I came here after a recommendation. My guests and I (3 of us) were told we couldn’t have certain cocktails because of being ‘stretched’ and ‘short staffed’ - despite not many people being in the restaurant. However when the cocktail came it was very tasty. I also ordered a pepperoni pizza which was really yummy. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating, no que at all either.

I've gone here to eat numerous times in the past , and just before their remodel of the restaurant , with family and friends ; and have thoroughly enjoyed our experience each and every time ! The staff and owners are wonderful and attentive , the food it great and authentic Italian cuisine, and reasonably priced especially for the amount of food you get and the high quality. I really liked this place and will come more. The food felt very authentic like I would be somewhere having breakfast in Mediterranean countries so reminded me of holidays. The service was good, plenty of space and very convenient with kids. They have high chairs and the food was good enough for me even to share bits with my baby which is rare case. I’m giving Exo a 3 as the noise is unbelievable and tiring. We asked to change table but were told the noise was the same everywhere. I think it’s quieter at the front. Book and ask for a table at the front!! Little update now we’ve eaten. The pizza was good and enjoyed. The risotto was mediocre as was my salad niçoise. No anchovies , no green beans, sauce was bland, it had about 2 potatoes cut in to mini slices. A bit of a mess really. Disappointing. Also the table we asked to move to is still empty? But our waiter was very sweet, helpful, smiley and worked hard.

I came here to eat alone. First off, I've never been THIS ignored by a waiter in my life. By the time I got a table (different waiter) and served (after staring at everyone, yet a different waiter) I was so hungry. The food took ages. It arrived super hot, and I was so hungry that I decided to burn my tongue and mouth (that hungry). It was good, but took ages and too hot. Better to go with a group to chat to during the wait. Luckily no real damage to the mouth. I still feel a little bit hungry after my main. I was hoping they'd have fruit (something low calorie) for dessert -they don't. I'm going to the Waitrose to hunt fruit. I don't think I'll be any rush back. It was O.....K.... I've had better and worse.

I rarely do reviews but I had to say Thank you Eco for the most beautiful pizza experience last night. I asked for one of the old pizzas no longer on the menu but the chef and waitress went out of thier way to recreate my requested pizza. My takeaway order was ready in minutes. It smelled so delicious , I had to open the box as soon as I got in the car and got the best surprise , not only did it taste better than I remember, they made me a ❤-shaped pizza and not even valentines yet, but it made me really smile ! So the biggest thank you to Eco especially for your service last night . I will be back to eat in very soon💕

Ate here in their first week of opening - we had a pizza, lasagne and each a glass of wine. Pizza was delicious - well cooked and flavoursome, felt very authentic. The lasagne was a good portion, good amount of meat and not too much besciamella sauce. Service was very good, even though the place was busy we were served promptly, very good experience. Thanks!

It’s an Ok place to go in Clapham. The pizza is good but I would not recommend delivery. Last time I ordered shortly before the kitchen closed and the pizza did not only come delivered with a big hole in the middle but also with almost nothing on it as they probably run out of ingredients. Otherwise pizza is always good when eating there. I tried once the Pizza Wrap for lunch with chicken and rocket which was disappointing as they put not rocket but iceberg lettuce on the pizza. So for normal pizza it’s good but I would not recommend to try any specials. Some days ago I wanted to try the Chili Chicken Pasta with zucchini and I didn’t see chicken nor zucchini but mostly tomato sauce and little flakes which could have been chicken? I asked the waitress and she agreed that it’s not what could be expected when reading the menu and replaced it with a pizza which was very kind and highly appreciated! Yet, I would recommend changing either the dish or the menu as it’s completely different than expected.

When my parents came to visit me in London we came here for lunch three days in a row as we enjoyed it so much, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

We visited during the Eat Out To Help Out campaign - it was very busy with a queue outside. We were acknowledged by waiting staff, and told to wait, but weren't given any clue as to how long we would be waiting. Around 15 minutes later they had a table for us, we ordered fairly quickly as the restaurant was very busy and a large group behind us were about to order, so we jumped the gun. The group behind us was 17 strong, I thought there were rules around having groups that big? Within 5 minutes out food arrived. I was shocked at how quick it came out. It tasted OK, the margharita had too much cheese on it though. The scamorza and coppa pizza had pefect cheese amount, but almost no tomato. You could tell they were made in a huge hurry. Our waitress was friendly but clearly absolutely rushed off her feet that she could barely finish any task before she had to start a new one. There was no element of social distancing going on, the big group behind us were always standing up and in the way of the entrance to the building. No one asked them to stick to their area. The tables were all bunched together too, it didn't appear the restaurant had done much in terms of social distancing measures at all. There was a sheet you could fill in with your details of your visit, but no waiting staff were asking people to fill it in. The kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant and had 5 staff in it. If you're a bit wary about where you eat in terms of the measures put in place for covid prevention, I wouldn't recommend this place... All in all, it was an OK experience. Couldn't fault the price at all given the 50% discount. It's a hard one as the restaurant are clearly happy to take as many willing customers as they can in order to make as much money as possible, and I get that. But a few more measures inside to help customers and also alleviate some of the strain on staff wouldn't go amiss.....

