I become invited to a birthday lunch and I was amazed by way of the ecosystem, the food, and the service. We ordered 2 salads and the biggest burger in London which came with a candle and we sang "glad birthday" to our friend. This is a huge piece of culinary excellence. 6 people couldn't manipulate it. Barry changed into the individual searching after us and he did manner higher than the common service you commonly get at a restaurant from this class. Very well mannered and friendly. Attentive and useful. Definitely endorse

Florentine is an all-day dining brasserie-style restaurant in Waterloo and boy is it a top restaurant well worth your time. With a pan-European menu, it has slick interiors in low-lit settings that provides an intimate atmosphere. It's comfy as heck and great for groups as well as loved-up pairs. The food was fantastic. The rib-eye steak was meat perfection - juicy and just the way I like it. The tiramisu and Venetian doughnuts were also a sweet success. The outstanding item on the menu was the ravioli. It's just smothered in this incredibly buttery sauce with shavings of truffles that took it up a level. Noise level is generally kept to a minimum which allows for meaningful conversations to flow. Service was fabulous too. Receptionists are so welcoming and waiters are very attentive making sure your glass is always full. It's perfect for dates or to celebrate a special occasion (think birthdays). You won't regret coming to Florentine.

Cozy place and excellent choice for brunch really tasty dishes. However, a bit overpriced, they should include the bread with some of their starters and offer tap water instead of charging extra bottles

An eggsperience for anyone (and 3 friends) who love a tasty rich (massive) fried osterich egg although they will scramble it for you if preferred. Plus the rest of the breakfast bacon, sausage, tomato, mushroom and beans were really good as well. Don't forget to pre order your egg.

Excellent service and food. We had the Herculean burger and it was perfect for 4 people. Staff are super friendly as well. Only comment is if you want to have the Côte de boeuf, you'd have to pre-order it prior to your arrival.

Ostrich egg English breakfast is a must-have! Order fried instead of scrambled so you can take photo of the giant yolk. Pre-order recommendrd. Very friendly staff.

I took my family here for Mother’s Day roast. Ambience and setting were lovely, staff were nice and helpful as usual. I had the roast beef which was very tender, vegetables were just right and the Yorkshire pudding was light and crispy. Everyone enjoyed their meal. All in all, a pleasant Sunday’s lunch.

Lovely setting, lovely staff. But a little disappointed since I was excited to go having seen so many good reviews. The beef itself was lovely, flavoured with rosemary, thick and tender. But there was something about the yorkshire pudding (I think) that left a funny greasy (like egg yolk) aftertaste in the mouth. Homemade lemonade was nice and sour to cleanse the palate.

Booked months in advance and took 20 min to find the reservation. Honestly would have been 4 stars but we pretty much had to beg our server for water and other drinks 6 times before taking our cups to the bar. Food was ok, really more of a wow factor then taste but the service was so bad I would not go back.

Great service, excellent food however if your going for the ostrich egg breakfast do bring at least four people for it is a large breakfast. It's too much and wasteful for just two. They will however let you see and hold the ostrich egg! It's pretty cool and heavy!

An absolute marvel of a place - friendly staff, delicious food and quality service. It is connected to the Park Plaza Waterloo Hotel by a glamorous lobby with comfortable couches and occasional live music. Its bar is irreproachable, though the prices are disproportionately high compared to the restaurant. I recommend the Tomahawk to share with a friend, and the Affogato as a dessert.

This is an outstanding restaurant. A hidden gem! Great tasting food, fantastic staff, it was all around a pleasant experience. I want to say a special thanks to the manager who made our last meal in London a memorable one. I ordered eggs Florentine and it was tasty but nothing more than what I've had at other breakfast places and for much cheaper. Tea was just a tea bag in a pot.

The bar is full of atmosphere and charm. The bar staff headed up by the effervescent Mario, anticipate their customers desires and never fail to deliver . For these reasons I have chosen to make The Florentine my regular and bar of choice in that area and it’s an area bursting full of bars so no mean feat to constantly deliver exemplary service every time . Plus don’t miss the live music on a Friday and Saturday night !

