Popped in for a late dinner. Staff were friendly & recommended the peppers for a starter, loved the taste of them with the crushed salt - tastier than olives. Ordered the Beef pizza & the Dirty Vegan. Both cooked nice, sour dough base was excellent. I loved the Beef pizza with the ground mince. For dessert we had the vegan coconut & the very rich vegan chocolate ice cream. Also the brownie with the recommended Milk ice cream (like the Mini Milk lollies), all made in house. Definitely worth a visit, especially in groups.

Delicious pizza. Been here 3 times and each time flavours and freshness of ingredients have been consistent. Tomato sauce is both flavourful and plentiful. The sourdough base is thin and crispy. Go for the margherita with added garlic and chilli's, you won't regret it.

My friend took me to this little gem in crystal palace after a spntaniouse decision to have some dinner on a Thursday night. Call me boring, but I always have four cheeses when I have pizza and this place didn't have that which was a massive let down. However, I their beef pizza is delicious, and amazingly delicious when it's cold the next day. Which they were close to where I live. The venue was spacious and the Rabbitt is heavily implied everywhere, then again, who dislike rabbits? The staff was brilliant and attentive. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO NOT LEAVING THE PLACE WITHOUT HAVING THEIR GELATO. try the dark chocolate gelato!!! Hmmmmmm We will be back

Very tasty, creative pizzas with nice, thin sourdough pizza bases. Friendly staff. Drinks menu is a bit different with some fun cocktails, original beers and decent wine on offer. Decent value too. Will return!

Excellent pizza, great ingredients, with some hugely creative options. I was a bit grumpy and frustrated when we came here. We'd been looking for a quiet pint and a nice bite following a walk in the sunshine, and discovering all the pubs nearby didn't open their kitchens until 5. I wasn't expecting to be wowed, I was just hungry. To cut a long story short the pizzas are first rate: lovely things done with delicious ingredients. Maybe ideally I might have gone for a slightly crispier Napolitan style base but it's certainly excellent pizza: really well executed. But what's really amazing are their slightly off-the-wall options. I would never in a hundred years thought that pork rillette, peas and gooseberry would go together, let alone on a pizza. I usually find myself disappointed by white pizzas, but this was subtle and uplifting. And the tomato-based option with rhubarb and spicy goats cheese? Blew me away. I was just looking for fuel frankly and this place really impressed me. Hats off to them!

There are so many pizza places on the triangle but I wouldn’t consider going to any of them but this one! It’s lovely food, good vibes, and very friendly service. I’ve lived in Italy for a year (got so fas!) and am a very fussy pizza enthusiast but this place gets my vote! PS: My Soviet mother also loves it but calls it 4 Rabbits, because according to her shrewd mentality 400 is ‘just too many’.. Fair! 😂

Had dinner here with my family this evening, and every single pizza we ordered was absolutely fantastic! We ordered the goat special and anchovie as gluten free, and the red, feta, and rhubarb as regular bases. All of the pizzas were fresh, very tasty, with bold and delectable flavours across the board. TL;DR amazing service, food and atmosphere! Booked dinner for 12 this Saturday just gone and it's been the smoothest group dining experience I've had for a long time. We had a seat with a view of the gorgeous stone oven, feeling the warmth as we chose from a unique and interesting drinks menu. Complimentary olives as the pizza was going to take longer for a group of our size, but they turned everything around in great time! Food tasted amazing, full of flavour and the habanero chilli oil was a great touch for those that wanted an extra kick. Service was outstanding, from drinks to food and throughout the meal. The lovely man serving us even helped with bar recommendations for our evening plans, which turned out to be an incredible night Will definitely be back when I'm next in the area, thank you!

Excellent pizza! Interesting combination of ingredients like courgettes and aubergine etc. Seating aren't very comfortable and tables are quite small but it gives some cosiness. If you are after some unusual pizza, this is the place you want to check out! Highly recommended!

Great vegan pizza (my gf didn't like the sausage [said it was cold and mushy], but I loved it), and great garlic pizza bread. There's a 10% "discretionary" service charge. Which is weird, as discretionary literally means "optional". So there's a 10% tip applied to your bill, and if you didn't think the service was great, then you have to be "that person", and ask for it to be removed from the bill. The service was adequate, but this kind of peer pressure mentality, on what already amounts to be a considered purchase, is a little distasteful.

The pizza is really, really good! I had a classic margarita and took the basil dip, the crust is soft and crunchy on the outside and the topping is simple but delicious, my boyfriend had anchovies which he found to be slightly too salty. Overall great pizza and filling!

