Franco Manca is an institution. And it's all about the the mouth-watering pizzas it serves. Yes, the vibe in the westbourne Grove spot is cool, with all the people watching that comes with it and the warm atmosphere, but everything is secondary to the pure joy one gets from biting into those cheesy pieces of heaven.

Their pizza is light and nice. I tried the #1 pizza, yes their menu has a number for each pizza which makes it simpler to order. It's basically tomato, basil and garlic pizza but they have 7 more options (8 pizza selection in total) its a simple but delicious menu. It's a chilled place, not very fancy. It's like Nandos for Pizzza 😀

I am not a "loving-pizza" person, but this was one of the best pizzas (the 2nd one) I have ever ate. The dough was really soft, airy and tasteful that I ate the WHOLE pizza (with the whole crust). (Usually I tend to be full with just 2 slices of pizza). The dough was also really thin, the ingredients are really high quality, for a really good price. Authentic pizzas with know-how.

Just moved from South Africa to the UK, i have to say this pizza is the best i have so far being here. Its also very affordable compared to what their competitors are charging. Its super authentic and have been back many times and will be going many more.

My favourite branch. Best crusty sourdough pizza. However service is not up to the standards. Very unorganised and all over the place. Literally 6 customers in the restaurant and they forgot to bring one of the three plates we ordered. Garlic dip nearly half a spoon at £1.50 served in a plastic container. I am sure with some effort they can do better. But the worst thing is the delivery guys from the various apps arriving outside the restaurant. A gand of mopped drivers yelling to the restaurant stuff to prepare their orders. Sitting outside is impossible with these guys next to you. I guess delivery is a stream of revenue but the whole situation is totally ridiculous and unacceptable.

Was walking past on xmas day and felt like a pizza for myself/fiance and her mum and sister., we were told they were only open for charity but as its xmas they wouldn't let us leave without a pizza so took the order of 3 I'd asked prior. Even better is when they came to give us our pizza we offered to give £30 to charity to help but they couldn't take any money as they can't divide it etc (we donated the money online to a charity when we got home) this pizza places staff are amazing and kind and shows that some people not only still have the Christmas spirit but also hearts of gold. Keep up the good work. (Also your pizza's are amazing) Thank you.

Really good pizzas!! The place is a bit crowded on weekends but overall a nice experience. There is vegan cheese and gluten free option for all pizzas. They are Italian-style, sourdough and cooked in a wood fire oven. The prices are also very affordable, around 7 pounds per pizza. Definitely recommended, would be coming back.

It was my first ever visit to a Franco Manca in Eestborne Grove. I honestly have to say I was surprised how great the pizza tasted! I was served by a lovely young lady called Ida who was very friendly and made an excellent recommendation. After having a few good last minute meals here with the kids just before second lockdown the service qas shocking We ordered starters which hadn't come before they started serving the mains we explained then they went and got the starter and the table was full of starters and mains at the same time Took over 15 minutes for the drinks we had ordered And was half way through the pizza by the time they bought the dips that we had ordered when ordering food. We even reminded them and asked for the dips over 4 times each time they were rude and were stood at the back of restaurant talking rather than getting the dips we had ordered Even though in the past we have had good service here this last experience has put us off and we will not be going back to this branch again

Came in early on what seemed like a slow evening. When ordering, I remember distinctly reviewing our choices several times: *this pizza* *this second pizza* and *this salad*, both spoken and pointing to the items on the menu, with the waiter repeating back to us. Food didn’t take long at all! We were surprised that the pizzas arrived before the salad, and then as we sliced up our personal pizzas and took the first bites, it hit us: maybe the salad wasn’t coming at all. Good thing, it turned out, the pizzas were quite filling. Took a while to get our server’s attention near the end, though another table in the restaurant had quite a few servers attending, maybe they were acquaintances? Were very happy with our pizzas, very tasty, and baffled at how our salad order could have gotten lost.

Lovely lunch with friends, friendly and fast service . Nice atmosphere we were there for a while , I recommend the starters olives and the garlic bread was really good 👍 ... Of course we had pizza has main dish se the pictures.... We try almost all the desserts my favourite was the tiramisu and the Panna cotta . If you are not big on sweet have the coffee and sfogliatine it's small but nice . Don't forget about coffee they have a nice blend I had the espresso and I recommend it .

Not a massive pizza fan so to give 5 stars is hard for me as I dont typically rate pizza. ***Reasons for 4: Great atmosphere with authentic stone oven on show. Chefs are open to see. The authenticity is hard to ignore. Friendly waiting staff. Laugh when a joke has been cracked. Trust me not all staff are so happy to laugh with you. Pizza itself was pretty good. Base, thin. Dough was fresh, for me a little too chewy, however most people must love that as they're really popular. Cheese was stretchy (boom!), toppings so fresh with perfect drizzle of olive oil to finish. If you wanted more drizzle, plenty at your table to self serve. Could do with a little more of the actual meat on my pizza. Or maybe it looked less because the sausage was cut so thick. Anyway all in all, for the price, was actually very impressive. ***1 less star: Not enough staff. We could not pay for our bill at our table as the waiting staff couldnt even notice us. Too rushed to pass out food and take orders. We ended up standing up and walking over to ask and pay for the bill. Tables were a little closer than I would like. Then again was a relatively small restaurant so totally understand that they need to make do with the space they have to adhere to more customers. Bayswater is a very busy wee place every evening so this is standard. Little awkward when you are squashing past 2 tables to find a waiter. Overall, definitely head this way. Price for the food, beverage and overall atmosphere is better than what you would usually get in Bayswater.

Never a bad meal. Simple menu is extremely effective to avoid selection fatigue. I regularly describe this place to friends as a great example of choosing the menu by available, seasonal ingredients. There is often a wait for a table here, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, and it is not unusual to see people queuing outside.

I love Franco Manca. I’m a massive fan. Unfortunately, this time, I was put in the cold basement. I don’t think the space should be used as seating for customers as it is ice cold down there. I really hope they stick some heating on down there as I ate in my two sweaters and hoodie. The food was good but took quite a lot longer than normal as we were slightly forgotten about in the quiet, cold basement. Otherwise, I do love Franca Manca.

Franco Manca is by far the best pizza joint in the city. This authentic pizza restaurant only serves sourdough Neapolitan pizza. In Italian the name means – Franco's gone, in reference to the pizzeria, Frankie’s, which previously occupied the Brixton site. Giuseppe Mascoli, the founder's intention was merely to take pizza back to its roots and give his customers the same that he had known as a boy growing up near Naples. In his own words, "All I ever wanted to do was create perfect, simple food at an affordable price and give it a following." He has transformed the hearts and stomaches of Londoner's everywhere. A pizza is made with a special finest strong white organic flour, made especially for the purpose in Italy by Molino Caputo and a sourdough (fermented flour “starter”) that can be dated back to the late 18th century, procured by Mascoli from a bakery near his hometown in Italy. This restaurant is a MUST for anyone who loves Pizza.