Went to this place after watching a youtube video of a giant burger they have. I ordered the Steak and Chips and I had high expectations for it. The steak was okay-ish, but had a lot of fat on it. It also was a bit of soggy. The chips was good though. For £22 I expected more. At least an included salad. After eating and during the waiters rushed to remove our plates, even the salt & pepper shakers went off quickly. I would want the waitress to give us more time to enjoy our time there, but we felt we were rushed out. Bathroom was clean and nice, no issues there. We got asked if we wanted water, sure, but later found out we got charged £3.50 for it. Seems to be normal in the business, but I would like the price to be mentioned. Overall the place is a cozy, warm place and has a good atmosphere.

We've visited lots of the other branches in this chain and wanted to give the newest a go. It has the same casual, relaxed atmosphere as the others and the same warm welcome. The original Hawksmoor, look a british pub. Great steaks, great sides, reasonable wines. No complaints

The chicken was alright, though not evenly cooked so the white meat was slightly dry. The skin was sticky and not crisp. The sauce was good, if a little heavy. Service was stellar. The price was high and not representative of the food - 15 for a half chicken. Unimpressed, but not angry. Skipped dessert and likely wont return.

When I checked in to the hotel and needed to unwind I walked into the Florentine restaurant. I was greeted by Michele at the bar who was outstandingly helpful and was great to speak with. He understood the drinks I wanted and knew exactly how to prepare them without measuring. Not only was he attentive to me but was able to multitask and take care of the other patrons. Michele is an excellent bartender with exceptional customer service skills. I highly recommend the Florentine but I absolutely urge people to be helped by Michele who will take care of you. I have been staying at the hotel for 3 out of 6 days and been at the Florentine every night so far and Michele has been there like a fixture always ready to quench my alcoholic needs. If you are in the area and need some drinks or food visit the Florentine and ask for Michele he will make great drinks in a flash and take great care of you!

Wonderful food at reasonable prices! We were looking for something to eat better than fast food or pub grub, but nothing too wildly expensive and this was perfect. I had the chicken and avocado salad with bread on the side and my fiancé had the full English breakfast. Both were delicious! The staff was very attentive and courteous, we will likely be going back tomorrow morning for their Sunday roast!

Try the mushroom ricotta flatbread. Absolutely delectable. Also, walked into in late Saturday evening to receive complementary prosecco. The service is great and the staff reception is splendid! Keep up the remarkable work, the experience leaves me longing to return.

The service makes you perfectly happy, the managers on their own welcome you and are not to pity to bring you your glass of wine. Just can recommend the ostrich egg experience, but be at least three of you, otherwise you regrett more than you enjoy the extraordinary good taste of this let's call it English breakfast!

All four of us thought their food was great, with one 'this is the best lasagne I've ever had' comment. Atmosphere was perfect - upmarket yet relaxed. The only reason it isn't a five star review is that our initial waiter - who was brilliant and extremely attentive - finished his shift when we received our mains. The new waiter that took over could have paid a little more attention to us. With that said, we put this down to him taking over our table half way through our dining experience. Overall, after a long weekend in London, this was the perfect, comforting end we needed before beginning the journey home.

Amazing breakfast, my scrambled eggs were so rich and creamy and reddish, which suggest it’s good quality eggs, everything else was also well done (other than my fried egg which was over). However THE BEST part is the dessert, not an extensive menu but the Venetian doughnuts were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, so light and fluffy not greasy at all and the masala cream inside was super delicious, the blueberry cheesecake was also great. Defo would go back even just for those doughnuts 🍩

We have lived in England for over a year and this is by FAR the BEST breakfast we've had in a restaurant. It was even after the main breakfast menu was over for the day! We all ordered some version of eggs on toast and a side of bacon (streaky bacon aka the American style). We all were VERY satisfied with the flavour and portion size. Didn't live up to my expectations after reading so many good reviews. I enjoyed my roast chicken but at £17 was only just value for money. Another guest at my table had the beef and said it was undercooked and a poor piece of meat. Other diners had overcooked lasagne and underwhelming tagliatelle.