Visited this place with a friend who is a local resident and I have to say it didn't disappoint in the slightest. The pizza was great, good selection of craft beers as well as lovely atmosphere. Really good sourdough pizza and craft beers. If you like Franco Manca style pizza then you will love this place. On the plus side menu options are more creative than the previously mentioned establishment and they have really good specials. They serve craft beers from local area that are really good too and staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend for a good pizza. Brownie plus sorbet for desert is pretty tasty too!

The best sourdough pizza in the South of London. The pizzas are a great size and if you eat in the restaurant, there's a great range of beers on offer as well as the best Gelupo ice-cream. Be sure to visit if you're in Crystal Palace or Nunhead.

Screams artisan and hipster with a passion for fresh ingredients but it just wasn’t. You’d get a better pizza at pizza express and they charge less. Wouldn’t hold your breath.

I had travelled from Wolverhampton to pick up a motorcycle and meet with a friend. Chanced on 400 Rabbits for lunch. I love pizza, make my own and have eaten pizza in Italy, France, Brooklyn USA and many other countries - this was the best pizza I have ever found and eaten in the UK, just fantastic and truly authentic and cooked as all pizzas should be, in a wood fired oven. The craft beer wasn't bad either. Very highly recommended. I only wish they could deliver to me at home.

The toppings are not what I would call 'traditional', but this is what makes the pizzas stand out. They are very tasty and offer veggie and vegan friendly options. Good pizza but slightly odd toppings. The base is thin and crisp and well flavoured but sometimes you don't want the latest trendy topping but a classic. The side dishes are exceptional and the ice cream is not to be missed. They have a good beer selection and I would recommend the wine. They offer take away and if I lived closer I would probably go too often for my own good!

The food as always was great from here but i was not impressed with the delivery service from deliveroo. They took 40mins to deliver to us when we are only a 10min drive from the restaurant. @400 Rabbits you need to put pressure on deliveroo to do better to do more justice to your amazing pizzas. Next time we will collect in person. Also can you offer your appetizers for delivery we really missed being able to get some beer sticks and peppers!

I have been ordering these pizzas as takeaways for a while and being that I live locally have walked passed this place many times. I have even sat in and waited for a takeaway and enjoyed some of their craft beer selections. But this was the first time I sat down to eat here. Once again, I wasn't disappointed by the pizza and it is still one of my favourites. Staff were attentive and polite, and quick to take our order. It is a relaxed vibe with some chilled out music playing and a bright feel to the place. I personally love the selection of craft beers on offer which are well selected mix of brewers in London and beyond. But there are number of other soft drink/alcoholic drinks choices. They have perfected half a dozen or so pizzas with unique ingredients that are tasty and haven't gone for too many choices. I went for the Chorizo pizza which is always good. They also have some lovely dips that compliment and ideal - my favourite being the Chipotle and Sour Cream dip. The food came out quick and was tasty as always from the in house wood fired pizza oven. The only thing extra that would have been nice was to have been asked how the meal was and if we needed anything else, to have had the same server the whole time (we had 3 different servers) and also not having to get up and ask for the bill. However, the staff were probably giving us time to chat. These were all minor things. Overall, the staff were friendly and happy and the atmosphere was good! I would say this is the best pizza I have tasted in Crystal Palace area, and perhaps beyond. :)

Went yesterday and was seated quickly - a really nicely designed room and varied menus. Ordered a Kernel IPA and a Anchovy pizza. Had a little bit of a mishap as our pizzas arrived at the table, with both a spilled pint and an incorrect pizza, but these issues were dealt with SO swiftly and attentively, despite the place being super busy. Have to stress these were genuine mistakes and didn't seem to be indicative of how the place operates - these things just happen sometimes! All the staff we spoke to were great and the pizza and beer was top tier stuff, really delicious. Can't recommend this place enough really and will definitely be back!

Quite simply the best pizza in South East London! They also offer a fab gluten free base which has the most genuine 'pizza dough' texture I have ever come across. Good sized pizzas for an individual- I mean you could share...but why would you want to? Lovely staff and very simple/ inviting decor makes this the perfect spot for grabbing something yummy to eat.

The service at 400 Rabbits in Crystal Palace was absolutely superb. We went in on the hottest day in the year, and the staff were still happy and welcoming despite the incredible heat outside. I had a salad which was fine; my friends had pizzas which they enjoyed. But overall it was the service, from start to finish that made our lunch such a lovely affair. It's such a pleasure to actually have a funny, light-hearted conversation with restaurant staff who also happily recommended items from the menu, rather than unhappy faces who refuse to share an opinion or suggestion as to what to eat. I have just moved to the Crystal Palace area and I know that this is going to be one of my regulars. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly waiter. I like how laid back but attentive they are. My pizza was lovely, crust the perfect thickness. They also serve Gelupo ice cream here which is a bonus. All for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Had a bit of a negative experience of this place when ordering through Deliveroo but recently went in for dinner and i wasn't disappointed! The staff are lovely and very friendly and the place is clean, fresh and has a nice vibe. I'm gluten free and very rarely find decent GF pizza but this place is different, the bases are really very good... I just wish they sold the bases to take away! Pretty decent craft beer selection as well but sadly no gluten free option there (which I hope they might change!). The chilli oil is lovely and available to purchase. Would definitely recommend for any pizza lover but definitely those who are gluten free!