Definitely a lovely place. I visit quite often. The food is always super tasty. The service is also good most of the time, staff are friendly but when it's busy it can be difficult to hail a waiter...maybe more staff during busy periods? Other than that, good food, good ambiance, good location and good service. Would recommend!

First of all very lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. We ordered pasta with prawns and sirloin steak. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and beyond reproach. My sirloin was served with red wine and wild mushrooms sauce. The sauce was fantastic as well. The restaurant has an open kitchen and a new trendy decor and I feel that all this adds value to the whole experience. One final mention, although the restaurant was packed we still had full attention from the waiters. I must say that a lot of restaurants need to learn from them. I would definitely recommend a visit.

if you are looking the comments to know “should I choose this place for my meal?” my answer (based on my experience) is YES! The seafood risotto was not cooked well with the rice being a bit hard and too firm to chew properly. It was not enjoyable to eat it. Also there wasn't much seafood in the risotto and the portion was small. It's not worth the £11.95 price tag. However their pizza is quite decent and tasty.

Last week I bought a bread for the first time and asked if it is possible to make it sliced which wasn’t a problem. Lady at the shop sliced it for me without any problem. Bread was that good that I decided to buy a bread only from here. Today when I asked if it is possible to sliced it for me I heard “we do not provide that service”. I needed to leave feeling bit awkward and confused. Bread here is amazing but I will never step into that shop again.

Great venue, atmosphere, staff, music and menu all reasonably priced but 2 things let it down. First is as I went in they were moving around a massive specials board, on which I spotted my fav arrabitiata. I was then told there were no specials. I thought that would be a staple in any italian restaurant. Instead ordered the veggie pizza which sounded great but it was a massive bread base with basically very little on it. Good job I'm not a 'foodie'!

So far so good! Take away ordered within a couple of minutes of arriving at the restaurant. Beer 'while waiting' arrived 30 seconds after ordering. Traditional wood fired oven looks good, as does other people's food! I'll update once I've eaten! 😃 So we've eaten the pizza. A little disappointed with the presentation and the meat on the picante was a little sparse. The garlic pizza bread was good but the roasted potato portion was tiny. Overall still 4 stars but could do better!

Really love this place. Staff are great and food is brilliant, especially the pizzas and the antipasti starter. There always seems to be a queue outside on a Friday or Saturday night, but booking never seems to be a problem. I have taken my younger brother and his friends here as well as my 'older' parents and all seemed to love the food and the atmosphere.

I have been to ECO before more than twice, I went there with my boyfriend for lunch today it was at around 12pm the waiter that greeted us was flustered and ignored us at first, when we asked to be seated he said there was about 45 minutes wait for the food and we said we didn't mind waiting but he carried on saying you can go next door if you want we didn't mind waiting so we said we would stay again. he showed us to a table we didn't like so we said can we sit on another table he carried on saying yes yes okay and just through the menu on the table and said sit where ever you like. I've never been treated like that in any a establishment before he was rude I wanted to leave. I don't know if he was the manager or the owner but he didn't know what customer service was. The food always great. Not a nice man.

The atmosphere is great and the staff are relaxed, friendly and very helpful. There are beautiful aromas coming from the kitchen and we had a wonderful time. The chilli prawn starter is delicious. 3 of us had the same dish spaghetti carbonara. One of us felt it was a little oily but it was more a personal taste as the other two devoured it. So if there is any ti y criticism then if possible less olive oil in that dish..The waiter and manager checked in regularly were terrific about it when we mentioned it. It was no neessary but we appreciated how they even offered to make a new dish. They made us feel great and i would thoroughly recommend a visit. The food is good and the price is very reasonable. Thanks to all the staff. We will come back soon to try some other dishes.

Loved this restaurant before the recent refurbishment, but WOW what a difference! The food if just as amazing but the decor is bright and modern and you are always made to feel so welcome here. Food was nice and the waitress was lovely But the chef was a rude and abnoxious individual! I asked for the ceaser salad minus the anchovies. The salad came presented lovely but with capers that where not presented on the menu. I asked for them to be removed. The waitress was lovely and said yes of course. (I would of just picked them out myself but that was alot of capers) it is an open kitchen so you can see and hear the chefs. He was horrid to the waitress shouting and telling her it's tough that's what the salad comes with she insisted that he change it and he did he even gave me a dirty look! He obviously needs a new job or some training in customer service! Other than the rude chef enjoyed my time it was pleasent and we received free tea as an apology on the waitresses behalf.

