Incredibly authentic Italian restaurant nestled on the Southgate high street. Was well attended to by staff and immensely impressed by the good service. I had the Scaloppa Milanese, which is basically veal escalope fried in breadcrumbs along with a Napoli spaghetti, and it was delicious. It is deceptively filling! I shared a starter of Garlic Pizza Bread, and I was blown away. It was basically a large garlic cheese and tomato pizza, which could have been a meal of itself, quite a steal to be honest! All in all, the place has a cozy, and inviting atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious Italian food. Great for families, friends, and with good company, what more could you ask for? I'll be coming back!

Came here for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere was lovely with excellent and helpful staff and the food delicious with generous portions. We ate till we were full and also managed to get a take away container for the following day. Which made it great value for money. I was going to give it 4 stars because they ran out of bannoffe pie whilst I was busy drooling over the mouth watering deserts on offer including home made vanilla cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding, however the restaurant was so nice overall they deserve a 5. We will definitely be going back!

A great Italian restaurant on the Southgate high road. The food is generally good, especially like the pizzas - a nice thin, smoky crust with the right amount of topping. The staff are really friendly and provided good service. A good place for small or larger groups and is family- friendly.

I have been going to fantozzi for 10-11 years now. My experiences have always been positive. During Covid 19, the restaurant has taken into consideration social distancing and tables have been distanced. Staff were also wearing masks. Anyways the food was great, the Napoli pizza and Daniela pizza were ordered. I had Napoli. Great pizza but toppings could have been arranged better as some slices were plain. Other than that, I enjoyed my evening. Price of pizza was £9.20 which was a bargain. Desserts looked tempting but the prices were nearly the same amount as a pizza, so we all decided to skip desserts. Overall, a great evening with great food. I would recommend to those who have not been before

I came here with a group of friends for a birthday meal recently. The waiters were very tentative, but lacked a smile. Made me feel a little uncomfortable at times. We all really enjoyed our meals, the food was tasty and everyone was very full up by the end of the night.

This restaurant is really nice. Came here with my family. As a starter we shared a Pavarotti Pizza and a sea food salad. Each one a delight. I ordered the escalope with ham (forgotten its italian name). Served with vegetables and potatoes. All delicious. In the end we were full and enjoyed our meal. The interior design is nice too. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Italian dining at its best right here in Southgate.

A family favourite. Good food. Friendly staff and the owner always says hello. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The staff are never afraid to make recommendations when you can’t decide what to have. Their house red is very good too. Some of their starters are a little dear but portions are big and worth the treat. My last meal was prawns and scallops, followed by prawn and spinach tagliatelle in a white wine sauce and lastly pear tarte tartin.

A classic family Italian place with excellent food and service that makes for returning customers. Everything we had was fantastic - the wine, the sides, the pizza. The older woman at the table next to us told us to try the tiramisu, as she said that's the best she's ever had and is the dish that keeps her coming back to the place regularly. I'm happy to say that the tiramisu was everything she promised! We'll be visiting Fantozzi's again soon.

Three years ago, I gave Fantozzi Southgate a five star review. I went for the first time in a long time yesterday (Sept 2021) and it's even better now than it was then. I've been to this restaurant tens of times and it's always fabulous. The service is absolutely superb, the staff could not be more helpful and attentive, without being intrusive. The menu is large, and everything my friends and I have had there (a lot!) is perfect. SO FRESH, and beautifully cooked and presented. The decor is dark wood and brick, lots of nooks, perfect for an intimate two or a large party. Can get a bit loud if there are a couple of parties on. A local fave. Love it. Go!

Whenever the family feel like a treat or celebration, this is the place to go! Brilliant food with a great friendly atmosphere and even better if you get a table near the pizza makers station at the front! It's one of those places that I always get the same dish time and time again with no slip in quality and am more than pleased by the end of the meal. Only minor gripe is that service can be slow on some nights and you may feel ignored but usually because they're busy, which is a good thing! Can wholeheartedly recommend Fantozzi!

Great local in Southgate, was very impressed with the food from starters, mains and dessert. All the food was tasty, fresh and in my opinion very authentic. Many of the staff were Italian which shouldn't make a difference but added to the appeal. Its a large restaurant so perfect for big groups and occasions. I can tell you all take pride your work.the quality of the food, and wine, was second to none. The only small reservation was the price. I would eat there X10 more if the menu costs 10-15% less. The wine prices are, personally,, a touch too high a price point per glass. Otherwise, Kudos .

This is my favourite Italian! Amazingly helpful staff and the most delicious food going. I remember going there a few years ago when my baby was newborn and wouldn't stop crying. The restaurant was pretty quiet so one of the waitresses decided to hold her and settle her down whilst I ate my dinner. Forever grateful!

