
Foods excellent and the cocktails are strong. Would go there for the cocktails alone as they have happy hour every day all day on Tuesdays.
M. F.
One of the best restaurants in London. The Thai curry noodles are one of the greatest meals ever cooked.
M.
Food was really nice. I loved the style of the place
D. B.
Nice atmosphere and decor but very loud music. The food was very average though, don't get why the ratings are so high. Far better and cheaper alternatives around.
L. E.
Completely enjoyed the whole experience here. The sharing platter for our starter was well worth it and everything had attention to detail including the service. I'd recommend and definitely go again.
r. d.
On entering this vibey pan-Asian restaurant you will be hit with the fragrant spiced aroma of a far away place. This is a fun little place with a buzzy warehousey feel, shared seating, and individual tables, always delivering high quality food from an extensive menu. Reasonably priced cocktails, Asian beers, as well as Sangsom/coke buckets to share, promise to take you back to those nights in Thailand!
m. v.
Amaaaazing food. Felt like we were sitting in busy south East Asia. Lots of choices we tried a few things and everything was great. Staff were lovely too.
L. B.