So so sorry this review is for restaurant next door and I can’t seem to delete. So I have given stars without eating here as I can’t remove my error I visited today and the food looked beautiful! But oh my god both girls serving food had their hair hanging down. As I stood looking at the pasta dish one with longest hair, lent over to make up a plate of food and her hair was sweeping across the food. The plate she was holding had her hair on it! I was put off, as she seemed comfortable having hair down while working with food. No attempt to put back behind her ear even, no just hanging over and on food. I thought someone is about to be given that food and said, excuse me your hair is in the pasta, the young woman response was rude and she effectively dismissed me as she went to give the food out. I said look your hair is resting on the plate. Why is your hair down. I asked to speak with manager and both young girls said we are in charge. Both had long hair hanging down. I said your hair should be tied back and then I left as I didn’t feel they cared what I thought! So watch who is serving your food or long black hair could land in your mouth!! Yuck yuck

With all of the different venues around Clapham Common you would be forgiven for missing Eco. It’s minimalist exterior (and interior for that matter) makes it easy to walk past and head for more kitschy options in the area but you would be doing yourself a disservice if you do. This is not the best brunch spot in London, or even in South London but it’s pretty good and even better – it’s really affordable! It was a Sunday morning after a rather late night previously and the last thing we wanted was to wait in line. All we wanted were carbs and coffee and somewhere that preferably did not have any noisy children. My friend had seen this place and as it was close to Clapham Common station and didn’t look like there was a wait list we ventured inside. This is a busy location but it never seems hectic like some other places nearby. All of the food is cooked fresh and the breakfast options are very tasty. We ordered two full English breakfasts and had two coffees each and it was just over £25 with service! Unheard of! While we sat there and enjoyed a good chat I noticed other patrons ordering pizzas and while I couldn’t stomach one at the time but they did look absolutely delicious. For a quick brunch in a place that doesn’t make you feel like a sardine and wont break the bank – check out Eco! The staff are lovely and the breakfasts are pretty good.

Recommended this place to my friend as Iv come here on my lunch break and had a lovely meal. This time it was really busy we waited over 45mins for a table, we was the last to get our orders taken, last to get our food and last to leave. Very nice Italian food. VERY reasonably priced. Three of us ate for £45 with included the gratuity. I had the buratta tricolore which was amazing. The atmosphere is nice with a wood-burning oven. The service was quite good. I look forward to going back next time I’m in country. It is right across the street from the tube station (clapham commons I believe) on the Northern line.

Have been there on different occasions in different parts of the restaurant, and the heat is unavoidable. But food is very good, so returning..., although might choose another place next time.

Unfortunately the staff are struggling and the service is getting worse. Busy Sunday this week and they were fighting fire. We waited an hour for the food to be served, at different times, the last items to be delivered being salads. Lot's of focus on people getting there take away with a lot of angry people sitting down to eat waiting to be served. 2 meals were refunded however but it was a ruined evening for us with people waiting whilst others finished there food. When you first walk in the appearance is a clean-cut, new and impressive looking restaurant. As time continues it actually starts to look almost a little 'sterile', but that may be biased from the following average experience we had. We saw two pizzas we wanted off the menu and asked if they would be able to do a 'half-half'. The waitress made it seem like the end of the world was approaching and was almost guilting us for asking. The pizza we shared had a fantastic base, really great, the toppings were standard but overall I'd say it was a good to very good pizza. We also shared the gnocchi which was also fine but lacked some seasoning and 'pizzaz'. Overall, for the price this was an ok little eatery, it's just a shame that it started off well and kept slipping down the ratings as the experience went on.

I am always on the lookout for a good pizza in London, so when I discovered my local restaurant Eco in Clapham was serving sourdough pizza, I decided to try it. The restaurant has a modern style, sleek and clean, but also impersonal. The wood fire oven doesn't help in creating a warm atmosphere. The seats by the front window are quite nice, especially on warm days when the windows are fully open. We skipped starters and desserts and only tried the pizza: a classic margherita and a vegetarian. The dough was nicely risen, the crust was thick and soft, although slightly burned. Overall, a good pizza base, Neapolitan style. The toppings were disappointing: the tomato sauce didn't give much flavour, neither did the mozzarella. The vegetarian pizza was equally lacking of taste. Both pizza were ok and certainly better than any pizza chain offering, but also as good as other pizzerias in London.

My boyfriend and I took some friends visiting London there on their last night here. We shared the large antipasto misto for starter. Like someone else has mentioned, the salami was really good! The starter came with a sauce that was to die for (I even put it on my pizza), lots of flavour! We all had pizza as main (mushroom with truffle oil, calzone, oven charred vegetable and beef polpette (if I'm not mistaken...) and we all agreed they were among the best pizzas we've ever had. They only had two types of beer, where the draft one was said to have run out when we wanted to order a second round, which seemed a bit odd. The only bad thing I have to say is that the person waiting on our table wasn't really up to standard. She wasn't very friendly and she cleaned away the plates before all of us had even finished our meal, so you felt a bit rushed. However, the owner/manager (or whoever he was) was absolutely fantastic and very attentive to everybody! Will definitely go there again, and will certainly recommend it to others as well.