My pizza was 8/10, it was really good however, staff do not crack a smile. I know how customer service should be as I’ve worked as a waitress and I do not feel like this place should be cheeky enough to have “service charge” in place. My husband had to say bye to the staff when we was leaving the restaurant when really they should be greeting us considering we paid service charge even though service was terrible. I expected good service not excellent but decent. We were more friendly to staff than how they were with us. I would get a takeaway from here as the food is amazing but it’s not worth eating in!!!!

Awesome evening celebrating a good friends birthday party. As always Alessandro and his wonderful staff looked after us again as they have been doing for us for the past 23 years that I've been coming here. Nice restaurant, good for lunch and dinner, decent size place. Food is delicious. Pizzas are a big, pasta dishes could stand to be slightly bigger in portion size, but would be enough if ordering starters. During peak hours expect to get brushed over and forgotten by staff, whilst I appreciate peak times are hectic, this does not warrant forgetting customers. Lesson learned - not to go with hungry kids during busier hours. Orders can sometimes get mixed up. Slightly more in price in comparison to other Italian eateries.

Myself and family have eaten here before. Last night we took our son this for his 25th. Very disappointed!! Staff were rude and in a rush to clear the table and get us out. I had the lamb shank hubby had the t bone steak both very fatty. Fantozzi remember service with a smile your staff need to cheer up and provide a very pleasing previous experience. Sorry for the bad review but this was awful and spoilt our special occasion with our son.

I ordered lasagna (kids portion) for my daughters to share and manzo for me. I forgot to request the meat well done. I distractedly accepted it when I ordered. I never eat "fresh meat" but when I tested it, it was amazing! I made such a happy face that my two daughters wanted to try. I won't add more but I can tell you that my two daughters eat all my meat and I ended up eating the lasagna!

Vibrant environment with all the joviality of an Italian place, especially during birthday's party when the management sings the typical Italian song. Good pizza, cooked in a wood fired oven. Absolutely amazing pizza every time I visit. The service is very friendly, you feel like part of the family when you visit. The pizza is large enough to share, but cheap enough everyone always seems to get their own. Good place and good enough food however I didn't appreciate the fact the the waiter lied about reserved tables which weren't. We stayed and ate until the restaurant nearly closed and the tables were not reserved and when I confronted the weighted, he said his boss instructed him to say that. There were 5 of us squash on square table. I wanted a round table so that we were more comfortable with my grandson. It didn't happen. Otherwise I have been coming here for years. Not sure if i would recommend.

This restaurant has been around for years.. A local for all the Mediterranean community in and around Southgate. May have celebrated birthdays here and still corm back 20 years later. Yes it's not fine dining.. The seating is not comfy. But it's great for groups and families. It justifys it price because it has been established and its clientele know what they get so continue to come back for me. The food is fresh but on the bland side. Better Italian restaurants with a more affordable menu are in and around these areas but this place has so much nostalgia within its community and its emphasis on family always brings people back for more.

Yooo this place is just absolutely spectacular. Calamari was on point! None of those frozen squid with heaps amount of batter. This was perfect crispy batter but a thin coat. Carbonara was good, great fresh pasta cooked “al dente” which was just sublime. Wouldn’t say it’s the best, but for what it was it filled me up and I was happy! Now the pizza.........pshhhtttt what can I say!? I didn’t order it so I took a slice from my mates plate. But my god how I regretted not ordering pizza. The base was perfect salami was perfect, cheese perfect and what topped it was cut chillis! Like “Mama Mia” I was blown away. P.s eat the pizza while it’s still warm. If you leave it too late and becomes room temperature, it gets a bit too dry and that’s because it’s a Italian base pizza. (Only if you’re not picky) By the way the staff where great! Catered to my needs even for my dessert where I ordered pannacotta with raspberries rather than the mango dressing.

I had scallops to start with, they were served in the shell swimming in butter and over cooked. for my main I chose lobster linguini, the lobster was also overcooked and it came with octopus tentacles and clams of which there was no mention on the menu??? I also bit down on a hard piece of lobster cartilage which wasn't very pleasant. The decor and staff were wonderful, it's a shame the food let them down. Out of a group of six only one person enjoyed their meal. I will not visit Fantozzi again :(

This restaurant is a lovely family run pizzeria. It is no accident that there are two other pizza restaurants on the same street that are virtually empty. Fantozzi is one of the best italian I've had in London! It has an extensive menu, from pizza to pasta to meat: and they are all good. The specials are yummy (once I've had some delicious pasta with deer mince meat (ragù di cervo)). The desserts are great too (great pannacotta, tiramisù and tarte tatin). In addition to this, the service is great and friendly! They are often busy so if you're going in the weekend pop them a call to book. Highly recommended!