I can't tell the difference between the sourdough pizza places. This is one of them, and the pizzas are delicious. The bonus is that they also serve proper ice cream - to eat in or take away. The waiters don't write down your order and always have to come back to check they remembered.

I went for the second time last Sunday and I'm convinced this is the best sourdough pizza in South London! The base is chewy, but not too much, and crispy at the same time! The toppings are really high quality (pig cheeks!!) and comes in unique combination. Service is a bit slow compare to your standard pizzeria but at least you don't feel like you have to rush to eat and leave (Franco Manca!). The service has been excellent both times I have been. The beer selection is excellent, the wines are pretty good too even if they are served in tumbler glasses, which is one of my pet hate... I won't even start on the gelato, go try it. The coffee is excellent and the barista is more than happy to make it exactly how you want it. Great place, I can't wait to go back.

Had a lovely dinner here recently. The burrata salad was a personal fav, and the pizzas have a lovely sourdough base that isn't too chewy or sloppy. I found the gelato a little overpriced; I'd say you only really get a tablespoon per serving and just tasted ok, but great meal over all. Good staff too, I witnessed the staff putting up with some very annoying customers and they were very patient with them!

It's great that you can now order gluten free via Deliveroo BUT you must indicate which is which on the boxes. Just ordered four pizzas and two were gluten free - one was obviously gluten free as it was a basic cheese and tomato but the other was not so obvious. I think if they are costing an extra £2 and are chosen for health reasons then it's not unreasonable to ask that gluten free be clearly indicated on the box. Please reply to this review.

Went there for early dinner with my 3 yr old son. Ordered a pizza with goats cheese and pequillo peppers however there was barely any goats cheese on it. Toppings were generally pretty measly and my son's margharita was mostly tomato sauce and only a few blobs of mozzarella. Needless to say, sauce was everywhere on the table and his face but he seemed to enjoy it. I don't "get" the whole sourdough base thing because it tasted exactly the same as what you'd get from a thin base at an authentic Italian pizzeria. Didn't do any of the "craft" (annoying and pretentious hipster term) beers they have an array of, but the bottled lemonade was nice. Ice cream was tasty but way overpriced (£4) for two small scoops in a paper tub. For this kind of price, the least you'd expect is two sizeable dollops in a proper bowl! 10% service charge is a bit rich, considering it was just myself and a small child when there were hardly any people there. They should only charge service for tables of 4 or more or even better, let people decide whether they want to leave a tip and how much it should be. All in all, nice enough food, interesting toppings but not enough of them and a bit overpriced for what we got.

Not only does the restaurant offer pizzas of haute-qualité, but the staff, fellow customers, and musical-playlists come together to produce such an inviting atmosphere. Massive credits to the kicten crew who made my gluten-free, Japanese inspired white-miso pizza. My late wife Margaret would've loved to experience the explosive flavours combine across her taste buds. Don't take my word for it, pop in yourselves ;-).

Everyone who lives in the area wants not to like it, because it's perceived as being part of Crystal Palace's hipster invasion. I wanted to hate it too - so did my boyfriend - but it's utterly brilliant. GREAT pizzas with delicious toppings (and even decent albeit modest-sized salads when I've been dieting). My boyfriend highly recommends the craft beers, of which the staff are refreshingly knowledgeable. The creme de la (literal) creme however, is the ice cream. The gingerbread (topped with amaretti biscuits) is sublime; I implore you to try it. Bravo, 500 Rabbits; you exceeded expectations (and pvercame prejudices).

Me and my nemesis Walter "The Puppet Toucher" Kent had been struggling against one another for years. I had come to England for the final savage battle of wills. The duel was simple, we would take turns placing individual grains of sand into our eyes with tweezers until one of us broke. On the 503rd grain I could take no more and I yielded. I was humiliated and needed comfort. On the advice of a sturdy looking local woman I headed to the Four Hundred Rabbits. My eyes were still pretty blurry from the sand so I can't comment on the decor. However the sourdough pizza was a glamorous and glorious flavor explosion and the shrapnel of that explosion forever killed the negative stereotypes of English food. That day my pride was brought low but the Rabbit lifted my taste buds to new heights 5 stars.
